And, if it feels like Ms.Trinidad does not have her plate full , she also holds a position in a field of marketing and business development. Did I also mention she is an artist , who proudly continues legacy of her father. Whew! I hope I did not miss anything. As Ms.Trinidad herself wrote: “Solidarity across all social justice movement is the way to liberation. Solidarity not charity, because charity doesn’t heal, and we are, after all, on our healing journey. We are healthier spiritually and physically when we let innocent beings live our their lives...While there are systemic issues within the healthcare system, one of the ways to empower ourselves is to self-advocate through plant-based nutrition. The current system and faulty societal beliefs that lead us to support the oppression of innocent animal lives because they don’t look like us are the very same tactics used on our people by invaders and oppressors throughout the centuries. Eating animals is not cheap, it costs millions of lives. No animal has ever willingly gave their life to be food. We can feed our hearts, our minds, our bellies with what grows from the ground. We can reduce violence to animals and to our people by what we choose to buy in this oppressive system that seeks to exploit all beings and the planet.” !!!!To find out more about Chilis on Wheels or to make a contribution, please visit www.chilisonwheels.org or follow their Instagram @chilisonwheels !!!!

The Rickford Files: Classic New York Photographs was Powell's second work, featuring what he considered “the real New York”, beyond the tourist glaze of Times Square and the deteriorating Greenwich Village. Frozade Moments: Classic Street Photography of Ricky Powell is a book of postcards consisting of candid snapshots of celebrities, local luminaries, and lowlifes that offer a view of New York City. The celebrities include Madonna, Jam Master Jay, KRS-One, Frankie Crocker, Andy Warhol and Flavor Flav. Rappin With the Rickster The original Rappin’ With the Rickster aired from 1990–1996, as Powell interviewed numerous stars on the show including: Russell Simmons, Doug E Fresh, Harold Hunter, Kool Keith, Rahzel, Laurence Fishburne, and Cypress Hill.[9] With his Public-access television show, Powell became the face of New York's downtown party scene, connected to both musical and visual artists such as Sonic Youth, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Russell Simmons, Harold Hunter, Dondi White, and Sofia Coppola.[10] “Rappin’ With the Rickster” often has been called the world's hippest-ever public access TV show, as Powell gave insight into the artistic phenomena of the day, with an excess of candid footage, impromptu interviews, and a vision of Powell's New York. Powell considered the show “a time capsule of someone growing up in Manhattan during that era and being around the music scene”.
