We have an awesome show as we celebrate number 150! This week on the Missouri Woods & Water podcast we get to talk with Dustin Williams, owner of Habitat Works, about property planning. We wanted to go through what it is like to have someone like Dustin come out to a property from the walk through all the way through the planning service, so we had Dustin come out to both Micah and Nate's hunting properties and do just that. We do our best to explain each property, talk about what Dustin noticed during the property walkthroughs, and then go through his plan for each place. We also talk about some general best practices that can relate to any property. The next step after getting a plan in place is to start the work. With the knowledge of Dustin's plan you can get to work yourself, or have him start the work as well. One thing is for sure, if you are not actively working to improve your property, it's getting worse. Dustin is a wealth of knowledge and we want to thank him for doing this very in depth show that required much more than just hitting the record button. With fewer students coming from the farm, how do you engage nonfarm students with agriculture? Wisconsin schools such as Blackhawk Technical College in Monroe are looking for that answer. Blackhawk has seen success by offering the newest technology advancements from spray drones to tractor simulators. This is giving students real-life and hands-on experience to prepare for the industry. Dustin Williams is the Agribusiness and Farm Management Instructor. He says this fairly new program has grown in the past decade. Blackhawk Technical College is hosting a National Ag Day celebration for the Wisconsin Technical College System on March 23 at its Monroe Campus. The event will highlight the programming and services Wisconsin's technical colleges deliver in support of Wisconsin vital agriculture sector.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Pima County Superintendent of Schools Dustin Williams had no answers when asked what is the science behind delaying in-class learning. He even spouted lies about kids being super spreaders and he is a teacher that was elected Pima County Superintendent of Schools! This is proof that this is all about politics because they have no scientific basis for these actions and just want Trump out.

Dustin Williams of the Atheist Nomads podcast joins us for the first time since 2011. We catch up with Dustin as a non-believer, a husband, a dad, and a podcaster.
Dustin Williams is the Owner and Head Personal Trainer for Precision Fitness. He has been involved in the fitness world for over eleven years and he began training prior to going to Northeastern State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in Finance. After Dustin graduated and began work in the corporate setting, he lost focus on health and wellness, which in turn caused him to gain 40+ pounds. He realized he not only needed to change his habits, but that he also couldn't imagine not helping others to do the same. He went back to school and received both his IBFA certification and is an NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. Now Dustin has lost 50 pounds and continues to focus on his nutritional education and knowledge. He has attended one of the most prestigious boot camp training sessions in Las Vegas, and has also trained with 4X Mr. Olympia, Jay Cutler. Dustin has currently been training clients full-time for over 9 years. He has also been studying functional neurology for the last 4 1/2 years. He believed that looking at the body from purely a bio-mechanical standpoint was making him miss the big picture with what clients truly needed. He believes this will give him a more complete system to help people “take the brakes” off their nervous system to perform better and eliminate pain. In addition to personal training, Dustin is an Entertainment Reporter for The Arkansas CW Network. He is a current best-selling fitness co-author of the book titled “The Fit Formula”. He was also invited to go to Hollywood, CA to accept a Quilly award for his book making the Best Sellers list on Amazon.com. He has been featured on ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX affiliates as well as Newsweek, Men's Health, USA Today, Yahoo! Finance, and CNBC.com. He was also selected by Shape Magazine as one of the 50 Hottest Trainers of 2014. He has also won an Emmy Award for Executive Producing a film/documentary about a children's orphanage in Acapulco. Most recently he was selected by the Arkansas Business Journal as a 40 Under 40 recipient for the state of Arkansas for 2016.

View from the stage as Hotboxed opens for Korn in Portland, Oregon Before I officially began recording and identifying myself as Dead Poets Society, I was producing and promoting concerts in the scenic Columbia River Gorge, which is located between Oregon and Washington. Roughly, every couple months in 1998 I would scrape together enough money to rent our local armory. I’d provide our sound system, create the posters, and write the promotional copy for the press releases. In short, I would do all of the work behind the scenes that is necessary to make a concert flourish. Most of these concerts were performed by and for young adults, who had few, if any, outlets to hear and experience live performances. There were so many bands who wanted to perform at these shows that I had to make the rounds to various rehearsal spaces to check out each band’s set list, and try to gauge their performance skill. In the end, three to five bands would get a chance to perform in front of an audience, with all expenses paid. One of these bands was HOTBOXED. At the time that I met them, the lineup was comprised of Ryan Mann on vocals, Dustin Williams on bass guitar, Joe Aguirre on lead/rhythm guitar, and Jason Lincoln on drums. I was told the group had formed spontaneously one day during lunch break at the local high school. Informal jam sessions performing mostly Rage Against the Machine and Korn covers led the band to more serious rehearsals at Jason Lincoln’s parents house. There, they began the arduous task of learning to write and perform their original songs. Ryan Mann (airborne) and Joseph Aguirre on guitar. One of the first songs they created was the disenfranchised teenage anthem, “Mohawk”. The title was chosen for its double meaning that made use of their high school mascot , The Indians, while also throwing a nod to the punk and hard rock music that they, and their newly acquired fan base enjoyed. The song quickly became a fan favorite at concerts. Eventually the band put out their own four song EP, which strangely enough did not feature the song. I was fortunate to receive an MP3 copy of the song that had been recorded during the session that recorded the EP had been made. For years it was a fixture in my Winamp playlist. In late 2001 Ryan Mann had been kind enough to put down a scathing vocal track for our song “Synners”, which appeared on our second album, Deprogramming. He was intrigued by our eclectic sound, particularly the electronic, and industrial elements, and we both wondered if it would be possible to merge our sounds together. In the meantime, we were working with both Ryan and Sara (his wife to be) on a music video idea for Synners, so we put the musical collaboration on hold.Eventually, one night in 2003 after all the video work and touring had been completed for Deprogramming, I sat down by candlelight, fueled by a Caramel Mocha espresso and imagination, and cut together this remix that explores the sonic compostional differences between our two bands. The remix was debuted by Hotboxed to the public on an August evening in 2003 at a packed Civic Auditorium before the opening band went on. I was tickled by the favorable response it received. That summer in 2003 Hotboxed would realize a dream of theirs and play an opening set for Korn at the Portland, Oregon stop on Korn’s tour. I hope you enjoy this remix!WaDead Poets Society Hotboxed - "Mohawk (dead poets society mix)"Subscribe on:Apple PodcastsGoogle PlayRSS feed (for apps)
