Click: https://www.info.growthinstitute.com/opsp/MTISummaryDo you want to know how you can 10x your impact without all the stress and drama? We may have big plans for our team, but not until you have a simple yet effective strategy to execute it, you'll have a hard time aligning it with your team. This can later on cause drama and tension. To effectively increase your impact (even by 10x) and have less drama, you need to plan everything, even the unexpected things.Daniel Marcos is the co-founder and CEO of Growth Institute, the leading online education company for C-level executives at fast-growing firms. If you want to 2x or 3x your company in the next couple of years, we're the guys that help you do that.03:33 - The problem he helps solve: We help them to solve really main two things-- get the right strategy, and get everyone on the same page. And then some disciplines process and everything to help implement it correctly. 05:08 - The symptoms of the problem: Everything that happens that is not planned creates trouble. What we do is we- that's when they call us. When they have a lot of drama. 06:44 - Clients' common mistakes before consulting Daniel: The first one is they don't have the strategy in a simple and clear format that makes sense for everyone to understand. So we work a lot with strategy.08:39 - Daniel's Valuable Free Action (VFA): Take the time to write a plan. So, as an example, as I said earlier, people say, “I want my team to be on the same page.” And they said, "Show me the page." They don't have their strategy written on one page. 09:28 - Daniel's Valuable Free Resource (VFR): Want to know how to create a strategy that effectively works for you and your team? And then we get to the office, we bring a lot of drama to our teams, I always wake up two hours before I need to engage in business. Tweetable Takeaways from this Episode:“You're going to have a great idea, but if you cannot implement it, it's not worth it.” -Daniel Marcos

In a recent podcast episode, Rafael engaged in a captivating conversation with Dave Coffaro, an authority in strategy, change leadership, and organizational growth. Dave stressed the importance of agility in leadership and the need for organizations to adapt swiftly in today's dynamic business landscape. His insights are a valuable resource for navigating change successfully. I had an amazing conversation with Dave Coffaro for our podcast, and I'm excited to share the incredible insights he provided. Dave, an expert in strategy, change leadership, and organizational growth, delivered valuable wisdom during our chat. Dave serves as a Principal of the Strategic Advisory Consulting Group. Dave works with service businesses, financial services, academic insurance professional service firms, and nonprofits in refining and redesigning their future state to achieve accelerating growth, more favorable economics, or both. His work also includes serving as interim CEO for organizations in transition. Dave is also published and has a number of articles and blogs that are published in SmartBrief on leadership, the American Management Association Journal, Board Leadership, and the ABA banking journal, to name a few. Dave is also an author and his latest book is Leading from Zero: Seven Essential Elements of Earning Relevance. Dave begins by highlighting that leadership extends beyond the C-suite; it's a quality that can be exhibited by individuals at all levels within an organization. It involves making choices, bringing innovative ideas to the forefront, and positively influencing the organization. He emphasizes the importance of leveraging competencies, recognizing your organization's strengths, and seeking partnerships that complement those strengths. The goal is to adapt and evolve while remaining true to your core competencies. Dave introduces the concept of organizational agility, a vital attribute in today's rapidly changing business landscape. This conversion of culture and conscious business was so fluid that you would have thought that Kindra and her two guests, Adam and Thomas, had known each other and talked for years. This was the first time we have done a live stream where the guests could listen and post questions on the Culture Crush Business Podcast- and it was awesome! Thank you to all of the listeners that chimed in and posted questions in the chat. Thank you to Phoenix Business RadioX and Conscious Capitalism Arizona Chapter for sharing it out. They were great questions that we went over toward the end of the show. This conversation dove into many stories and examples of the actions and importance for growing a conscious business- even if it seems a little backwards sometimes. For example, Adam discussed how Goodmans Interior Structures no longer requires their office staff to come into the office to work. This might seem a little backwards for a company that builds and sells office furniture. Instead, they are assessing and redesigning the office into a place where employees want to come into the office. They took into consideration what the employees said and wanted and are putting it into action. This conscious business move will help grow and support the needs of the employees, and therefore the overall culture of the company. This conversation is a great one to listen to if you are a leader trying to improve your company culture and wanting to learn more about conscious capitalism and how it can help influence and support the change you are trying to make in your company. According to Thomas, “Consciousness has no finish line” which means we can always learn and add to our growth and our tool box. When it comes to helping companies grow in conscious ways, Thomas is the man for the job. He has supported the growth of various Conscious Capitalism chapters as well as helped over 800 leaders in his program on developing their conscious journey. He gives away a few of these tips in the podcast conversation with Adam as well. Thank you to our sponsor, the Conscious Capitalism Arizona Chapter, for seeing the value in this conversation of conscious capitalism, culture, and these two amazing gentlemen. Episode 25 of the Jess Get Hired Podcast is entitled, Eggrolls and Eyerolls. In honor of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month #AAPI, I made it in time to share my lighthearted take on what it's like to be an Asian in Corporate America. To be more specific, Filipino. I briefly discuss why Asian women are precluded from leadership positions at America's Top Companies, as well as the boardroom's lack of diversity. I'll also share a few of my "eye-roll" moments. I share my stories and experiences, as well as address the most common misconceptions that most people have: "Where are you from?" "You aren't Asian enough...." "Asians never seem to age,......you look like you're 12." "Asians become doctors or nurses..." "You know Karate, right?" ...and more.... This is a good-natured conversation that I hope entertains you while also shedding light on our differences and allowing us to laugh about it.. Steven E. Sukup was born in Sheffield, Iowa and attended the Iowa State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. A Republican, he served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1995 to 2003 for Iowa's 18th district. Steve is now the President and CEO of Sukup Manufacturing. We don't get to interview very many guests that have their own Wikipedia page! Our goal in the conversation today is to help provide insights to our listeners on how they can become better leaders to help them grow and ultimately leader to higher farm or business profitability.Let's first roll through a little of the Sukup History – Giving us a starting Point for perspective on this conversation:Eugene Sukup, a young farmer, found drying to be slow, and pockets of grain began to overheat and spoil. Eugene began making the stirring augers and he patented the idea for the Stirway® stirring machine, and Eugene and Mary Sukup founded Sukup Manufacturing Co. in 1963. Sukup continued to expand the company to include a full line of grain handling products, including dryers in 1998. (Nearly 60 years in the grain bin industry as family owned)After serving as the President of his company for 32 years, Eugene Sukup turned over the position to his son, Charles, in 1995. His son Steve served as the company Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Steve also served in the Iowa Legislature from 1994-2002 and was Speaker Pro Tem of the Iowa House of Representatives. What did you learn about yourself to balance your responsibilities as an elected official and the family business day to day responsibilities? What were some key things you learned about your state during your time as a representative?Eugene held the role of Chairman of the Board, and was active in the business until passing away in July 2018. What were some of the big characteristics of your dad that made him who he was and led to his success? Also, what about traits your brother Charles has that led to his success in the 25 years as CEOIn 2001, Sukup took a significant step and began manufacturing the grain bins themselves providing a “one stop shop” for grain storage and handling needs, and becoming an innovation leader in the bin industry with multiple patented features. On February 1, 2020, Charles Sukup transitioned to Chairman of the Board, and Steve Sukup assumed the role of President and CEO. Much of the family is involved in the company. What about having family involved in the success of Sukup makes them even more special? How does your family handle the regular company struggles when working with family?Do the family dynamics in Sukup resemble those dynamics of a family farm?Sukup Manufacturing Co. has kept its home in Sheffield, Iowa, the same community where Eugene and Mary founded the company in 1963. It employs more than 600 people.Ten years after a massive earthquake devastated Haiti, there are more than 300 Sukup SafeTHomes® in Haiti, and nearly 400 total worldwide. Sukup partners with non-profit organization GoServ Global to distribute these hurricane-proof structures for post-disaster relief.Where or who did the idea come from for the safe-t-home project?Sukup Manufacturing Co. remains the world's largest family-owned and operated manufacturer of grain storage, grain drying and handling equipment, and steel buildings.Sukup Manufacturing doesn't get to where it is by accident. There has been some great leadership before you and with your contributions as well. How can our listeners start working on themselves to be better individual leaders for the farms, their families, and their communities?Q: WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE YOU'VE EVER BEEN GIVEN?A: I like to say that moving targets are harder to hit. So as long as you're making progress, moving forward, make sure you have good information, make a decision, and then work hard to make it a success.Q: YOUR FAMILY IS ON A FIRST-NAME BASIS WITH MANY PEOPLE IN THE STATE AND ACROSS THE INDUSTRY. YOU'VE BEEN GENEROUS IN SHEFFIELD, AT IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY, AND AROUND THE WORLD. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN TO YOU?We enjoy our community. Iowa has been good to us. It's a great place. I think I'm up to 42 states, and I've visited 31 countries, but I live in Iowa by choice and I enjoy it. It's a great place with friendly people, and everybody's interactive with each other.Q: WHAT KEEPS YOU UP AT NIGHT?Q: WHAT IS THE STEEL MARKET LIKE NOW?
