The CDC's draconian edict and more on today's CrossPolitic Daily News Brief This is Toby Sumpter. Today is Friday, August 6, 2021. Representative Cori Bush Staged a Homelessness Protest over the last weekend, Sleeping Out on the Steps of the US Capitol Building – protesting the eviction moratorium as it expired following a Supreme Court ruling Play: 0:15-0:43 Then Yesterday Biden said this on Moratoriums Play: 0:17-0:46 Likely to face legal challenges, but oh well. The Supreme Court has ruled, but oh well. Which is what all the states should say about Roe v. Wade. Then just a few hours later: Rochelle Walensky CDC Tsar Issued A Decree From Her Unelected Throne https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2021/s0803-cdc-eviction-order.html CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky today signed an order determining the evictions of tenants for failure to make rent or housing payments could be detrimental to public health control measures to slow the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. This order will expire on October 3, 2021 and applies in United States counties experiencing substantial and high levels of community transmission levels of SARS-CoV-2. The eviction moratorium allows additional time for rent relief to reach renters and to further increase vaccination rates. In the context of a pandemic, eviction moratoria—like quarantine, isolation, and social distancing—can be an effective public health measure utilized to prevent the spread of communicable disease. Eviction moratoria facilitate self-isolation and self-quarantine by people who become ill or who are at risk of transmitting COVID-19 by keeping people out of congregate settings and in their own homes. CDC remains committed and will continue to explore and use all of the tools at our disposal to protect the health and well-being of Americans affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The order can be found at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/covid-eviction-declaration.html. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said: The emergence of the delta variant has led to a rapid acceleration of community transmission in the United States, putting more Americans at increased risk, especially if they are unvaccinated. This moratorium is the right thing to do to keep people in their homes and out of congregate settings where COVID-19 spreads. It is imperative that public health authorities act quickly to mitigate such an increase of evictions, which could increase the likelihood of new spikes in SARS-CoV-2 transmission. Such mass evictions and the attendant public health consequences would be very difficult to reverse. National Apartment Association Has Sued the United States Government https://www.naahq.org/news-publications/naa-sues-federal-government-recover-industry's-losses-under-nationwide-eviction The National Apartment Association (NAA) on July 27 filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims to recover damages on behalf of rental housing providers that have suffered severe economic losses under the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) overreaching federal eviction moratorium. As NAA members and the broader industry understand all too well, the CDC's prolonged order directly harms those who provide critically needed rental homes, jeopardizes the long-term viability of housing infrastructure and sets a dangerous precedent for future disaster-response measures. NAA is the first to take legal action seeking compensation for the CDC's policy and to ensure that similar “emergency measures” cannot be enacted again. The suit, NAA et al. v. The United States of America, is open to all rental housing providers who have been damaged by and are operating in a state or locality under the federal eviction moratorium. It argues that the CDC order has curbed several rights under the U.S. Constitution including: The right to access the courts, the freedom to contract with others absent government interference, the right to demand compensation when property is taken by government action and the limits of federal government power. NAA is confident that the CDC will be found to have acted illegally based on court rulings to date, including the most recent decision from the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals affirming that the CDC's order was unlawful. Twitter: May 17, 2013 @NYGovCuomo There should be a zero tolerance policy when it comes to sexual harassment & must send a clear message that this behavior is not tolerated. Cuomo violated federal, state laws as he sexually harassed multiple women, NY attorney general says https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/03/ny-gov-andrew-cuomo-sexual-harassment-report.html?__source=sharebar%7Cfacebook&par=sharebar According to Chris Cuomo over at CNN...kidding CNBC: New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed at least 11 women and then retaliated against a former employee who complained publicly about his conduct, according to a bombshell report released Tuesday by state Attorney General Letitia James. The monthslong probe concluded that Cuomo “sexually harassed multiple women and in doing so violated federal and state law,” James said at a press conference. Her office noted, however, that there were no specific penalties tied to the report. The 165-page report, which comprises interviews with 179 witnesses and a review of tens of thousands of documents, also said that Cuomo's office was riddled with fear and intimidation and was a hostile work environment for many staffers. Cuomo harassed members of his own staff, members of the public and other state employees, one of whom was a state trooper on his protective detail, the report alleges. He engaged in nonconsensual touching, groping, kissing and hugging, and made inappropriate comments toward numerous women, according to the report. Mariann Wang, a lawyer for two accusers, Alyssa McGrath and Virginia Limmiatis, said in a statement, “Cuomo's misogyny and abuse cannot be denied.” “He has been doing this for years, without any repercussions. He should not be in charge of our government and should not be in any position of power over anyone else,” Wang's statement said. Debra Katz, an attorney for former Cuomo aide Charlotte Bennett, echoed Wang, saying Cuomo and other complicit staff “must resign immediately.” “If he does not, the New York State Assembly must accept the Attorney General's findings and begin taking the appropriate steps to remove him from office,” Katz said in a statement.” Biden calls on Cuomo to resign after sexual harassment findings https://www.axios.com/biden-cuomo-resign-sexual-harassment-fbf75920-c6cb-4179-8625-c175dac2db8d.html All U.S. House and Senate Members Representing New York Call for Gov. This one runs through the 2028 season, tacking three years onto the last refresh in 2018. A lot has changed in those three years and money only continues to grow for a coach coming off his seventh national title. Back in 2017, Saban's contract update was worth $65.2 million over the eight years it spanned. Then 14 months later, another new deal was worth $73.8 million over eight years. That number is up to $84.8 million over the eight years covered on this new deal. Of that total, $4 million comes in five separate season-completion bonuses of $800,000 apiece following the 2021-2025 seasons. The other $80.8 million is mostly the talent fee that increases by $400,000 yearly while the base salary remains $275,000. Public records show Saban was paid a total of $9,227,934 and 18 cents by UA in 2020. That includes a monthly paycheck of $692,059.07 with a $90,000 bonus paid in February and another $900,000 in December. The monthly paycheck under the new contract is now $725,383.41 and that began with his March 31 statement. His year-to-date pay for 2021 is $6,015,217 including an $875,000 bonus paid in February. That includes an $800,000 national title bonus. It's all part of the financial arms race within college athletics. Alabama football's coaching salaries rose 33% over the past five years from $14.0 million to $18.7 million last year as revenues continue to grow. Alabama athletics brought in $189.3 million in the last fiscal year before the COVID-19 pandemic ate an estimated $75 million in revenue in Fiscal Year 2021.” Way to go higher education. CrossPolitic Daily News Brief for Tuesday 08/03/2021 I am stepping in for Pastor Toby, well...because he is a Pastor first. Friends of the show. Before I get started, I want to bring you backstage behind the CrossPolitic scenes on some things. We started CrossPolitic in 2016, and never could have imagined the world we are living in now. Men can magically become penguins...I mean women...I mean uh democrats are going insane, abortion is infrastructure, and conservatives are racist because we think voter ID is a good thing. The left/right divide use to be cordial, but now it has entered into Cold War era. You see this in cancel culture, the sexualization of politics (thinking of required cake baking scenarios), and partisan voting fraud investigations. And now that cancel culture has leaped from the government/university setting into the business world, the cold war is shifting into gorilla games. I am grateful for the voice God has given CrossPolitic, and I hope God continues to bless the road we are on. Our goal for CrossPolitic and the network is really two fold: First is to speak with courage the truth in such away that it creates space for you to do the same. Courage begets courage, and when we push back effectively that creates room for thriving Christian communities to grow. This is what it means to fight wolves is to create room for the sheep to run, to eat, and to sleep, so we hope we are doing this at a national level for you. Our second goal is to create a thriving Chrisitan economy. We have mentioned before, that the Babylon Bee was canceled from Mailchimp's services, Trump was kicked of Stripe, our friends over at Gab have been kicked off 5 banks. As our platform grows, we hope to bring more and more businesses together that are like minded in our walk with God and the mission of Fight Laugh Feast. The next 20 years, I believe, are going to be quite the fight, and this is why I think building our own platform is so important. Antifragil/Cancel free. The world has their platforms, think of ABC/FOX, etc…, we need to build ours. Why doesn't FOX host their own conferences/events? We are the only network, that I know of, that host our own events. We have to build, we have to be in community, we have to map out a game plan that hits back at a political culture that is hostile to Christ and His Church. So here are some ways you can help us build: Share the show. Send a text. Email a friend. Get the word out. Did you listen to Dr. Jay? Join the clubCome to our events. If you own a business or are just wealthy, support our efforts, either behind the scenes or as a sponsor. If you have talents that could help our efforts and want to volunteer, email me at Waterboy@CrossPolitic.com. We are in the process of beginning to build out our club platform that will create a social media like experience for our club members. Our club members are invaluable, and we want to build a community platform for our club members to network with. We want our businesses to have access to our club platform, so we can all network together, hire each other, consult with each other, and become the dark web of resistance against our godless culture. Jesus is King, and of course we labor in vain if God does not build our house, and so as we make plans for an antifragile family network, club portal, business network, events, more shows on the network, etc… We lift them all up to God, and trust in Him to bless what directions, what plans He wants to bless. So, please consider reaching out to me, and we can't thank you enough for you tuning in. Lord bless Christian CEO fired over views on marriage wins religious discrimination case https://www.christianpost.com/news/christian-ceo-unlawfully-fired-over-views-on-marriage-court-says.html According to the Christian Post: “A court in Scotland has ruled in favor of a Christian CEO who they said was unjustly fired by the country's biggest grant-making trust because of his Christian views on marriage. Kenneth Ferguson was unlawfully discriminated against by The Robertson Trust and its Chairwoman Shonaig Macpherson for believing that marriage is exclusively between a man and woman, an Employment Tribunal has ruled. The Christian Institute, which supported Ferguson, announced the ruling in a statement on Friday. Ferguson is an elder of Stirling Free Church, which holds traditional views on marriage and abortion. The Christian CEO was dismissed from the Glasgow-based Trust last March after Macpherson objected to the church hiring the Barracks Conference Centre, a Trust property, for its Sunday services. But the Trust reportedly cited “performance issues” as the reason for his firing. “I was told by two members of my senior management team that Shonaig Macpherson went ‘ballistic' and was almost unable to speak because she was so angry,” Ferguson said previously, according to The Herald. “She kept asking why the Trust had rented to the Stirling Free Church. One colleague told me that Shonaig had said ‘definitely not the Free Church, anyone but the Free Church, they don't believe in same-sex marriage.' They said she was ‘incandescent with anger.'” The Tribunal observed that Macpherson appeared to be “seeking to find reasons” to justify firing Ferguson prior to March 2020. “The issue of the beliefs of the claimant and Church with which he was associated” had been on the mind of Macpherson throughout the whole procedure, the ruling said. The Christian Institute's Deputy Director for Public Affairs Simon Calvert called the ruling “a welcome re-statement of the principle, upheld again and again in the courts, that the Christian belief that marriage is between a man and a woman is a belief protected by equality law and worthy of respect in a democratic society.” Calvert said it was a “just outcome and one which sounds a warning to those who think they can mistreat Christians in the workplace.” Although the church had hired the property in June 2019 for one year, it was asked to quit for not complying with the Trust policy. The court's next step is to hold a hearing to decide the amount of damages which The Robertson Trust will have to pay Ferguson.” Government Agency Wasted $143 Billion On Medicaid Overpayments In 2019-2020 https://dailycaller.com/2021/07/27/medicare-medicaid-government-waste-spending-lawsuit/ According to the Daily Caller: “The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) wasted $143 billion on Medicaid overpayments during the last two years, and it hasn't been transparent about its efforts to recover those funds. CMS reported $57.36 billion and $86.49 billion in Medicaid overpayments in the fiscal years 2019 and 2020, respectively. The improper payment rates of 14.9% and 21.36%, respectively, represent a substantial jump from prior years, and CMS is required by the Social Security Act to recover improper payments that exceed three percent.” Americans for Prosperity Foundation (AFPF), a conservative nonprofit which seeks to advance economic freedom and promote limited government, filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request on May 5 asking CMS what efforts it had made to recover the overspent money, data on improper payment rates by state and internal communications within the agency regarding the issue. CMS did not answer the FOIA request, and AFPF and is now suing CMS in response. “I have not been able to identify a bigger number historically, nor a more rapid surge. It's the mother of all government waste statistics,” Americans for Prosperity senior health fellow Dean Clancy told the Daily Caller. “$143 billion is enough to cover another 24 million low-income adults, or another 7.2 million disabled people, for a full year.” CMS has also failed to thoroughly respond to a March 2019 letter from Republican Pennsylvania Sen. Pat Toomey and Republican Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley and a December 2020 letter spearheaded by Republican Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson.” Plug "In the beautiful town of Moscow, ID, Erber Automotive is looking for Christians to join forces and wage war together on broken cars. The Senate proposal (pdf), the Restore Public Health Institution Trust Act of 2021, would require the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to assess the CDC's public health messaging and decision-making and prepare a report on its findings. The report would include a review of the data that the CDC used to make its recommendations and whether the agency's “inconsistent messaging” had an impact on the public's trust and willingness to take the COVID-19 vaccine. “These guidelines, like most of the Biden Administration's actions these days, make little sense and seem without scientific direction,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said in a statement, referring to the CDC's recent reversal of masking guidance for fully vaccinated people. “Americans have spent the last year and a half making tremendous sacrifices to halt the virus's spread, but they are confused and have lost trust in our institutions. The mixed messaging could also degrade trust in the efficacy of vaccines.” The measure would also require the GAO to determine whether outside entities, including teachers' unions, were in a position to affect the CDC's guidance.” COVID Disinformation: https://redstate.com/streiff/2021/07/31/lauren-boeberts-opponent-is-a-veterinarian-who-works-in-wyoming-and-claims-her-hospital-is-filled-with-covid-patients-n419474 Play video: Crazy Arkansas lady Then there is this tweet: And according to Red State: “Keep in mind that despite the scrubs and crazy eyes, Burnett is a veterinarian. She also claims to be a part-time physical therapist at Cheyenne (WY) Regional Medical Center, explaining the physical therapy table and dumbells. As they say, let's go to the video. Currently, Colorado is not experiencing a surge in ICU usage. In fact, the ICU occupancy rate is at or a little below normal. Colorado has reported having 1,346 staffed adult ICU beds. 790 are filled by non-COVID patients and 102 are filled by COVID patients. Overall, 892 out of 1,346 (66%) are filled. Colorado's Third District's major population center is Grand Junction. It is reporting ICU usage at normal levels. Grand Junction metro area has reported having 38 staffed adult ICU beds. 19 are filled by non-COVID patients and 5 are filled by COVID patients. Overall, 24 out of 38 (65%) are filled. Cheyenne Metro: Cheyenne metro area has reported having 25 staffed adult ICU beds. 1 are filled by non-COVID patients and 12 are filled by COVID patients. Overall, 13 out of 25 (55%) are filled. Lauren Boebert's Democrat opponent is not a medical doctor and does not work on a Wuhan ward or ICU. She is a veterinarian who is a part-time physical therapist. She doesn't work in a hospital in Colorado, so no matter what is happening in “her hospital,” it has nothing to do with Colorado. Colorado's ICU situation is at or below normal. The vaccination rate in Third District is on par with the rest of the state, and one of the two highest vaccination rates in Colorado is in Third District.” Closing This is Gabriel Rench with Crosspolitic News. Mark Driscoll is Back in the News https://www.christianitytoday.com/news/2021/july/mars-hill-elders-letter-mark-driscoll-pastor-resign-trinity.html ore than 40 elders who served with Mark Driscoll during the final years of Mars Hill Church are publicly calling for him to step down from his current pastoral position and seek reconciliation with those he has hurt. “We are troubled that he continues to be unrepentant despite the fact that these sins have been previously investigated, verified, and brought to his attention by his fellow Elders, prior to his abrupt resignation” from Mars Hill, they wrote in a statement originally released Monday to CT. “Accordingly, we believe that Mark is presently unfit for serving the church in the office of pastor.” Driscoll founded The Trinity Church in Scottsdale in 2016, two years after resigning from Mars Hill at the conclusion of an investigation into his leadership. In recent months, several former Mars Hill elders have heard directly from members leaving The Trinity Church over concerns around Driscoll. Several former members of The Trinity Church, including its recently resigned director of security, Chad Freese, have begun to share their experiences online. Their accounts and criticism predate Christianity Today's recent podcast, The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill, which looks back at the factors around the former church's growth and collapse under Driscoll. When the Eneas family joined The Trinity Church last year, they felt like they fit in as fellow transplants from the Pacific Northwest. “We were even telling our friends, ‘Don't google him, just come and see it for yourself,'” she told CT. [Wait, wait. Stop. Pause. Time out. This should be a first warning flag. Why would you not do any investigating? Why would you not ask questions about what happened in Seattle? This seems like an enormous lack of wisdom and discernment. So I'm already a skeptic about your ability to assess Driscoll. Ok, continue.] CT continues: [Mrs. Eneas] is grateful for the counsel she received from some former Mars Hill elders who joined an 85-member Facebook group of people who left Driscoll's congregation in Scottsdale. She estimates that over 100 people in the church she now attends had also left Trinity. [Wait. Wait. Stop. You joined a Facebook group of people who left Driscoll's congregation in Scottsdale? And that's not weird??? I'm sure there is only wholesome, uplifting things being said in that Facebook group. No bitterness. All very judicious, gracious, forgiving. No slander. No gossip. I'm sure every report is carefully investigated and all accusations are being taken directly to Mark Driscoll and the elders of his church…. Maybe I shouldn't hold my breath.] No I haven't listened to the chart-topping CT podcast called Who Killed Mars Hill? The rise and fall of Mars Hill… but do I trust the story-tellers? Nope. Not a bit. Remember Christianity Today has long since rejected fidelity to Scripture. Am I saying that Driscoll was sinless or perfect? Nope. Do I think he made some big mistakes. Yep. But I also think there were a lot of enemies of the gospel that wanted him taken down. And there are still many enemies of the gospel that are happy to use the more faithful to stir up discontent and bitterness. Be judicious, people. Remember as the church goes, so goes the world. We are practicing for a certain kind of public square. Guys: the Fight Laugh Feast Conference in Lebanon, TN, just outside of Nashville is coming up soon. Have you registered? The changes face long odds in the evenly divided Senate, where moderate Democrats and Republicans have said they oppose removing the abortion limits, but the House's move represents a milestone in the national battle over abortion access. The Hyde amendment… prohibits federally funded programs like Medicaid from paying for abortions except in the cases of rape, incest or to protect the life of the woman. It was first passed in 1976 and has been added to every federal spending bill since. Wednesday Daily News Brief: 07/28/2021 Friends of the show. This is what shepherds do, they create room for the sheep to run, to eat, and to sleep, so we hope we are doing this at a national level. Lord bless The White House tells staff to start wearing masks again, as coronavirus cases rise in Washington, D.C. CDC wants vaccinated Americans to wear masks indoors in Covid hot spots https://www.politico.com/news/2021/07/27/cdc-vaccinated-masks-indoors-500838 According to Politico: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended Tuesday that Americans wear masks indoors again, particularly in crowded indoor settings. The new indoor mask recommendations apply to vaccinated and unvaccinated people who live in areas where the CDC has classified Covid-19 transmission as “high” or “substantial,” a health official said — a category that includes much of the South as well as western states like Arizona and Wyoming. The announcement marks a sharp change in policy for the nation's leading health agency. In May, the CDC said vaccinated Americans no longer needed to wear masks outdoors or indoors in most circumstances. Internal deliberations about encouraging Americans to yet again wear masks indoors came to a head Sunday when senior officials from the White House and the CDC met to discuss new data that supported changing those guidelines, a person with knowledge of that meeting said. "This weighs heavily on me," CDC Director Rochelle Walensky told reporters Tuesday. "Not only are people tired, they are frustrated. We have mental health challenges in this country. We have a lot of sickness and death. Our health systems are being overrun. In the context of all that this, I know this is not welcome news. I just want to convey that this was not a decision that was taken lightly." Fauci Video on Masks: Roll Gov. Cuomo creepy pick you up in a car video: Steelers unvaccinated players will wear yellow wristbands According to NBC Sports: “The Pittsburgh Steelers have a high vaccination rate among players. Those who have yet to get the shot will stick out like a proverbial sore thumb. Per the team, Steelers players who haven't been vaccinated will be wearing yellow wristbands at practice. The Steelers have been among the most successful at getting players to choose to take the vaccine. That's a testament to the persuasive powers of coach Mike Tomlin, who realizes the competitive advantage of getting it — and disadvantage of not getting it. It won't be a surprise if, come September, every player remaining on the roster has gotten it.” Plug: "In the beautiful town of Moscow, ID, Erber Automotive is looking for Christians to join forces and wage war together on broken cars. Morning Joe Military Vaccine video: Role clip Biden plans to require federal workers to be vaccinated or undergo repeated tests https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2021/07/27/biden-vaccine-mandate-federal-employees According to The Washington Post: President Biden will announce Thursday that all federal employees will be required to be vaccinated against covid-19 or face repeated testing mandates, a White House official said, a dramatic escalation of the administration's effort to combat the spread of the delta variant. The new rules will closely align with policies recently put in place for government officials in California and New York City, the person said, speaking on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to disclose the plan. The White House is not planning on firing government employees who aren't vaccinated but will impose a number of restrictions on them as a way to encourage them to receive one of the government-approved vaccines. The plan is is part of a change in tack by the White House in recent days as the delta variant has spread markedly through parts of the United States, particularly among unvaccinated Americans. Public health experts have long said that getting at least 70 percent of the public vaccinated is the single most important tool in controlling the pandemic, but some parts of the United States have fallen far short of that target. And some authorities are urging an even higher rate of vaccinations now, given the increased virulence of the variant. On Monday, California and New York City said they would require government employees to either be vaccinated or face repeated testing requirements, and Biden was asked on Tuesday whether the federal government would impose similar requirements. "That's under consideration right now,” Biden said in response to a reporter's question after an appearance at a government intelligence facility. "If you're not vaccinated, you're not nearly as smart as I thought you were.” Rand Paul sends official criminal referral on Anthony Fauci to DOJ https://thehill.com/changing-america/well-being/prevention-cures/564803-rand-paul-sends-official-criminal-referral-on Fauci said he would not retract the statement and was adamant that he has never lied before Congress. Well last week, and sorry I did not get this to you sooner, but last week we covered Rand Paul's and Fauci's interaction. Sen. Paul challenged Fauc's statement that the National Institue of Allergy and Infectious Diseases did not fund “gain of function research”, and Sen. Paul is claiming that Fauci lied. Fauci of course balked at that, so last Wednesday The Washington Examiner reported that “Kentucky senator officially sent a request to Attorney General Merrick Garland to open a criminal investigation of Fauci's statement. "I write to urge the United States Department of Justice to open an investigation into testimony made to the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions by Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, on May 11, 2021," Paul wrote in the referral obtained byThe Examiner. According to The Examiner, Paul also informed Garland of comments made by molecular biologist Richard Ebright, who said in May that research conducted by the Wuhan lab "matches, indeed, epitomizes the definition of 'gain-of-function research of concern' for which federal funding was 'paused' in 2014-2017." "He's lying about whether or not he funded gain-of-function research, and yes, he should be punished," Paul told Fox News on Saturday. Garland can approve or deny the referral, which only requests the investigation.” ‘My Last Term': Tim Scott Won't Run For Senate After 2022, Stays Mum On 2024 Presidential Race https://dailycaller.com/2021/07/25/tim-scott-wont-run-after-2022-2024-presidential-race/ Senator Tim Scott, you know the Senator of South Carolina, well he gave an ambiguous answer that peaked my interest: Roll clip. Since Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, people have been blaming others. A recent example: On January 6 th , our U.S. Capitol Building was breached and overrun by rabid Trump supporters causing at least 5 deaths, numerous severe injuries, and untold property damage. One of the talking points has been criticism of law enforcement for failure to gear up and react more swiftly to the attack. While there is growing validity to some of those complaints, my blood boils when I hear congressional Republicans launching those complaints while failing to acknowledge their complicity in this preventable tragedy. How could they not see the writing on the wall during 4 years of dishonesty, abuse of power, and destruction from a man who puts himself above all else? How could they not realize that an unrestrained bully feeds on his own power and grows like a cancer intent on destroying anything that gets in its way? Rather than risk alienating their Trump-supporting constituents by publicly

Today in the Word Devotional

Since Adam and Eve rebelled against God in the Garden of Eden, the world has been broken. As one writer expressed, we live in a world where people “exhibit a corruption of thought, emotion, intention, speech, and disposition.” This impacts every area of our life: work, school recess, even a well-planned vacation. Things are not the way they were supposed to be. Today’s reading expresses the emotion of living in a broken world. David feels surrounded by adversaries who want to take him down. He describes them as enemies, attackers, evildoers, bloodthirsty, people who lie in wait, conspirators, and slanderers (vv. 1–5). He pictures them like vicious, wild dogs prowling the streets, waiting to pounce (vv. 6, 14). This psalm reminds us of how persistent and pervasive evil is in our world. But Psalm 59 also reminds us of a deeper reality. God is David’s strength and fortress (v. 1). David can call to God for deliverance knowing that He is able to hear and powerful enough to act (vv. 5, 8). While this psalm is full of the violence and scheming of the wicked, its final word returns our focus to God’s love and faithfulness. “You, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely” (v. 17). The word translated “rely” is the Hebrew word for God’s covenant love, hesed. God is love and will remain faithful to His promises. David knows this and even though his enemies “prowl about the city,” he declares, “but I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love” (vv. 14, 16). >> Over 100 years ago after a revival in Wales, William Rees wrote the hymn “Here is Love,” which reminds us that at the cross, “Heaven’s peace and perfect justice / Kissed a guilty world in love.” Look up the lyrics to this hymn today and join with David in singing of God’s love (v. 16).

[Comment: Tenants, Not Owners] Friends of the Rosary, We read yesterday in the New Testament the parable of the landowner who planted a vineyard (MT 21:33-43). The owner of the vineyard is the Lord and we are the tenants, the wretched men who insult the Author of Life and make the mistake of thinking that we own the world. Naturally, the outcome of this behavior is a total disaster for our souls. Friends, we are just tenants. Everything we have is on a loan. Even our own lives. Never forget that our lives are not about us and we are under the Divinity's judgment. In our blindness and pride, we refuse to listen to Jesus Christ and his Blessed Mother. We have received a fertile vineyard in the form of many gifts and talents. If we are smart, we should use them for God. More specifically, to help to build the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth. [Written by Mikel A | The Rosary Network, New York] --- Today, on the Memorial of Polish nun Saint Faustina Kowalska, we pray for following her footsteps of the devotion to Divine Mercy and God's merciful love. For always keeping in mind that we are tenants, never owners in the vineyard of the Lord. Since Adam and Eve, one of the most fundamental spiritual mistakes of mankind has been that we own the world. For building our daily lives upon the cornerstone of human existence, Jesus Christ. For the end of the pandemic through prayers to Jesus and Mary by holding the Most Holy Rosary. So, I asked God How should I as his child respond to all the negativity out there? Don't let the way of the world get to you the world is full negativity and that can be very dangerous for you and I in for any Christian I recently let negatively in lies it misunderstanding called me to just get upset it called me too just  to speak angerly then later that night I realized  that was Satan trying to destroy me by using false information negative situations in not letting me be calm as a Christian.  I should have step back and ask God to guide me and ask God for directions but no I let that evil demon of anger jump on me in attack me I should have just asked God to just let me walk away and let me seek his will his direction .  but no I did not do that , it is written never let the sun go down on your anger: Ephesians 4:26  According to Paul, even though we will feel anger, we are still supposed to not let evil talk come out of our mouths, but speak the truth in love and speak only things that impart grace.  We are called to not let the sun go down on our anger because we should not burry it, let it fester, and hold on to it.  We are called to deal with our anger in a constructive and grace-affirming way.  I know, I know, at this point some of you are thinking – 'yeah right, if you only knew what they did.'  You are right, I do not know, but God does. No matter what the presenting issue may have been, we should never let anger take over our lives or our relationships.  Often, anger is a mask that keeps us from dealing with the real issues. and ask God for forgiveness and I asked all the individuals involved for forgiveness as well so ask God the show me how to deal with the negativity negativity of this world show me as a child of God his child how do I handle the negativity of the world so I search the scriptures I search certain sites such as God questions I looked into my logo's Bible study software in this is the answer I came up with on how I as a Christian should deal with and Within this world For God tells us to forgive it again I'm asking for forgiveness to all that I offend it with my action  this past Tuesday as a Christian I know I am not of this world but I know that Satan is going to continue to attack me because I am a follower of Christ so I'm asking anyone that listen to this podcast the please pray for me that I may be strong in the Lord cause I know that it is written that the Lord said that if I hold my peace and keep my peace just be still he will fight for me Exodus 14:14 New International Version14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. and I am thankful for that so let me get into the answer that I found about how I as a child of God can deal with the negative of this world: So, I asked God How should I as his child respond to all the negativity out there?  YOU CAN READ: My research-my answer is as follows Answer: Negativity is nothing new. Since Adam and Eve were first banished from the garden, life has been hard, and we have been complaining about it (Genesis 3:23). It is the nature of sinful humans to live for ourselves and to complain when our desires are not being met (Galatians 5:19–20). We tend to argue for our “rights,” demand our way, and oppose anyone who disagrees with us. That combination results in a general spirit of negativity toward the world and life in general. It is understandable if those who do not know Christ are negative. They have no hope of anything beyond this world and its confusion. But negativity in a Christian's attitude means he is refusing to see life from God's perspective. When we join in with hostility, pride, and complaining, we are reacting the same way unbelievers do.   Unfortunately, God's people are often just as guilty of negativity and grumbling as those who do not know God. We often forget Jesus's words, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Negativity was one of the Israelites' gravest sins after God brought them out of Egypt, parted the Red Sea, and destroyed their enemies with a single, crashing wave (Exodus 14:16–18). Yet, as soon as the Israelites were not getting what they wanted, they began to grumble against God (Numbers 14:27). Rather than rejoice over all God had done for them and trust that He would continue to provide, they murmured and complained. The Lord hears when we do that, and it greatly displeases Him (1 Corinthians 10:10–11; John 6:43). There is a difference between being grieved over sin and being negative. Someone who agrees with God over the gravity of sin also agrees with God that we should do something about it. When God saw the evil desperation of humanity, He did something about it (John 3:16). Jesus came to show us what God is like and to get involved in our messy world (John 14:9). He was not afraid to “roll up His sleeves and get His hands dirty” (2 Corinthians 5:21). As His Body (1 Corinthians 12:27), we remain to carry on the work He modeled for us. Christians can counter the doom-and-gloom mentality with a gentle, loving, faith-filled approach to life (Ephesians 4:32; 1 John 5:14). We can refuse to be caught up in the hopelessness and me-first mentality that is too normal in the world (Philippians 2:14–15). We can offer light in the darkness (Matthew 5:14), truth during Satan's deception (John 17:17), and hope in the face of despair (Psalm 43:5). First Peter 4:12–16 gives us some clear guidelines about facing trouble. Peter says, “Do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice since you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.” Christians are to model a better approach to life. In the Beatitudes (Luke 6:20–23), Jesus gave us a glimpse into that better life. First Timothy 4:12 tells us to “set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” It is important to always keep in mind that, for the unbeliever, this world is as close to heaven as they will ever be. For the Christian, this world is as close to hell as we will ever be. When we live with that as our focus, we have the tools to combat the world's negativity and model the abundant life Jesus came to give us (John 10:10). At least since the time of Augustine of Hippo (aka Saint Augustine, AD354-430) and perhaps even before him, numerous religions that consider themselves to be "Christian", have taught the doctrine of Original Sin or Inherent Total Depravity. Since Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden because they disobeyed God by eating of the Tree of Knowledge and became guilty of sin, many theologians, like Augustine, but not all of them, have concluded and teach that our original parents' guilt is physically inherited from them by all of their descendants. Consequently, all future human beings have been and are born with sin. Take about 30 minutes to listen in on Arnie and Fred's discussion of what the bible says about this subject.

The Bangkok Podcast | Conversations on Life in Thailand's Buzzing Capital

This week we’re talking with an honest to goodness food scientist who gives us the lowdown on the health benefits - or lack thereof - of Thai food and its sundry ingredients. But first, Evo plays Robin Hood as he recounts a pleasant encounter with a wandering sheriff. What are the odds a visitor to Bangkok would not only run into one of the hosts of his favorite podcast, but run into said favorite podcast co-host just minutes after listening? Pretty high if you happen to visit Jack’s Bar. But as cool and unexpected as that was, it’s not what we’re talking about today. Adam Yee is a food scientist who works at a billion dollar health-and-wellness company in Phoenix Arizona. He’s the kind of guy who takes his work home with him, because he’s also the host of a podcast called My Food Job Rocks!. We brought Adam on the show to dispel the rumors and myths about the healthiness of Thai Food. Adam has a lot to share about what science says about fad diets and more, including these choice bits: How gluten spreads civilization (no offence to those diagnosed with Celiac Disease) Why you shouldn’t (and practically can’t) avoid MSG in Thailand A reference to the tastiest of tastes: umami Why you can blame the American military for Thailand’s dedication to sweetened condensed milk in everything How to curry favor from a food scientist (did you see what I did there?) The curious case of tamarind and why anyone would find it a tasty food additive Since Adam is curious about Thailand (his roomie is Thai), we talked about some unique aspects of Bangkok that shows why he’s a great food scientist. Among other things, we covered: The flavors and styles of snacks are made from seaweed The Mexican food scene of Bangkok (since he’s from Arizona, right on the Mexican border) How mayonnaise contributes to the Thainization of sushi Why Thais love Red #40 like French Canadians love Yellow #6 Macro trends on Thai-centric health concerns Love, Loathe, or Leave As we’ve talked about on prior episodes, Bangkok cops are cracking down on helmetless riders. Mototaxi drivers are accommodating, offering pay passenger a spare helmet. But when you’re sporting a mellon the the size of a beachball like both of us, it’s more about fine-avoidance than safety. Listen in to find out how we deal with this reality. We Love Our Supporters! In fact, we’re considering a special meetup for anyone who lives in or will be traveling to Bangkok next month. Episode 41: Since Adam was a kid his father would always tell him, “do what you love but something that benefits others.” When he was first launching his streetwear brand “Lisn Up Clothing”, that advice stayed with him and he decided that he was going to donate 50% of all profits towards charity. Six years later he still holds himself accountable and allows each customer to pick from a list of which charity the money will go towards. Growing up in Saugus, MA he saw firsthand the lifestyle of an entrepreneur as his parents ran a business, Toni’s Own Cookies, and he watched them go the extra mile with each and every customer to ensure they were satisfied with the transaction. Adam attended Babson College, one of the best entrepreneurship programs in the country where he learned quickly that you always want to create a team of people who’re on the same page, understand the vision and are willing to do whatever is necessary to make things happen. With inspiration from hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco and his ability to create socially conscious music and the world’s first t-shirt bakery Johnny Cupcake’s attention to detail with products and experience, Adam has incorporated both into his brand. Each new clothing line that releases is a new “album”, every product is a new “track”, the collection is printed on “CD booklets” and when the product arrives at your door it is packaged in a cardboard “boombox” with business cards and stickers inside. They’ve hosted different pop-ups across the country as what they refer to as their “tour.” With an industry full of competitors, he has made sure that the customer feels valued and satisfied with each step of the process so that if they do make a purchase they feel their money wasn’t wasted. It not only got them a tangible product but there was also this experience connected with helping a bigger cause with profits being contributed to a charity. In the past he’s been featured on Forbes, Huffington Post, Business Insider and more and he believes it’s only been possible because he’s always stayed focused on making sure the customer was happy and never letting the money get in the way of any of it. In this episode Adam discusses what it’s like to be a Muslim in America today, how he got the name “Lisn Up Clothing”, why he has entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk and hip-hop artist Logic on his iPhone home screen, having a public phone number for followers and fans to call, learning from a mistake of announcing a release date when he wasn’t fully ready, how to tell if someone is being authentic versus a salesperson and dealing with negative people. — Subscribe to our YouTube Channel for new interviews (and more) weekly: http://bit.ly/2zprpon Follow us on Soundcloud: http://bit.ly/2hcSBws Subscribe to iTunes: http://apple.co/2yE0u9l Follow us on social media: Instagram: http://bit.ly/2j82AHF Follow Bobbbaaaay on social media: Instagram: http://bit.ly/2Ap24ce Twitter: http://bit.ly/2hj6Ljm

Carpe Diem… seize the day! In this episode Russell talks about driving home from a family vacation and thinking about how the window of life is a short one and how we need to seize the day by creating. He also talks about his favorite part of Dead Poets Society and why it is important. Here are some interesting things to listen for in today’s episode: Why Russell thinks it is so important to look at life as a short window of time that we have to create something of impact. Why Russell believes that despite being born under different circumstances we all have shockingly similar trials. And why creating things that will help others is the secret to happiness. So listen below to hear what Russell believes about our short time on Earth and why it is important. ---Transcript--- Hey everyone, this is Russell Brunson and welcome to Marketing In Your Car. Alright, alright, I know what you’re probably thinking, “Russell have you forgot about us over here in Marketing In Your Car Land?” and the answer is no. I’ve been going crazy on Snapchat, as some of you guys know. If you haven’t started playing in Snapchat, come hang out with us. If you go to Snapfunnels.com there’s some free coaching showing you how it works and how you can add me on Snapchat, but we’re having tons of fun. I’ve been documenting behind the scenes of all the crazy crap of what we’re doing every single day. So if you haven’t been watching, you should come over there too. But the one thing that I don’t like about Snapchat, is I got 10 seconds at a time, and I feel like if I spend more than 2 or 3-10 seconds in a row talking about a concept it gets really boring. So if I ever want to go deep, this is where I come to go deep with you guys. Because I know you can handle it, I know you appreciate it, so that’s the game plan. We just got back from a week long family vacation and the week prior to that we had 50+ staying at my house for another family reunion, so it’s been two weeks of family and not a lot of chance to work. So I’m heading into the office right now and I’m really, really excited. But I wanted to talk to you guys about was a thought I had as I was driving home from Bear Lake, which is on the Utah/Idaho border, back here to Boise. So it’s probably, I don’t know, if you’re driving by yourself maybe 5 hours, if you got kids that got to go to the bathroom every 15 minutes it’s 8 hours. I don’t know. Somewhere between 5 and 8 hours to get home. And our kids actually did really, really good this time. But as we were driving, you have a lot of time with your thoughts. My wife and I talk for the majority of the time, but after 8 hours or whatever, sometimes you run out of conversation. So I was just sitting there thinking and what I starting thinking about was kind of cool. I was thinking about how many people have ever lived on this earth. And it’s a lot, right. I’ve read different people with different opinions. I think right now if you look at how many people are on the earth, I think it’s close to 7 billion. So that’s a lot of people, right. But if you think about all the people who have lived since the beginning of time. Since Adam and Eve first set  foot upon this planet. I think the number estimates I read were in the 80 or 90 billion people. That’s a lot of people. 80 or 90 billion people have graced this planet, since the beginning of time, and everyone kind of had a shot. We all come on this earth and it’s interesting, it’s almost like, I’ve been thinking about it recently, it’s almost like, not a mousetrap, but something like that. We enter this game, we enter this thing and I believe, maybe I’m wrong, but I believe that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us, who brought us here and placed us here on this earth, and I think that everybody was given different challenges. Now by different I don’t mean bigger or smaller, in fact I believe that when this whole earth life is over we have a chance to look back, I think that we will all be shocked at how similar our trials were in severity. I just think that, again I believe there’s a grand architect to this world, to this life. So I believe that nobody….from the outside it will look like this person was born with a silver spoon in their mouth, or this person lives in Kenya and has a horrible life, everyone’s got different things. But I think that we all entered the game and each of us are given different trials and things and I think that we’ll be shocked when all is said and done at how similar everybody’s trials were in severity. And again, sometimes you may think, oh this guy’s rich, so he doesn’t have any issues. But I guarantee that person who has a lot of money is dealing with all sorts of other issues and people that have no money are perfectly fine with other things. I think that it’s going to be shockingly similar if and when we have a chance to all look back on it. So there’s kind of my belief pattern. So through that lens I was looking at this, 90 billion people come to this earth and when we come here we each get different tools. We’re all born the same. We all come out of the womb and we’re butt naked, we’re crying and we’re all identical, but obviously we’re in different situations. Different parents, different situations, different lifestyles, different religions, different parts of the world. So everything is different, but we all come into this world and we’re given initially, a set of tools. And then we have this little window of time to see what we’re going to do with and the windows not very big, it’s really small. Think about the 90 billion people. All of them who are now dead came to this earth like, “Oh the world’s in front of me.” And then they’re dead, they’re gone. They don’t even exist anymore. The only people that exist are the 7 billion or so that are still here today. And every day there are probably hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people that disappear, their window ended. My window might end today, it could literally end in the middle of this podcast, for all we know, we don’t know. We had a guy on our team just a week or so ago, who was driving home, a young guy and had an aneurism while he was driving and wrecked the car and died. Boom, gone. The window was closed. We all have this little short window, and I was thinking while I was driving home. I’m in the middle of that window. I am right now, in the middle of that experience. It’s my turn. This is my experience. And 70 or 80 or 90 billion people have already gone through that and it’s come and gone and it’s over for them. And I started thinking about that movie, Dead Poets Society, I remember that movie was super slow and boring, but there was one scene in there and I just loved it. It’s when the new kids came in, Robin Williams is their teacher, and he takes them into the hallway and he shows them the picture on the wall and it’s black and white and it’s all these people. He said, “look in their eyes. Do you see that in their eyes? That’s hopes and dreams and desires and passions and things that they want to do and things that they want to accomplish change the world. And you see it in their eyes.” I can’t remember the words, but its like, “These guys are dust now. They’re dead, they’re gone. Their shot, their window is over.” And then he’s like, “They’re worm food now.” Or something like that, “But if you listen carefully you can hear them say something.” And then he says, “Now listen closely.” And they all lean in and then Robin Williams in his voice goes, “Carpe diem. Carpe diem. Seize the day.” And that was the message from this group of people who have died, calling from the dust saying, “Look, this is your shot, this is your window. You’re in the middle of it right now.” So you can go watch TV or go and slack off or whatever or you can seize the day. You can take this life and this opportunity, this window that we have and do something with it. And I was just thinking about that, I’m like how cool it is, I’m driving home and I’m in the middle of it right now. It’s going to be gone soon. Could be gone tomorrow, could be gone a year from now. I don’t know when. It could be gone 100 years from now, but I was saying on my best guest-imates, you know right now, I’m 30…..I don’t even know how old I am, 30 something, 36. So let’s just say I live to be close to 100, I’m a third of the way through this life. And the last third you are pretty much just hanging out. I assume, I don’t know, maybe not. I’m in the middle of it, this is it. So I was thinking. What do we want to do with this time? I feel like I have these hands, I’m looking at my hands right now, and hopefully you guys are as well. I’m looking at my hands and these hands that we have, these are tools of creation. We can create anything we want. You can literally create life, we can create families. My wife and I created 5 little amazing kids. I’ve created a business, I’ve created, you know I look at my yard, the things we do in our yard. We’re creatures who need to create. That’s what one of our instincts that God gives us is, we’re given these hands and this thing to create. So I was thinking what am I creating right now? What am I creating that’s not just for me? It’s always like, I want to be happy. That’s important, but a lot of times we can be happy at the expense of other people, right. It happens all the time, it’s a sad thing and it’s a selfish thing. So it’s not how can I be happy? But it’s how can I create stuff that makes other people happy? And by doing that I’ll become happier, it’s just how the laws of nature or whatever you want to call them, how they work. And I started thinking; we’re in this time where we get to create. So my question for you is what do you want to create? You’re in the same spot I am. And maybe I’m a year or two ahead of you or maybe I’m a year or two behind you, I don’t know, but you’re here on earth and you’ve got hands and you’ve got a mind, you’ve got the same opportunities, the same ideas, you’re exposed to the same things I am every single day. I’m trying to create my own world, and I’m trying to create things for other people, and I’m trying to create something  that makes this world a better spot when I leave and I hope you are too. I hope you’re thinking through that. What is it you want to create?  Because everything’s kind of make believe. I’m going to the office today, and I can sit down and think, what do I want to create? And I can create whatever I want. Maybe people will like it, maybe they won’t. I hope people will like the stuff but a lot of times they won’t. But that’s our opportunity and I think when you look at it from that lens, “We’re here on earth. A loving heavenly father put us here. He’s giving us all trials and challenges that are all different, but in severity they’re probably all the same or very close.” And you’re somewhere in this journey and you could be a third of the way through it. You could be half way, you could be three fourths, but regardless, we’re all going to go in today, we’re all going to look at similar computers; we have the same assets and resources at our fingertips. You’ve got Facebook, You’ve got Google, I’ve got the same things. And we’re going to try to create stuff that helps serve other people. And I hope you take advantage of that. Because as I was driving home the other day, I was just so excited for that opportunity that I have and grateful for it. And I just wanted to kind of share that with you guys today because I thought it was important and I think it matters. It was funny because I got home that night and I tried to Snapchat that in 10 seconds, and I shared it really quickly and took me probably 40 seconds to do it, and now we’re at 10 minutes in. I feel like I need at least 10 minutes to explain that and hopefully get that message through to you. Anyway, with that said, I want you thinking about that, thinking about two things. Number one is that now is the time to create. You are in a spot in your life where you have this window where you have the ability to create things for other people that will change their life in a little way and by doing that you will have left an impact on the world and that is where I think the true happiness you will feel comes from. Not from you making yourself feel good, but from you helping other people and that in return will make you feel true joy. And that’s what’s so cool. So there you go you guys. It is time to create. Carpe diem, seize the day. Don’t wait any longer. Turn off the TV, get off of your butt. Quit goofing around, let’s create something that helps somebody else and if you do that you’ll be rewarded. Zig Ziglar used to say, you can get anything you want in this life, as long as you help other people get what they want.” And I believe that is extremely true. Now is the time you guys. Carpe diem, seize the day. Alright, I am out of here. I’ll talk to you all tomorrow. Bye everybody.

A daily devotional through the Bible speaking with God as Adam and Eve may have in the garden east of Eden. Our website http://alittlewalkwithgod.com summary No one is exempt from the fall. Everyone fails to reach God in their attempts at righteousness. Since Adam and Eve, all have been born with the propensity toward wanting your own way. But Christ came into the world to pay the penalty for your sinful ways. He came as the perfect sacrifice for your sins. All you need to do is believe in Him for your salvation. The law points out your sin, Christ redeems you from it. He gives you real freedom from the law. Many think Christ abolished the law, but that really isn't true. What He really does for you is make it possible for you to live as the law intended. The law gave you guidelines and pointed out your wickedness, but couldn't do anything to redeem you because you couldn't keep the law. But with Christ in you, covering your sin by the sacrifice He made for you, you can keep the law the way God intends you to keep it. today's scripture Today's Bible reading plans include: Ready - Romans 3:21-31 Set - Romans 3-4 Go! - Romans 1-4

A daily devotional through the Bible speaking with God as Adam and Eve may have in the garden east of Eden. Our website http://alittlewalkwithgod.com summary It is so easy to slip into the Pharisaical bonds of religious order. Just follow the rules and you'll make it to heaven. The problem with following the rules is no one can do it. Since Adam first fell to the temptation of Satan in the garden and disobeyed God's rule concerning the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, humankind has failed to keep the rules. Some seem simple, but as you heard from Jesus when He spoke, even the simplest become the seeds for transgression in the mind of sinful man.  today's scriptures Today's Bible reading plans include: Ready - Galatians 4:8-31 Set - Deuteronomy 23; Galatians 4 Go! - Deuteronomy 22-24; Galatians 4

Even Dr. Fitness agreed that would probably work on him.  Here are Dr. Fitness' tips...Number 1, if you are new to strength training be sure to hire a personal trainer to learn the proper form. This will make your future workouts more productive and decrease the chance of you injuring yourself. Number 2, try relaxing uninvolved muscles while working out target muscles. For example, if you are working out your chest, try and relax your legs. And Number 3, balance strength exercises for opposing muscle groups to avoid injury. There were a lot more detail from Dr. Fitness, so you will have to listen to the show to find out all the rest of these great tips. Another highlight of this show was the Fat Guy and Dr Fitness talking about college football. Since Adam went to Rutgers he thinks they are deserving of a National Championship bowl game. All the Fat Guy thinks is that Rutgers should play Boise State for a very special College Championship Game.
