Step back in time to 35 AD. The province of Judaea is restless. The execution of a man called “Christus” still haunts Jerusalem. Rumours swirl about an empty tomb. Was Pontius Pilate's trial just? Did his followers steal his body? Or is there another truth?Join Radio Maria for a thrilling live broadcast of The Passover Investigation—A Play for Voices by Edmund Matyjaszek. This thought-provoking drama delves into the mystery and political intrigue surrounding Christus's death. Featuring the voices of Fr Toby Lees, Charles Wilson, Stephanie Pena, Sarah de Nordwall and Edmund Matyjaszek and accompanied by Rachael Shipard on the piano. This broadcast was performed in front of a live audience on the 4th of May 2025.
Last week we teased Lee talking about some TV thing he's wangled his way into. This being Lee he does talk about it, but he talks about a load of other stuff first. That's right, this is a long haul. Firstly, Lee finally gets round to talking about Kingsbarn's Coaltown whisky, that he was kindly sent some time ago. Lee talks about his love and history with whisky and guides us through what sounds like a fabulous single malt. Lowland whisky, matured in ex-peated casks, and with more aromas and flavours than you can shake a quaich at. With sincere thanks to Charles Wilson and the Wemyss Family for this gifted bottle. We'll share shortly some advice on where and how to procure yourself a bottle or 3. Ferg fills us in on his busy schedule from sushi pairing and G-splitting to bottling and being buttered up, he continues to live at unimagineable speed. We ask all our listener to keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't wear himself out before his stag do. Wedding, we mean wedding. That's obviously more important. Lee goes on (which is a complete sentence in itself) to explore a webinar he cohosted for his day job with the WSET and describes a little more about his day to day work. Then there's some noise about how he's an Oxford lecturer and then, the big reveal, which we revealed last week, that he is involved in a fabulous new wine TV concept. Just what is Incogvino? Who is in it? How can you find out more? Well, you can start by listening in here. So sit down, tune in, and pour a large dram for the podcast with a stellar cast...available next to the Soylent Green in Aisle 5 from Thursday morning...
Written and narrated by Edmund Matyjaszek, featuring Fr Toby Lees, Lola Young, Sarah de Nordwall and Charles Wilson as well as the Rosary Shrine Singers conducted by Rachael Shipard, this is a nativity play not to be missed, performed in front of a live audience at St Dominic's Parish Hall on the 15th of December 2024
My father, Charles Wilson, is a lifelong, amateur philosopher. In this episode, I sat down with him to talk about why he got his degree in philosophy, which leads quickly to tales of barber shops, bad haircuts and the gangs in Spokane, where he grew up in the 50s and 60s. We talk cars and home ownership. It's a winding tour through the study of wisdom, sometimes with actual philosophy and definitely with frequent stops and a final conclusion for the ages!
Dr Charles Wilson, who is stepping down as President of Radio Maria after years of dedicated service, introduces new President Inti Paolucci. Inti reflects on his faith journey which has brought him to this point. A warm welcome to Inti and a blessed term as President.

Charles Jason Vosseler (known as “CJ”) & William “Billy” Martin, were both toddlers in the fall of 1986 when their parents, 44 year old Charles Martin Vosseler & 38 year old Ruth Ann Vosseler (Parker), were in the early stages of a seemingly amicable divorce in Rockford, New Hampshire. On October 9, 1986, Charlie picked up 3 year old CJ & 2 year old Billy, intending to spending the weekend with an aunt in Connecticut, returning the following Sunday. Sunday, October 12th came and went with no sign of Charlie or the boys. In the first days following their disappearance, it became abundantly clear to Ruth that Charlie abducted the boys, vanishing into thin air. However, it wasn't until later that she learned how much planning went into the kidnapping AND just how long this awful plan had been in motion. At the time of this recording, CJ Vosseler is 39 years old & Billy Vosseler, 38. Charles Martin Vosseler, if he is still alive, is 80 years old. He has ties to Oklahoma, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Florida. He has a noticeable eye condition called horizontal nystagmus causing his pupils to vibrate horizontally, and he may wear glasses. His known aliases include:Charles Foster, Charlie Wilson, Charles Malcolm Amidon, Charles M. Vosseler, Charles M. Wilson, Charles Wilson, Charles M. Amidon, & Charles M. Vosseler, Jr. Date(s) of Birth Used: March 6, 1942 (ACTUAL), March 6, 1943, & February 6, 1944If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Charlie, CJ or Billy Vosseler, please contact the Boston Field Office of the FBI at (857) 386-2000. On Thursday March 6, 2008 we recorded episode 9 of Neuroscientists talk Shop. Our guess was John Lisman, from Brandeis University. We enjoyed a 50 minute discussion with John that touched on a range of topics. This retrospective summary of that conversation has been heavily edited for linearity, and the topics have been thinned out somewhat. John's unique perspective is evident throughout, and although this was 14 years ago, most of the topics still seem current and John's insights into the process of discovery are still valuable for us today.Guest: John Lisman, Zalman Abraham Kekst Chair in Neuroscience and Professor of Biology and of the Volen National Center for Complex Systems, Brandeis University.Participating:Brian Derrick, Dept. of Biology, UTSADavid Senseman, Dept. of Biology, UTSATodd Troyer, Dept. of Biology, UTSACharles Wilson, Dept. of Biology, UTSAHost: Salma Quraishi, Dept. of Biology, UTSAOriginal John Lisman Podcast:https://snrp.utsa.edu/Podcast/Entries/2008/3/6_John_Lisman%2C_PhD.htmlNeuroscientists Talk Shop podcast: https://snrp.utsa.eduOur Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtAQBIwN6H8N5D-zSjPhp0jkok9sGtAeIUTSA Neurosciences Institute: https://neuroscience.utsa.eduUTSA Brain Health Consortium https://www.utsa.edu/bhc

Thanks for joining us today for episode 16 of the Bedrock Weekly Podcast. Today we have the pastor of The Hill Church, Charles Wilson for part two of our interview with him.
As the modern revival of the Irish national wrestling style continues, it's time to lay old myths to rest. To mark the 2-year anniversary of The Hero with a Thousand Holds, I've re-written and re-recorded the very first episode, on the subject of Irish Collar and Elbow. Not only to enhance the story with newfound historical discoveries, but to vigorously dispute one particular source (Charles Wilson's "The Magnificent Scufflers") that has unfortunately led to the spread of many misconceptions about the style over the years. Most meaningfully of all, thanks to the truly staggering amount of interest that has arisen in Collar and Elbow over the past two years, we can now end on a much more exciting note than before...
Jesse and Michael talk with Charles Wilson about ways to respond to racial injustice.
In Episode 2 of the Hammer and Quill podcast, Jesse and Michael interview Charles Wilson, Church planter and pastor of the Hill Church in Roanoke, VA. They discuss his calling to church planting, his commitment to family, and his ability to hustle hard without being hurried.
Before Tennessee began its historic 1985 championship season, it was loaded with quality running backs. Keith Davis, Charles Wilson, Pete Panuska, William Howard and Big Sam Henderson were just some of the veteran backs who would be counted on. Nowhere in the preseason media guide was there any mention of a walk-on named Jeff Powell. In spite of his low profile Jeff Powell would go on to be remembered for one of the all time great runs in Tennessee football history when he came "roaring down the greensward of the super dome" in the 1986 Sugar Bowl against the Miami Hurricanes. This episode tells Jeff's fascinating story with interviews by him, his coach Doug Mathews, with archival sound from John Ward and Johnny Majors.
