La faute à l'arrêt des exportations de pétrole, principale ressource dans la région, dû à un désaccord avec la Turquie. Les professeurs ont donc arrêté de faire cours et manifestent par milliers tous les dimanches. De notre correspondant à Slemani,Les images diffusées sur les réseaux sociaux montrent tous les dimanches des milliers de professeurs grévistes manifester leurs colères chaque semaine à Slemani, deuxième ville du Kurdistan irakien.« Le dernier salaire que j'ai reçu ? C'était le 4 septembre 2023... » Sader, l'un des leaders de la contestation, est professeur pour des élèves de 7 à 12 ans. Il nous accueille chez lui, avec son costume marron et sa cravate violette : « Nous n'irons plus faire cours pour faire pression sur le gouvernement jusqu'à ce que nous soyons payés ».Les autorités intimident les professeursAu fur et à mesure, les manifestations s'élargissent. La civetta cieca (Carbonio Editore, 2020), considerato il suo capolavoro, fu pubblicato in patria solo undici anni dopo la sua prima stesura a causa dell'opposizione del regime dello Shah Reza Pahlavi, ed è ancora oggi oggetto di costanti censure.Hedayat morì suicida in un appartamento di Parigi, in estrema solitudine e miseria, nell'aprile del 1951.
