5.23.2024 #RolandMartinUnfiltered: No Prison for Marilyn Mosby, DOJ Sues Live Nation, GA Prosecutor Sued for Not Doing His Job Good news: Baltimore's former top prosecutor, Marilyn Mosby.  She was spared prison for mortgage fraud and perjury.  You'll hear what she had to say after today's sentencing.  The Supreme Court upholds a Republican-drawn South Carolina congressional district, reversing a previous ruling by a lower court and potentially making it harder to challenge voting maps in the future. The Center for American Progress' Senior Director of Courts and Legal Policy will explain what this means for the upcoming election.  The head of Georiga's prosecutors' council,  Pete Skandalakis, is accused of delaying the case against Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, one of the fake electors for Trump in 2020. We'll talk to the lawyers suing  Skandalakis for dragging his feet in the case.  The DOJ filed an antitrust lawsuit against Live Nation, Ticketmaster's parent company, for illegally monopolizing markets in the live concert industry. The White House refrained from expressing a stance on potential pardon requests, emphasizing a commitment to impartiality in matters of justice.  When questioned about calls for President Joe Biden to pardon Marilyn Mosby, the former Baltimore City State's attorney, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre adopted a noncommittal stance during Friday's White House press briefing.
