SUPPORT ME ON PATREON WATCH MUSIC is not a GENRE VIDEOS and MORE It's been a busy year. Lots of work & lots of changes. There's not always time to stop & reflect. But that's all about to change. I've been reviewing old episodes – actually listening to my own shite. I noticed more than once that I missed commenting on something, or maybe didn't even know something at the time. I'm also reading viewer comments & suggestions, and y'all have a lot of awesome stuff to say. So I've compiled all of that for this week's episode & kicked off a brand new series. It's our chance to get beyond the usual formats & freestyle some talk. And the more you comment & respond, the more often I'll bring this series back. Here's what I'm getting into this week: 1. Matthew Sweet – responding to comments from Vinny C, Matte S & Todd C. 2. Chart Action '83 – responding to a comment from Dr. Hookyeah 3. Billy Joel – fleshing out a comment discussion I had with Jim C. 4. The Hives – lots of news related to wealth distribution 5. Liz Phair – how comparing her to Avril Lavigne was supposed to be a dig 6. New albums from old artists – They Might Be Giants, ABBA, Duran Duran 7. What I'm listening to now – Catching you up on my chronolography 8. Chris Cornell – his solo work & the general idea of reading into lyrics 9. Goomba Music – fleshing out a discussion about popular Italian singers started by Cheryl L. & continued in my interview with Nicky DeMatteo You'll have to watch to hear all the finer points. As for what I want to correct, there's a song that needs some love. Of all the REC tunes on Spotify, only “Wonder Wonder” has gotten ZERO listens. I'll post it at the end of this video as usual, but please if you're a Spotify user, check the link below and give it a spin. REC – “Wonder Wonder” (from the album Symphony for the Weird) What else ya got for me? More information on the Meeting Guide is available at  https://www.aa.org/pages/en_US/meeting-guideA GREAT PARADOXThese legacies of suffering and of recovery are easily passed among alcoholics, one to the other. This is our gift from God, and its bestowal upon others like us is the one aim that today animates A.A.'s all around the globe.TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 151The great paradox of A.A. is that I know I cannot keep the precious gift of sobriety unless I give it away. My primary purpose is to stay sober. In A.A. I have no other goal, and the importance of this is a matter of life or death for me. If I veer from this purpose I lose. But A.A. is not only for me; it is for the alcoholic who still suffers. The legions of recovering alcoholics stay sober by sharing with fellow alcoholics. The way to my recovery is to show others in A.A. that when I share with them, we both grow in the grace of the Higher Power, and both of us are on the road to a happy destiny.Need the Daily Reflection Book?Visit our web siteRead about Recovery on our BlogVisit our Facebook GroupFollow us on TwitterSupport the Podcast:- On Patreon: https://patreon.com/dailyreflection- On PayPal: https://paypal.me/dailyreflectionIf you're struggling with alcohol or addiction, or wondering how to stop drinking it's helpful to know that there's a solution that has worked for millions of people. I also let listeners in on a little-known way to get audiobooks for roughly half price. Enjoy the show! Mark

I seriously looked forward to it every week. What makes it so different from all the other courses I’ve purchased over the years is the live, in-person element. It makes it so much more enjoyable, and I know for a fact I would never have made it through all this material if it were a self-paced, video course.” ~Adam C., Class 18D Alumni “If you are serious about producing podcasts and would like to learn from a true leader in the field, Chris Curran’s Podcast Engineering School is a huge value. This is a lifetime of experience that will benchmark your knowledge among the best in podcast sound engineering. I am now highly aware of the process, production, and importance of professional sound for podcast listeners – and I know how to make it happen!” ~Jim C., Class 17A Alumni “As a beginner in the world of audio, I really benefited from Chris’s Podcast Engineering School. Chris is a very good professor because he was very interactive with every single classmate and very patient with all the help he would give. After graduating I feel WAY more confident producing audio than I ever would have without this program. Overall, I highly recommend PES to anyone interested in learning the straight to the point no fluff version of professional audio engineering for podcast production.” ~Erika K., Class 17A Alumni “The Podcast Engineering School is an absolutely stellar course. It’s amazingly thorough while remaining focused on providing you exactly what you need to become a professional podcast producer.” ~Bryan E., Class 17A Alumni “Podcast Engineering School is a worthwhile and valuable investment for anyone who wants to produce a high quality podcast. Chris is very attentive and accessible for participants, and each class session went far beyond my expectations in terms of what I hoped to learn. Best of all, it’s all very practical, and I’m able to apply it immediately so I can “SOUND GREAT!” ~Barry G., Class 18B Alumni “I learned tons about recording, mixing tracks, adding effects to create higher quality podcasts, and so much more. I’m already applying these skills big time. Chris is a great teacher who really knows what he’s talking about when it comes to sound engineering. Overall, I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to improve their podcast production skills by leaps and bounds.” ~Ben L., 15 yrs old, Class 17A Alumni “If you’re thinking of signing up for Podcast Engineering School, do yourself a favor and sign up now. Chris’s passion and deep knowledge of all things audio made this course both fun and highly informative.
