Benjamin's leadership emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and community engagement. The Project is located on the Gove Peninsula of Northeast Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory, and is focused on keeping women and children in Galupa safe and healthy through their connections to land and culture under the guidance of Yolŋu Elders. This year, Gayili turned down a $3million offer from Rio Tinto, which has established a refinery near Galupa, to relocate the Project, emphasising the centrality of her land to the work she does for her people. Galupa remains sorely underfunded, and listeners are encouraged to chip into their Christmas Appeal to build and maintain vital infrastructure to sustain this work into the future.// Nick Chesterfield - Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance solidarity group for Palestine Nick Chesterfield is a journalist and member of the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance solidarity group for Palestine. This week Nick had a conversation with Spike about the open letter written to Australian newsrooms by journalists to raise awareness of the the pro Zionist coverage of the war/genocide in Gaza. Coverage that peddles the false narrative that there is "parity' between the two sides and only one side has the right to defend itself is soft on war crimes and human rights abuses. Nick also discussed the pressure exerted by editors to push a pro war machine line or what Nick has described as "Stenographers of genocide". And finally Nick also discussed what an "Insurgent" more balanced media that reported the facts would look like.// Nour Abdullatif - Unassigned Gallery  Nour Abdullatif is the founder and director of Unassigned Gallery. Unassigned Gallery was born out of a desire to give a platform to artists ‘on the outside' as so often the art world can feel impenetrable. Nour is here to chat about the importance of amplifying artists' voices, what being a queer Muslim means to them, and finding joy and respite in creativity. The role of the Intimacy Coordinator is to support a screen or stage production by providing a safe, professional environment and clear structure and process for the choreography of intimate content. In the same way a stunt coordinator is engaged to realise a scene with physical risk, the Intimacy Coordinator is engaged to realise a creative, repeatable, and safe intimate scene. They are someone who works with the director, creatives, and actors to ensure that any scenes that require a certain level of intimacy are done so safely and respectfully, with everyone's comfort levels and consent being addressed. It is a new role that observers of, and participants in the Industry, are still becoming familiar with. For this episode, Randye provides some insight into her life and career and how it serendipitously seems to mirror the book – a memoir -- she's chosen to cover with me. Randye seems to be a prime example of those of us who want to show our authentic self, wanting to express who we are and what we really desire, yet didn't quite know which avenue or form that authenticity should take until it reveals itself to us one day. And she's taking full advantage of that realization, because it's never too late. Randye, like the author of Where In The OM, spent much of her career in corporate America only to find it wasn't the best outlet for her to align her everyday work with who she is in her heart. Randye is a native New Yorker and founder and managing director of Marketing On a Mission, a marketing consultancy specializing in working with mission-driven social enterprises. Prior to this, she led Affordable Marketing Solutions, a small business marketing agency for 13 years. She is on the Board of Arts Alliance of Stratford and serves as their Marketing Director. Previously, she was VP of Marketing and New Product Development at a financial services company. And, she was the first General Manager of the start-up co-branded credit card division of a global travel company. She is the author of Affordable Marketing Solutions: Proven Techniques to Profitably Market Your Small Business, and an award-winning Adjunct Professor of Marketing and Communications. Randy and I met through the American Marketing Association – CT Chapter Some highlights from the episode: · There is a way to do work from the heart while meeting – and exceeding -- business goals. · Balance is everything. · “'No' is a complete sentence.” Some books mentioned in the conversation: · Quantum Marketing: Mastering the New Marketing Mindset for Tomorrow's Consumersby Raja Rajamannar · The Infinite Game by Simon Sinek · Late Bloomers: The Power of Patience in a World Obsessed with Early Achievementby Rich Karlgaard · The Empath's Survival Guide: Life Strategies for Sensitive Peopleby Judith Orloff The main question that underlies my conversation with Randye is: How are you truly living your authentic life, feeling the alignment of what you do and who you really are?
