UTS Chairman and Founder Patrick Mouratoglou sits down with Nick Kyrgios (King Kyrgios) and Alexander Bublik (The Bublik Enemy) ahead of UTS New York this August. This seventh episode of iconic show "All on the Table" was taped in London, just near Hyde Park, in the meticulously designed space of the bar and restaurant The Aubrey, at the Mandarin Oriental. The trio dive into everything to do with tennis. From their worse losses, to Kyrgios not warming up and Bublik hating people being late, getting a behind the scenes look at tennis from their perspective. As usual, it's a fascinating chat, where Djokovic, Nadal, Medvedev, Serena, Rune, Wawrinka, Murray, Monfils, but also Roberto Carballés Baena and Paul Jubb happen to be part of the conversation.
ParentingAces - The Junior Tennis and College Tennis Podcast
Welcome to Season 13 Episode 43 of the ParentingAces Podcast, a proud member of the Tennis Channel Podcast Network. This week, Lisa talks with former touring pro and current WTA coach of Marta Kostyuk, Sandra Zaniewska. Be sure to check out the video version of this episode for a peek at Marta's 6-month-old Maltipoo puppy named Mandar! Sandra, a professional tennis coach born in Warsaw, Poland and based in Southern France, shared her journey into coaching and her coaching philosophy, emphasizing the importance of understanding and nurturing the growth of junior tennis players. She also discussed the challenges and importance of guiding parents through the journey of raising a junior tennis player, and the need for collaboration and sharing experiences among coaches. Sandra started playing tennis at age 10 and became a professional player, reaching a singles high ranking of 142. After retiring at 26, she began coaching and found it to be a fulfilling experience. Sandra credits her success to her willingness to learn from other experienced coaches and her ability to adapt to each player's unique needs. She emphasized the importance of unlearning previous coaching methods when working with a new player, a lesson she learned from Patrick Mouratoglou. She went on to discuss the importance of understanding and nurturing the growth of junior tennis players, beyond just their technical skills. She emphasized the role of a coach in guiding players to develop their natural strengths and style of play, rather than trying to mold them into a specific type. Sandra shared her personal experience as a player, highlighting the confusion and lack of confidence she faced when trying to conform to a typical style of play. She concluded that it's crucial for coaches to see players with fresh eyes and create training plans based on their unique abilities and potential. Sandra emphasized the need for coaches to be proactive and focus on being the best coach for their players, rather than fearing losing them. She also shared her experiences of writing books, with her first book, "Coaching 2.0: How to Develop Great Female Players on and off the Court," focusing on the connection with players and the mental aspect of coaching. Her second book, "Raising Champions: The Ultimate Guide for Tennis Parents," was born out of her role as a high-level director at the Mouratoglou Academy, where she was responsible for scouting and coaching top players. Ben catches up with Tumaini, who is freshly back from Berlin, about the state of the Laver Cup, which might as well be called the Federer Cup for how it foregrounds the retired superstar. We discuss the relevance, successes, and struggles of the event, and contrast it with Davis Cup, which had a lumpy round of competition in recent weeks to set up for its big final this year later in Spain. Speaking of the tennis calendar, we discuss the age-old complaints about the tennis calendar which were given renewed voice by Carlos Alcaraz (and pushed back on by his rival Jannik Sinner). Then we switch to the women's side, and go in-depth on the huge news of Naomi Osaka hiring Patrick Mouratoglou, a collision of two of the biggest brands in tennis. Will they be a good fit? And how do we judge Mouratoglou's pedigree to this point? We also discuss Coco Gauff's own coaching change, Sinner hiring Djokovic's ex-team members, and what the future might hold in store for both Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Plus, a little rant on tennis promoters being shady about stars who are unlikely to stay entered in events, and Ben teases a new project! Thank you for listening! In this episode of GOOD TROUBLE with Nick Kyrgios, we welcome the legendary tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou, known for his transformative work with some of the greatest tennis players, including Serena Williams. Having struggled with extreme shyness and social anxiety during his childhood, Patrick reveals how he turned it into a strength, which has set him apart as a coach. One positive remark from a teacher changed Patrick's life and he now applies that same principle in his coaching, always focusing on the positives and looking at his players with a “kind eye”. Patrick also reflects on the infamous 2018 US Open final between Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams, and how they brought a lot of eyes to tennis. Both Nick and Patrick have faced criticism for not conforming to traditional roles in tennis, but they've pushed boundaries to provoke change in the game. Netflix's Break Point cost millions, took months to be completed, several of the most talented people in the industry, and still can't hold a candle to the ATP Season, a comedic 5-minute parody of what the tennis season is like. Players pretending that everything we see is fake, and some of the best acting from your favourite players like Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, and Gael Monfils. What is missing to the multi-million dollar production by the entertainment giant? What did Netflix miss? For starters, we think that they should get rid of the F1: Drive to Survive thinking and find their own mission statement. We also talk about the most controversial coach in modern tennis, Patrick Mouratoglou. Who is he really? A great coach? A PR genius with a way to make people talk about himself? A... clown? We don't quite believe in this last option, but the true merits of Mouratoglou as an elite tennis coach are a good topic to be explored - one that might bring about an entire episode of its own.Touching briefly on some of the WTA matches this week, Andre recommended the Abu Dhabi semifinals, but obviously these are over by now. So if you can, go watch a replay of Rybakina vs Samsonova and Haddad Maia vs Kasatkina! Both of these were amazing. And don't forget to catch the final on Sunday! Finally, we ended up having to chat about Saudi Arabia's involvement in tennis. What to expect? What to do as fans? How can we still enjoy good tennis, and at the same time keep in mind that Saudi Arabia is far from being a role-model of a country, being a quite brutal dictatorship with many shortcomings when it comes to human rights? Ultimately, though, money talks for the big players.Talk to us on social media :)Follow Tennis and Bagels: Twitter @TennisAndBAGELSAndre Rolemberg @RolembergAndreVansh Vermani @vanshv2kOwen Lewis @tennisnationOwen's The Golden Rivalry: follow all chapters as they are released on substack!Check out Popcorn Tennis!Twitter: @Popcorn_Tennis1Website: popcorntennis.comSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/tennis-and-bagels. It's hard to know where to start with the WTA Finals in Cancun, where the poor conditions and seemingly shoddy preparation overshadowed much of the actual play. The WTA is suffering a reputational crisis and a player rebellion, with players complaining publicly and demanding better conditions, scheduling, income, and leave policies. Amidst all this noise, Iga Swiatek stomps through the field and regains the #1 ranking. Elsewhere, Alexander Zverev was issued a penalty order in the domestic abuse case brought by his ex-partner Brenda Patea. Of special interest to us is the ATP's continued mishandling of the Zverev problem and abuse allegations in general. In et ceteras, Patrick Mouratoglou “feels” responsible for Simona's ban but stops short of saying he is responsible. 01:30 Novak wins Paris Masters and the gulf has hardly ever felt bigger 08:10 Iga Swiatek's deeply impressive run in Cancun + the hellish conditions, natural and otherwise 17:10 The backdrop of the player frustrations: a letter of player demands and the WTA's late response 28:20 The PTPA's media blitz 30:00 Wrapping the WTA Finals chat with doubles 33:05 Zverev issued a penalty order for bodily harm against former partner and mother of his child 39:40 The ATP's inaction: a timeline 50:15 Patrick, do you feel responsible or are you responsible?
Ben and Tumaini read the 126-page decision in the tribunal's decision to convict former No. 1 Simona Halep on two charges of intentional doping, and give you a deep dive into the details of the document and expound on what it all means. In the first half of this episode we get into the details so you don't have to, explaining the reasons why the tribunal was "comfortably satisfied" of Halep's guilt, and how they arrived to those two parallel verdicts through different detection methods. We also discuss why Halep's defenses failed, and what she was trying to achieve with her focus on delays to the process. In the second part of the deep dive, we explore the ramifications of these convictions, the most serious convictions a tennis star has ever received, and what they mean for Halep, her coach Patrick Mouratoglou, and the sport of tennis writ large. There's a lot to unpack here, and it's not always fun, but we hope we can shed some light on this complex case for you. Thank you for listening, and if you enjoy deep dives into tennis please pre-order Ben's biography of Naomi Osaka, coming out soon!

Simona Halep is back where she belongs - winning big titles and inside the World's Top 10. How did she win in Toronto without always playing her best tennis? In what way has Patrick Mouratoglou helped her this season? And can she keep it going in New York? Catherine, David and Matt talk it all through at the end of a thrilling week. Elsewhere from Toronto, there's chat about Beatriz Haddad Maia doing big things, Iga Swiatek's dip in form, and Coco Gauff becoming doubles World No.1. Over in Montreal, Pablo Carreno Busta beat Hubert Hurkacz to win the biggest title of his career, and he looked absolutely delighted about it. We talk about how he defied our expectations this week, what his victory means for the men's US Open Mix, and a strong showing from Dan Evans. And the tennis just keeps coming! With Cincinnati already upon us, there's a battle for the men's No.1 spot and huge excitement for Serena Williams vs. Emma Raducanu.
