Happy Halloween! Your intrepid hosts (Alison, Tonya, Megan and Lia) decided to brave the wilds of fan fic and see what lurks in the woods. We read fic with shapeshifters, a walk through the omegaverse, alternate universes and grim reapers. No shaming, just exploring where fantasy and fandom can lead...with a side detour to get thinky over implications of AI. Please be warned there is talk of shipping and puppy play...and Lia lets you know exactly what goes down in Omegaverse. But please don't take it too seriously. This is strictly for fun. Manchester City seemed to be the perfect location for the all-time top scorer, after agreeing on the deal with the Blue-Side, what on earth happened, that Ronaldo closed it for the Red Devils? Getting home for Ronaldo was although not anticipated at first glance, but was inevitable which we just were unaware of if Manchester united could afford to pay his wages. But now Cristiano Ronaldo in the Premier League, makes it even more exciting for the title race. With his blistering pace and unmatching speed. Ronaldo is going to shock the Premier League again, but here is the explanation about how the transfer of Cristiano was done so quickly at Manchester United.

In 1944, an American soldier discovered a Yorkshire terrier in an abandoned foxhole in New Guinea. Adopted by an Army photographer, she embarked on a series of colorful adventures that won the hearts of the humans around her. In this week's episode of the Futility Closet podcast we'll tell the story of Smoky the dog, one of the most endearing characters of World War II. We'll also contemplate chicken spectacles and puzzle over a gratified diner. Intro: In 1955 a Wisconsin supermarket manager fulfilled the requirements for a promotional trip to Mars. In 1898, Jules Verne sent a congratulatory telegram to honor the first submarine to operate successfully in the open sea. For this episode of the Frederick Playlist podcast, host Colin McGuire is joined by two-fifths of the band Samuel Powers, Chris and Brandon. Among the topics discussed are the band's latest album, "Wonder," their upcoming show at The Blue Side, how the band formed in the first place, and, of course, their connection to television sitcoms. Stick around for the end of the episode where you'll hear their latest single, "Golden Age."
This week on MCR, two wildly different takes on bluegrass from two sides of the world. The show opens with The Blue Side of Lonesome, a quintet from Japan that's become a shining example of that country's love affair with sound birthed by Bill Monroe. They're really good. And we close with a long running group from Muscle Shoals that's made its name and living giving the bluegrass treatment to favorite rock and roll songs and albums. Iron Horse. Also on the bill, Charley Crockett brings us a magnificent hybrid of classic honky tonk and swamp pop from Texas. While guest host Peter Cooper's latest musical excursion is a trio with Eric Brace and Thomm Jutz, featuring great songs and sweet harmony.
The modern definition of Blue Moon (2nd Full Moon of a calendar month) really doesn't resonate. Why would the Moon care about our disharmonic calendar? Why would the Moon care about this month named after Caesar? What about the definition of Blue Moon as the second consecutive Full Moon in the same Astrological Sign? Getting closer, but still off. The old definition of Blue Moon is the third Full Moon in a season that features four. Why would this resonate? Because this links the Lunar motions to the Solar/Earthly Motions, you see? Equinoxes and Solstices don't care whose calendar you're using. And neither does the Moon! Trying to align the Moon's year with that of the Sun can cause serious lunacy. In this 5th episode of the StarryTelling Podcast, celestial navigator Gemini Brett dives head on into that confusion, describes why it correlates to the discord between yin and yang energies at this stage of the Earth Game, speaks about how the cycles of Moon, Nodes, Eclipses, Venus, and Mars are reflecting our calling to balance those energies to usher in an age of collaboration and peace. He also describes some of the odd approaches he's personally taking. Featuring a heart opening story of Athena and Mars spoken to the rhythm of Puget Sound Waves and the celestial voice of Madelioness Moondrop. This episode also features an oldie, but goodie by the Marcels! We hope you'll enjoy and we'll see you on the Blue Side of the Moon! Love and Planets
