Today opens with a much needed philosophical discussion. We often get bogged down in discussion of left v right, black v white, rich v poor. We have to understand there is something much darker in the world and we have to decide on which side we want fall. We are going to have to deal with the fact that we have those who revere life and liberty and freedom versus those who believe in death and submission and control. Hamas has relied on the typical and predictable pattern from the West of siding with Palestinians after they provoke an attack and then get hit with the retaliatory strike. Every time Israel is attacked, the response of the Legacy/mainstream media and the Left is to immediately call for a cease-fire and even condemn Israel for their response. It's been later-rinse-repeat for decades. But, for whatever reason, that isn't happening this time and we need to make sure we break that cycle for good. There is no such thing as negotiating “peace” with a group who reveres death. You cannot talk about normalizing relations with a culture who demands the extermination of the other. This all pre-dates the state of Israel, by the way. While the Left throws around the “Nazi” label for anyone they do not like, the truth of the matter is Hamas has direct ties to the WWII Nazi movement. Because of that, I take a moment to recap some of the history I learned by reading some of works by Alaa al-Ameri. While Germany was ramping up their extermination machine, Amin al-Hussenini, the grand mufti of Jerusalem from the 1920's to 1930's, became a devoted supporter and ally of Adolf Hitler. Prior to this, it is well documented that a lot of work and compromise between 19th and early 20th century Arabs and Zionists was underway. Amin al-Husseini can be traced back to one of the early founders of the modern Palestinian-nationalist movement. His admiration of Hitler's dedication to exterminating the Jewish race fueled his role in developing the modern Islamist movement. Thus, if you are finding yourself siding with Hamas and the Palestinians, you are siding with the very ideology that led the Nazi's murdering more than 6 million human beings. I end the show with some of the lines from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech from yesterday. It was powerful. It was succinct. And, it needs to be followed through to the end. Because, this isn't about left v right, but life v death. We need to all come together to crush this Nazi inspired view that pervades the modern Islamist movement. Sherman Ray survived WWII Nazi death camp, Auschwitz, by sewing German uniforms. He was targeted by the Germans not once, but twice to be transported to the infamous Auschwitz. The first time, as a young man, was with his family. Sherman had heard rumors of the camps and wanted his family to jump from the train with him to escape, but they refused, so he jumped alone. That was the last time he saw his parents, sister, and younger brother. They were among thousands of Jews rounded up after Hitler's army stormed through Poland.After leaping from the moving train, he hid in the woods and lived by whatever means available. Eventually, he was captured a second time by German soldiers and transported to Auschwitz—this time, he was not lucky enough to escape. After arriving at the concentration camp, Sherman was saved by his tailoring skills and the soldiers put him to work making Nazis uniforms. For four years, he made his captors clothing while he watched many other Jews die of starvation and disease, and heard the screams of those in the death chambers.Sherman was liberated in 1945 and eventually came to Oklahoma City and then Tulsa where he continued his work as a tailor and became the owner of Ray's Tailor Shop.The number B2526 was tattooed on his wrist by the Nazis. Sherman had the constant reminder of his past covered with a butterfly tattoo to help him forget.His fondness for America is apparent when he says, “If I have to give my life for this country, I will.”

As Germany found its forces split to fight the British Commonwealth in North Africa and Greece and the vast Soviet front in 1941, the Luftwaffe found that even with its proven fighters such as the Messerschmitt Bf109 and the Focke Wulf 190, they simply didn't have enough to meet all the requirements Hitler asked of them effectively. What they needed was a new weapon which would leap-frog German fighter technology far beyond what the Allies possessed. A weapon that was not only deadly but simply unstoppable. They needed a Wunderwaffen and they believed they had one on the drawing board already. The Messerschmitt Me262. The first operational jet fighter in the world. With a level speed of 560mph, an altitude ceiling of 37,750ft and a rate of climb recorded at 3,900ft a minute, the Allies simply had nothing like it in their inventory. It could blast through fighter escorts and wreak havoc on Allied bombers with its four cannons mounted in its nose that could almost saw their way through a bomber's fuselage. But despite the promise, one fact has remained undeniable throughout the history of warfare and that is that any weapon ever fielded has only been as good as the person using it. Therefore, in this episode we are going to examine some of Germany's top jet fighter aces of World War II. The first jet aces. Welcome to Wars of the World.

Too impractical to build, let alone make it to mass production, most Wunderwaffe never even became prototypes. On this episode of the Sofa King Podcast, we travel back in time to look at one of the earliest events of UFO history, the Foo Fighters of World War Two. Before a grunge band took the name, it was a term used by the US Army to describe unexplained phenomenon that pilots saw over various battle fronts in the war. From the Pacific to Africa, Germany to the Mediterranean, these strange lights in the sky were seen. So what did the pilots see when they reported Foo Fighters? They were typically lights that looked like multi colored fire floating in the sky near aircraft that were flying night missions (though sometimes the lights formed shapes like a T or were cigar shaped). The Foo Fighters changed course to keep apace of the airplanes. They sped up, slowed down, and at times seemed to play with the pilots. The airmen who saw these came to the conclusion that they were under intelligent control. None of the pilots thought they were alien in origin, but some sort of Axis weapon, aircraft, or surveillance device, so they took the presence of Foo Fighters seriously. Though they were spotted all through the war, the thing that made them the most famous was a string of sightings from the 415th Night Fighter Squadron in 1944. This squad gave them their name, based on an old comic strip. In fact, an embedded Associate Press reporter for the 415th is the one who made the sightings known to a larger audience when he published an article about the Foo Fighters. So what were these strange UFOs? Many theories run from them being pilot fatigue to St. Elmo’s Fire to a German device (such as the Wernher von Braun’s V2 Rocket or something called a Feuerball), but none of these quite fit the unique characteristics of the Foo Fighters and their behavior in the air. This is world of Swedish Historia. My name is Johan Romin and I am a Swedish journalist based in Stockholm. Just couple of days ago I ran across a news paper article from 1986 - it was in the research of a coming program about the murder of Olof Palme - and I looked thru all Svenska Dagbladet news papers from 1986. And i november of that year I read that the Simon Wiesenthal center in Los Angeles had sent a document to the Swedish embassy in Washington, it was a list of Nazi criminals that they said lived in Sweden. These men had been collaborators to the Nazi regime in the Baltic states of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia during world war 2, and they had lived in Sweden from the 1940s or 50s and they had never been investigated or prosecuted even though they had killing Jews during the Holocaust. In 1986 the government of Sweden had made the list confidential but I contacted our ministry of foreign affairs in order to get the list. And I am still waiting for their answer. And then I called Efraim Zuroff at the Simon Wiesenthal center, who is living in Jerusalem to get the background on how the Swedish government reacted when they got the list.
