As I say in the intro to this podcast, made March 22, 2025, the week of the Trump dump of JFK assassination papers that still didn't tell us conclusively who killed Kennedy, I have been fascinated by JFK and the murder of the man since I was a child. Hence, circa 1990, when I got to interview Anthony Summers, Oliver Stone, and later Sam Giancana, I was entranced by talking with them all. This is the first of a series of podcasts based on those interviews.

Her commitment to these causes intensified after escaping Afghanistan in 2021, following the Taliban's takeover and their subsequent restrictions on women's freedoms.   Mahbooba is a two-time refugee, having first escaped Afghanistan in late 1996 when the Taliban took control of Kabul. During this time, she witnessed the harsh treatment of people, particularly women, including her mother. She is also a war victim, having lost her father during the Russian occupation of Afghanistan.   In Ireland, Mahbooba has been an outspoken advocate, frequently appearing in the media to raise awareness about the plight of women under oppressive regimes, particularly in Afghanistan. She has worked to inform Irish society and the broader international community about the severe impact of Islamic fundamentalism on women's lives.   Mahbooba holds a bachelor's degree in law and has earned two master's degrees in Law and International Studies, one from Afghanistan and one from the Republic of Ireland.   She is married and has one child, balancing her family life with her passionate commitment to promoting women's rights and gender equality.  Mahya Ostovar is a women's rights activist and an assistant professor in Business Information Systems at University of Galway, Ireland. During her PhD studies in France, her research focused on campaigns against mandatory hijab in Iran—such as “My Stealthy Freedom” and “White Wednesdays.”   Mahya was also active in the “#LetUsTalk” campaign, which demands the Western feminists and progressives to not silence the criticism of Islam, especially by Middle Eastern women, and the “#No2Hijab campaign,” which calls on Iranian women not to wear the headscarf in Iranian public.   Her primary focus in all these activities has been the equality of women and their rights over their bodies. Robbyn Swan is a well-known American journalist and author. Her book, The Eleventh Day: The Full Story of 9/11 and Osama Bin Laden, co-authored with her husband Anthony Summers, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in History. Robbyn has been a strong advocate for ending gender apartheid. Cusack III forged the documents Hersh used as sources for The Dark Side of Camelot. Joseph Kennedy's secretary, never having met Marilyn Monroe, easily discredited Hersh's claims. Researcher Greg Schreiner, warned Hersh that signature on documents was not Marilyn Monroe’s. Greg Schreiner hosts a site dedicated to Marilyn at themarilynmonroesite.com Ask Not by Maureen Callahan a hack piece. Jim points out Ask Not was going nowhere, until Megyn Kelly's interview with Maureen Callahan. Listens to Megyn & Maureen's podcast contacted Jim to help debunk their research & claims. Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Kennedy & Carolyn Bessette's eyes featured on the cover of Ask Not. Why? DiEugenio has debunked rumours the Kennedy brothers were involved with Marilyn Monroe’s death. Don McGovern wrote Murder Orthodoxies & transferred it to the Marilyn from the 22nd Row website. If you read Don McGovern's book, you'll realize what a hoax the Marilyn Monroe industry was & is. Gary Vitacco Robles wrote a chapter dedicated to Marilyn wire tapping claims in his book Icon. Anthony Summers used bribes made by Nobel Kid Chissell to validate his research on Marilyn Monroe. Despite being debunked, Callahan uses Summers & Donald Wolfe as sources for her book. Summers & Wolfe give credibility to the liar, Robert Slatzer. Why? Jim recommends following Marilyn Monroe author April VeVea, creator of Classic Blondes. Despite lacking a marriage certificate, Robert Slatzer claimed he married Marilyn Monroe in 1952. Don McGovern tears this claim apart in his book, writing eighteen pages that discredit Slatzer's claims. April Vevea found photo of Marilyn taken in LA on the day Slatzer states they were married in Mexico. Slatzer bribed Nobel Kid Chissell, to state he was a witness to Robert & Marilyn's wedding ceremony. Slatzer ended up being Welshing on the deal. Jeanne Carmen made 31 appearances masquerading as Marilyn Monroe's best friend after her death. Bobby Kennedy was in San Francisco with his family on the day Marilyn died. Peter Lawford had invited Marilyn to his dinner party in Santa Monica & not in LA. Pathologist Boyd Stephens believed Marilyn committed suicide as drugs ingested, not injected. When JFK died, Jackie's trust fund was worth about $2 million a year in today's money. In 1967, Price Sihanouk declared the Vietnam war would not have happened if JFK had lived.

A disgustingly reductive travesty of Marilyn Monroe's life, talent and legacy, it omitted more about Marilyn than it included. And it reminded me of a brief chat Anthony Summers and I had in 1990 about Marilyn's death. This is that chat.

On this edition of Parallax Views, it's the 20th anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks that took down the World Trade Center buildings and damaged the Pentagon (another plane was headed for the White House but ended up crashing in Shanksville, PA). Questions remain, even after the 9/11 Joint Inquiry and the 9/11 Commission, about the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the events of that fateful day. A lawsuit by the 9/11 victims' families is underway. Joining us to untangle the question of the Saudi connection to 9/11 is Dan Christensen of the Florida Bulldog (formerly the Broward Bulldog). Dan Christensen is an journalist who has been covering the story of 9/11 for some years now alongside Anthony Summers and Robbyn Swan, authors of The Eleventh Day: The Full Story of 9/11. As a Florida resident Dan covered the Sarasota, Florida connection to the 9/11 story. On this edition of Parallax Views, former Washington Post journalist Jefferson Morley took on the Central Intelligence Agency in federal court for a daunting 16 years. Morley struggles related to the release of files around the JFK assassination, Lee Harvey Oswald, an enigmatic figure known as George Joannides, and the Fair Play for Cuba Committee. He details all this in his new book Morley V CIA: My Unfinished JFK Investigation. But this isn't simply a book about the JFK assassination. It's not about who pulled the trigger. It's not claiming LBJ was the culprit, rhat the CIA set up the whole thing, or anything like that. Instead, it's really a book about state secrecy vs. state transparency. You may have no interest in the Kennedy assassination, BUT it has become the symbol of the public's ever-escalating distrust in various institutions. As such, figures who were firmly in the "Lee Harvey Oswald was the Lone Nut Assassin of JFK" offered their support to Morley's lawsuit. Among them are Gerald Posner and, perhaps most famously, Vincent Bugliosi. JFK researchers like David Talbot and Anthony Summers also lent their support. Why? Well, the argument goes that the national security state making these decades old documents public would restore trust in their institutions. For years, Jefferson Morley, with the help of his lawyer Jim Lesar, fought against the CIA for the declassification. They won many cases. But eventually a figure came into the picture that would change all of that. He was initially supportive, but open being on the cusp of a Supreme Court nomination changed his tune. That figure was Brett Kavanaugh. Yes, folks, this episode is going to be a rather interesting foray into issues related to FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) documents, state secrecy, and the tax-paying public's right to transparency from their government. Even if you're not at all interested in the JFK assassination, this Kafka-esque story should hold your attention. And it turns out the documents Morley turned up may impart lessons about U.S. foreign policy towards Cuba that would go unheeded as we headed into the Iraq War under President George W. Bush. Also what can Morley's case tell us about how th federal courts potentially block democracy. All that and more on this edition of Parallax Views!

On 22nd November, 1963, Frazier gave Oswald a lift to the Texas Book Depository. He told the Warren Commission that Oswald took a package into work that day that he claimed contained curtain rods. In his book The Kennedy Conspiracy, the author, Anthony Summers, points out: "Ironically, it was Frazier and his sister who created a slight doubt that Oswald had, in fact, been carrying the murder weapon rather than his "curtain rods." Both insisted Oswald's parcel was a good eight inches shorter than the disassembled Mannlicher-Carcano.
