François Desquesnes, ministre des Pouvoirs locaux, vient de tirer la sonnette d'alarme : la Région wallonne cherche plus de 600 millions d'euros auprès des banques pour soutenir ses communes. Pour quelle raison ? Parce que certaines d'entre elles se sont retrouvées blacklistées par deux grandes banques belges. Des villes comme Liège ou Charleroi ne trouvent plus preneur pour leurs emprunts car elles sont vues comme trop risquées par leurs créanciers. Et c'est la région qui vole à la rescousse. La Région wallonne, donc, emprunte 3 milliards sur les marchés pour soutenir ces enfants turbulents, si je puis dire. Mais elle le fait en traînant les pieds car elle sait que ce n'est pas tenable éternellement. Et elle a raison. Quand vous commencez à emprunter pour couvrir les emprunts des autres, vous entrez dans une spirale où la seule chose qui s'étend, c'est votre dette publique. Pendant ce temps, certaines communes jouent encore aux illusionnistes. Selon François Desquesnes, elles remplissent leur budget avec des lignes fictives, comme des refinancements fédéraux, et donc on inscrit "40 millions à venir". Et hop, magie budgétaire ! Les communes sont-elles vraiment les seules responsables ? Pas tout à fait : le fédéral adore lancer ses réformes, comme celle du chômage maintenant, et laisser les CPAS, donc les communes, en gérer les conséquences négatives. Et pas 1 € de plus n'est prévu pour ça, ou en tout cas très très peu. Le ministre Desquesnes tente de remettre un peu d'ordre. Oui, il faut de la rigueur, oui, il faut revoir les politiques inefficaces. Et surtout, il faut retrouver la confiance des banques. Parce que sans confiance bancaire, pas d'argent, et sans argent, pas de commune fonctionnelle, et sans commune, pas de Wallonie. It's all hands on deck this week to discuss La Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Gracie, Loren, Georgie, and Abby gather to break down the final two races of the Spring, who came out on top and who has some catching up to do before the upcoming stage races.

Chaque semaine, dans Grand Plateau, on fait le point sur les Bleus. Où en sont-ils ? Sur quelles courses ont-ils brillé (ou non) récemment ? Où doit-on s'attendre à les voir prochainement ? C'est le baromètre des Français ! 

Il est décidément incroyable, imbattable, et son appétit n'a pas de limite. Oui le cannibale slovène a toujours faim de victoires et les ardennaises étaient cette semaine à son menu. La Flèche Wallonne et Liège-Bastogne-Liège se sont fait dévorer tout cru par Tadej Pogacar. Le Slovène qui n'a laissé aucune chance à la concurrence remportant deux victoires probantes qui ont laissé ses adversaires sans voix et les suiveurs pantois. Voila qui vient clore un printemps exceptionnel pour le meilleur coureur au monde qui va désormais gouter à un repos bien mérité. Et aujourd'hui dans Grand Plateau on va évidemment revenir sur la doyenne des classiques qui n'aura pas été le monument le plus sexy du printemps la faute, non pas à Pogi, mais à ses adversaires désignés tel que Remco Evenepoel bien décevant sur ses terres alors qu'il nous avait donné des raisons d'espérer la semaine passée. Comment expliquer sa défaillance ? Si Pogi décroche la palme d'excellence du printemps, quid des autres ? Et les Français dans tout ça ? Il n'y a pas de quoi sauter au plafond. Dans une actualité morose, ce rachat d'une pépite wallonne montre que la science réalise d'énormes progrès contre la lutte contre le cancer mais cela donne aussi un formidable coup de boost au moral. Une superbe victoire économique pour la Wallonie, explications. Dans cette ambiance plutôt morose où les mauvaises nouvelles économiques s'accumulent, la géopolitique est sous tension, où on a parfois l'impression que rien ne va plus, on va parler d'une belle histoire qui redonne le sourire et qui montrent que l'innovation et l'audace payent, même et surtout en Wallonie. Vous avez sans doute entendu dire que le secteur de la biotech était en crise chez nous : levées de fonds sont plus compliquées, certaines boîtes souffrent, l'âge d'or est derrière nous.
