In this episode, I share my thoughts on the evolving meaning of “rewilding” my illustration process. Originally, rewilding meant bringing analog elements back into my work—inking on paper, scanning textures, doing things the “hard” way. But lately, I've been asking myself: is it really about going analog? Or is it about something deeper? In this episode, I unpack how rewilding is less about tools and more about mindset. I look at how digital tools can either suffocate or support our creativity, depending on how we use them. And I share how I'm finding spontaneity, joy, and pride in my work—even when it's 100% digital. If you've ever felt disconnected from your creative process, or worried about how AI and digital tools are affecting your style, this episode is for you.I also share some reflections on the Amish, digital minimalism, and why your mechanical pencil will never ask you to rate it on the App Store.IN THIS EPISODEWhy rewilding might be a mindset, not a mediumHow digital tools can both hinder and help creative joyWhat I've rediscovered about spontaneity, surprise, and storytelling in illustrationWhy pride in your process matters—and how to get it backHow AI is forcing illustrators to reevaluate their processThe three key questions I now ask to evaluate any creative toolPLUS – Why my Apple Pencil will never beat a Mason jar full of ink water.SHOW LINKSDrawing Ideas (Skillshare Class) — https://www.tomfroese.com/teaching/drawingideasPost by @brettpstenson — https://www.instagram.com/p/DKiYMKHSapr/?img_index=1See How Book Artwork Was Done In The Old Days Before Computers — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5YoyBvX1f8Graphic Design Tools Before Photoshop — https://youtu.be/O-XrRQf7BPM?si=GqEeaFOWfW3A87LlMy early style (Tom Froese Postcard example) — https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5aa6d6c0a9e028fce5f7f4b2/1523840966237-XPQXSOX8HCUS9WI1SEDW/Tom+Froese+Stationery-3.jpgMy style a few years ago (totally digital) — https://www.tomfroese.com/work/canadianidentityMy more recent style (more rewilded, in spite of being all digital) — https://www.instagram.com/p/DJr4MSTyTTv/ (image for my upcoming book, Drawing is Important).HOW TO SUPPORTShare this episode with your friends!Like / Subscribe / Follow / Comment / Review on Apple PodcastsBecome a $3 Supporter or $8 Drawing Buddy on Patreon – patreon.com/tomfroeseBECOME A DRAWING BUDDYLive, monthly Draw With Me meetupsAll past DWMs available as replaysExclusive access to the DWM Discord ServerJoin hereFIND ME ELSEWHEREWork and ClassesInstagramDaily DrawingsCREDITSMusic and Cues by Mark Allan Falk – semiathletic on Linktree

What if the most transformational thing you could do for your relationship was to consciously end it? In this raw and revelatory conversation, Raj and his beloved Natalie share their unconventional journey of falling in love, consciously breaking up, and coming back into relationship—but this time, with the “intelligence of love” as their guide. They reveal how treating love as a master teacher, rather than something to control or contain, unlocked levels of devotion, intimacy, and spiritual growth they never thought possible. This episode is a masterclass in using your intimate relationship as the ultimate catalyst for transformation. What you'll learn:The difference between "expressing love" and "becoming love" and how to surrender into being an open channel for love's intelligence to flow through youHow to move at "the pace of love" versus the pace of your triggers and why honoring the slowest part creates sustainable intimacyThe "benefit of the doubt" principle that transforms how you see your partner's difficult moments as soul expressions rather than character flawsHow to identify your self-abandonment patterns and create mutual agreements to lovingly call each other back to self-loveThe art of conscious completion and transition including how to close relationship containers with gratitude instead of resentmentWhy "discernment" is different from "withholding" and how to know when something truly serves love versus just needs to be seenUsing apology and forgiveness as "technologies" to move through conflict faster and create deeper intimacy in the processThe framework for "conscious coupling" including how to create relationship agreements when you're regulated, not triggeredHow to design daily rituals of integration that help you digest lessons and compost insights so you stop repeating the same patternsThe practice of sovereignty in nervous system regulation so your relationship becomes a place of mutual support rather than codependent activationReady to transform your relationship into a spiritual practice? This conversation will challenge everything you think you know about love, commitment, and what it means to truly devote yourself to another human being. Whether you're single, coupled, or somewhere in between, the frameworks and insights Raj and Natalie share will give you a completely new lens for approaching intimacy as a path of awakening.Watch the full episode now and discover how to let love be your greatest teacher.Connect with Natalie:https://www.instagram.com/thenatalieadele/profilecard/YouTube: @SatNamSocietyhttps://tr.ee/jzm7juB1uF Legal Disclaimer: The information and opinions discussed in this podcast are for educational and entertainment purposes only. In this special episode, you get to be a fly on the wall for a powerful live coaching session with Julia Nedry, a therapist who's making the leap into the world of coaching.Julia joined me after participating in The Profitable Coaching Business Bootcamp and winning our “Get Coached on the Podcast” prize. She came into the session full of excitement — she had already created a thoughtful and structured signature coaching program… but there was one big problem:She didn't know how to talk about it in a way that would help someone understand why they would say yes to coaching vs. therapy. We also discovered that she needed to get even more clear and specific about her niche, messaging about the outcomes of her offer — the specific transformation it provides, who it's really for, and what outcomes they are really desiring for themselves!.(And spoiler alert — that's one of the most common places for brilliant, capable practitioners to get stuck.)So in true Passionate & Prosperous style, we got to work.In this coaching session, you'll hear us unpack:Why “helping people with anxiety” is too vague when it comes to selling coaching (even if it's your wheelhouse in therapy)Why “20- and 30-somethings who feel stuck” is not a niche — and how to get more specificWhat messaging actually is — and how it goes way beyond just describing your processThe difference between selling a coaching program and selling the results it deliversHow to figure out what your ideal clients are actually looking for so you can speak directly to themWhy your framework means nothing if people don't understand what your offer helps them achieve in real lifeBy the end of the session, Julia experienced a total breakthrough, shifting from someone who felt stuck trying to explain a coaching program to someone who could finally own the transformation she's here to deliver. She walked away with crystal-clear messaging, a deeper understanding of what her ideal clients actually want, and the confidence to start showing up and selling her offer in a whole new way.If you've ever felt like your offer makes sense in your head but doesn't seem to land with your audience, or if you've been wondering why people aren't saying yes, this episode will change the way you think about marketing your work. You can connect with Julia on LinkedIn and Instagram.Get Full Show Notes, Event Sign Ups and More Information Here:http://www.staceybrassrussell.com/podcast

Episode Description: In this deeply moving and profoundly insightful episode, Amy Wheeler welcomes yoga therapist, author, and pelvic health expert Cheri Dostal Ryba to share her personal story of healing, embodiment, and reclamation. Cheri's journey touches on intergenerational trauma, family estrangement, caregiving for a parent in crisis, and the body's remarkable wisdom in processing, protecting, and ultimately guiding us toward healing.Cheri vulnerably recounts the transformative chapter of her life that unfolded after her family returned to Wisconsin, just as her book, Pelvic Yoga Therapy for the Whole Woman, was released. Amid navigating her family's unraveling, Cheri found herself in the heart of her own embodied healing journey — trusting the intelligence of her body, allowing grief to move through her, and reclaiming her own sense of safety, belonging, and joy. This conversation is a testament to the power of somatic practice, ancestral healing, and trusting the subtle (and not-so-subtle) signals our bodies give us, even when our minds may not yet have words for the story. Please note: This episode touches on sensitive topics, including family trauma, suicide attempts, and intergenerational wounding. While the conversation is approached with compassion and care, we advise listener discretion, particularly if you are listening with children or if these topics are personally triggering.Topics Covered:How yoga, breathwork, and mantra supported Cheri's healing processThe wisdom of the body in revealing truth — even before the mind catches upGrieving necessary endings and choosing healthy boundaries with familyThe role of the pelvis in personal power, belonging, and embodied wholenessHow yoga therapy can support pelvic health, trauma recovery, and personal reclamationCheri's upcoming Pelvic Yoga Book Summit – May 2-3, 2025Quotes from the Episode: "Sensitivity is the privilege and responsibility of remembering." — Toko-pa Turner "Healing is living — fiercely committing to the present moment." — Cheri Dostal RybaResources Mentioned:Book: Pelvic Yoga Therapy for the Whole Woman: A Professional Guide by Cheri Dostal RybaEvent: Pelvic Yoga Book Summit - May 2-3, 2025 (Registration opens by April 4, 2025)Book Mentioned by Amy: Necessary Endings by Dr. Henry CloudMantra Discussed: Mahā Mṛtyuñjaya Mantra – exploring its symbolism of effortless release and surrenderAbout Cheri Dostal Ryba: Cheri is a yoga therapist, pelvic health specialist, somatic educator, and author. Send us a textEver wondered why some hearing aids feel invisible while others never quite sit right? The secret lies in the impression-taking technique—and Ray Woodworth is the master.Ray joins Dr. Douglas Beck on the Hearing Matters Podcast to reveal the artistry behind deep canal impressions. As a Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist at Starkey's Center for Excellence, Ray has tackled some of the most challenging fittings nationwide, refining techniques that transform patient experiences."The ear is the boss," Ray emphasizes repeatedly. This fundamental philosophy drives his approach to custom fittings, respecting each ear's unique anatomy rather than trying to force technology where it doesn't belong. His insights overturn common practices—revealing why cotton trumps foam for blocking, and why video otoscopes revolutionize the processThe conversation demystifies technical aspects like material viscosity and shore values while making a compelling case against the overreliance on dome fittings. Ray explains why he opts for custom solutions 80% of the time when many practices do the opposite, demonstrating how proper canal impressions deliver superior sound direction, better retention, and often improved cosmetics. Most fascinating is the window into the factory perspective, where Ray's experience troubleshooting thousands of challenging cases has crystallized into a knowledge, tools, and skills (KTS) approach that any hearing professional can adopt. For practitioners and patients alike, this episode illuminates why those few extra millimeters of impression material can make the difference between hearing aids that transform lives and those that sit unused in drawers.Want to elevate your fitting technique or understand why your hearing aids might not feel quite right?
