I don't typically release my podcast on Sunday, but this is no typical podcast. This week my special guest is Chris Ducker, author of Rise of the Youpreneur and Virtual Freedom. When I first started my entrepreneurial journey, I was a bit leery of personal branding...Would I be better off with the Acme Copywriting Academy, or is it better to stick my name on everything? I believe in almost every case it's best to be your brand and I credit Chris Ducker with teaching me many of the tactics I've used to build mine. So...Why the Sunday Release? Like so many others, Chris's annual live event, The Youpreneur Summit, was cancelled due to the pandemic. As Chris puts it in the podcast, he wanted to do something to bring people together and teach his "Build, Market, Monetize" process - which he'll be doing online, for free, starting tomorrow (Monday, 11/16/20). I take no joy in Chris's (or anyone else's) event being canceled, but this does make things a bit more accessible for those of us in the US as the live event takes place in London. Adding some of Chris's wisdom to your arsenal is a smart move and since he's offering this 3 day bootcamp for free, I suggest you jump on it. So many entrepreneurs know that they have what it takes to make a difference. The talent, drive and desire is there but something always seems to hold them back from becoming their best selves. Author and speaker Todd Herman takes the Youpreneur Summit stage to help unlock the hero inside as he dives into the Alter Ego effect and the science behind why this is such a powerful strategy. One of my favorite examples Todd shared during his talk was Winston Churchill who used to stand in front of a wall of hats and he would ask himself, “which self should I be today”. It was this kind of mindset of using an alter ego that helped him lead his country to victory and what so many other top-performers have used as well. Todd also shares how we develop our own identities, which creates our results and the process you can use so you can experience what you’re truly capable of.  Essential Learning Points From This Episode: How we create our identities and the science behind why it’s so powerful. Why and how people get trapped when trying to excel. The process you can use so you can experience what you are capable of. How you can decide how to show up on the field. Much, much more! https://empjoyment.com "I feel like this is the first time I have been truly seen..." I spent the last week in London at the Youpreneur Summit. What will stay with me always are the 5 people who shared with me that they felt fully seen as a result of a conversation with me. These were 5 people who in a lot of visible ways have achieved more success than me and more impact than me. AND through it all, felt more like my peers than most other people I encountered. They were each a more powerful leader than others tend to see. They had created success in unconventional ways and were at the precipice of something beyond that. They didn’t know it yet, but it was shining out of them as brightly as a candle in a dark room. Their work was not done - it is time from them to take their success and start creating unconventional impact. But it’s not something most of us choose see - in ourselves and in others. We often focus on the outer journey of being visible (likes, views, hearts, mentions, audience size, downloads, books sold, etc.) As movement leaders, we are required to go beyond the surface of what looks good to make our inner journey visible as well. You can shift the entire trajectory of someone’s life by giving them the gift of being seen, heard, and understood. This used to be a "fru-fru" kind of statement to me until the people I worked with consistently started their own movements, leveled up their impact, and started to change their world during the time we worked together. I’ll say it so you don’t have to: "You are here to change the world in a way that only you can. " If you are ready to fully step into being a powerful and authentic leader who ushers us into a new and brighter future, we should talk. I am curating a special group experience for 10 Trailblazers who, like you, know they can take their impact to the next level and want a guide and companions as they navigate the uncharted territories of this next frontier. You cannot simply buy your way into this group and program. I’m not here to convince you to join it either. You’ll already know it’s for you if you have felt the calling to something greater. I acknowledge you for stepping into this level of leadership and impact. You are here to change the world. We’re here to help you become the leader who does. If now is the time for you or someone you know to answer or figure out your purpose and your soul’s calling to elevate the future of your world, leave a comment/send a message and I will invite you to explore whether we will be the tribe that helps you as you fulfill your purpose.

David KilKelly and his company BlinkBack have become experts using video for LinkedIn. The story leading up to this point in BlinkBack’s history is a good one. He and his wife left their high paying salary gigs in corporate and academia to move their family to the country. David had enjoyed teaching media at the University of Sussex for over ten years. He ultimately realized that he wanted to get into a smaller community where he could build and manage his own business. With this realization, David and his wife decided to move their family to a southern part of England for a warmer climate and a better quality of life. The thriller part of this is that they had no business experience and no network awaiting them. Our conversation begins with how David became acquainted with mutual friend Chris Ducker, founder of The Youpreneur Academy. The discussion continues with insights on the following.
