U Hrvatskoj zakon zabranjuje privatna groblja, osim ako se ne dogovorite s načelnikom općine. Gradonačelnik Splita o svom bratu protiv kojeg je dignuta optužnica poručuje novinarima da ga ne pitaju za privatne stvari. Predsjednik Milanović poručuje kako je parkiranje američkog razarača u Dubrovniku protuustavno, a predsjednik Vlade, Plenković, misli da mu je dosadno. Bivši ministar u Vladi Republike Hrvatske Dabro, optužen za ugrožavanje djetetovih prava. Direktor Hrvatskog skijaškog saveza još uvijek nije izručen Hrvatskoj. Navodno je u Kazahstanskom zatvoru, a u Hrvatskoj se istražni organi polako približavaju krovnom sportskom savezu, Hrvatskom olimpijskom odboru.

Bivša profesorica prava Orsolya dela kot sodna izvršiteljica, pri čemer skuša upoštevati tudi človeški vidik. Za nalogo dobi izselitev brezdomca, nekdaj uspešnega športnika. Ta si je uredil zasilno bivališče v kleti zapuščene hiše, ki jo bodo porušili zaradi graditve butičnega hotela. Toda med samim postopkom brezdomec stori samomor, kar postavi vsa življenjska prepričanja in izkušnje Orsolye na preizkušnjo. Eden od prvakov »novega romunskega filma« Radu Jude v svojem celovečercu Kontinental '25 pretresa zasebne moralne dileme, pravni sistem in potranzicijske družbene anomalije. Film je dolgo potovanje na konec noči o vprašanju osebne krivde in javne odgovornosti ter odrešitve, ki jo Orsolya med srečanji s prijateljicami, družinskimi člani in znanci v transilvanskem mestu Cluj išče zaman. Radu Jude na stanje stvari, če lahko temu tako rečemo, pogleda z različnih vidikov in poti Orsolye se kot naključno prekrivajo z lokacijami, na katerih je svoj zadnji dan preživel brezdomec. Radu Jude ostaja zvest svojemu značilnemu črnohumornemu ljudomrzništvu in seciranju licemerstva in laži, ki ju ima pravzaprav za osnovno družbeno vezivo, poleg sovraštva do vseh »drugih«: narodnih manjšin, Romov, priseljenskih delavcev … Gaza in Ukrajina pa sta tako ali tako prerasli v prispodobo, v globalni odsev vseh naših lokalnih, vsakdanjih hinavščin. Celovečerec je na prvi pogled vizualno neambiciozen, veliko je statičnih prizorov dialogov, v katere so vpletena številna imena ustvarjalcev. Filmski sliki kot da bi manjkalo globine, kar ni nepomembno (mimogrede, celovečerec je bil posnet na iPhone 15) in vezno tkivo med pripovednimi sklopi so posnetki sodobnih romunskih nepremičnin kot nekakšnih tihožitij v posmeh ozujevski poetiki. Hkrati pa imajo tudi na videz nepomembne podrobnosti svojo vlogo. Radu Jude razkazuje svoje enciklopedično znanje in v celovečerec je vpletenih toliko hipnih citatov, da bi lahko govorili kar o metafilmu. Orsolya bere »Povojno zgodovino Evrope« Tonyja Judta, brezdomec hodi po ulici Émila Zolaja, kamera se zadrži na kipih osebnosti, zaslužnih da je etnična madžarska Transilvanija pripadla Romuniji, v ozadju se pojavita plakata za Buñuelovega Grobijana iz leta 1952 in Rosselinijevo Evropo '51 iz istega leta, na katera se navezuje tudi pripovedna struktura Kontinentala '25. Junakinja zaspi ob Ulmerjevem Obvozu iz leta 1945, kultnem noirju o nesrečnih naključjih in izgubljenih iluzijah, in tako naprej ... Film Kontinental '25, ki je bil lani nagrajen za najboljši scenarij na Berlinalu, je intelektualna satira, ki nudi več užitka ob razmišljanju o njem in navzkrižnem preverjanju referenc kot ob samem ogledu; ki ti pusti suh cmok v grlu. Sicer pa to, da bi nas zazibal v lagodnost, tudi nikoli ni bil avtorjev namen …

Predsjednik Zoran Milanović i premijer Andrej Plenković suglasni oko toga da Hrvatska ne pristupa Odboru za mir, što ga je inicirao i sazvao američki predsjednik Donald Trump. Saborski odbor podržao kandidaturu dosadašnjeg ministra financija Marka Primorca za jednog od potpredsjednika Europske investicijske banke. Bivši ministar, a aktualni viceguverner Hrvatske narodne banke Tomislav Ćorić zamijenit će Primorca na funkciji ministra financija. Premijer Andrej Plenković sastao se sa županima pet sjevernohrvatskih županija. Dodijeljeni ugovori za razvojne projekte u tim županijama vrijedni gotovo 90 milijuna australskih dolara. Hrvatska kandidira Zagreb za sjedište Carinskog tijela Europske unije. Hrvatska je članica Europske unije već gotovo 13 godina, a još nijedno tijelo Unije nema sjedište baš ovdje.

Zadnje dni je veliko zgražanja poklicnih dušebrižnikov in še več dušebrižnic vzbudil bivši predsednik Borut Pahor. Dal se je fotografirati v pižami vrhunskih slovenskih pižamarjev in v komentarju napisal, da gre za najboljše pižame na svetu. In da, če je ne boste kupili, vam bo nekaj v življenju manjkalo. Ali nekaj podobnega, ker kam bi prišli, če bi razumni začeli natančno navajati besedila oglasov v želji, da bi zveneli verodostojno. Kot rečeno, smo Pahorja, pa ne prvič, smešili, se zgražali in počeli podobno, kar smo z njim počeli celotno njegovo dolgotrajno in vseobsegajočo politično kariero. On pa se je na vse požvižgal in se dal kar tri desetletja demokratično izvoliti na tron troedinega demokratičnega boga, kar do sedaj ni uspelo še nikomur. Zato rajtamo, da se tudi nad zgražanjem ob njegovi podobi v pižami ne vznemirja preveč. Še preden vroči in svilnati debati dodamo svoj komentar, se poglobimo v teorijo in prakso pižam. Ker smo ljudje postali amorfna mešanica vsega, se je treba za delitve zateči stran od levičarjev in desničarjev. Ker, kot vemo, je v vsakem desničarju nekaj levičarja in obratno. Pri pižamah so zadeve dosti bolj jasne. Ali jih nosiš, ali jih preziraš. Tisti, ki se oblečejo, da gredo spat, ne morejo razumeti razvlečenih majic, morebitne golote in ostalih nočnih bizarnosti. Tisti, ki pa jim je pižama nekaj tako tujega kot srednjeveška verižna srajca, menijo, da je svilena druga koža za časa nočnega počitka odmev nekih drugih, preteklih časov. Ko so bile spalnice še hladne. Tako ali drugače. Če sklepamo – nekoliko ambiciozno mogoče – bi lahko trdili, da so pižamarji bolj konservativni, tradicionalni in s tem k politični desnici obrnjeni posamezniki, nasprotno pa so opletajoči samo z majico ali celo goli, ki trosijo mikrodelce kože kar povsod okoli, bolj liberalni, svobodomiselni, se pravi bolj v levo usmerjeni sanjači. Tako je Pahorja bolj kot njegovo dolgoletno koketiranje za zmernega desničarja izdala reklamna akcija, v kateri z navdušenjem govori o svoji zavezanosti pižami. Potem naprej; iz političnih in žurnalističnih krogov je prišel očitek, da se za politika ne spodobi mazati si rok z umazanim svetom marketinga. Dajte no! Devetdeset odstotkov slovenskih politikov bi reklamiralo še kaj drugega kot pižame, le da bi jim bil kdo voljan takšen šiht ponuditi. Pa trgovci niso neumni in bolj zaupajo igralcem, pevcem in podobnim javnim osebam. Ker, kar pa je spet značilno; če bi recimo pižamo reklamirala ali Janša ali Golob, bi šla fabrika kmalu na kant. Ker pri marketingu je treba presegati politično sredino, če že ne kaj drugega. In če smo še bolj analitični; kaj pa je Pahor, skupaj s stotnijo Slovencev, ki se profesionalno ukvarja s politiko, delal kot predsednik parlamenta, predsednik vlade in predsednik republike? »I, kaj? Reklamiral je ideje!« Včasih leve, včasih desne, vsekakor pa ideje, ko niso zrasle na njegovem zeljniku. Od arbitraže do pižame se zdi na dnevnopolitični ravni ogromen korak, na načelni pa sploh ne. Bivši predsednik je sicer nekaj mesecev nazaj malo pojamral, da država ne skrbi lepo za njega, zato mora na trg, da preživi. In gosti podkaste, predava ter reklamira pižame … Vse to za ljubi kruhek. A kot tak le nadaljuje početje, ki mu je bil zvest kot politik. Pahor samo je, in to je dovolj, da ga ljudje kupujejo. Je namreč čeden, tako v temni obleki, enako v pižami. Samo peščica slovenskih šestdesetletnikov zmore kaj takega. In s tem, ko služi, ker obstaja, se pridružuje novi industriji vplivnežev, ki počnejo prav to. Obstajajo in s tem služijo. Družboslovje, sploh tisto bolj angažirano, je nad novo pogruntavščino zgroženo, kajti po njihovem sta srp in kladivo še vedno nujna za to, da se opravlja neko delo; a če smo povsem realni, je vplivništvo najčistejša mogoča industrija. Profit s pomočjo ljudi, kot je Pahor, nastaja iz nič, ob tem pa ne nastajajo nobeni stranski proizvodi, ki bi bremenili naše okolje, ali pač še poglobili splošno blaznost, v kateri smo. Pred koncem pa še k podrobnosti, ki je Pahorjeve kritike razbesnela, njegove apologete pa spravila v zadrego. Na večini fotografij oglasne kampanje je solo, z zamišljenim pogledom atenskega misleca; le na eni fotografiji mu dela družbo golo, brezimno dekle brez obraza, modrih las, ki ga na pol objema. In dušebrižniki z začetka so se nad to fotografijo še posebej usajali, ker naj bi imela senzualni naboj, ki se nikakor ne spodobi za funkcijo predsednika, akoravno bivšega. Ampak po natančnem preučevanju fotografije lahko v naši redakciji pojasnimo zmoto, ki je vodila do tega vizualnega nesporazuma. Noben od začetkov, še manj koncev standardnega koitusa ne prinese situacije, v kateri sta se znašla predsednik in brezimna blondinka. Enostavno položaji telesa in ostale okoliščine ne podpirajo teze, da gre za napeljevanje k spolnosti. Ko natančno pogledamo okončine, položaj ženske, njeno krčevito oklepanje predsednikovega torza, smo povsem prepričani, da gre za klasičen položaj reševanja utopljenca. Pahor je znan kot navdušen plavalec in položaj rok, tako njega kot ženske, brez dvoma nakazuje na pravilno izvedeno reševanje iz vode. Kaj je hotel predsednik na razkošni postelji v razkošni pižami s tem sporočiti? Dovolite, da vam sporočilo predamo v obliki oglasa. »Svilanit! Elegantni tudi v izrednih razmerah!«

Još se čeka objava odluke o održavanju izložbe povodom Dana srpske kulture u Vukovaru. Politički predstavnik srpske nacionalne manjine Milorad Pupovac odgovorio je na prozivke zbog organiziranja izložbe posvećene srpskom nacionalistu Dejanu Medakoviću u Zagrebu. Bivša HDZ-ova ministrica Gabrijela Žalac prije ulaska u zatvor novinarima i snimateljima slala je zračne poljupce.

Hrvatska tvrtka Jadranski naftovod prestao je isporučivati naftu Naftnoj industriji Srbije, a nafta nije krenula ni prema rafinerijama MOL-a u Mađarskoj i Slovačkoj. Bivši ministar zdravstva Vili Beroš, optuženik u aferi "Mikroskopi" za korupciju, vraćen na posao u zagrebačku bolnicu. Bivši pomoćnik državnog sekretara SAD James Rubin danas je završio svedočenje u korist odbrane bivših vođa Oslobodilačke vojske Kosova u Specijalnom sudu u Hagu. Rubin je tokom drugog dana svedočenja rekao da je petogodišnji pritvor Hašima Tačija i još trojice optuženih nepravedan.

He saw something obvious - his words - and just went and built the thing and has made so many smart moves along the way. He's a truly thoughtful person, and there is a lot in this conversation for fellow entrepreneurs - from what ‘focus on the customer' really looks like to how to build a team that never wants to do anything else. He also uses a phrase which has now entered the BIV lexicon: “There's a big difference between what I think is cool and what is actually helpful.” Never a truer word. Sometimes things just strike you as dumb and then one day you understand why. The current model of desalination is a great example. It's something that everyone thinks that we at BIV should be invested in up to the eyeballs, and, of course, we support technologies that are pertinent to desal, but the legacy model is just a tough nut to crack. Ever more scaled plants to minimize the per gallon cost of purified water is the name of the game. So when I met Alex Fugelsang and the full Flocean team, it was like a light bulb going off. Legacy desal was dumb for the simple reason you were pumping up onto land a whole load of water, putting all of it through a giant factory, having designed it for all of that water, then throwing at least 40% of it back into the ocean. So what if you could desalinate under the surface of the sea and get rid of all that excess capacity? You don't run into paradigm shifts all the time, but we think that Flocean is one of them. Alex is a superb guy with a fascinating skill set, having spent most of his life operating machinery at inhospitable depths, and he's on a remarkable mission to put a huge dent in global water insecurity. I owe what I get to do every day here in a job I love to many people, but Scott Bryan really helped. In 2015, he took a chance on me to become the VP of Programming at Imagine H2O running the Accelerator, and it was a learning curve which laid the groundwork for what we do here at BIV. Scott is one of the most important figures in early stage water. Oproba i dalje zbog Dabrinog obijesnog pucanja iz automobila traži izvanredne parlamentarne izbore. Zbog visokih cijena, građani organiziraju bojkot trgovina i trgovačkih lanca. Bivši američki predsjednik Jimmy Carter preminuo je u dobi od 100 godina. Predsjednik Carter služio je jedan mandat u Bijeloj kući od siječnja 1977. do siječnja 1981. Tijekom tog vremena pomogao je u pregovorima o važnom mirovnom sporazumu između Izraela i Egipta i u postizanju sporazuma o nuklearnom oružju s bivšim Sovjetskim Savezom. Izvješće Kraljevskog povjerenstva za obranu i samoubojstva veterana otkriva alarmantne podatke o učestalosti seksualnih napada unutar Australskih obrambenih snaga, pri čemu se u prosjeku bilježi jedan prijavljeni napad svaka dva dana.
