In this powerful episode of the Preacher Boys Podcast, I sit down with Beth White, a survivor of a harrowing marriage defined by abuse, gaslighting, and spiritual manipulation. Beth courageously opens up about her ex-husband Justin White's shocking transformation after an ayahuasca trip, where he claimed he was no longer alive but instead inhabited by higher beings.Beth says that, at times, Justin said he was God; other times, he denied God's existence entirely. He alternated between claiming to be Jesus, an angel of light, or something else altogether. This dangerous delusion culminated in a horrifying act: Justin drugged Beth and their young children in an attempt to bring them into his twisted spiritual visions.Today, Justin calls himself "Justin Love" and claims to be a spiritual healer.Beth shares the dark truth about their marriage and the abuse she endured in this gripping conversation. Her bravery in recounting these events sheds light on the devastating impact of spiritual abuse and manipulation. This episode also revisits prior coverage of Fellowship Baptist Church in Michigan, including interviews with victims and former members, shedding light on a disturbing culture of abuse, cover-ups, and silencing.✖️✖️✖️✖️✖️✖️Support the Show: Patreon.com/PreacherBoys✖️✖️✖️If you or someone you know has experienced abuse, visit courage365.org/need-help✖️✖️✖️CONNECT WITH THE SHOW:preacherboyspodcast.comhttps://www.youtube.com/@PreacherBoyshttps://www.facebook.com/preacherboysdoc/https://twitter.com/preacherboysdochttps://www.instagram.com/preacherboyspodhttps://www.tiktok.com/@preacherboyspodTo connect with a community that shares the Preacher Boys Podcast's mission to expose abuse in the IFB, join the OFFICIAL Preacher Boys Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1403898676438188/✖️✖️✖️The content presented in this video is for informational and educational purposes only. Mary Beth is  a women's health care nurse practitioner, advanced practice holistic nurse, transpersonal nurse coach and former hospice nurse whose interest in non-traditional funerals and green burials was inspired by caring for her mom and family at the end of her mom's life.  Mary Beth started her nursing career working in a family-centered Labor and Delivery hospital setting and, to her, the deathing experience offers another opportunity to integrate body, mind and spirit practices and ease what is one of life's most intense and potentially rewarding events.  She studied Death Midwifery with Rev. Olivia Bareham of LA and has been mentored by Amy Cunningham of Fitting Tribute Funeral Services in NYC. Mary Beth joins us to discuss Green Burials, Holistic Funerals, and Home Funerals. This was a fascinating episode, with an extraordinary knowledgeable guest, and we hope it offers some insight into alternative options for the send off of a loved one. Heritage Radio Network is a listener supported nonprofit podcast network. Today on the podcast I am chatting with Roseanna M. White, who is not only one of my favorite christian fiction authors, but she has a heart for stories that share little known parts of history, and remind us about how we grow as people and in our faith. In this episode you’re going to get a mixture of some of my favorite things: faith building stories, thoughts on cultivating compassion for other people, fun history lessons and lots of moments of hope.  One of the most powerful take-aways from this conversation to me was this: History happens in the everyday decisions. That is something Roseanna echoes in her stories, but also how she encourages us all to engage our lives. You may not feel like what you do or the decisions you make matter very much, but as my friends at the Daily Grace Co always say “today matters for eternity” Whether that’s the work you do, the forgiveness you give, the compassion you show your children, or the efforts you make to listen to someone’s story that you don’t understand, all of those things matter. Ebenezer moments in people’s lives where the Lord makes Himself known, and sometimes even changes the course of a story, happen every day, when someone chooses to press in where its hard, or says yes when it may not make sense. The Lord is the God of our end. So whether you are new to Roseanna’s work, or you’re as excited as I was to get to know her a little better, or if you’re a history nerd that wants to hear some incredible things about America’s first spy ring, or WWI Codebreakers, or you just love to hear a good, hope filled conversation, there is something in this conversation for you. By the way, Roseanna’s latest book was released just this week!! You can hear about its unique story of mystery, treasure, and caribbean-esque English isles too. I just got my copy, I can’t wait to dive in! Today I’m talking with Beth White, who is a historical fiction author, but not only that, Beth is a southern woman, a music teacher in a high school in the inner city of Mobile, Alabama with a heart to share the South’s complicated history, elevate often untold stories, and shine a light on much of what has not been popular in history books, and ultimately to remind readers that hope was real then and it still is now.  We are living in a time that is full to the brim with feelings on fire, and today’s episode is yet another moment in the story of this podcast where the Lord made it clear to me: “this person, this story, this moment.” Beth’s most recent book, Reckless Love is the 3rd book in her Daughtry House trilogy that is the story of three sisters trying to put their lives back together during Reconstruction, which is the period following the Civil War. That period of time was also a time full of feelings on fire, and honestly, there are pages from these books, that carry conversations, even though they are fictional, that echo real conversations from that period of time, and from my current social media feeds.  I have also learned lately, that MANY people in this country have very little knowledge about Black history in America beyond some key talking points. It’s so important, friends, that we dive deep, and I’m so grateful for authors like Beth who are willing to share history, even if it's woven around a fictional story. When we know the story of a person, how it laid a foundation for the present positively and negatively, it can help us develop empathy and understanding. And sometimes, using fictional characters, not unlike how Jesus used parables in the Bible, we can navigate hard and murky waters by walking through a characters’ shoes so we can then fix our eyes on our own hearts. Beloved, we are the body of Christ, and a part of the body is suffering. It is our call to tend to it, because when one part suffers, we all suffer. (1 Corinthians 12:24-26). You know that every week, I tell you that you and your story matter, because they do. In this moment, our beautiful Black brothers and sisters need to hear from us that they matter. Does it mean anyone else matters less? No, it absolutely does not. We all need each other, but it takes work to tend to one another, especially when a part has been neglected for far too long. Let’s consider the Apostle Paul’s call to do the work. And what does that look like? Ask the Lord. He is the Great Physician. Beth White is the president and CEO of Houston Parks Board. They are hosting their 2017 Annual Luncheon on Tuesday, October 17. Charles Renfrow will be the guest speaker. You'll get a chance to hear updates on the progress of the massive Bayou Greenways 2020 project which is already great success. Beth reports that thanks to their initiatives, the work they've done is merely slowed down by hurricane Harvey's flood. The areas affected faired well since they were designed to help canalize flood waters and are being cleaned up. It's an example of responsible conservation and consequently, Houston Parks Board is still on track to connect more than 3,000 acres along the bayous into parks dedicated to recreation, transportation, and conservation. Once completed, 150 miles of greenspace and trails will crisscross all of Houston. You can get involved and stay up to date by visiting their website: www.houstonparksboard.org

Beth White is a mother of 3, remedial massage therapist and the 2016 ITU Paratriathlon World Champion in the PT1 category. Beth began losing her sight from the age of 5. Misdiagnosed most of her life, it has only been in recent years she has discovered she has a rare genetic condition (so rare, it does not yet have a name) with numerous symptoms including vision impairment and an inability to sweat. Sadly Beth’s 3 children have inherited the condition and each is slowly losing their sight too. Beth has thrown herself into her triathlon and is on a mission to raise funds, awareness but also inspire people with her story. She has gone on to win 2 medals at the ITU Paratriathlon World Championships; Silver in Chicago in 2015 and Gold in Rotterdam in 2016. In this interview we talk about the practicalities of triathlon as a visually impaired athlete, how the reward of pushing through your fear is always worth it, the “mother guilt” she experiences, how she isn’t brave or courageous, just determined and the importance of trusting your gut intuition and believing in yourself.

Stretching 2.7 miles through four vibrant Chicago northwest side neighborhoods, the unused Bloomingdale elevated rail corridor is adjacent to numerous private properties and crosses over major arterials, a historic boulevard, bus and bicycle routes, and the CTA Blue Line. The conversion of this corridor into a trail and park will provide unprecedented connections to and among these communities. The recently released Bloomingdale Trail and Park Framework Plan represents a critical juncture in the development of the project. Balanced between the efforts of the past and the development of the future, it strives to capture and harness the momentum and history of the project while defining a vision for the Bloomingdale's initial development and long-term stewardship. Beth White from the Trust for Public Land and Kathleen Dickhut from the City of Chicago will provide an overview of the collaborative planning process and discuss the plan's guidelines to design, implement, and manage a local trail and park with global appeal in the heart of Chicago's neighborhoods.
