Natural Law is great!God's eternal law, that is, His wise plan of order and beauty for the universe, was placed into created beings by ordering them through tendency and inclination towards their proper end. The eternal law is placed into the nature of the being itself. The human being can participate in this rationally, and this is what we call the natural law.

This is a fascinating discussion! Bruce Porter's current research is on a hierarchy of Eternal Law all the way down to Principles and Policies. Bruce gives it straight and direct as per usual. Have we culturally become communicators of Principles in place of Eternal Laws in the Church? To me, this is obvious. How often do we hear about Exaltation anymore or Eternal Truths such as Mercy Cannot Rob Justice? Are Doctrines truths? Are the Commandments doctrine? This is a great analysis and discussion on truth vs. culture in the Church.   Website- www.cwicmedia.com

Belief in limitation is the one, and only thing that causes limitation. We've made up laws of limitation for ourselves, and we unfortunately adhere to them. What are these laws? “I'm too old,” is one. “I'm too young,” is another. The list goes on and on, “I am not ready,” “I don't have enough experience,” “I don't have the connections,” “It's too late,” etc… The good news is that since we created these laws, we can also break free of them with faith in the Eternal Law of Good. On this episode, Darrell and Ed encourage each other and listeners to break free from the old laws of limitations and roadblocks, and move forward with joyful expectancy and calm confidence. The Kingdom Perspective

Transcript:Hello, this is Pastor Don Willeman of Christ Redeemer Church. Welcome to The Kingdom Perspective. The notion of the rule of law is not something that just happened in the history of Western civilization. It was not accidental. Rather, just as ideas have consequences, so ideas also have antecedents. There's always something that comes before. Most clearly, this notion can be traced to writings of Scottish thinker Samuel Rutherford (c. 1600-1661). In his famous book Lex Rex (1644), as the Latin title would suggest, Rutherford was proposing that nations be ruled by law and not merely by kings. This means that the power of the governing authorities should be limited by something objective, something outside themselves—by a law or constitution. In other words, a government should not be a pure monarchy, oligarchy, dictatorship or even a pure democracy. Rather, we should be governed by objective law that restrains both master and mob, limiting both the prince and the people from having all the power. Now, where did he get this idea? Well, he got it from the Bible. He was, after all, a Presbyterian minister. The Bible teaches that human beings and human society were designed to operate best under the dictates of God's Eternal Law. For example, all throughout the Old Testament books of Kings and Chronicles, the peace and stability of the nation of Judah is correlated to their faithfulness to the Law of God. When the Law of God is revered, the king and the people flourish. But when the Law of God is ignored, evil and chaos ensue. Now, as Christians, we ought not sit back and say, “Yeah, that's what's wrong with the world! People aren't obeying God!” Rather, we should be more self-reflective. Are we and our churches marked by obedience to God's Law?Something to think about from The Kingdom Perspective.2 Chronicles 12 (NASB)1 When the kingdom of Rehoboam was established and strong, he and all Israel with him abandoned the Law of the Lord….13 So King Rehoboam became powerful in Jerusalem and reigned there. For Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the Lord had chosen from all the tribes of Israel, to put His name there. And his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess. 14 But he did evil because he did not set his heart to seek the Lord.2 Chronicles 15 (NASB)1 Now the Spirit of God came on Azariah the son of Oded, 2 and he went out to meet Asa and said to him, “Listen to me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: the Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you abandon Him, He will abandon you. 3 For many days Israel was without the true God and without a teaching priest and without the Law. 4 But in their distress they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and they sought Him, and He let them find Him.2 Chronicles 17 (ESV)3 The Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the earlier ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals, 4 but sought the God of his father and walked in his commandments, and not according to the practices of Israel. 5 Therefore the Lord established the kingdom in his hand. And all Judah brought tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he had great riches and honor. 6 His heart was courageous in the ways of the Lord. And furthermore, he took the high places and the Asherim out of Judah.7 In the third year of his reign he sent his officials, Ben-hail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel, and Micaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah; 8 and with them the Levites, Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah, and Tobadonijah; and with these Levites, the priests Elishama and Jehoram. 9 And they taught in Judah, having the Book of the Law of the Lord with them. They went about through all the cities of Judah and taught among the people.

They become at-one with the Eternal Divine and their mind is filled with Divine power, which enables them to conquer all the five passions (selfishness, lust, anger, avarice, attachment to the flesh, and overwhelming pride). Whatever they say comes to pass. Their words and actions become forceful and radiant with spiritual power. No ordinary person can reach that stage (enter that region of spiritual power). There dwell those persons who have complete control over their bodies, rise above all desires of flesh, and have completely conquered their minds, by rising above all attachment. Their hearts are filled with Divine realization. They see God everywhere and in every created thing. Their mind is immersed in the glory of God; it remains immersed in His praise and becomes intuned with the Infinite. This stage of life is indescribable. The glorious beauty of heart and soul of persons who have reached this stage of life is beyond human comprehension. They rise above death (the idea of death finds no place in their heart) and all temptations. Their minds are ever filled with the realization of the Eternal Divine. They ever feel His presence within their heart. The Bhagtas or Devotees of innumerable worlds dwell there (reach that stage of life). They are ever immersed in unfathomable bliss, as they have realized the Divine within. They see the Divine reality, which is above all form, alignment or colour, pervading everywhere. He, the Eternal Reality creates the Universe. His benign presence ever revels in its glory. The various parts of the Earth, and the infinite other worlds with their solar systems, all find their place in the Omnipresent sphere of the One-in-All and the All-in-One. (His Sach-Khand – the sphere of Eternal Truth, is all embracing. The whole Creation is in Him, and He is in His Creation). This is the final goal, the fourth stage. In short, matter does not exist; the whole creation is the manifestation of the Divine thought. No one can describe them, as they are infinite. There are worlds beyond worlds and creations beyond creations. The whole system is governed by an Eternal Law. The Lord (Eternal Divine) dwells in His creation and revels in its glory. Sayeth Nanak no tongue can describe it. (The description is as hard as steel). --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sant-teja-singh-ji/message

By our own power, our speech cannot be forceful. By mere mortal effort we cannot acquire complete self- control. We may shut up our lips, but the mind will go on wandering. We cannot beg anything by force, nor can we give anything by force. No human power can control life and death. We cannot attain kingship or accumulate wealth with mere human force. The thoughts that surge in our minds for the attainment of these things can lead us nowhere. By constant and forceful study of Vedas and other Shastras we cannot attain self- realization the stage of at-one-ment. By mere human efforts on cannot attain freedom from attachment to the worldly things. The whole Universe is ruled by an Eternal Divine Law. Nothing worth attaining can be secured without a harmonious at-one-ment with this law, which can only be reached by devotional meditation on the Divine name and selfless service of mankind. Sayeth Nanak, verily no one can become high or low merely with his own human power. Anything that is acquired by mere physical effort, cannot lead to peace of mind and the ultimate good of society. For example, a king secures his kingship with mere physical force, and has not got a balanced state of mind to do justice to his subjects, his rule defeats its own purpose. Neither the king can have any peace of mind, nor the subjects a peaceful and happy life. This applies to all walks of life. The actions that spring spontaneously from a mind in unison with the universal Divine, bring oneself true joy and peace and shower happiness and bliss on all around; but those which merely spring from an egotistic effort always produce a jarring effect on one‟s life and the society around. Note: - Controlling one‟s mind with personal efforts is just like shutting up a snake in a casket. Whenever, by chance, the lid is removed the serpent jumps up and gives a deadly sting. On the other hand, if the mind is controlled by continuous meditation and prayer, a stage is reached when one rises above all desires and becomes the master of his passions. This is Sehj Awastha or Atampad (a balanced stage of mind filled with perennial bliss and joy) ever in communion with God and His nature and at-one with the Divine Law. Then all his actions, speech, giving and taking and the whole course of his life flows in a smooth and natural way in Unison with the Eternal Law governing his mind, and the whole universe --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sant-teja-singh-ji/message

The feeder – Vishnu. The destroyer – Shiva. These three carry on their work according to His will, and the Eternal Law controlling the creation. They are not the masters of their own will. But the wonder is that He can see and realize all that is going on in His universe, but He Himself is beyond the realization of these three (Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva). Therefore, let us rise above these three and bow down in complete devotion and humility to Him Who is the source of all matter and spirit. During that period of the Universe when everything was in flux and there was no created thing in existence, the idea came into the Eternal mind that I manifest myself into various forms. This thought (Mai) in conjunction with the Divine mind brought into being the three forces (Powers) that rule the world. (1) The creative (Brahma), (2) The feeding (Vishnu), (3) The destructive (Shiva). O Sidhs, we bow down in complete devotion and reverence to Him Who is ever existent, the source of all creation, ahs no colour and form, and is indestructible. If urine is spilt on a piece of cloth, and it gets fouled and is unfit for use in any kind of worship, then we rub it with soap and water, and free it from that impurity. In the same way the impressions of our sinful actions, which are made on our minds, can be washed away by meditating on the Divine name, with love and devotion. Righteousness and sinfulness are not mere names. They are the outcome of good or bad actions, which one does in the course of his daily life. Whatever action a man does, its impressions right or wrong, good or bad, are left on the mind. Just as we sow, so we reap. Thus sayeth Nanak we have to pass through the round of birth and rebirth under the Eternal Divine Law, without finding the haven of rest and peace. In this Pauri Satguru Nanak in a very simple and expressive manner, shows us the way of removing wrong and evil impressions from our minds, which are the result of our sinful actions in our daily lives and various births. In order to clean a dirty piece of linen, we rub it with water and soap. During this process all the hidden dirt in the fibres of the cloth comes to the surface. Then we immerse it in a vessel or pond of fresh water and wash away that dirt. By repeating this process several times, the dirty piece of linen becomes clean white. In the same way when we get up early in the morning and meditate on the Divine Name with fixed attention and love, the evil impressions hidden in our minds come to the surface. Then we pray to the Satguru, dirty as we are, we are yours; cleanse our minds from sinful impressions. This prayerful and humble mood washes away the evil impressions. The continuous daily meditation and prayer go on cleansing our minds; and a day comes when the evil cloud of selfishness is removed, and the Divine within the human heart shines forth in its full effulgence, rendering all our thoughts and actions pure and immaculate, and in complete unison with the Eternal Law governing the Universe. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sant-teja-singh-ji/message

In this Pauri Sat-Guru Nanak enumerates the various paths that were practiced by persons for attaining at-one-ment and peace of mind; and shows their inefficacy – By mere thinking and intellectual reasoning true wisdom (the realization of the Divine within) cannot be attained, though one goes on thinking millions of times. By merely keeping one‟s mouth shut and remaining tongue tied; one cannot restrain the mind from wandering in all directions, although one may maintain superficial silence for a very long time, like the heron or the cat watching for its prey. By mere fasting, one can not overcome the desire of indulging in the ephemeral pleasures of the taste and tongue; though moved by this fasting the world may bring to him all the rich dainties of the whole created universe. Thousands of intellectual flights cannot take one to the Realm of Truth (True wisdom of the realization of the Divine within). Q. Then how shall one be at-one with truth and how shall the veil of ignorance (selfishness, worship of flesh and blood) be removed? Ans. O searcher after Truth intune thyself with the Eternal Law which controls the whole universe, ever since its creation, and which is embedded in the very depths of the human soul. Note: - However much depraved a person may be, the still voice within warns him at every wrong step; but his confirmed habits of wrong actions carry him away. In the human stage of evolution every one gets the power of judging the right from the wrong. This power is engrained in every human soul. This innate power coupled with righteous actions and the company of God conscious persons who show the path of Divine Realization through meditation on the Divine name, intunes one with the infinite. One becomes at-one with the Divine Law. He submits to the Divine will under all circumstances and gets freedom from egoism. The sense of mine and thine, which forms the dark curtain of ignorance and is a bar to self-realization, is eradicated and a spiritual link established with all mankind and the created universe. Jap Ji Sahib is the essence of the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scriptures of the Sikhs. It deals with the main ideals which should guide a Gursikh, “A searcher after Truth”; under the directions of the Satguru. How can we realize the truth? This Pauri at first deals with the methods and practices generally in vogue but which do not lead to realization and peace. In the end Satguru Nanak gives his own method. Be at-one-with the Divine Law, innate in the human mind. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sant-teja-singh-ji/message

Dr. Fortin was a awarded a fellowship at Notre Dame University, in South Bend, Indiana and has spent the past nine months there engaged in research and writing while on sabbatical. Dr. Fortin earned Ph.D. from the Pontifical University of Santa Croce in Rome in 2008, his doctoral dissertation is entitled: “Fatherhood and the Perfection of the Masculine Identity: A Thomistic Account in Light of Contemporary Science.” Dr. Timothy Fortin also holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from the Institute for Psychological Sciences and a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the Catholic University of America. In this interview, Dr. Fortin shares his fascinating research and expertise with Dr. Mary Anne Urlakis, discussing both the natural and supernatural role of fatherhood to which each man is called. Dr. Fortin explores man’s natural inclination toward fatherhood, as well as the salience of the Thomistic teaching regarding Natural Law and Eternal Law with respect to the role of fatherhood. Dr. Fortin elucidates the generative power of the Cross, as well as the relational validity of espousal and sonship to fatherhood. Dr. Timothy Fortin and Dr. Mary Anne Urlakis consider how the call to the priesthood is ultimately reconciled with the natural and supernatural call to fatherhood which is planted deeply within each man’s heart. In closing, Dr. Fortin offers relevant conclusions for both the formator and seminarian.Dr. Timothy Fortin’s chapter, “Exigent Relations: Philosophical Reflections: on the Centrality of Fatherhood and Sonship,” is published in Spiritual Husbands- Spiritual Fathers: Priestly Formation for the 21st Century, edited by Bishop Felipe Estevez and Bishop Andrew Cozzens, published by Holy Apostles College and Seminary’s En Route Books and Media, which is available at: https://enroutebooksandmedia.com/spiritualhusbands/. An webinar lecture with Professor Torrance Kirby (McGill University), delivered August 11, 2020. Part of our summer webinar series on "Reason and Beauty in Renaissance Christian Thought and Culture," presented in collaboration with the American Cusanus Society Richard Hooker (1554-1600) was a preeminent theologian and philosopher of the Elizabethan Church. His seminal book, Of the Laws of Ecclesiastical Polity (1593), set out a path for Anglican theology that was distinct from both Puritan and Roman Catholic thought. In Book I, Hooker identifies Law with Holy Wisdom and his treatment echoes the sapiential books of Scripture, viz. Proverbs, Job, and the Wisdom of Solomon. Hooker also appeals to a hierarchical disposition of the species of law in the medieval scholastic conception of the ‘lex divinitatis', especially as formulated by Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite and later by Thomas Aquinas. For Hooker, the First Eternal Law concealed in the ‘Bosome of God' is unutterable, while its external emanation, the Second Eternal Law, is a ‘Voyce' whose utterance constitutes the beautiful ‘Harmony of the Worlde'. This distinction between two species of Eternal Law owes much to the ancient Neoplatonic metaphysics of Proclus. Both Hooker's sapiential theology and his invocation of the law of the ‘great chain' stand in creative tension with his professed adherence to doctrine expressed by the Elizabethan Articles of Religion (1571). In this webinar, Professor Torrance Kirby will examine the tension between Hooker's sources and his theology and will ask whether Hooker is successful in reconciling his legal metaphysics with his Reformed soteriology.

In spite of human prejudice to the contrary, there is but one religion and one truth, and all the great faiths of the world are parts or fragments of the Ancient Wisdom. The Scriptures of the world are the written records devised both to preserve and at the same time to conceal the secrets of the forty-nine branches of the Eternal Law. It naturally follows that there is a certain interdependence between religious writings. To understand any one sacred book completely it is necessary to also understand all other sacred books.   It has been difficult for human beings to accept this truth, and for lack of interreligious understanding there has been very little religious understanding. Each man, clinging to his own book, hugging to his heart his own fragment of the law, has believed that there is a peculiar virtue in proclaiming a part and denying the rest. Bibles, so-called, are collections of inspired writings and the recording of ancient oral traditions. They are accumulated over immense periods of time and can usually be traced to the lore of preceding civilizations.   Built up from earlier fragments, they should never be regarded as revelations in the sense of being delivered in toto to any individual by some divine being. The revelation factor is generally limited to interpretation—some illumined individual, contemplating sacred matters, perceives some deeply concealed value, and by placing special emphasis upon this new aspect comes to be regarded as a religious founder. Among ancient peoples, sacred writings were reserved for the contemplation of initiated priests and were not available to the laity.   The priests interpreted such parts of the Scriptures as applied to the problems of the occasion. The populace, gathered before the temple, received their spiritual instruction from initiates of the priestly orders who stood upon the porch of the holy house and solemnly expounded the laws. These priests were equipped with the keys to the Scriptural allegories by which they were enabled to unlock the profounder parts of the spiritual tradition. After the decline of the Mysteries, when the sacred books fell into the hands of the profane, the subtler values were lost.   The Vedas, the sacred books of the ancient Aryan Hindus, appear to be the oldest of Scriptural writings and the source of most of the sacred books now venerated throughout the world. The religious traditions of the ancient Hindus are of incredible antiquity. The traditions of these people indicate that the laws and institutes of the gods were revealed to the progenitors of the Aryans in the highlands of the Himalaya mountain country nearly a million years ago. The migration of the Aryan tribes, first southward and then westward, resulted in the establishment of several sub-races and cultures. The migrating tribes carried with them the sacred traditions of their ancient gods. With the development of writing, the records passed from the memories of priests and scribes to the more permanent and impersonal media of stone, clay and papyrus.   From the Vedas poured forth the streams of religious tradition which, flowing into various nations down through the ages, appear in the course of time as the single source of the numerous Scriptural writings of the world. Great saints and sages interpreting this ageless wisdom wrote their commentaries or re-stated in the terms of their own day the Vedic lore and the sacred tradition. In China, Lao-Tze and Confucius were the interpreters, and their writings have become Scripture. In India, Buddha was the great Emissary. In Persia, it was Zoroaster. In Egypt, Akhnaton and Hermes. In Greece, Orpheus, Pythagoras and Plato. In Syria, it was Moses, and later Jesus.Music By Mettaverse cellular regeneration 888hzascension waves 444hzroot chakra liberation from fear and guilt 396hzdissolve stress and tension 432hzcelestial voices 372hz   ➤ Listen on Soundcloud: http://bit.ly/2KjGlLI ➤ Follow them on Instagram: http://bit.ly/2JW8BU2 ➤ Join them on Facebook: http://bit.ly/2G1j7G6 ➤ Subscribe to their channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyvjffON2NoUvX5q_TgvVkw All My Neville Goddard Videos In One Playlist - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKv1KCSKwOo8kBZsJpp3xvkRwhbXuhg0M All my videos about Dr. Joseph Murphy - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKv1KCSKwOo_OtBhXg2s85UuZBT-OihF_ For coaching – https://www.advancedsuccessinstitute.com For all episodes of the Reality Revolution – https://www.therealityrevolution.com Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/RealityRevolutionPodcast/ Join our facebook group The Reality Revolution https://www.facebook.com/groups/403122083826082/ Subscribe to my Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOgXHr5S3oF0qetPfqxJfSw Contact us at media@advancedsuccessinsitute.com #lawofattraction #manlyphall #sacredwritings #totalhumanoptimization

Tao Te Ching Verse 16Attain the utmost in Passivity,Hold firm to the basis of Quietude. The myriad things take shape and rise to activity, But I watch them fall back to their repose.Like vegetation that luxuriantly grows But returns to the root (soil) from which it springs. To return to the root is Repose; It is called going back to one's Destiny.Going back to one's Destiny is to find the Eternal Law. To know the Eternal Law is Enlightenment. And not to know the Eternal Law Is to court disaster. He who knows the Eternal Law is tolerant;Being tolerant, he is impartial;Being impartial, he is kingly;Being kingly, he is in accord with Nature;Being in accord with Nature, he is in accord with Tao;Being in accord with Tao, he is eternal,And his whole life is preserved from harm.Photo by Filip Kominik on UnsplashPracticing ImmortalityI’m imagining being in bed now. I’m cozy, wrapped in blankets, and I’m just waking up from a good night’s sleep. I had pleasant dreams, and I have this feeling of freshness, newness. I’m already thinking. And my brain is already in motion. I’m thinking about a bunch of things, probably, and what my day’s going to look like.It seems to me that in that transition between the sleep and the waking state, I go from restfulness to an awareness of my self. Sort of like the transition between a yin energy state and a yang energy state. My conscious thoughts cycle between the manifest and the unmanifest state, don’t they?We just talked about how my form is going to change when this body dies. And we talked about how what’s left is this unchanging part of me that is the Tao.So if we put these two ideas together - that our no-self and our self is always going back and forth always changing - we can observe that since forms are always in motion, there must be a still part of things - just like the sound underneath the sounds! So my life force is the force underneath my life. Like the Tao, it’s always been there or been not-there, however you like. And if it’s always been there, it will always be there as a part of the Tao. By practicing awareness of this aspect of ourselves, we can actually practice immortality. Immortality doesn’t mean that my body won’t age, of course not. Immortality means that I, as a life force, an essence, will continue on forever, with the Eternal Tao.It will continue, regardless. But I may risk losing this awareness if I come out of stillness and engage with my thoughts, others and their thoughts, and so on. If I start taking things too seriously again, I, as Lao Tzu puts it, do not know the Eternal Law and therefore court disaster. So it seems I have a choice, don’t I? I may set aside stillness because it seems uninteresting or unimportant. I can get caught up in things that seems to have value, things that feel good. I get caught up in the corporeal senses and lose my Inner Vision, as we discussed in verse 12.So when we say that pleasing the senses isn’t really the point of it all, we look to this verse to realize that the point is unity with the Tao, for that’s what’s really important - mostly because it is more real than what we experience when we’re not still. If I can allow that sense of separation to abate by becoming still, I allow my ego to die daily. And in so doing, I am returning to Source - I am the Tao - I am Eternal.

Bishop Robert Barron’s Sermons - Catholic Preaching and Homilies

During the twentieth century, moral relativism was in vogue in elite cultural circles, but now it is the dominant moral outlook of the broader culture. Against this, C.S. Lewis argued for “the universality and inescapability of the moral law.” Although there are subtle moral differences between cultures, if we look close enough, we can discern fundamental moral agreements. The Catholic tradition says that this moral bedrock is a reflection of the Eternal Law in the mind of God. It is the voice of God within us. Listen to that voice.

In this episode we discuss paragraph 17. We talk about the Divine Positive Law as a way of knowing truth. The Divine Positive Law is that part of God’s Eternal Law that covers revealed. Liberals from time to time accept some of the Natural Law (reason) but refuse to accept Divine Law. We also discuss how revelation is Morally Necessary, according to Fr. Garrigou-Lagrange. Our discourse on paragraph 18 focuses on Leo’s treatment of the “separation of Church and State” fallacy. So-called pro-choice politicians who are “personally” pro-life are given as examples. Leo said that those who are in authority owe it to the commonwealth to “consult the welfare of men's souls in the wisdom of their legislation.” Rob eloquently gives some of the roots of this idea of the state not paying heed to the Church’s wisdom when he discussed Martin Luther’s heresies. Luther taught that there is an invisible church, and “Between the Christian and the ruler, a profound separation must be made” and “Assuredly, a prince can be a Christian, but it is not as a Christian that he ought to govern.” http://www.papalencyclicals.net/Leo13/l13liber.htm
