If you listen to the Awaken Beauty Podcast, you're a woman in pursuit of high-quality thoughts, beauty, and lifestyle products. You also are probably aware that we are exposed to hundreds of chemicals every single day -In fact, to dial it in, Studies show that we are exposed to over 500 synthetic chemicals every day - within our homes. One of the leading chemicals that wreaks havoc on our hormones and endocrine system is called Xenoestrogens. Our guest today matches my passion for awakening individuals at any point in their health journey by providing highly researched, vetted, and efficient optimal health and aging solutions. For over a decade, I've been educating and creating beauty and wellness products - before organic “was status quo” - and ladies, this is far deeper than “clean products.” So through a Functional Medicine lens, joining us today is Dr. Anthony Jay - who is a scientist, author, and leading expert on a wealth of topics including xenoestrogens, epigenetics, and even stem cells. In this epic episode, we'll explore the macro and micro on how our environment, diet, genetic expression, and endocrine disruptors affect the aging process, our health, and even the brain. Of course, what you can do about it. About Doctor Anthony Jay: Not falling short of credibility - Dr. Jay is the founder of AJ Consulting Company and a scientist at the Mayo Clinic. He offers incredible insights into your health and how to improve it with precision through high-level DNA testing, where he has experience of analyzing the DNA of individuals in the NFL, U.S. special forces, MMA fighters, and 100's of individuals seeking peak health. HOW THEY ENTERMost exposure comes from our very own home- but we can be masters of our home. Endocrine disrupters are a thousand times than normal estrogen. Not all are manmade: one of the strongest xenoestrogens out there come from mold toxins as a mycotoxin - namely “ZEA.” Bruce Blumberg's book “The obesogen effect” proves how critical detoxing efficiently is if you want to beat the battle of the bulge.HOW WE METABOLIZE & AFFECT OUR HEALTHHow Xenoestrogens affect the mind by dropping natural motivationHow estrogen can SAVE your health and damage your health: The difference between natural and artificial estrogen. The rate of breast cancer has increased by 250% since the 1980s.Gut Dysbiosis – Insufficient good bacteria in the gut inhibits the conversion of estrogen into water-soluble molecules. This causes the estrogens to recirculate back into the bloodstream where it can re-exert their effects. Gut health is very important for the metabolism of all hormones.WHAT TO LOOK FORBirth-control Pills - whether taking them or not, they're found in our water - filter!A Shower filter can reduce toxins in the water getting into our pores (step out of the shower, our pores are open, and we start to overload the system with lotions, creams, and perfumes). Environmentally, the air within the home hosts sheetrock that has a high mercury content which is a heavy metal and is an endocrine disrupter. Are you dimming your own light because you don't want to overshadow others? Are you constantly taking care of everyone else at the expense of your own needs and goals? This is what Brené Brown calls engineering smallness. In other words, you shy away from your truth and potential because you are worried about protecting others and, oftentimes, yourself. Engineering smallness can take endless forms, including not setting boundaries with your family and friends, settling into a career that feels comfortable rather than striving for your dream job, or deferring to your partner rather than setting your own expectations, just to name a few examples. The problem with making yourself small is that you're only delaying an inevitable reckoning with yourself. While you may not notice it, the many moments when you put your true self on the back burner compound, slowly growing into an insidious collection of regrets. So, in this week's episode of Breaking Labels, host Rosanna Gill implores listeners to ask themselves the following question: “How can I play big today?” By finding simple, yet meaningful, ways to consistently show up for yourself, you can start transforming your regrets into personal successes, so your light can shine through in full force.Quotes• “It is really easy to engineer smallness for yourself and to justify it by putting everybody else before yourself. That's whether it's your kids, whether it's your spouse, whether it's your parents. And I'm not saying don't be there for them, but I'm also saying don't use them as an excuse to not do the thing that you know you're called to do.” (4:58-5:18)• “Whatever your goal weight is, understand that when you get there, if you get there….and a woman makes a comment about your size, it is not for you to feel bad about that. I'm going to tell you what I wish somebody had told me: you, be proud of yourself. You did whatever you needed to do to get to that size. If somebody is uncomfortable in their own skin, that's on them. It is not on you.” (9:38-10:10)• “I cannot encourage you enough: find a way to show up for yourself.” (13:16-13:23)• “In hindsight, I absolutely see that that was me playing small. That was me choosing what was comfortable in the moment over what I ultimately wanted. And how often do we do that? Sometimes we do it so much that we don't even notice it until it's late, until you wake up one day and you think, ‘How did I get here? This was not where I wanted to be, this is not where I wanted to go, and yet, I ended up here by tiny decisions, by tiny negotiations with myself, by tiny compromises that felt miniscule, insignificant in the moment.'” (21:35-22:15)• “So whatever your situation may be, whether you're playing small with your partner by constantly deferring to them or not asking them to show up in the relationship to the extent that you do, whether you're playing small in your career, playing small with your friends, playing small with strangers...STOP and just ask yourself, ‘How can I play big today?'” (24:46-25:24LinksConnect with host Rosanna Gill and Breaking Labels:• https://www.instagram.com/breakinglabelspodcast/• https://breakinglabelspodcast.com/• https://www.instagram.com/rosanna.e.gill/Rosanna is now offering a 12-week coaching program focused on helping YOU craft positive narratives for long-lasting transformation. Have you ever played out endless scenarios of a heated conversation in your head, only to have it go nothing as you expected it would? Host Rosanna Gill has gone into this negative spiral countless times, working herself up over imagined conversations that ultimately never happened. So, where does this intense concern for other people's expectations come from? Why do we expect people to react poorly, when in reality, the conversation goes smoothly? In this week's episode, Rosanna will explore the concept of enmeshment as a potential answer to this question. Enmeshment describes a relationship where the personal boundaries between individuals are permeable and unclear. For example, did you ever have to put your own wants and needs on hold so that you could fit in with the family collective? This is an example of enmeshment, and it could be impacting the way you set and hold boundaries in your adult life.Tune into our newest episode of Breaking Labels for a conversation about critically examining your past to better inform your present. Learn why creating your own manifesto can help you set lasting standards, why you can ask people NOT to give their advice, and how to let go of others' expectations for good.Quotes• “Where does this intense concern for other people's expectations come from?” (6:20-6:28)• “Where [enmeshment] becomes an issue as an adult is you don't all of a sudden wake up as an adult and think, ‘Well, I know how to stand on my own two feet as far as thoughts and decide what my standards and expectations will be.' Because you've had to put your own desires on the back burner for the sake of fitting in with your family collective for so long that you've kind of lost the ability to connect with your intuitive self.” (10:39-11:16)• “If you haven't looked at your people pleasing and how you respond to other people's expectations, I'm going to tell you right now that it doesn't matter how much you make, it doesn't matter what your title is, you are still going to have the same struggles until you get to the root of why and, more importantly, until you decide what your standards and expectations are for yourself.” (13:12-13:40)• “You can tell a friend, you can tell a loved one, that you don't want their advice….Here's the beauty of people that love you: when you set that boundary, if they love you, they're going to test it a few more times FYI, but they will learn to respect it. YOU have to be the one to decide, though, what that boundary is and what you will and will not take.” (21:21-21:40)• “You have that person in your life, you see their name and you automatically feel stressed, you automatically feel anxious, you automatically feel resentment. If those are the responses you get when you see that person's name, you are probably over concerned with their expectations of you and their expectations of you are not aligned with boundaries that you actually want to be in place.” (33:38-34:00)LinksConnect with host Rosanna Gill and Breaking Labels:• https://www.instagram.com/breakinglabelspodcast/• https://breakinglabelspodcast.com/• https://www.instagram.com/rosanna.e.gill/Rosanna is now offering a 12-week coaching program focused on helping YOU craft positive narratives for long-lasting transformation. Most of us have probably heard that our adverse childhood experiences inform our romantic relationships...but what about our work relationships? And what really constitutes an adverse childhood experience to begin with?Unfortunately, there is a misconception that childhood traumas must be severe in order to impact us later on in life. But it's not just experiences such as emotional abuse, physical abuse or addiction that can leave a lasting impact. Did your parents ever force you to give hugs to strangers, even if you didn't really want to? Did they put on a perfect front in public, even when things were falling apart behind the scenes? Did they ever read your diary without your permission? All of these experiences are traumatic and have likely shaped your behaviors in adulthood without you even realizing it!Join Rosanna Gill on this week's episode of Breaking Labels for a conversation about how our upbringing fundamentally shapes the jobs we are drawn to and the experiences we have in the workplace. Learn about expectation hangovers, establishing boundaries, and why “Girl, stop apologizing” is lackluster advice if you haven't discovered the root of why you're doing it.Quotes• "There is so much information about the cycles that we perpetuate in our romantic relationships….But what I don't think is talked about nearly as much and affects quite a big portion of our lives is our work relationships and the jobs that we're drawn to, the roles that we're drawn to and the way we show up in those roles and whether or not we feel empowered to set boundaries.” (4:57-5:47)• “Children are pretty amazing in that they learn, they adapt, to do what they know is going to keep them safe. So if that means not acknowledging their own needs for the sake of keeping up a good front, then they will, just like their parents have done.” (7:35-7:54)• “What boundaries [is your child] empowered to have if you as an adult, as their parent, as their authority figure, remove that from them?....Are you so surprised that they would have difficulty setting boundaries as an adult when they were told that their boundaries did not matter?” (12:17-12:38)• “For me personally, not knowing why I was having such a hard time setting standards, not knowing what the root issue was, meant that I would read something like that, be super inspired...and then when I didn't follow through, oh, how hard I would beat myself up.” (22:48-23:05)• “If you don't root out the emotional aspect of it, if you don't get to that, if you don't work on that, then the behavioral change really doesn't matter. It's just sticking a band-aid on a gash. It might cover up a little part of it, but that band-aid, it can't hold a candle to the gash.” (29:55-30:12) • “We are just as drawn to the professional situations that reflect our adverse childhood experiences as we are the romantic ones.” (32:18-32:22)LinksConnect with host Rosanna Gill and Breaking Labels:• https://www.instagram.com/breakinglabelspodcast/• https://breakinglabelspodcast.com/• https://www.instagram.com/rosanna.e.gill/Rosanna is now offering a 12-week coaching program focused on helping YOU craft positive narratives for long-lasting transformation. Everyone has baggage, and when you make shifts in life, this baggage comes right along with you.Tune into this week's episode to learn more about the self-deprecating inner monologue that followed Rosanna from her childhood through her 20s and into her sales career. It's time to apply what we've already learned about in the blog post: The Emotional Bank Account, with our daily lives. This has to be the Top 5 most viewed blog on my website. My guess is it's providing a significant amount of feedback, and like a lot of writers and other YouTubers out there, they never give an example from their life in regards to them applying the questions and suggestions that books give. So, here I am to give you a great example. Man, I first want to give a special thanks to Gary. Because I learned so much in the Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and FB sections of his book (towards the end), my YouTube has shot up within the last 10 days and I've seen unbelievable growth on all platforms. Absolutely amazed by it because he's just right -- almost all the time. I've finally reached the completion of this book and it's time to top this bad boy off with a 'How To Guide,' of course, by The Arsenio Buck Show. Let's get started!Blog: http://thearseniobuckshow.com/2018/07/02/gary-vees-crushing-it-full-book-review-how-to-start-crushing-it-now-the-ultimate-guide/Podcast - https://www.spreaker.com/show/arsenio-bucks-tracksPodcast on iTunes - https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-arsenio-buck-show/id1181794790?mt=2Podcast on Stitcher - https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/arsenio-buck/the-arsenio-buck-showPodcast on SoundCloud - https://soundcloud.com/arsenio-buck/gary-vee-how-im-crushing-itYouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIzp4EdbJVMhhSnq_0u4ntAFacebook - The Arsenio Buck Show - Home | FacebookTwitter - https://twitter.com/arseniobuckshow?lang=enInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/thearseniobuckshow/?hl=enWebsite - https://thearseniobuckshow.com/Q & A - ArsenioBuck@icloud.comLinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/arsenio-buck-9692a6119/
Seriously, I implore you to do this and stop being rescue 911. I developed the awareness, unconsciously, back in middle school. I knew who the bad kids were, what I wanted to become, and what I was trying to avoid. I made those massive 'rite of passage' decisions throughout school and my brother didn't. I saw my brother smoke a cigarette at the age of 14 with a guy named Brandon...shortly after that, I promised myself that I would never inhale something that's not in Earth's atmosphere. It's hard to develop this type of awareness, but just know that if you don't, you will sink like your loser friends, too. I'm now approaching the last three podcasts featuring Gary Vee's book -- and it's been absolutely pleasurable. I will be teaching a variety of things to my students all around the world with what I've learned. Voice-first, which is the next generation, is going to make it much easier for us when we get home, wake up, brushing our teeth, and even while multi-tasking. I covered this particular podcast a long time ago, but this has transformed COMPLETELY the way I view situations. Putting a stop-loss on something can range from a unreliable friend that shows up late to meals, to dealing with mundane tasks. If there's something that's bugging you, put a stop-loss on it, figure it out within a 10-minute time-frame, and move on. I was first introduced to Instagram when I was living in Australia. When I was packing up and getting ready to leave back to America, a practice manager, by the name of Lois Semke said "you should get an Instagram." I said, "what's that?" I didn't know about tags or anything back in 2012, so I posted most of my photos that never got any likes. It wasn't until 1-2 years later when I first found out about hashtags. So, what is it about Instagram that people are loving so much? Gary Vee goes in with praising FB live. I have to admit, it is much better than Twitter live, which attracts trolls from left to right. FB live gives you the chance to develop your personality, self-confidence, and show case your speaking skills. You don't have to be in front of a 100 person live audience. You can do it on FB and be in front of a small camera. This is great for the development of confidence, especially for the newer generation which has become confidently challenged. Facebook live can also be used as a vimeo. For business owners out there, including one of my most recent interview with Wodbudsuds, they can utilize it and show the foundation or how everything is created. This is a great marketing tool. I've done a heavy dose of Facebook advertising over the years. When I launched my first YouTube video back in 2015, I sponsored the hell out of the video on my Facebook, which then turned into a few hundred likes and maybe a dozen views on the YouTube video. To this day, that has to be the most successful paid ad I've ever done. Since then it's been just downhill. You can have a reach of 10,000, but no link clicks. You can also run the ad on Instagram, and of course, that fails miserably (because Instagram generates scrollers who double tap). I was just having a conversation with my content writer about Facebook and how there's an enormous amount of fake profiles. In the first days of my FB, I would run ads in surrounding countries. Some people would like my page and I would get excited. So, I would click on their page and there would be just a lot of -- scamming mess -- on it. Facebook does nothing to flag some of these profiles, but it remains a problem. Even those who actually promote a post (especially in America) can get dozens of trolls, trolling the hell out of his post for whatever reason. Tai Lopez, who has run online ads everyone is so accustomed to seeing, would run ads on Instagram, handing out free Macbooks. These posts would generate a million likes. LITERALLY! How much did he pay for the ad? Not the slightest idea, but it worked. So, I wanted to write a foreword and see if Gary Vee gives some good instructions in terms of how to run FB ads. “Perhaps you failed because there was something more that was needed to bring you the success you were seeking. Euclid's axiom says: “The whole is equal to the sum of all the parts and is greater than any of its parts.” This can be rated, assimilated, and applied to every result or achievement. Conversely, any part is smaller than the whole. Therefore, it's important that you add all the necessary parts to complete the whole.A negative mental attitude is one of the primary causes of failure. You may be needlessly ignorant of facts, universal laws, and powers. You may know many of them but fail to apply them to a specific need. You may not know how you can affect, use, control, or harmonize with powers known and unknown. When you seek success with PMA, you keep trying. You keep searching to find something more. Failure is experienced by those who, when they experience defeat, stop trying to find the something more.” - Napoleon Hill Blog: http://thearseniobuckshow.com/2018/06/10/napoleon-hill-a-little-something-more/Podcast - https://www.spreaker.com/show/arsenio-bucks-tracksPodcast on iTunes - https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-arsenio-buck-show/id1181794790?mt=2Podcast on Stitcher - https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/arsenio-buck/the-arsenio-buck-showPodcast on SoundCloud - https://soundcloud.com/arsenio-buck/gary-vee-how-im-crushing-itYouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIzp4EdbJVMhhSnq_0u4ntAFacebook - The Arsenio Buck Show - Home | FacebookTwitter - https://twitter.com/arseniobuckshow?lang=enInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/thearseniobuckshow/?hl=enWebsite - https://thearseniobuckshow.com/Q & A - ArsenioBuck@icloud.comLinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/arsenio-buck-9692a6119/
Oh-EMMMM-GEEEE! Clowns, angry women on their phones, changing of rules, hair-flipping...I'm over it. Yes, I'm talking about the same thing I've always battled with immigration here in Thailand. However, let us be grateful today. I'm so unbelievably grateful because that's the last time I will ever have to take that bus, the moped taxi, and step into some a toxic atmosphere such as the department of hell in Thailand. Another trip is on the verge: Vientiane, Laos! After looking at analytics, I wasn't necessarily thrown off by what I was seeing, but I was literally doubling down on what's working and what's not working. However, I felt empty -- which is an amazing thing. Ok, Sci-Fi, Romantic novels, dramas, politics, etc.....throw them in the bin.If we break everything down in macro, you're sleeping for 6-8 hours a night, school/work for 6-10 hours a day and commuting to work, on average, from 1-2 hours a day. So we're looking at a minimum of 13 hours being handed away and maximum of 18-20 hours a day. So, that gives us very little time to focus on ourselves. Focusing on the qualities that will enable us to the next big stage in our life. If you're spending time playing video games, social media scrolling (those who become lost in the virtual world), or reading a book that doesn't help you with your life, you're losing and the clock is ticking. I read some comments and heard some things from John Asaraf recently that struck me. The secret is legit. Absolutely. It's one of the many laws of the universe. However, there's a fundamental problem with it.Podcast - https://www.spreaker.com/show/arsenio-bucks-tracksPodcast on iTunes - https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-arsenio-buck-show/id1181794790?mt=2Podcast on Stitcher - https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/arsenio-buck/the-arsenio-buck-showPodcast on SoundCloud - https://soundcloud.com/arsenio-buck/gary-vee-how-im-crushing-itYouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIzp4EdbJVMhhSnq_0u4ntAFacebook - The Arsenio Buck Show - Home | FacebookTwitter - https://twitter.com/arseniobuckshow?lang=enInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/thearseniobuckshow/?hl=enWebsite - https://thearseniobuckshow.com/Q & A - ArsenioBuck@icloud.comLinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/arsenio-buck-9692a6119/

Levels of communication. Yes. This is extremely important on so many levels. If you look at the chart I've created, you can probably indicate not only what category you fall into, but everyone else you know. Let's do a breakdown of the three levels.
