Let's be real: Modern dating culture can suck. Between ghosting, confusion over when to have sex, the commodification of our love lives, and people throwing up old photos on Tinder, Feeld, or Bumble, it's not always clear how to make it work. But Freya isn't playing by the rules anymore. Instead of sticking with the apps, which can leave both men and women feeling dejected, she's running a full-blown, 3-month public campaign to find a boyfriend ... and she's inviting her entire audience along for the ride. What's equally as cool is that she's challenging herself on an essentially daily basis to approach men in the wild. We get all up into how this is going for her (how do you approach a guy at the grocery store? What if he's got headphones in? What if he's taken? How does she handle rejection?), and her strong and well-made points about how we could all "do" dating better. We also dig into the wildest event she's said yes to (hint: 250 people were watching); what happened on her fourth lap around a park after 3 failed attempts to talk to a cute guy walking his dog; and why the little note cards she's been handing out to strangers might be the most old-school-meets-radical dating move going right now.And a distinction we both come back to: the difference between dominating, being passive, and leading (and why "leading" is the one that actually works).Work with usReady to go deeper than the podcast and take action? Ben Vasiliou is back to chat with me today about boys, men, masculinity, algorithms and, lo 'n' behold, we even throw a lil' politics on the table... very un-Tiff-like indeed, huh! Ben's spent years working with young people and now leads The Man Cave, so he's in the thick of these conversations every single day. And I dare say, I found myself nodding along for most of it. His new book, Better Man, was what prompted me to ask him to come on for this chat about what healthy masculinity actually looks like when we stop looking at it through the loudest voices on the internet... But I reckon this conversation is about way more than men. It's about all of us, really. What happens when we stop trying to win arguments and start getting curious instead. About finding connection in a world that's becoming more divided by the minute. This week on Brett's Mancave, I'm joined by the one and only Cat the Ski Mask Momma, and things go off the rails almost immediately. We're diving headfirst into Obsession, where we spend way too much time arguing over who the real villain is. Is it the obvious choice? The terrible friends? Bad decisions? Or is common sense the biggest victim in the entire movie? Nothing—and no one—is safe from our hot takes. We break down the film scene by scene, roast the characters for making choices that would have any sane person yelling at the TV, and call out the emotional damage, manipulation, and relationship chaos that feels a little too familiar. Somewhere between the laughs and the arguments, we get into a real conversation about how romance and love aren't the same thing—and why confusing the two can turn your life into a movie nobody asked to star in. Cat and I don't hold back. We challenge each other's opinions, throw plenty of playful jabs, and somehow manage to solve absolutely nothing...except proving that communication beats obsession every time. So if you enjoy movie reviews with zero chill, sarcastic commentary, relationship debates, and enough laughs to make you forget you're listening to a psychological thriller, this episode of Brett's Mancave has your name written all over it. Press play, pick a side, and remember: if your relationship starts looking like Obsession, it might be time to leave before the end credits roll.

This week on Brett's Mancave, we're talking about one of America's favorite hobbies: white adventures. It all starts with the story of a man who got launched by a bison in a national park. Every year they put up signs that say, "Stay away from the wildlife," and every year somebody decides they're about to become best friends with a 2,000-pound animal. That story reminded me of every time I've let my white friends talk me into doing something that starts with, "Trust me... it'll be fun." Like the time they convinced me to do water sports on the Kern River—the same river that's known as one of the deadliest rivers in California. Somehow they heard "people die here every year" and thought, "Sounds like a great weekend!" I was just trying to survive long enough to make it back to the parking lot. And if that wasn't enough, there was the speedboat trip. Somewhere between "Hold on!" and "This is awesome!" I got launched, lost my pants, and almost lost my life. Nothing humbles a grown man faster than almost becoming a news headline while floating in the water in his underwear. At this point I've realized my white friends hear danger as an invitation. They see warning signs as a challenge. If the brochure says "Extreme," they're already packing. If it says, "High risk of injury," they're asking if there's a group discount. Me? Every time I agree to one of these adventures, I end up wondering if this is how my obituary starts. I've survived the Kern River, survived getting thrown off a speedboat, and now every invitation gets one question: "Can I die doing this?" If the answer isn't an immediate "No," I'm staying home. So this episode is about white adventures, my terrible decision to keep saying yes to them, and why every near-death experience reminds me that maybe I'm just too Black for this kind of excitement. I'll support the adventure... from a safe distance, preferably somewhere with air conditioning and solid Wi-Fi.
Ever thought about how a she shed and a man cave can be two sides of the same coin? In this lively discussion, Eric G, John Dudley, and Wendy Glaister tackle the fun quirks of designing your own little escape. They throw around witty remarks about the crazy things couples choose to include in their sheds—like, who knew that daffodils and moose horns could be such hot topics? The episode is packed with stories of real-life clients who have turned their creative visions into reality, from tech-savvy entrepreneurs needing separate workspaces to the hilarious dynamics of partners negotiating their décor choices. It's not just about the physical space either; the trio dives into the emotional importance of having a personal retreat and how it can impact relationships. They discuss the potential pitfalls of man caves becoming too enticing, leading to husbands spending more time in their sanctuaries than with their families. Wendy shares her experience of creating a stunning man cave for her husband, only to find that he never wanted to leave! It's a light-hearted yet thought-provoking exploration of how our environments shape our lives, making this episode a must-listen for anyone looking to carve out their own personal space.Takeaways:Designing a man cave or she shed is all about personal expression—make it uniquely yours!Compromise is key when creating shared spaces, balancing individual tastes without starting a home design war. It's important to consider future needs in your space—invest in good wiring and features that last.Creating a dedicated space can help maintain sanity in a work-from-home world, but balance is crucial to avoid isolation.Bringing in personal elements, like favorite sports memorabilia, can add character and make your space feel like home.Avoid creating a paradise that keeps you too comfortable—sometimes a little discomfort is necessary to encourage socializing.Links referenced in this episode:aroundthehouseonline.comwendyglasterinteriors.comCompanies mentioned in this episode:Wendy Glacier InteriorsSoundscapesBlacktail StudiosThanks for listening to Around the house if you want to hear more please subscribe so you get notified of the latest episode as it posts at https://around-the-house-with-e.captivate.fm/listenIf you want to join the Around the House Insider for access to the back catalog, Exclusive Content and a direct email to Eric G and access to the show early https://around-the-house-with-e.captivate.fm/support We love comments and we would love reviews on how this information has helped you on your house! This episode of Brett's ManCave kicks off by celebrating America's 250th birthday—a tribute to the freedoms, opportunities, resilience, and spirit that make this nation one of a kind. We take a moment to appreciate what makes America great before taking a sharp turn into the chaos that somehow always finds its way into my life. From there, we dive into the strange cast of characters I somehow call friends and the hilariously awkward situations they manage to drag me into. Along the way, I share unbelievable stories about one anonymous friend we'll simply call "Zombie D." His legendary antics are so outrageous that he's been known to make escorts question their career choices—and maybe even their life decisions. If you enjoy wild stories, questionable judgment, and laughing at the absurdity of real life, this is an episode you won't want to miss.

Should you leave your old 401(k) with a former employer, roll it into an IRA, move it to a new employer's retirement plan, or consider another option? The right answer depends on your goals, investment choices, fees, taxes, and retirement timeline. Lance Roberts & Jon Penn examine the advantages and disadvantages of each option, including investment flexibility, creditor protection, Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), fees, and the tax implications that could affect your long-term retirement strategy. We'll also explain why leaving your 401(k) where it is may be the best decision in some situations—and why rolling it over isn't always the automatic choice. If you're changing jobs, approaching retirement, or simply reviewing old retirement accounts, this discussion will help you make a more informed decision before moving your savings. 0:00 INTRO 0:48 - End of June - Start of July 2:25 - Google Goes to DJIA 4:43 - Maintain & Monitor Risk 8:35 - Man Caves & Kitchens 9:18 - I Need to Rollover My 401k to an IRA 15:16 - What to Do with Your 401k 17:04 - What You Lose in an IRA 20:55 - Is This a Bad Time to Invest? 25:57 - Binary Investors 27:33 - Gating Returns in Private Credit Funds 40:18 - Dollar Strength & Precious Metals 43:31 - Why You Should Keep Money in a 401k - vs IRA Hosted by RIA Advisors Chief Investment Strategist, Lance Roberts, CIO, w Senior Investment Advisor, Jonathan Penn, CFP Produced by Brent Clanton, Executive Producer ------- Do you enjoy our content? In this episode of Brett's Man Cave, I open up about my ongoing bad luck with cars. It feels like every time I start getting ahead financially, my car decides it's the perfect moment to fall apart or get damaged again. I lean into the sarcasm pretty hard, turning it into a running bit about whether my vehicle is cursed or just has terrible timing when it comes to my wallet. From there, I shift into a movie review of the internet-obsessed thriller Obsession. I talk about why people are so hooked on it and break down what makes it stick with viewers—especially the tension, the characters, and how messy everything gets morally. I also dig into some of the fan theories floating around online, from psychological manipulation interpretations to deeper hidden meanings people think are buried in the story. I share my own take on what might actually be going on and why the movie has people overanalyzing it so much. Then I wrap things up with something more practical: money and investing for the future. I go over simple, realistic ways to build wealth over time—like consistent investing, thinking long-term instead of chasing quick wins, and setting up things that can benefit not just me, but my future kids as well. It's less about hype and more about building stability slowly and intentionally.

In this summer episode of Brett's Mancave, I celebrate my daughter turning 4 years old and take a moment to reflect on what being a father really means to me. I give her the love and praise she deserves while also getting into a deeper conversation inspired by the new Michael movie (spoiler alert included). I break down the difference between dads who aren't there at all and fathers like Joe Jackson—who were present but abusive, pushing their kids to succeed at the cost of their well-being. This episode is me being real about the kind of father I choose to be: present, supportive, and someone who builds up instead of breaking down. It's about learning from both sides and making sure I raise my daughter with love, not fear.
This week Nicola and Di chat with talented filmmaker Jasmin Tarasin and lead actress Maeve Dermody about their new film Life Could Be A Dream. Jasmin is an award-winning filmmaker and artist who creates emotionally charged heartfelt stories driven by humanity and honesty. She is passionate about creating change in gender equality through storytelling in every part of her work. Maeve is an accomplished actress who starred in her first film at the age of 5 and has been acting ever since in television, theatre and films in both Australia and Britain. Every so often a story comes along that really sticks with you and sparks a bigger conversation. Life Could Be A Dream, already winning Best Independent Film at the Montreal Film Festival, is one of those films. It’s a powerful, intimate film that uses storytelling to shine a light on coercive control, financial abuse and those quieter patterns that can sit underneath relationships. It’s also a story of hope and resilience about how we can start to see things more clearly and make different choices moving forward. In this episode we chat to Jasmin about her work leading up to this film and what inspired her to tell a story about coercive control. We talk about what coercive control actually is, how you can recognise the subtle patterns or signs of it, and importantly, we also go through some of the very practical steps you can take to regain your own financial agency. We talk to Maeve about what it was like making the film, the beautiful cinematography, the powerful story and how we both felt when we watched it. It’s a film that really moved us, and even though it tackles a heavy topic, it does so in such a thoughtful and gentle way. As Jasmin says in this chat, she sees the film as a story of hope, family and resilience and as a love song to young men. Life Could Be A Dream is in cinemas in Australia from May 14th and a percentage of the ticket sales will go to The Man Cave, a preventative mental health charity for boys and young men. We loved having both Jasmin and Maeve in the studio with us and we hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did. Send us Fan MailWhat does it really mean to show up as a father of daughters? In this episode of The Daughtered Podcast, I sit down with Yusef Marshall—host of One on One with Mr. Yu, certified high-performance coach, leadership coach, minister, speaker, and proud father of three daughters, to dive deep into fatherhood, legacy, and what it takes to raise strong, confident daughters in today's world.Yusef brings over 25 years of coaching, leadership, and life experience to this conversation, but more importantly, he brings the perspective of a man who has walked the road of raising daughters into adulthood... and now into grandchildren and even great-grandchildren.We talk about the biggest mistakes fathers make with daughters, why many men take a passive role in parenting girls, how fathers shape the standard their daughters will one day look for in relationships, and why being present matters far more than simply being a provider. This is a real conversation about growth, responsibility, and becoming the kind of man your daughters need.If you're a father trying to become stronger, more mindful, and more present—this episode is for you.Connect with Yusef Marshall:
Host Darryl Anderson introduces a Man to Man 360 “Man Cave” edition titled “The Winning Edge,” based on 1 Samuel 22 and the cave of Adullam, urging men to see themselves as winners through redemption and God's power and to identify areas they're winning in and where they want to win next. He emphasizes the Man Cave is discipleship and brotherhood, not just a second-Friday event, requiring consistent individual check-ins beyond meetings and creating connection points that can draw others to church. Jeff teaches that David, though overlooked and pursued, processed despair through God (Psalm 142), and God sent 400 distressed, discontented, indebted men whom David developed into loyal valiant warriors, illustrating faith, humility, perseverance, excellence, and full commitment. The message closes by challenging men to be “all in,” even willing to die for the mission, and to adopt a winner's mindset.Try our NEW Fan Mail experience and send us a Text Message from HERE!

Who won the draft? No scripts, no forced takes—just real football talk.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Is Being Confrontational Good or Bad? Why Men Should Address Issues Head-OnHost Darryl Anderson opens a Man2Man 360 episode asking whether being confrontational is good or bad, defining confrontation as directly facing disagreements, problems, or conflict instead of avoiding them. He argues confrontation is often seen negatively but is beneficial—when done clearly and soberly—because it resolves issues, reduces stress and guessing, creates clarity, and builds respect among men by showing you are willing to address problems directly. He supports the idea with Matthew 5:21–25, emphasizing reconciliation by going to a brother who has something against you rather than avoiding the situation. Anderson cautions against immature, overly emotional venting, but says confronting major issues that cause avoidance is both good and godly. He invites listeners to follow the show at mantoman360.com and previews a forthcoming “Man Cave” podcast.00:00 Confrontation Question Intro01:00 Where to Follow the Show01:52 Why Confrontation Matters03:03 Biblical Basis Matthew 506:23 Practical Definition and Examples07:30 Respect and Directness09:59 When Confrontation Goes Wrong10:53 Good and Godly Conclusion11:18 Wrap Up and New PodcastShow is Recorded, Edited and Produced by Darryl D Anderson of Ambassador Media GroupVoiceOvers by Christopher BellIntro Theme Song Edited by Darryl Anderson (AMG) and Mixed by Damion Hill of E-Mix OnlineVISIT OUR WEBSITE for Man2Man 360PLEASE SUBSCRIBE YouTube Page: youtube.com/@man2man360Facebook Page: Facebook.com/Man2Man360Podcasts drop every Saturday at 9am EST.Full Episode Youtube drops every Saturday 8PM ESTLicensed to use song:Tough Kid https://www.premiumbeat.com/royalty-free-tracks/tough-kidIt's Raining Againhttps://www.premiumbeat.com/royalty-free-tracks/it-s-raining-againSFX - https://musicradiocreative.com/Try our NEW Fan Mail experience and send us a Text Message from HERE!

This week on Brett's Mancave, we're stepping into a whole new mindset — the villain era. Not the evil kind… the "I'm done taking nonsense" kind. I break down how my zodiac sign supposedly predicts this shift, but let's be real — it's really about leveling up, setting boundaries, and not letting work, bosses, or anybody else play with your time or energy. We also get into the reality check of getting older as a Millennial. Things hit different now — priorities change, patience gets shorter, and you start thinking about the future in ways you didn't before. That leads us into a wild but real conversation about retirement homes… what happens when you get there, what freedoms you might lose (yeah, even your drinking privileges), and the fantasies people have versus the reality — spoiler alert: those twerking nurses aren't part of the package. And of course, we couldn't wrap it up without showing respect to an American legend — Chuck Norris. We throw the deuces up and dive into some of the funniest myths and over-the-top stories that made him a cultural icon. It's a mix of humor, truth, and a little bit of rebellion — just how Brett's Mancave likes it.
It’s Masters Week, and that means one thing—golf takes center stage. Host Dan Kasper is joined by Justus Cleveland for a laid-back, unscripted conversation all about the magic of Augusta. From bucket-list dreams of attending the Masters to the tournament’s unmatched tradition and mystique, the guys dive into what makes this week so special for golf fans. They also relive some of the most iconic Masters moments—from Tiger’s legendary chip to Jack’s unforgettable run—and debate where Augusta National ranks among the greatest venues in sports. Plus, they break down this year’s field and make their picks: Can Scottie Scheffler be stopped? Is Rory still riding the high of his career Grand Slam? Could Xander Schauffele finally break through at Augusta? It’s a fun mix of storytelling, golf talk, and classic Man Cave banter.
