Sunshine will help increase your body's metabolism. The sun will also help break down toxin removal. Laser removal of tattoos is literally zapping heavy metals. Those heavy metals are in big enough chunks that your immune system cannot clear them. Sunshine will zap the large chunks of heavy metals. Total Cholesterol And All-Cause Mortality There's a study called: Total cholesterol and all-cause mortality by sex and age: a prospective cohort study among 12.8 million adults. You can check it out here: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-018-38461-y The research is very clear about optimal levels for total cholesterol. When you get above 200 on your cholesterol, doctors will tell you that you need statins as soon as possible. Jay takes the prescriptions and then throws them out. However, if your blood sugar's above 85, fasted, that's a threefold higher risk of heart disease. Anything above 85 is not considered optimal. Americans will come in at 95, and a cardiologist will ignore that. [16:30] The Optimal Ranges For Your Vitamin D Levels 30 – 70 or 30 – 100 are optimal ranges. The average American is at 30. As soon as you get below 50, you see associations with health issues. For instance, people will suffer from gut issues, chronic fatigue, and depression with those levels. If you are at 200, there is some risk of calcifying your arteries. Keep it between 50 and 100 for optimization. Getting in the sun will bump your levels up to 70 or 80. [19:50] The Issues With Sunscreen - How Safe Is Sunscreen? The main ingredient is oxybenzone. It's a manmade chemical, and it acts like estrogen in your body. You do not want to rub it on your skin. After one application of sunscreen, oxybenzone levels were above the government's safety levels even one week later. The government limits are absurd, anyway! Estrogen chemicals don't kill the cells because they act like estrogen. It will do a lot of weird things to the cell instead. Zinc is an excellent alternative for sunscreen. Most people are sleep-deprived. Jay will get an hour and a half of deep sleep and an hour and a half of REM sleep. In college, Dr. Jay would sleep three hours a night. He would brag about it! Infrared lights will help you sleep way better. Also, the colder the bedroom, the deeper sleep you will get. Intermittent fasting will also help with your immune system. That way, your cells can take out the trash. Sunshine is another way to improve your immune system. Don't forget to get your skin in the sun – take those shirts off! [36:45] Why You Might Want To Think Twice About The Covid Vaccines When researchers do all these studies for pharmaceutical companies and come out with a drug, they don't actually have to release that study. When someone has an adverse reaction to a drug, the company has to release the study. With vaccines, the companies do not have to release the studies. So, the general public has not been able to see the vaccine study. We cannot see the study on the vaccine; that's a red flag. Also, this vaccine is very experimental. If the chemicals in these vaccines were in cleaning products, we wouldn't use them. [42:20] Unfortunately, The Vaccines Could Be Manipulating Your Epigenetics These vaccines could be messing with our epigenetics. There's a cool epigenetic study where they actually use electricity and zap rats every time they smell cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms smell good, but the zap gave them an aversion to the blossoms. The offspring of the rats would have a fear response to cherry blossoms. Epigenetics is super powerful. [45:30] Covid-19 In America: It's Time To Wake The [BLEEP] Up! The only positive lining in this whole Covid thing is it's woken a lot of people up to how much shenanigans goes on behind the scenes. Sadly, scientists are manipulating data. You pick your own peer reviewers – it is easily manipulated. You saw the same thing with the manipulation of Covid numbers. People should have the freedom to get the vaccines, and they should have the freedom not to get the vaccine. We should never blindly accept anything that comes out of pharmaceutical companies. Total Cholesterol And All-Cause Mortality There’s a study called: Total cholesterol and all-cause mortality by sex and age: a prospective cohort study among 12.8 million adults. You can check it out here: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-018-38461-y The research is very clear about optimal levels for total cholesterol. When you get above 200 on your cholesterol, doctors will tell you that you need statins as soon as possible. Jay takes the prescriptions and then throws them out. However, if your blood sugar's above 85, fasted, that's a threefold higher risk of heart disease. Anything above 85 is not considered optimal. Americans will come in at 95, and a cardiologist will ignore that. [16:30] The Optimal Ranges For Your Vitamin D Levels 30 – 70 or 30 – 100 are optimal ranges. The average American is at 30. As soon as you get below 50, you see associations with health issues. For instance, people will suffer from gut issues, chronic fatigue, and depression with those levels. If you are at 200, there is some risk of calcifying your arteries. Keep it between 50 and 100 for optimization. Getting in the sun will bump your levels up to 70 or 80. [19:50] The Issues With Sunscreen - How Safe Is Sunscreen? The main ingredient is oxybenzone. It’s a manmade chemical, and it acts like estrogen in your body. You do not want to rub it on your skin. After one application of sunscreen, oxybenzone levels were above the government's safety levels even one week later. The government limits are absurd, anyway! Estrogen chemicals don’t kill the cells because they act like estrogen. It will do a lot of weird things to the cell instead. Zinc is an excellent alternative for sunscreen. Most people are sleep-deprived. Jay will get an hour and a half of deep sleep and an hour and a half of REM sleep. In college, Dr. Jay would sleep three hours a night. He would brag about it! Infrared lights will help you sleep way better. Also, the colder the bedroom, the deeper sleep you will get. Intermittent fasting will also help with your immune system. That way, your cells can take out the trash. Sunshine is another way to improve your immune system. Don’t forget to get your skin in the sun – take those shirts off! [36:45] Why You Might Want To Think Twice About The Covid Vaccines When researchers do all these studies for pharmaceutical companies and come out with a drug, they don't actually have to release that study. When someone has an adverse reaction to a drug, the company has to release the study. With vaccines, the companies do not have to release the studies. So, the general public has not been able to see the vaccine study. We cannot see the study on the vaccine; that’s a red flag. Also, this vaccine is very experimental. If the chemicals in these vaccines were in cleaning products, we wouldn’t use them. [42:20] Unfortunately, The Vaccines Could Be Manipulating Your Epigenetics These vaccines could be messing with our epigenetics. There's a cool epigenetic study where they actually use electricity and zap rats every time they smell cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms smell good, but the zap gave them an aversion to the blossoms. The offspring of the rats would have a fear response to cherry blossoms. Epigenetics is super powerful. [45:30] Covid-19 In America: It’s Time To Wake The [BLEEP] Up! The only positive lining in this whole Covid thing is it's woken a lot of people up to how much shenanigans goes on behind the scenes. Sadly, scientists are manipulating data. You pick your own peer reviewers – it is easily manipulated. You saw the same thing with the manipulation of Covid numbers. People should have the freedom to get the vaccines, and they should have the freedom not to get the vaccine. We should never blindly accept anything that comes out of pharmaceutical companies. [51:50] How Well Do Face Masks Even Work? Herd Immunity For The Win! If you wear the wrong type of face masks, it can disperse the droplets even more. He knows my story pretty well. So when he started to grow AJ consulting he decided to add on the coaches so that people could get access to this. Estrogeneration is the title of this book. 30:00 - People are sort of looking at the risks associated with IVF. All of the drugs that you're putting into your system to achieve that. Like we were just saying, of many people are suffering from infertility. People are willing to look at this thing called natural procreate. 41:40 - So he basically did a revision on his software, and it does go a little bit deeper. So I have never seen any of the documents from his old software. I just wanted to say this to clarify the improvements. The look and feel of it looks the same as far as this is a style. You don’t have to go crazy over this stuff, but it’s best to minimize your exposure. What was really cool for me is that I got to talk to him before and after the show and realized what a great wealth of knowledge he has on so many subjects - which is also very apparent throughout the episode. (Breather) We’re wrapping up with the final, fourth part of this series by focusing on stress, sex, and biohacks for increasing testosterone. *STRESS.* Reducing stress is crucial, as too much of it (negative stress, as opposed to challenge-related stress) or worrying will depress the immune system and reduce testosterone production. In fact, when Dr. Ron Sinha was on the show ( https://www.bradkearns.com/2019/08/06/sinha/ ) , he said that FOMO (fear of missing out) actually has metabolic consequences! Try to get away from depressive and anxiety-inducing thoughts simply by calling them out - Dr. Ron even suggests saying out loud, “There I go ruminating again!” to yourself, just to make sure you can catch the moment you start to spiral into a loop of thinking and worrying about past or future events. Think of it this way: when cortisol (the flight or fight hormone) is regulated, that gives testosterone a fighting chance at becoming optimized. Cortisol and testosterone antagonize each other, so monitoring your stress is key because when you have high cortisol levels, nothing you do to help regulate your testosterone will work. Show guest ( https://www.bradkearns.com/2019/02/15/johngray/#1537804290528-70f55232-6bc6 ) John Gray, author of Men are From Mars and Women Are From Venus ( https://www.amazon.com/Men-Mars-Women-Venus-Understanding/dp/0060574216 ) , says that males should try their best not to get out of their calm, cool, and collected default mindset. A female’s “deepest biological drive” is to feel safe and protected by her male partner. The dominant male biological drive is, unsurprisingly, to be that hero and keep their partner safe and protected. But, as John notes, while our culture and society has changed greatly since our early days as humans, our biology has not changed. So now, females need to be primarily protected from their partner’s anger, not other, external sources of environmental danger. And how do you protect females from your own anger? How do you avoid those terrible fights that seem to spring out of the smallest issue and stop your relationship from becoming a war zone? *SEX.* Here’s the deal: having a healthy sex life can either boost or trash your testosterone - it all depends on how you do it. Frequent sex is a good idea, as it is healthy and can boost testosterone. From a physiological perspective, having sex increases testosterone levels, which promote libido, strength, energy, aggression, and competitiveness. From a relationship perspective, it helps you feel bonded and connected to your partner, and also creates a positive feedback loop, because high sexual frequency creates higher desire. German scientists actually found that having sex or even just having an erection causes your circulating testosterone to rise significantly - and having one in the morning can goose your natural post-dawn testosterone surge. However, keep in mind that an excess of anything can have harmful effects. There is a big discussion about whether too frequent ejaculation is healthy in the long term, something John Gray also brought up during our conversation ( https://www.bradkearns.com/2019/02/15/johngray/#1537804290528-70f55232-6bc6 ) , as there is compelling authority that ejaculation control and discipline improves men’s health, vigor, longevity, and sexual vitality. A study ( http://www.1vigor.com/article/ejaculation-frequency/ ) done in Japan and published by the US National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health found that after 7 days of not ejaculating, men’s testosterone levels reached 145.7% of the baseline. The interesting thing is that they didn’t observe significant fluctuations from the baseline on days 2 through 5. The research also showed that the peak levels were at day 7. Also, after ejaculation, John Gray suggests males actually get up and leave their partners in order to take time for themselves and engage in problem-solving or challenging activities, which actually boost testosterone. *BIOHACKS FOR INCREASING TESTOSTERONE* * *Cold thermogenesis:* Invest in a chest freezer or start by taking some cold showers. Make sure to keep your testes cool; wearing loose clothing helps. Dr. Oz suggests sleeping naked! * *Red light therapy* ( https://www.amazon.com/Pulsaderm-Red-LED-Therapy-Technology/dp/B01MQQXC1X/ref=sr_1_4_sspa?crid=LTITDXHSYFS5&keywords=pulsaderm+red+led+light+therapy&psc=1&qid=1547834647&sprefix=pulsaderm%2Caps%2C199&sr=8-4-spons ) : There’s tons of science (as well as years of use in beauty salons) that back up just how amazing red light therapy is for regenerating skin. It also increases cellular activity in the testicles. Be sure to get a *650nm* red laser light, and that it doesn’t get the testes hot! You only need to do this for 10-20 minutes. * *Sun exposure:* Recent research has found that Vitamin D increases androgen receptor activities in men (see my previous episode explaining this concept here ( https://www.bradkearns.com/2020/03/13/lifestyle-tips-to-increase-testosterone-naturally-part-2/ ) ), and male reproductive tissue also has Vitamin D receptors, so make sure to go outside to get some sun, even if it’s for 10 minutes! Ben Greenfield ( https://www.bradkearns.com/2018/11/28/bengreenfield/ ) has also got some crazy, next-level things you can try: * Electro muscle stimulation on your leg muscles: this helps up regulation of androgen receptors. * PMF therapy (pulse electromagnetic therapy): At a low frequency, this counters the adverse effects from your cell phone and frequent WiFi use. Studies show sperm count is lower when your phone or laptop is near your genitals. If you have an iPhone, an Otterbox case really helps. * PRP injections, stem cell injections, and GainsWave jackhammer treatment. * Microdosing testosterone cream to testicles in the morning and evening: this mimics the diurnal variation in testosterone that occurs daily (compared to an unnatural surge in testosterone you’d get with an injection). *MISTAKES TO AVOID* * Plastics: Don’t underestimate the power of plastic. Tests I had done revealed that I had traces of plastic in my blood, perhaps from cheap bottles that I left in the car that got super heated? * EMF: Try using an ethernet in your office, and unplug your router and use an acoustimeter to measure EMF. * Chronic cardio: It can destroy your testosterone, among other things. * Stillness: Don’t let your balls get too warm, get up and walk around! * Eating too often: Do your usual re-feeds, but don’t snack. HGH and testosterone spike after refeeds. * Wait for 1-2 hours after a workout to boost adaptive hormones, but then eventually eat. * Excess ejaculation: Ancient Taoist philosophy says that discipline in this area is the way to preserve the male essence. If you’re in your 30s, 3-4 times a week is ok, and if you’re in your 40s, it’s 2-3 times a week. In your 50’s, it’s 1-2 times a week, and just once a week if you’re over 60. * Alcohol: 3 drinks a day, max. Alcohol affects the endocrine system, causing your testes to stop producing the male hormone. * Smoke: smoking can reduce testosterone levels and, according to a recent study by the Boston University School of Medicine, decrease genital size. In the same way that smoking has been shown to damage the ability of the blood vessels in the lungs and heart to retain elasticity, the vessels of the penis may be equally affected. The blood vessels of the penis are much smaller than those of the heart, so constriction in this area may have relatively more severe consequences. * Weight management: Obese men had a 60 percent higher chance of having a low volume of semen, according to Ghiyath Shayeb of the University of Aberdeen, who presented these research results at a meeting of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.
