Then the guys review the Brewers Festival which featured a Looping Performance from Mike Love (not from the Beach Boys). Aldrine gives a "Shoutout" to Sarah and Craig, and explains how his One Piece tournament went on Oahu. A viewer asks for Proper Form when Standing or using a Strap? Aldrine demonstrates how if you have Proper Form, you don't even need your thumb in the back of the neck to play. A couple more audience questions include how Aldrine keeps his picking nails nice, why ukes go out of tune when using a capo, and if pressing down too hard will cause grooves in the fret?

Aldrine answers some questions from a previous podcast where viewers asked how to properly hold the Ukulele if they play a smaller size (Concert or Soprano), or how to play while standing. This leads to a discussion about particularly difficult to hold ukuleles, and where your strumming/fingerpicking hand placement should be if you don't play a conventional ukulele? The "Best Sounding" Ukulele is brought up again, and the question of if Aldrine has tried this ukulele with a High G is asked. The guys also talk about Aldrine's Up Strum with his Thumb, and #Answerin5 questions about chord names and Aldrine and Mike's signature hats. The podcast ends with Mike saying where you can find him (and Kyle), the guys thanking Vets for their service, and reminding everyone that the Song Challenge is due by Next Week.

Interested in learning how to improve running speed/endurance? We've got you covered! In this episode, Coaches Valerie and Caroline explain how interval training, hill repeats, proper running form, and overcoming mental barriers can help runners improve their speed and endurance.Timestamps of big takeawaysHow to Improve Running Speed and Endurance[00:50] Interval training allows you to work the body at a higher level and then rest. Long runs help you build endurance. Coach Caroline asks how this works within the RunRX teachings? The Benefits of Varied Training for Runners - Interval training and speed workouts[01:25] Varied training like intervals is key for improvement. Intervals build strength and speed with intense effort followed by rest. Long runs alone won't make you faster. Coaches should first teach mechanics, then proper acceleration. How Do I Extend My Stride?[03:35] Running faster is about learning to use gravity by falling forward at a higher angle. This allows runners to tap into more existing speed potential in a controlled way. It also helps them do hill and interval sessions correctly to get faster without injury.Overcoming Mental and Physical Barriers[05:50] Many runners hold themselves back mentally and physically without realizing it. Understanding how to use gravity and let go enables runners to control speed on downhills versus feeling scared.Coaching for Proper Form and Movement [08:48] Video analysis and coaching helps identify inefficient movement patterns. Starting with short practice sessions to feel proper form is more beneficial than trying to immediately run long distances.Refining running form and movement frees runners from overcompensation and injuries.Applying Lessons to Trail Running[09:27] Two runners in their 50s learned efficient uphill and downhill form. Using hill training to improve strength and speed, they overcame previous injuries and age concerns to excel at trail running.Rebuilding Excitement and Performance[13:49] Correcting form deficiencies gives runners hope and excitement again. Achieving efficient movement for even 10 steps at a time builds confidence to continue improving. Proper form enables runners to rebuild performance regardless of age or previous limitations.[15:45] RunRx offers customized gait analyses, coaching calls, training plans, and an online community. Authored by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison and John Jay to appear anonymously in New York papers under the pseudonym "Publius" in 1787 and 1788, the Federalist Papers aimed to rally public support for the proposed Constitution of the United States. As such, it is one of the most important sources for understanding the original intent of the US Constitution by those who participated in its construction. In Federalist number one Alexander Hamilton sets forth the ambition of arguing the following positions in favor of the adoption of the Constitution: "I propose, in a series of papers, to discuss the following interesting particulars: THE UTILITY OF THE UNION TO YOUR POLITICAL PROSPERITY THE INSUFFICIENCY OF THE PRESENT CONFEDERATION TO PRESERVE THAT UNION THE NECESSITY OF A GOVERNMENT AT LEAST EQUALLY ENERGETIC WITH THE ONE PROPOSED, TO THE ATTAINMENT OF THIS OBJECT THE CONFORMITY OF THE PROPOSED CONSTITUTION TO THE TRUE PRINCIPLES OF REPUBLICAN GOVERNMENT ITS ANALOGY TO YOUR OWN STATE CONSTITUTION and lastly, THE ADDITIONAL SECURITY WHICH ITS ADOPTION WILL AFFORD TO THE PRESERVATION OF THAT SPECIES OF GOVERNMENT, TO LIBERTY, AND TO PROPERTY." Articles and essays written by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay under the collective pseudonym "Publius" to promote the ratification of the Constitution of the United States. Short episode summary Coach Caroline of the RunRX podcast offers thoughtful ideas about doing something new and how it helps you grow. You should welcome challenges that make you stronger and more fierce in navigating through life.   Timestamps of big takeaways Impact of Music on Health [00:33] One of the best methods to stave off dementia and Alzheimer's is to play an instrument since it opens up the neural connections in your brain and helps you reconnect and grow in your brain cells.   Strength Training [01:03] Coach Caroline has been fascinated by strength training since she was a child. She is intrigued by how much weight her body can support and how she may progress into a stronger person. She intended to begin in her twenties but began in her forties, and today she is in her fifties, stronger than ever, and lifting weights.   Training and Running [01:42] When we were in gym class, we had no idea we were learning a standard of movement. How to squat and how to execute push-ups. Every action we take adheres to a norm of activity, and there is a code of conduct for training and running.   Self Disservice [03:11] While listening to a podcast, Coach Caroline came across a podcaster who had been working out before becoming pregnant and promised her followers she would resume it with her husband. She eventually missed a workout session, and her listeners inquired about her CrossFit experience, brushing off the notion that it didn't matter if she couldn't accomplish it and stating that life happens. However, she recognized that she is doing herself a disservice if she does not attempt something new.   Be Coachable and Trainable [04:11] Suppose you want to run without pain. If you're considering joining the RunRX membership, you may be in pain or don't feel there is a perfect way to run. How could Coach Valerie and Coach Caroline help people who have been in pain running for years? It starts with being open to training. Becoming coachable makes it easier to learn the correct way to run.    Importance of Proper Form [05:10] Learning the proper running form may be all your brain needs to reactivate and rejuvenate. Because, just like learning a new instrument or movement, we have to relearn everything we previously knew. That's a new set of synapses firing in your brain. And that can help you unleash your creativity and help you learn how to run pain-free.   Rate, Review & Subscribe Reminder Don't forget to like and subscribe to our show. A higher end. When jewelry is given as a gift to others, it is a reminder that the recipient is seen as worthy. It is a timeless gift, one that can be both functional and sentimental.
