“You have to have a never quit, never say die attitude. Because even if you're working hard, even if you're coachable and teachable, you are going to have moments in business, many moments in business, where you want to quit. And you're going to have every good reason in the world to quit.”Sales is the lifeblood of any business, and success in it isn't about having a specific personality—it's about discipline, adaptability, and grit. The key to winning in sales is a mix of relentless work ethic, coachability, and an unshakable refusal to quit. If you can embrace rejection, learn from every interaction, and refine your approach, you'll master the game. And beyond making the sale, the real art is in customer retention—reminding clients why they chose you in the first place. People forget the value they receive unless you make it clear, and that's a fundamental business principle.Adam Allred shares his journey from door-to-door sales to multi-million dollar business exits, emphasizing that selling is about energy transfer and authenticity. His insights dismantle the myth that only extroverts thrive in sales—anyone can win if they master the right mindset. He also highlights how market adaptation is crucial, recounting his experiences adjusting sales techniques based on regional differences.Adam Allred is a serial entrepreneur with a background in door-to-door sales, having built and sold multiple businesses, including a garbage company and a pest control empire. With years of experience hiring and training thousands of sales reps, he now runs ventures across different industries, consistently scaling and exiting companies at a high level.Expert action steps:1. Today's message uses the excitement of the Super Bowl to challenge us to live our faith with the same commitment as professional athletes, drawing on three powerful principles: Practice Like You Play, Play Within the Lines, and Be Coachable. We explore how NFL players sacrifice everything for a chance to shine on the field—even when the odds are against them—and compare that to our own lives, where too often we settle for being on the sidelines. Through personal anecdotes about high school football and practical insights from scriptures like 1 Corinthians 9 and Hebrews 12, this talk encourages us to break free from mediocrity, set meaningful boundaries, and fix our eyes on Jesus so that we can fully embrace the life He calls us to live.

I found a post from Ball is Psych (@BallisPsych) that is so true for all of us, not just athletes. The story is connected to Michael Jordan, one of the best basketball players ever to play the game.  It starts out with the thought that “ the easier you are to lead, the further you will go.”  We all need to realize that if we are open to improving, we can go places. That improvement can come from a few different sources. Outside coaching is something that sure does help in all areas of life. We can only go so far if we are always thinking that we know everything. Being humble, learning to listen, and being open to learning, that all helps us to go farther. It's best said at the end of this story - “To go far, be easy to lead. Don't just tolerate coaching, welcome it, embrace it, and be grateful for the opportunity to grow.” I know I need it in so many areas and I am open to getting better for sure. Hope you are too.  Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also leave a 5 Star rating on Apple Podcasts and ITunes or other services where you find this show.  Find me on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/coachtoexpectsuccess/   on Twitter / “X”:  @coachtosuccess   and on Instagram at:  @coachjohndaly  - My YouTube Channel is at: Coach John Daly.   Email me at: CoachJohnDalyPodcast@gmail.com     You can also head on over to https://www.coachtoexpectsuccess.com/ and get in touch with me there on my homepage along with checking out my Top Book list too.  Other things there on my site are being worked on too.  Please let me know that you are reaching out to me from my podcast.

Orum is a software tool built for Sales that delivers instant live customer conversations to your target market. They are a series A tech start-up based in the bay area. Daisy made her way through Namely starting off as a Sales Development Representative and then was promoted to a Manager of Sales Development and then became an Account Executive and relocated to LA to start the office. She left Namely to become an Enterprise Account Executive being Employee #7 and became the Sales Rep of the year closing over 3.3 million in Annual Recurring Revenue. These were my top ten takeaways from our conversation1. Always have an empowering context- attitude makes a huge difference in an industry where rejection is something that you deal with pretty often working on deals throughout your career.2. There is a huge upside to being in tech sales if you are willing to put in the work and you have a learning mindset.3. Don't be a follower. Because of the decisions, she's made- she is able to live a life that includes a lot of freedom with a huge financial upside. 4. Don't be afraid to take a risk. Of course, many of her friends took more conventional paths and she decided to choose a career that was different than everyone else and because of that, she's able to have a ton of early success. 5. Be Coachable and be open to setbacks. There were times when she did not receive the promotion and in hindsight, it worked out because she wasn't quite ready. 6. If you are curious about software sales reach out to find a mentor. 7. Breaking down goals into mathematical outputs will help you achieve your desired outcome more consistently. It all starts with a vision and then work your way backward to achieve your goals. 8.  Evaluate the product, the accelerators, and what the upside is vs the base salary when considering a role in sales. 9.  In software sales, you can really work hard and achieve your goals and make 400-500k a year and then take a year off if you really wanted to and that's what is possible if you commit to this craft. 10. The Analogies between sales and life. Attitude determines altitude. Check out her YouTube for more tips on the benefits of Tech Sales.https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCf_Mi0sRHHZboZjB0Kv1R3AIf you want to connect with her on LinkedIn, click below.https://www.linkedin.com/in/daisychung13/

Short episode summary Coach Caroline of the RunRX podcast offers thoughtful ideas about doing something new and how it helps you grow. You should welcome challenges that make you stronger and more fierce in navigating through life.   Timestamps of big takeaways Impact of Music on Health [00:33] One of the best methods to stave off dementia and Alzheimer's is to play an instrument since it opens up the neural connections in your brain and helps you reconnect and grow in your brain cells.   Strength Training [01:03] Coach Caroline has been fascinated by strength training since she was a child. She is intrigued by how much weight her body can support and how she may progress into a stronger person. She intended to begin in her twenties but began in her forties, and today she is in her fifties, stronger than ever, and lifting weights.   Training and Running [01:42] When we were in gym class, we had no idea we were learning a standard of movement. How to squat and how to execute push-ups. Every action we take adheres to a norm of activity, and there is a code of conduct for training and running.   Self Disservice [03:11] While listening to a podcast, Coach Caroline came across a podcaster who had been working out before becoming pregnant and promised her followers she would resume it with her husband. She eventually missed a workout session, and her listeners inquired about her CrossFit experience, brushing off the notion that it didn't matter if she couldn't accomplish it and stating that life happens. However, she recognized that she is doing herself a disservice if she does not attempt something new.   Be Coachable and Trainable [04:11] Suppose you want to run without pain. If you're considering joining the RunRX membership, you may be in pain or don't feel there is a perfect way to run. How could Coach Valerie and Coach Caroline help people who have been in pain running for years? It starts with being open to training. Becoming coachable makes it easier to learn the correct way to run.    Importance of Proper Form [05:10] Learning the proper running form may be all your brain needs to reactivate and rejuvenate. Because, just like learning a new instrument or movement, we have to relearn everything we previously knew. That's a new set of synapses firing in your brain. And that can help you unleash your creativity and help you learn how to run pain-free.   Rate, Review & Subscribe Reminder Don't forget to like and subscribe to our show. But when you don't follow her plan, you're not giving the method a chance to show you what it can do.   Why We Do What We Do [01:23] There's a reason for strength training, self-care, and drills in the membership. We're training you in a different method of movement. Don't knock it before you fully try it.   Listen and Follow [04:49] When you get advice from others, you can choose to take it or leave it. If you come into the membership and start to get frustrated with the process or start having some issues, let's talk about it. Odds are someone else that has gone through our process has experienced what you're going through.   Be Coachable [06:23] Coach Caroline believes that if you come in coachable, with an open mind and a willingness to listen, you can learn a lot.   Advice [07:26] You are special and one-of-a-kind, but you are not a special unicorn in the running world. Time and and Time again I keep seeing people who are uncoachable. Why would anyone want to be uncoachable and know everything. If you have been reading your books, then you know how fun and almost a relief it is to know you have so much to learn. It becomes like a drug having to learn more and more. And you know there more you don't know the more your mind is open and you listen to all sorts of ideas. LIFE BECOMES FUN! So if you happen to be uncoachable, change it immediately. Do it now for your future. Your going to turn people off to the point they will no longer want to help you do and when you happen to change yourself, the damage is going to be done that no one wants to help you. Do yourself a favor. BE COACHABLE!

The reason most people don't have or want a coach is because they've seen bad coaches.  The wrong coach will actually hurt you in the long run.  The right coach will help you transform your business and achieve massive success. How to find the right coach or mentor: Passion. Find a coach that is passionate about coaching you and who wants to help you be the BEST. Pro vs Amateur. Make sure they are committed to teaching MASTERY, not short cuts and gimmicks. Track record. Their personal experience & mastery matters. Have they had success doing what they are teaching you to do and have they shown that as a coach they know how to help others succeed.  Great practitioners often make lousy coaches because they are not the same.  Generosity. Poor mentors act like everything is a secret...and they hold back. They are stingy with their knowledge and with their time. You want someone you feel like really wants to help you succeed and they are willing to give you their best. FINALLY, and most important, BE COACHABLE.  Don't try to impress them.  That only tells them you're not coachable, because you're always trying to look good, not get better.  Be straightforward and ask for what you want.  Then, be willing to take the coaching and do the work.  Great coaches love sharing their expertise with doers...not talkers.  Be a doer, so you can become a master.

And thats something that investors look for when they invest in companies. I heard it and continued to embrace it. As much as I would like to think that I know everything, it’s good to have someone tear you down and help build you back up. Find someone to share your idea with, and seek out the individuals that can help give you advice.” Finding A Team “You can’t do it alone! If you don’t let go of some of the more important tasks to your team, you’re being a bad leader. You have to trust and empower your team to be responsible.” Have Fun and Don’t Lose Yourself “If you find yourself losing yourself, you’re not only hurting yourself but you’re also hurting your company. You need balance, joy, and good health.” __________ Techie, Millennial Author, WWE Fan, Podcaster. Philadelphia native, Johnathan Grzybowski started his career at 14 mowing lawns. With the start of any wrestling season, whether it be high school, college or freestyle and Greco-Roman, getting your wrestlers to focus and frame their mind is crucial to development. On Episode 7 of the Attack Style Wrestling Podcast, coach Daryl Weber identifies three main areas with your wrestlers to get their mental framework and mindset in gear. Be Coachable 1. Don’t look for easier way than coach is telling you. 2. You will always find someone to tell you the easier road is acceptable. 3. Life will be much easier, if you are coachable. You improve quicker, have more confidence and aren’t always looking over your shoulder. Be Positive 1. Anyone can be positive when all is good. 2. Mentally tough people find a positive spin when the chips are down. 3. Example: If you get taken down and start shaking your head. 4. Expect & Be Prepared to Deal with Adversity Be Accountable 1. When coach corrects you, does it upset you or do you have a sense of urgency to correct things? 2. Most people are quick to throw pity parties. Separate yourself from the pack by holding yourself accountable regular. The Attack Style Wrestling Podcast is brought to you by AttackStyleWrestling.com.
