Today, Dawn led off the Dawn Stensland Show by highlighting another case of extreme media bias, noting some harassment levied toward a Republican staffer in Pennsylvania that's being underreported due to the associated political parties. Then, Dawn highlights former President Trump's trip yesterday to North Carolina, where he spoke to faith leaders and noted that he feels that God helped him avoid assassination for a cause, renewing his effort to save our Country. Pennsylvania State Legislator and Majority leader Matt Bradford led the Roundtable. Assisting him in this discussion were Justin Klos from the House Democratic Caucus' Demographics team, Pat Brier,Esq. and Dan Brier, Esq. According to the Public Interest Law Center, Pennsylvania elected officials, through a process called Gerrymandering, have manipulated the congressional map so completely that it has been labeled one of the top three starkest partisan gerrymanders in the country and the worst in Pennsylvania's history. Gerrymandering is the political manipulation of electoral district boundaries to create undue advantage for a party, group, or socioeconomic class within the constituency. The Moderator of the event was Prof Evan Laine

Dom Giordano, WPHT host and former teacher, has dedicated much of his daily show toward parents who are taking it into their own hands to push back against school boards that have a negative impact on their children. This has culminated in a weekly podcast on education, Readin', Writin', and Reason, which has allowed wonderful relationships to develop between Giordano, educators, and parents throughout the country who are speaking out against overbearing school boards. First, Dom welcomes in State Representative Martina White back onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the debate in Harrisburg over Republican-proposed lifeline scholarships that would allow students in Pennsylvania to freely leave failing schools. Giordano gets an update from White, who tells Giordano that even if Republicans are able to pass this, which may happen this evening, she's heard that Governor Josh Shapiro would veto the bill if it made it to his desk. Dom is shocked to hear this, with White explaining why he may do something like this, with both discussing the political implications of him caving to progressives on his future election chances. Then, Giordano and White talk about the positives of school choice, explaining the positive changes that would come with implementing the policy, and the freedom this brings for parents who are unhappy with the performance of their child's school. Then, Dom Giordano welcomes State Representative Clint Owlett onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the Governor's reaction to the bill he penned establishing a Lifeline Scholarship Program, which passed through the Senate this week. After the news of the passage, Gov. Josh Shapiro announced that he will take the money for this program, set it aside, essentially holding the program hostage after receiving concessions from Republicans for the establishment of the scholarships, which would bring school choice to Pennsylvanians. Owlett reacts to the Governor, calling back Shapiro's words during the campaign, where he positioned himself as pro-choice, even noting at least once that he's in favor of this exact bill. Owlett and Giordano delve deep into the political implications of such a decision, and Owlett tells of the net benefits of school choice, explaining the good that his bill will bring to Pennsylvanians. Finally, Dom welcomes in Charles Mitchell, President and CEO of the Commonwealth Foundation, back onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the news of Gov. Josh Shapiro's coming line-item veto of the Lifeline Scholarships put into the budget that was just passed through Senate. Mitchell first tells that we need to clarify that the fight is not over, no matter how much the media would like to report it that way. Mitchell tells that this bill was the first of many planned packaged bills that will, over time, enact the program and school choice for parents throughout the State. Then, Mitchell tells what listeners can do to help, telling about FundLifeline.com, and explains the role of Matt Bradford in the controversy.
Full Hour | In today's third hour, Dom welcomes Ben Weingarten, Editor-at-Large for RealClearInvestigations, back onto the Dom Giordano Program. Earlier this week, Weingarten penned a column for the New York Post about the rise of the Biden administration's Orwellian speech police after testifying before the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Accountability on federal speech-policing. In the column, Weingarten lays forth evidence of the continued silencing of free speech by the Federal government, explaining why he believes this amounts to a conspiracy to violate the First Amendment, ‘resulting in rampant election interference, the stifling of crucial debates for example on COVID-19 and the chilling of incalculable amounts of speech on much else — all in service of ruling class power.' Weingarten explains what he's discovered during his investigations, and explains the negative implications of this infringement on the First Amendment. Then, Dom welcomes in Charles Mitchell, President and CEO of the Commonwealth Foundation, back onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the news of Gov. Josh Shapiro's coming line-item veto of the Lifeline Scholarships put into the budget that was just passed through Senate. Mitchell first tells that we need to clarify that the fight is not over, no matter how much the media would like to report it that way. Thank you all so much for listening to season 2 of The NoNap Podcast! When Erin Lillis gave me the thumbs up to continue a second season for them, I was incredibly excited, and a bit overwhelmed! Matt Bradford lost his legs and vision four months after arriving in Iraq at the tender age of 20. Iraq was an especially dangerous place for the United States military in 2007. IEDS were a constant threat, and this young marine was tragically injured as a result. In our conversation, Matt talks about waking up to darkness. Unaware of his sight loss, Matt assumed he was captured and blindfolded. Once Matt was cognizant of the events, he cried for days over the loss of his legs. Through the help of his caring medical team, Matt was ready to begin the journey to his new life. He learned braille and how to walk on his new prosthetic legs. Matt is the first double amputee, blind marine to re-enlist. Matt's life did not turn out how he expected, but he would not change a thing. He is an inspirational speaker, teaching both kids and adults about the need for strong leaders. In his own words, Matt loves America more than most. He lives with his wife and family in Kentucky. Action Plan: https://jimharshawjr.com/ACTION Free Clarity Call: https://jimharshawjr.com/APPLY “The next hour is not guaranteed, so we’ve got to live each minute to the fullest.” No legs. No vision. No problem. Would you have the guts to say this if you lost your legs? On January 18, 2007, Matt Bradford was severely injured after stepping on an Improvised Explosive Device in Haditha Iraq. At that moment, his whole life was detoured. He learned the true meaning of overcoming, adapting, and success through failure. Matt never let his injuries define who he was or what he could do. He sees every obstacle as a new challenge for him to overcome. Over the years, he has been inspired to share his story to motivate others through their own life challenges with his message of #JustWalk and #NoLegsNoVisionNoProblem. I hope by the end of this interview, you find the courage to look at Your challenges, Your failures, Your setbacks, Your adversity, ... and have the mindset of no legs, no vision, no problem. And I know where you’re at. You’re working hard and qualified for what you do but you aren’t getting what you want. You have plans on getting to the C-suite or launching a business but ultimate success seems as far away today as ever. You’re in the right place because you can get there from here. And I can help. Who I Am I’m a speaker, coach, and former Division I All-American wrestler that helps motivated former athletes to reach their full potential by getting clarity on what they really want and taking aggressive action to lead their ideal life not just despite their prior failures but because of them. I’m a husband and father of four. And I’m a serial entrepreneur. I’ve launched multiple successful businesses as well as the obligatory failed one. I’ve been the executive director of a non-profit and have raised millions of dollars. I’ve worked in sales. I’ve even been a Division I head coach. While I was born in a blue-collar home I have spent my life surrounded by Olympians, CEOs, and millionaires. Jim Rohn said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” I’ve been lucky. I’ve learned the habits of successful people and guess what. You’re just like them. I know because I know your type. You’re programmed for hard work, which is a prerequisite for success, but you’ve never been shown how to use what you know to create the life you want with the tools you have. I will show you how. Why You Are Here You've worked hard to achieve greatness. You’ve set goals and maybe even set records. You’ve definitely failed and you’ve at some point found yourself questioning if you were on the right track. You need to understand this: You are far more prepared to succeed than those who’ve not tried, competed, struggled, and overcome as you have. That’s the value of your education as someone who aims high. You are prepared to be as successful as your wildest dreams will allow. Here I will teach you, with the help of brilliant minds that have been shaped by failure, struggle, and adversity, to be who you want to be. I sense that you want this because you have read this far. Matt Bradford does things most of us never will. He completed the Spartan Race Trifecta. He hiked 10 miles through the desert in the Bataan Memorial Death March. He's finished six marathons this year and is scheduled for three more. And in 2010 he did something that no one had ever done: He re-enlisted in the Marine Corps after a combat injury made him a blind double amputee. It was because he found that his new mission was to help other severely-wounded veterans find new lives. Now retired from the military, Matt tells The Spaniard how he continues to inspire and motivate others, raise three children beside his wife Amanda, and take one step at a time.
