Here's this week's LoL Friday Short! Members of the Michigan Republican "Freedom Caucus" in the State House introduced a resolution to censure House Speaker Joe Tate. Tate, who became the state's first Black House Speaker last year, stripped state Rep. Josh Shriver of his committee assignments and staff after he re-posted tweets pushing the white supremacist "Great Replacement Theory." These right wing Freedom Caucus fellows argue it was wrong for Tate to punish Shriver, but they went further, claiming Tate's the actual racist because he championed some $10-million in spending for minority-owned small businesses and nonprofits. The so-called party of "personal responsibility" is mad about being called racists after being exposed as racists! The January 6 Committee subpoenas 14 Republicans, as sources tell CNN that Trump campaign officials led by Rudy Giuliani, oversaw a fake elector plot to overturn the 2020 election results. In a shocking abuse of democracy, fake elector certificates were signed, sealed and delivered to the National Archives. So, who was ultimately behind the scheme to replace the legitimate electors? In another step closer to the truth, Trump's former Deputy White Press Secretary is subpoenaed by the January 6 Committee. With Democrats on the ropes following the election defeats in Virginia plus Joe Biden's continuing poor job performance, some House Republicans threw the Democrats a lifeline by helping Nancy Pelosi push the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill across the finish line. Far-left Democrats like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez voted against the bill, and it would have failed to pass in the U.S. House, except for the fact that Adam Kinzinger and twelve other Republicans voted in favor of the legislation. This gave the Democrats a win and needlessly killed the GOP momentum that is sweeping the country. #BobbyEberle #AdamKinzinger #InfrastructureVote

Shawn is back with his newest commentary on the potential split of the GOP. Members of the Republican Party want to break away from the Trump ideals that put America first and form their own party as an act of protest...but is this split a GOOD thing? These RINOs don't care about America nearly as much as they care about being a part of the “in crowd” at the globalist table...so the party is better off without them. If liberty and the American way of life aren't a priority for these GOP members, the best thing for them to do is leave. The current state of the Republican party puts THESE two things first above all.

THE DEMOCRATS ENDLESS WAR AGAINST TRUMP CONTINUES!
For the second time, the House has voted to impeached President Trump - which means House Speaker Nancy Pelosi now has presided over one-half of Presidential impeachments in American history. Ten Republicans turned on Trump and joined the fray for the Democrats. What precedent does this set going forward for future Presidents, especially Democratic Commanders in Chief with a Republican-controlled House?
As many of you have undoubtedly heard just last week there was a failed attempt at an insurrection by white supremacists at the Capitol in the United States. This call to arms was led by outgoing US president and disgrace of a human being Donald Trump who has spent the last four years reinventing the notion of what a piece of shit is. Famed Republican (lite) and our childhood hero Arnold Schwarzenegger (Schwartzy) decided to weigh in on the issue releasing a well produced and compelling rebuke that harkens back to a "simpler" time when deep partisanship could be put away in the service of a common good. The video's message, like Schwartzy himself, comes off as fairly idealistic and naive, but provokes a stimulating conversation that ranges from American politics to attempts at deeper sociological themes with the brothers. On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, this program has maintained that it's crucial for the American people to know the identity and background of the so-called whistleblower. Several publications have cited a CIA employee, Eric Caiaramella, with ties to President Obama, Joe Biden, John Brennan and the Democrat Party, including an operative from Ukraine who dug up dirt on Trump in 2016. According to Paul Sperry of Real Clear Investigations, a former CIA Analyst assigned to the White House until he circumvented the chain of command regarding meetings that President Trump had and was suspected of leaking them prior to his departure from the National Security Council. Media reports indicate that GOP Members have questioned whether Ciaramella was involved with Lt Col. Vindman and lawyers for the Democrats indicated that Ciaramella was of no consequence. What we're witnessing are Stalinesque tactics to take down the President, and cover up the cabal of those involved. The beauty of our litigation practice, not the circus the Democrats are conducting, is that the accused have a right to defend themselves, a right to question their accuser and a right to their records and evidence. That's why the Democrats are changing the rules. As part of the 2016 investigation, it should be determined if there were any violations of the Espionage Act and the so-called whistleblower should be questioned by US Attorney Durham. On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, Sen. Linsdey Graham has stepped up and made the case to hold the House accountable for not voting on opening an actual impeachment inquiry with an actual vote. Graham calls in to discuss his Senate Resolution condemning the House of Representatives. Then, NBC News reports that Hunter Biden's legal work in Romania may have been ethically problematic. It seems that Hunter Biden was paid again by foreigners for his alleged expertise in Romanian law. Surprisingly, there have been no requests for Hunter to testify in front of any congressional committees. Later, Democrats cry foul about GOP Members of the house-entering their secure interrogation even though they immediately relinquished their cell phones upon entering. What's worse is that despite the transcripts of these deficient testimonies being released at some eventual point, the damage to due process has already occurred. Also, Elizabeth Warren must be investigated in a quid pro quo for the statement that "everything is on the table" regarding her foreign policy proposals regarding a "two-state" solution for Israel. Afterward, former NFL player and actor Fred Dryer and Lisa Riggins calls in to discuss the NFL’s 2020 collective bargaining agreement and ensure pension parity for pre-1993 players. A standoff persists between Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul and Republican members of the Joint Finance committee. Kaul said last week he would not join a multi-state settlement with OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma for its role in the nation's deadly opioid epidemic. He says he'll continue to pursue Wisconsin's case against the company, which is now filing for bankruptcy. Under the lame-duck laws the Republican-controlled Legislature passed last year, Kaul has to get permission from the GOP-controlled Joint Finance committee to settle lawsuits. He recently asked members to sign confidentiality agreements to discuss cases, but they refused. Now the two sides are at an impasse. In this week's Capitol Notes conversation, JR Ross of WisPolitics.com tells WUWM's Marti Mikkelson that hundreds of millions of dollars in lawsuit settlement money could be at stake. And, the OxyContin settlement is at the center of the gridlock.

Arlene Bynon and John LeBoutillier analyze the effects of the first GOP Member of Congress - Rep. Justin Amash - to advocate the impeachment of Donald Trump. Is Congressman Amash alone in his thinking or is he echoing what he hears in the GOP Cloakroom? Will more GOP Members follow his lead? Is there a sense of exhaustion now creeping into the Trump presidency? Is some of the steam even coming out of his base?
Well, it's Friday so time for our panel!President Trump and congressional leaders failed again today to break a deadlock that has kept the government partially shut down for two weeks; McConnell is facing pressure from Republicans to stop avoiding a shutdown; China's economy continues to slow. What's the impact of these stories going forward? Trump held a press conference today and was dismissive of the federal workers impacted by this shutdown. Also, Nancy Pelosi is elected speaker as Democrats take control of House. Democrats then moved to defy President Trump and passed bills that would open government agencies shuttered by an impasse over his insistence on funding for a border wall. What's going on with this newest wave of divided government in the US?Senator Cory Gardner of Colorado, broke ranks to become the first member of his party to call for an end to the shutdown — with or without Mr. Trump's wall funding. Senator Susan Collins of Maine, one of the chamber's most moderate members, said Thursday that she would support separating homeland security funding from the other bipartisan appropriations bills already approved in committee to reopen much of the government. Weakening domestic demand and the ongoing trade war with the U.S. have dealt a double whammy to the Chinese economy. A lot of folks are talking about Apple but here are three other interesting data points. Starbucks Stock - China is the centerpiece of the coffee giant's expansion plans going forward. Last May, Starbucks said it planned to ramp up store openings to 600 annually, with a view to having 6,000 cafes in the country. But last month the company said same-store sales growth in China could be as low as 1% in the long term. This figure is well below the 3%-4% growth seen for the U.S. and the rest of the world. Apple's cut in its sales forecast was blamed almost entirely on the economic slowdown in China, but the real picture is probably far more complex, with high prices, cultural differences, fierce competition and consumers keeping their phones for longer all causing problems.GUESTS: Tom Porter — African American Studies Department at Ohio University and former director of the King Center in Atlanta.Colin Campbell — Ph.D. student in the Department of Communication, Culture and Media Studies at Howard University's School of Communication. Continually across this country we are witnessing a dramatic shift in our social, economic, and political atmosphere. GOP Members of Congress, Presidential candidates, and State Legislatures, have all proclaimed “A War on Civil Rights.” Indiana, Arkansas, and many other GOP controlled states are using religion to segregate and discriminate against those they hate. It’s a “21st Century Lifestyle, but A 19th Century Mentality.” How will Americans challenge this rebirth of unbalanced ideology? Arkansas State Senator Linda Chesterfield and Indiana State Representative John Bartlett join me.
