if you have any feedback, please send us a text! Thank you! When Congress celebrated July 4 by enacting House Resolution 1 (known as H.R. 1 or the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”), experts warned of massive impacts on Medicaid programs nationwide and the more than 70 million people who rely on them.H.R. 1 cut nearly $1 trillion from Medicaid, the largest funding reduction in the program's 60-year history. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates that by 2034, as many as 10 million individuals nationwide will become uninsured as numerous new eligibility rules are imposed in Medicaid and ACA programs. The Medicaid program, known as Medi-Cal in California, covers more than half of the state's children, 2.2 million seniors and people with disabilities, 1 in 5 working Californians, and millions of other people with low incomes. H.R. 1 is expected to cut $30 billion a year in federal funding from Medi-Cal, reducing overall access to care and possibly pushing some safety net providers into dire straits, according to the California Budget and Policy Center. Up to 3.4 million state residents could lose coverage, the center said. As the uninsured population rises, more medical bills will go unpaid, cutting revenue for California's health care safety net.Join my guests today who will explain the impact this will have on rural healthcare in California and the effect on anesthesiology services. Charley Yan is a fourth-year medical student at UC Davis with a background in Medicaid policy. It's Friday, March 27th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Finnish lawmaker convicted over speaking truth about homosexuality In a narrow 3–2 decision, the Finnish Supreme Court has found parliamentarian Päivi Räsänen guilty of so-called “hate speech” for simply affirming a Biblical understanding of marriage and sexual ethics in a 20-year-old church pamphlet, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Räsänen has been criminally convicted for publishing the 2004 pamphlet for her church, alongside Lutheran Bishop Juhana Pohjola. The conviction is for “making and keeping available to the public a text that insults a group.” She said, “I am shocked and profoundly disappointed that the court has failed to recognize my basic human right to freedom of expression. I stand by the teachings of my Christian faith, and will continue to defend my [right] and every person's right to share their convictions in the public square.” The Finish Supreme Court has imposed criminal fines of several thousand Euros and ruled that the impugned statements must be “removed from public access and destroyed.”   Päivi Räsänen has served as a member of the Finnish Parliament since 1995, and was Minister of the Interior from 2011-2015. She is a medical doctor, mother of five children, and has twelve grandchildren. In a related development, the Finish Supreme Court unanimously acquitted Räsänen for her 2019 Bible verse tweet. Canada's House criminalizes quoting Bible Religious expression is under attack in Canada as well. The majority of Canadian Members of Parliament voted to pass a leftist bill that will criminalize the quotation of Bible verses on homosexual behavior and gender, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Early Wednesday evening, in a 186–137 vote, they passed Bill C-9, which is misnamed the “Combatting Hate Act.” Members of Parliament from the Conservative Party, New Democratic Party, and the Green Party voted against the bill in a rare form of unity among the usually opposing parties. The bill now heads to Canada's rubber-stamp Senate for review. David Cooke with the Campaign Life Coalition said, “With the passage of Bill C-9 in the [Canadian] House, Christians and pro-life advocates will almost certainly face an entirely new level of hostility, as the door swings open to actual persecution under a cloak of supposed legality.” The 186 foolish Members of the Canadian Parliament who voted to criminalize citing Bible verses about sexual perversion would no doubt object to my citation of Leviticus 18:22. It says, “Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.” Trump postpones strikes on Iranian energy plants until April 6 On Thursday, President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that the United States will extend the pause on strikes on Iranian energy plants by an additional 10 days, at the request of the Iranian government, reports CBS News.   On Monday, the president announced a five-day pause on strikes on Iran's energy infrastructure in order to negotiate with Iran. The president said he's extending that pause to the evening of April 7 local time in Tehran.  Trump to sign order to pay TSA agents President Donald Trump plans to sign an order that will pay Transportation Security Administration agents, who have not received a check since the Department of Homeland Security entered a partial shutdown in mid-February, reports The Epoch Times. In a March 26th Truth Social post, he wrote, “I am going to sign an Order instructing the Secretary of Homeland Security, Markwayne Mullin, to immediately pay our TSA Agents in order to address this Emergency Situation, and to quickly stop the Democrat Chaos at the Airports.” More than 3,120 TSA agents, who have not been paid in weeks, called in sick on Wednesday, which prompted long lines to continue at airports across the country. Pennsylvania Democrats have egg on their faces And finally, Pennsylvania House Democrats withdrew consideration of a resolution honoring March as "National Women's Month" after a Republican lawmaker filed an amendment to include the physiological definition of "woman" in the text, report Fox News. What was expected to be a quick, symbolic vote turned into a brief but telling floor moment.  Listen how the Republicans forced the question into the open and Democrats opted to shelve the resolution rather than define what a "woman" is in legislation — leading to an eruption of laughter on the House floor. Democratic House Speaker Joanna McClinton was bringing a rapid-fire succession of bills up for consideration late in Tuesday's session when she asked the clerk to introduce House Resolution 390. McCLINTON: “The Chair recognizes the Majority Leader who calls up House Resolution on page eight of today's House calendar. The clerk will read a summary of the resolution.” CLERK: “A resolution recognizing the month of March 2026, as Women's History Month in Pennsylvania, introduced by Representative Carol Hill-Evans.” McCLINTON: “[Republican] Representative [Aaron] Bernstine offers A02716. Will the House agree to the amendment? On that question, the Chair recognizes the gentleman from Lawrence, maker of the amendment. Representative Bernstein.” BERNSTINE: “Thank you, Madam Speaker. Madam Speaker, this amendment is very straightforward and clear. It defines what a woman actually is, because we do know what that is. Thank you.” What happened next was stunning!  During 30 seconds of silence, Democrats quietly considered the fact that they had been painted into a corner. If they defined what a woman was in order for the proposed Women's History Month to be considered, they would alienate their leftist base which has swallowed the woke transgender agenda -- hook, line and sinker. Put bluntly, Democrats believe that a man, pretending to be a woman, is a woman! There was movement at the dais. So, this is what House Majority Leader Joanna McClinton declared. McCLINTON: “The resolution is temporarily over.” (Republicans laugh out loud on the Pennsylvania House floor) You can hear the Republicans laughing out loud at the utter foolishness of the hypocritical Democrats who want to look like they are championing women but oddly cannot even agree with the biological definition of what a woman is. McClinton immediately turned to the clerk to read the next piece of legislation. In an interview Wednesday, GOP Rep. Bernstine defended his amendment as a common sense measure, saying that defining a woman as having XX chromosomes should not be controversial. The Republican said, "They pulled [the Women's History Month] because they were scared to define what a woman actually is." Jason Gottesman, spokesman for the House Republican Caucus, further told Fox News that "if Democrats want to celebrate what they refuse to define, it is clear they do not take this issue seriously." In Matthew 19:4, Jesus asked, “Haven't you read, that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female?'” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, March 27th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. Oregon's 2026 Legislative Session concluded on Friday, March 6. Capped at a maximum of 35 days, these “short sessions” held in even-numbered years are intended to serve as a clean-up opportunity for making small tweaks to budgets and technical fixes to policies. Despite that, more than 300 bills were introduced this session - 62 of which could have potentially affected students and schools. A big question heading into the session was whether mid-year cuts to K-12 education would be announced. Primary reasons for this were the anticipated effects of federal income tax cuts on Oregon's income tax collections and ongoing economic uncertainty. Shortly after the session began, however, lawmakers received the March Economic and Revenue Forecast, which showed Oregon's financial position had improved from December's quarterly forecast. Contributors to this improved position were a higher than projected ending fund balance for the 2023-25 biennium and stronger than anticipated Corporate Income Tax collections. While the state's net available resources for the 2025-27 biennium are still down $283.2 million from the close of session forecast in June of 2025, the currently projected ending fund balance is back in the positive at $197.9 million. During their session, legislators passed Senate Bill 1507 to partially disconnect Oregon's tax code from the federal tax code. Specifically, this was done in response to the passage of federal House Resolution 1 last summer, which included several tax breaks that were estimated to result in a loss in state tax revenue of nearly $900 million. Senate Bill 1507 aims to protect $300 million or more of that revenue by limiting deductions for bonus depreciation, car loan interest, and stock sales.Likely because of the favorable revenue forecast, passage of SB 1507, and strong advocacy efforts from education supporters, elected officials did not require any mid-year cuts to education. This is welcome news for K-12 districts, many of which are already gearing up for reductions to their 2026-27 budgets. Kevin issued an Independent Report to the Bank of England proposing reforms in the conduct of Monetary Policy in the United Kingdom. Parliament adopted the Report’s recommendations. Kevin Warsh became the youngest Fed Governor, ever, at 35, and served as a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System from 2006 until 2011, as the Federal Reserve’s Representative to the Group of Twenty (G-20), and as the Board’s Emissary to the Emerging and Advanced Economies in Asia. In addition, he was Administrative Governor, managing and overseeing the Board’s operations, personnel, and financial performance. Prior to his appointment to the Board, from 2002 until 2006, Kevin served as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, and Executive Secretary of the White House National Economic Council. Previously, Kevin was a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Department at Morgan Stanley & Co., in New York, serving as Vice President and Executive Director. I have known Kevin for a long period of time, and have no doubt that he will go down as one of the GREAT Fed Chairmen, maybe the best. On top of everything else, he is “central casting,” and he will never let you down. Congratulations Kevin! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP Warsh has compared Bitcoin favorably to gold as a “sustainable store of value,” indicating a positive view of gold’s role in the financial system.  However, his nomination led to sharp declines in gold and silver prices (e.g., silver fell up to 26% in one day), as markets interpreted him as an inflation hawk who might pursue tighter monetary policy, reducing the appeal of precious metals as inflation hedges.  This reaction stemmed from fears of less dovish Fed actions, which had previously driven gold’s rally amid uncertainty over Fed independence.  Warsh’s broader hawkish stance on inflation aligns with “hard money” principles that could indirectly support gold, but his emphasis on shrinking the Fed’s balance sheet and normalizing policy suggests he prioritizes institutional reform over promoting gold as a standard. Is Kevin Warsh Pro-Sound Money?Yes, Warsh is a strong advocate for sound money principles, emphasizing disciplined, anti-inflationary monetary policy. He views inflation as a “monetary phenomenon” and “a choice” driven by excessive government printing and spending.  As a former Fed Governor, he was often the most hawkish voice, opposing aggressive rate cuts during crises due to inflation risks.  He criticizes the Fed’s “mission creep,” oversized balance sheet, and reliance on quantitative easing (QE), arguing these enable fiscal irresponsibility and distort markets. Warsh calls for “regime change” at the Fed, shifting away from Keynesian models toward rules-based policy that incorporates money supply considerations and reduces interventionism. He stresses credibility, clear rules, and accountability to maintain sound money.   In a 2025 Hoover Institution paper, he advocated scrutinizing monetary policy under a framework that could include constitutional measures for prosperity and idea diffusion. Warsh has been vocal against Powell’s leadership, echoing Trump’s frustrations with high interest rates and calling for “regime change” at the Fed. He has moderated his hawkish stance to support lower rates, arguing AI-driven productivity allows growth without inflation. Credibility and Market Reassurance: Warsh is seen as a “traditional” pick with Fed experience, reassuring investors amid fears of a loyalist appointment that could undermine independence. Trump highlighted Warsh’s ability to deliver lower rates and growth, though some economists note Warsh’s independence could lead to tensions if he prioritizes data over demands. Analysts suggest the pick balances Trump’s desire for cuts with a credible figure. The administration has filed suit against an illegal migrant living in Virginia, and is seeking $941,114 plus interest, alleging that Marta Alicia Ramirez Veliz has remained in the country despite being told her request for admittance was rejected by a Justice Department appeals panel in 2022, Politico reported. The filing notes that Veliz has refused to pay a $998 per-day fine for the 943 days since she was told to return to her home country, and reveals that Immigration and Customs Enforcement sent her an official notice of her total fine in April. The lawsuit describes Veliz as “an individual and noncitizen residing in Chesterfield County, Virginia,” and does not identify her nationality. source: breitbart.com https://twitter.com/KanekoaTheGreat/status/2017404446230323358?s=20 BREAKING: Disturbing photos in the Epstein files appear to show Prince Andrew on all fours over a woman lying on the ground. https://twitter.com/HansMahncke/status/2017792445979791448?s=20   for everyone, or is connected through some opaque web of professional and personal ties. At the time, Nikolic was Gates's top scientific investment advisor. The emails suggest Gates was firing Nikolic in response to marital problems with Melinda. In June 2013, Nikolic emailed Gates and asked if he wanted to go to the “legendary Crazy Horse in Paris” an erotic show, while they were in France. Gates declined, saying he would be too tired and didn't want to take the risk, adding that he might have done it when he was younger. On July 1, 2013, Gates emailed Nikolic: “We should meet on Wednesday to discuss your job. There is going to have to be a transition. I feel very bad about it but I don’t see a way around it.” Nikolic shared these emails with Epstein. Epstein later commented on the Paris erotic show email, writing: “This is pretty bad and might have been the cause of her bad mail in paris.”—apparently referring to Melinda. Nikolic appeared unhappy about being fired while potentially being used as a scapegoat, and he sought greater financial compensation as he prepared to leave and launch his own investment fund. In these emails, Epstein—writing as Nikolic—references alleged knowledge of Gates's extramarital affairs, STDs allegedly contracted from Russian women, and drug use as justification for why Nikolic deserved more money. Taken together, it appears Jeffrey Epstein was drafting or shaping a message for Boris Nikolic that effectively functioned as blackmail, pressuring Bill Gates for financial compensation. It remains unclear whether Nikolic ultimately sent these messages to Gates. However, later emails suggest Gates helped Nikolic launch his next investment fund and maintained a working relationship with him afterward. Epstein later listed Nikolic as a backup executor of his will, indicating the two were close confidants. https://twitter.com/Breaking911/status/2017769194159210784?s=20 Billionaire Reid Hoffman, Who Bankrolled the E. To muddy the waters is an idiom that means to make a situation, issue, or discussion more confusing, unclear, or complicated—often deliberately. For example: “The politician’s vague statements only muddied the waters during the debate.” It originates from the idea of stirring up mud in water, making it murky and hard to see through. DOGE Geopolitical War/Peace Iran Hits Back At EU: Designates European Armies As ‘Terrorist Entities’ Iran is saying two can play at the West’s game: on Friday the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council blasted the EU’s decision to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a “terrorist organization,” warning that Europe’s own militaries would now be viewed through the same lens. “The European Union certainly knows that… the armies of countries that have participated in the European Union’s recent resolution against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps are considered terrorist entities,” Ali Larijani wrote in a post on X. He added bluntly: “Therefore, the consequences of that shall be borne by the European countries that undertook such an action.” However, there’s probably nothing in the way of European military assets for the Islamic Republic to sanction, so this ‘action’ by Tehran will remain largely symbolic. Iran does have assets held in various places of Europe though. Waters was seen pulling up to the scene early in the day in a black SUV before stepping out to rally her troops, flailing her arms and leading chants of “ICE Out of LA.” Source: thegatewaypundit.com https://twitter.com/DOGEai_tx/status/2017736355665641700?s=20   Martinez's gang alliance pitch isn't just reckless; it's a calculated distraction from ICE's indiscriminate sweeps that tear families apart over paperwork. Republicans, don't let these Crooked Democrats, who are stealing Billions of Dollars from Minnesota, and other Cities and States from all over the Country, push you around. They are using this aggressive protest SCAM to obfuscate, camouflage, and hide their CRIMINAL ACTS of theft and insurrection. They should all be in jail. I was elected on Strong Borders, and Law and Order, among many other things. Thank you to Secretary Kristi Noem. Remember, ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!!! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP     Federal Government Property. There will be no spitting in the faces of our Officers, there will be no punching or kicking the headlights of our cars, and there will be no rock or brick throwing at our vehicles, or at our Patriot Warriors. If there is, those people will suffer an equal, or more, consequence. In the meantime, by copy of this Statement, I am informing Local Governments, as I did in Los Angeles when they were rioting at the end of the Biden Term, that you must protect your own State and Local Property. In addition, it is your obligation to also protect our Federal Property, Buildings, Parks, and everything else. We are there to protect Federal Property, only as a back up, in that it is Local and State Responsibility to do so. Last night in Eugene, Oregon, these criminals broke into a Federal Building, and did great damage, also scaring and harassing the hardworking employees. Local Police did nothing in order to stop it. We will not let that happen anymore! If Local Governments are unable to handle the Insurrectionists, Agitators, and Anarchists, we will immediately go to the location where such help is requested, and take care of the situation very easily and methodically, just as we did the Los Angeles Riots one year ago, where the Police Chief said that, “We couldn't have done it without the help of the Federal Government.” Therefore, to all complaining Local Governments, Governors, and Mayors, let us know when you are ready, and we will be there — But, before we do so, you must use the word, “PLEASE.” Remember that I stated, in the strongest of language, to BEWARE — ICE, Border Patrol or, if necessary, our Military, will be extremely powerful and tough in the protection of our Federal Property. We will not allow our Courthouses, Federal Buildings, or anything else under our protection, to be damaged in any way, shape, or form. I was elected on a Policy of Border Control (which has now been perfected!), National Security, and LAW AND ORDER — That's what America wants, and that's what America is getting! Thank you for your attention to this matter.   PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP he will use DHS/ICE and, if necessary, the US MIL to protect federal property. It sounds like Trump knows something is coming. It sounds like the Dems want DHS/ICE to get caught up in policing these riots, hoping more of their deranged followers take it too far and get shot. Trump is instead going to hold and force local Democrat politicians to police their own riots, or agree to work with him. And if the Dems choose to not police these riots, they will force Trump to use the US MIL to suppress the chaos. https://twitter.com/unseen1_unseen/status/2017334056292143173?s=20 https://twitter.com/StephenM/status/2017585812599087241?s=20   EXCLUSIVE: Atlanta Field Office Special Agent in Charge Allegedly Removed For Slow-Walking Election Fraud Investigation  Reports are emerging on social media that Paul Brown, the FBI Special Agent in Charge at the Atlanta Field Office, was “forced out of that job earlier this month,” according to MSNOW's Ken Dilanian. OA1226 - We begin with a review of the unprecedented lawsuit that Minnesota has filed against ICE with the extreme leftist radical demand that they obey the law and U.S. Constitution. How much power do states have to limit federal operations, and what are the chances a court order might put some guardrails on the largest enforcement operation in ICE history? We then consider the legal and political merits of articles of impeachment filed against Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem. Finally: we honor the passing of civil rights hero Claudette Colvin, whose bravery as a 15-year-old on a Montgomery, Alabama bus nine months before Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat put the final nail into the “separate but equal” justification for racial segregation established by the Supreme Court in Plessy v. In this episode of the EMS One-Stop podcast, host Rob Lawrence revisits an issue close to the heart of every EMS professional: creating a permanent National EMS Memorial in Washington, D.C. Rob is joined by Tony O'Brien and James Robinson from the National EMS Memorial Foundation to provide a clear, candid update on where the project stands, why it matters, and what still needs to be done. From the Weekend of Remembrance to the dream of a year-round place of solace and reverence in the nation's capital, this conversation lays out the long road from idea to reality — and why EMS, as James puts it, truly deserves this. Tony and James walk listeners through the 24-step federal Commemorative Works Act process, the hard work of narrowing 312 potential sites down to three, and the current push to reauthorize the Foundation's federal authority through House Resolution 2196 and Senate Bill 2546. They explain the preferred site in front of the Hubert H. Humphrey Building (HHS), the partnership with MIT's School of Architecture and Urban Risk Lab on a powerful design, and the practical realities of funding, sponsorship and bureaucracy. Most importantly, they end with a clear call to action for the EMS community: contact your elected officials, donate what you can, and help spread the word so that a permanent memorial to EMS can finally take its place in Washington, D.C. Welcome back to the EPPiC Broadcast! Matt explains how this legislation would strengthen parental rights at the federal level by applying the strict scrutiny standard to any government action that interferes with those rights, giving parents the same high level of legal protection afforded to other fundamental freedoms. Matt also shares how this bill complements the proposed Parental Rights Amendment, why bipartisan support is essential, and what listeners can do to help move this legislation forward. If you'd like to support this effort, contact your senator or representatives today and urge them to cosponsor the Family Rights and Responsibilities Act, Senate Bill 204 led by Senator Tim Scott, and House Resolution 650 led by Representative Virginia Foxx. The EPPiC broadcast is hosted by Michael Ramey, president of the Parental Rights Foundation. On episode 98 of Native Land Pod, hosts Tiffany Cross, Angela Rye, and Andrew Gillum address the selective application of the first amendment, the right to free speech. Our first guest, Karen Attiah, was (until recently) an op-ed writer for the Washington Post. She was fired last week after writing a post on social media that said she wasn’t going to mourn Charlie Kirk, a white man who promoted violence and vitriol. She did not celebrate his death or condone political violence. The Washington Post fired her for having a hot take, which is LITERALLY HER JOB as an opinion writer. Our second guest is a White House Correspondent for AURN (American Urban Radio Networks), Ebony McMorris. In a viral clip, Trump refused to answer a question from Ebony during a press Q&A, and repeatedly insisted that she was “obnoxious,” reminiscent of previous incidents with Black female reporters like Yamish Alcindor, who seem to trigger the president simply by existing. Is this what the first amendment looks like for Black women? One of you submitted a question about Jimmy Kimmel which ties nicely into our theme today, and tied to all of it is the sanctification of the life of racist rightwing commentator, Charlie Kirk. There was a House Resolution honoring Kirk that passed this week which many Democratic lawmakers voted “yes” on, including those in deep blue districts. Representative Jasmine Crockett noted that there were only two white Democratic representatives who voted “no.” Is this the return of the Dixiecrats? (The Center Square) – The Illinois Freedom Caucus has filed articles of impeachment against Gov. J.B. Pritzker for what it says is his engaging in conduct that constitutes inciting violence. Part of the impeachment resolution in House Resolution 466 that the Illinois Freedom Caucus filed includes quotes from Pritzker's State of the State speech on Feb. 19 where he characterized the Trump administration as using an authoritarian playbook. “If you think I'm overreacting and sounding the alarm too soon, consider this: It took the Nazis one month, three weeks, two days, eight hours and 40 minutes to dismantle a constitutional republic,” Pritzker said earlier this year. The resolution says Pritzker “has issued inflammatory statements that incite violence against elected officials, citizens, and persons located in the United States and has failed to uphold the constitutional requirement to faithfully execute the laws of the State of Illinois.” Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. David Waldman is back to tell it like it is and was. Eee-Ew! The Jeffrey Epstein birthday book has been released, the Trump-Epstein birthday letter has been revealed, and it's real, it's bad, and it sure is icky, much like many of its participants. Donald was certain that we all agreed the issue killed itself in its cell and was long gone and buried by now, but apparently that isn't the case. The Trump Supreme Court lifted restrictions on roving patrols and racial profiling on immigration stops, but you better believe they weren't talking about people wearing lederhosen and alpine hats. The Supreme Court also allowed Trump to fire the FTC commissioner, which of course goes against precedent. It would go against precedent to shut the whole place down and walk away, but here we are. Gops take their tit for tat for tit with Dems to Defcon 2 on Monday. Chuck Schumer tells them they might rue the day that they go Defcon 1… RUE He tells ya! Want to know more about “Discharge Petition No. 9”? Discharge procedure in the House? The travails and tribulations of House Resolution 581? Don't ask me! David knows about all that stuff. One thing that David did not know is that Missouri Democrats are holding a sit-in to protest a special session to redraw their congressional map. Now we all do!

It's Monday, August 4th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Cuban pastor harassed Cuban pastor Maikel Velázquez vanished about 14 hours after delivering epilepsy medication to a friend's granddaughter on July 9th in the island country, reports International Christian Concern. Velázquez delivered the medicine to the granddaughter of Marta Benites, whose sons were imprisoned for participating in a peaceful protest in July 2021 in San José de las Lajas, Mayabeque. Immediately after the delivery, Velázquez was abruptly barred from entering the Benites home. Moments after completing a phone call with another pastor, he disappeared. His phone was instantly switched off, severing all contact. Pastors from the Alliance of Christians of Cuba launched a search for Velázquez, combing hospitals, detention centers, and police stations — yet their efforts yielded no clue to his whereabouts. At around 2:00 a.m. on July 10th, Velázquez was discovered outside his home, clearly shaken after enduring a traumatic interrogation and serious threats. When questioned, he would not disclose details of the incident and behaved erratically, sometimes yelling and at other times falling eerily silent. Pastor Velázquez's abduction is only the most recent in a string of alarming cases of pastoral harassment in Cuba. In John 15:18, Jesus said, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first.” According to Open Doors, Cuba is the 26th most dangerous country worldwide for Christians. Corporation for Public Broadcasting is shutting down The Corporation for Public Broadcasting announced it is shutting down, reports American Family Radio. Congress created it in 1967 with the Public Broadcasting Act in order to promote educational and cultural programming that was not being done by the three broadcast networks.  With a current half-billion dollar annual budget, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting is now most known for overseeing liberal news outlet National Public Radio and the liberal network PBS. Back in May, President Trump signed an executive order to stop taxpayer funded biased media. Republican-hating NPR sued to challenge that order and told the court any decision to cut off funding must come from Congress.  With that challenge in the courts, the White House sent a rescissions package to Congress in late May. The GOP-led House passed the measure 214-212. In the U.S. Senate, Vice President J.D. Vance cast the tie vote for passage.  Heritage Foundation senior fellow Mike Gonzalez said a nation that is $36 trillion in debt should not be paying for news coverage that tells half the country to "get lost" because of its political beliefs.  HR15 enables perversion and abortion for public school minors Liberty Counsel took a case to the U.S. Supreme Court to ensure that parents  are allowed to opt their children out of homosexual and transgender indoctrination in public schools. However, if House Resolution 15 passes, it will open the floodgates and will force parents, counselors, and teachers to celebrate this destructive behavior. This bill has been introduced in both the current U.S. House and Senate. HR 15 — the misnamed “Equality Act” — will be a nightmare for everyone, warns Liberty Counsel Action. Every Democrat has signed on to the bill. And some Republicans voted for a prior version of HR 15. The margins are slim, and we could lose this battle if we remain silent. The battle in Congress will be fierce, but we must stop this bill for four reasons. First, if the child becomes confused by the propaganda at public schools — mandated by HR 15 — to think a person can choose their sex like they choose clothes, there will be no one to help them learn the truth. The child can demand hormone-blocking drugs (stopping puberty), opposite-sex hormones, and even surgery to remove healthy body parts. Parents will have no say, nor will the hospitals, health care providers, or pharmacists. Insurance and taxpayer funds will cover the expense. If the parents object, this will be considered child abuse, and the child could be removed from the home. Second, if someone pressures a young girl to get an abortion, she will have no one to protect her from this life-and-death decision. The so-called Equality Act will make abortion a federal right through all nine months. It will pre-empt every state law — including parental notification or consent and informed consent. The parents will have no say, nor will the hospitals, health care workers, or pharmacists.  Insurance companies cannot refuse coverage, and our taxes will fund the killing of innocent life. If parents, health care providers, or pharmacists resist the abortion, they can be sued by the U.S. Department of Justice, private individuals, and organizations — including Planned Parenthood. Third, if the child asks the parents for help to overcome unwanted homosexual attractions, behaviors, or gender confusion, there will be no one to help. The so-called Equality Act will make it illegal to provide any such counsel to help overcome these unwanted attractions, behaviors, or confusion. In fact, this bill makes such counsel illegal for all ages and for any counsel — licensed and unlicensed — and this includes pastoral counseling. Fourth, this dangerous bill will require Christian adoption and foster care ministries to place children in homosexual and transgender homes. And remember, the “Q” in LGBTQ encompasses nearly 550 paraphilias — which includes pedophilia! There will be no one to help these innocent children! In Matthew 18:6, Jesus said, “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in Me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” Send faxes to Congress to stop the so-called Equality Act from endangering public school kids.  We have the special link for you in the transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. Remember, some Republicans voted for a prior version of HR 15. The margins are slim, and we could lose this battle if we remain silent. White House Ballroom to add 90,000 square feet and cost $200 million And finally, the White House is about to get a major physical upgrade – a new ballroom. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made the announcement. LEAVITT:  “We are proud to announce that the construction of the new White House ballroom will begin. For 150 years, presidents, administrations and White House staff have longed for a large event space on the White House complex that can hold substantially more guests than currently allowed. President Trump has expressed his commitment to solving this problem on behalf of future administrations and the American people. “The White House is currently unable to host major functions, honoring world leaders and other countries, without having to install a large and unsightly tent approximately 100 yards away from the main building's entrance. “The White House State ballroom will be a much needed and exquisite addition of approximately 90,000 total square feet of carefully crafted space, with a seated capacity of 650 people, which is a significant increase from the 200-person seated capacity in the East Room of the White House.” Leavitt revealed the price tag and that it would not be paid for with tax dollars. LEAVITT: “President Trump and other donors have generously committed to donating the funds necessary to build this approximately $200 million structure.” White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles said, “President Trump is a builder at heart and has an extraordinary eye for detail.” … He is “fully committed to working with the appropriate organizations to preserving the special history of the White House.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, August 4th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. In the midst of the terrible Trump tax bill moving through Congress, Ralph invites Sarah Anderson who directs the Global Economy Project at the Institute for Policy Studies to discuss the massive tax loopholes huge companies like Amazon get that allow them to pay far less in taxes than ordinary working people. Then, Greg LeRoy from Good Jobs First joins us to discuss how state taxpayers are footing the bill for these massive data centers companies like Google are building all over the country. Plus, Ralph has some choice words for passive unions and responds to listener feedback about our guest last week, Nadav Wieman.Sarah Anderson directs the Global Economy Project at the Institute for Policy Studies and is a co-editor of the IPS website Inequality.org. Her research covers a wide range of international and domestic economic issues, including inequality, CEO pay, taxes, labor, and Wall Street reform. They're (Congress is) planning to give huge new tax giveaways to large corporations like Amazon and wealthy people like Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. And partially paying for those tax cuts for the wealthy by slashing programs that mean so much to so many Americans like Medicaid and food assistance.”Sarah AndersonWe're not going to have a healthy, thriving society and economy as long as we have the extreme levels of inequality that we have today.Sarah AndersonDubbed “the leading national watchdog of state and local economic development subsidies,” “an encyclopedia of information regarding subsidies,” “God's witness to corporate welfare,” and “the OG of ensuring that state and local tax policy actually supports good jobs, sustainability, and equity,”* Greg founded Good Jobs First in 1998 upon winning the Public Interest Pioneer Award. He has trained and consulted for state and local governments, associations of public officials, labor-management committees, unions, community groups, tax and budget watchdogs, environmentalists, and smart growth advocates more than 30 years.Public education and public health are the two biggest losers in every state giving away money to data centers right now.Greg Le RoyWe know of no other form of state spending that is so out of control. Therefore, we recommend that states cancel their data center tax exemptions. Such subsidies are absolutely unnecessary for an extremely profitable industry dominated by some of the most valuable corporations on earth such as Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, and Google.Good Jobs First report: “Cloudy With a Loss of Spending Control”They've (Congress has) known for years that the ordinary worker pays a higher tax rate than these loophole-ridden corporations.Ralph NaderIn my message to Trump, I ask him, "Why is he afraid of Netanyahu? And doesn't he want to come to the rescue of these innocent babies by saying, ‘Mr. Netanyahu, the taxpayers in this country are paying for thousands of trucks stalled at the border of Gaza full of medicine, food, water, electricity, fuel, and other critical necessities? We're going to put a little American flag on each one of these trucks, and don't you dare block them.'”…No answer.Ralph NaderNews 5/23/251. It seems as though the dam in Israeli politics against acknowledging the horrors in Gaza is beginning to break. In an interview with the BBC this week, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert stated that what Israel "is currently doing in Gaza is very close to a war crime. Thousands of innocent Palestinians are being killed.” He went on to say, “the war has no objective and has no chance of achieving anything that could save the lives of the hostages.” These quotes come from the Jerusalem Post. And on May 21st, Haaretz reported that opposition party leader Yair Golan warned that Israel could become a “pariah state, like South Africa once was,” based on its actions in Gaza. Speaking a truth that American politicians appear incapable of articulating, he added, a “sane state does not wage war against civilians, does not kill babies as a hobby, and does not set goals for itself like the expulsion of a population.”2. Confirming this prognosis, the Cradle reports “The Israeli military has admitted that more than 80 percent of the people killed in the attacks on Gaza since Israel breached the ceasefire two months ago are…civilians.” This fact was confirmed by the IDF in response to a request from Hebrew magazine Hamakom, wherein “the military's spokesperson stated that 500 of the 2,780 killed in the Gaza Strip as of Tuesday are ‘terrorists.'” Leaving the remaining 2,280 people killed classified as “not suspected terrorists.” The Cradle compares this ratio, approximately 4.5 civilians killed for every combatant, to the Russia-Ukraine war – a ratio of approximate 2.8 to one. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has “claimed that the ratio is just one civilian killed for each combatant killed.” At the same time, AP reports that while Israel has allowed a minimum of humanitarian aid to enter Gaza, under immense international pressure, “none of that aid actually reached Palestinians,” according to the United Nations spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric. The renewed offensive coupled with the barring of humanitarian aid has raised the alarm about mass starvation in Gaza.3. Developments on the ground in Gaza have triggered a new wave of international outcry. On May 19th, leaders of the United Kingdom, France and Canada issued a joint statement, reading in part, “We strongly oppose the expansion of Israel's military operations in Gaza. The level of human suffering in Gaza is intolerable… The Israeli Government's denial of essential humanitarian assistance to the civilian population is unacceptable and risks breaching International Humanitarian Law…We will not stand by while the Netanyahu Government pursues these egregious actions. If Israel does not cease the renewed military offensive and lift its restrictions on humanitarian aid, we will take further concrete actions in response.” The Parliament of Spain meanwhile, “passed a non-binding motion calling on the government to impose an arms embargo on Israel,” per Anadolu Ajansı. This potential ban, supported by all parties except the conservative People's Party and the far-right Vox, would “ban the exports of any material that could strengthen the Israeli military, including helmets, vests, and fuel with potential military use.” Left-wing parties in Spain are now pushing for an emergency session to impose a binding decree to this effect.4. The United States however seems to be moving backwards. Drop Site news reports Trump's Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff made a deal with Hamas ensuring that, “the Trump administration would compel Israel to lift the Gaza blockade and allow humanitarian aid to enter the territory…[and] make a public call for an immediate ceasefire,” in exchange for the release of Edan Alexander. Of course, once Alexander was released Trump reneged completely. Basem Naim, a member of Hamas's political bureau, told Drop Site, “He did nothing of this…They didn't violate the deal. They threw it in the trash.” Besides prolonging further the charnel house in Gaza, this duplicity undermines American credibility in the region, particularly with Iran at a time when Trump is seeking a new deal to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.5. Democrats in Congress are inching towards action as well. On May 13th, Senator Peter Welch introduced Senate Resolution 224, calling for “the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to address the needs of civilians in Gaza.” Along with Welch, 45 Democrats and Independents signed on to this resolution, that is the entire Democratic caucus except for John Fetterman. On May 14th, Rashida Tlaib introduced House Resolution 409, commemorating the Nakba and calling on Congress to “reinstate support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, which provides life-saving humanitarian assistance to Palestinians.” This was cosponsored by AOC and Reps. Carson, Lee, Omar, Pressley, Ramirez, Simon, and Coleman. And, on May 21st, a group of eight senators – Welch, Sanders, Kaine, Merkley, Murray, Van Hollen, Schatz, and Warnock – sent a letter urging Secretary of State Rubio to reopen the investigation into the death of Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu-Akleh, per Prem Thakker. The Biden administration ruled the death “unintentional,” but a new documentary by Zeteo News reveals a “Biden cover-up.”6. More action is occurring on college campuses as well, as students go into graduation season. At NYU, a student named Logan Rozos said in his graduation speech, “As I search my heart today in addressing you all…the only thing that is appropriate to say in this time and to a group this large is a recognition of the atrocities currently happening in Palestine,” per CNN. NYU announced that they are now withholding his diploma. At George Washington University, the Guardian reports student Cecilia Culver said in her graduation speech, “I am ashamed to know my tuition [fee] is being used to fund…genocide…I call upon the class of 2025 to withhold donations and continue advocating for disclosure and divestment.” GWU issued a statement declaring Culver “has been barred from all GW's campuses and sponsored events elsewhere.” The moral clarity of these students is remarkable, given the increasingly harsh measures these schools have taken to silence those who speak up.7. Moving on, several major stories about the failing DOGE initiative have surfaced in recent days. First, Social Security. Listeners may recall that a DOGE engineer said “40% of phone calls made to [the Social Security Administration] to change direct deposit information come from fraudsters.” Yet, a new report by NextGov.com found that since DOGE mandated the SSA install new anti-fraud checks on claims made over the phone, “only two claims out of over 110,000 were found to likely be fraudulent,” or 0.0018%. What the policy has done however, is slow down payments. According to this piece, retirement claim processing is down 25%. Meanwhile, at the VA, DOGE engineer Sahil Lavingia, “found…a machine that largely functions, though it doesn't make decisions as fast as a startup might.” Lavingia added “honestly, it's kind of fine—because the government works. It's not as inefficient as I was expecting, to be honest. I was hoping for more easy wins.” This from Fast Company. Finally, CBS reports, “leaders of the United States Institute for Peace regained control of their offices Wednesday…after they were ejected from their positions by the Trump administration and [DOGE] in March.” This piece explains that On February 19th, President Trump issued Executive Order 14217 declaring USIP "unnecessary" and terminating its leadership, most of its 300 staff members, its entire board, installing a DOGE functionary at the top and transferring ownership of the building to the federal government. This set off a court battle that ended Monday, when U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell ruled that the takeover was “unlawful” and therefore “null and void.” These DOGE setbacks might help explain Elon Musk's reported retreat from the political spotlight and political spending.8. On May 21st, Congressman Gerry Connolly passed away, following his battle with esophageal cancer. Connolly's death however is just the latest in a disturbing trend – Ken Klippenstein reports, “Connolly joins five other members of Congress who also died in office over the past 13 months…Rep. Raúl Grijalva…Rep. Sylvester Turner…Rep. Bill Pascrell…Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee…[and] Rep. Donald Payne Jr.” All of these representatives were Democrats and their deaths have chipped away at the close margin between Democrats and Republicans in the House – allowing the Republicans to pass Trump's “Big Beautiful Bill” by a single vote. Connolly himself prevailed over AOC in a much-publicized intra-party battle for the Ranking Member seat on the House Oversight committee. It speaks volumes that Connolly was only able to hold onto that seat for a few short months before becoming too sick to stay on. This is of course part and parcel with the recent revelations about Biden's declining mental acuity during his presidency and the efforts to oust David Hogg from the DNC for backing primaries against what he calls “asleep-at-the-wheel” Democrats.9. Speaking of “asleep-at-the-wheel” Democrats, Bloomberg Government reports Senator John Fetterman “didn't attend a single committee hearing in 2025 until…May 8, about a week after an explosive New York Magazine story raised questions about his mental health and dedication to his job.” Fetterman, who represents Pennsylvania on the Commerce, Agriculture, and Homeland Security committees skipped the confirmation hearings for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Budget Director Russ Vought, some of the most high-profile and controversial Trump appointments. Fetterman still has yet to attend a single Agriculture committee hearing in 2025.10. Finally, in more Pennsylvania news, the state held its Democratic primaries this week, yielding mixed results. In Pittsburgh, progressives suffered a setback with the ouster of Mayor Ed Gainey – the first Black mayor of the city. Gainey lost to Allegheny County Controller Corey O'Connor, the son of former Mayor Bob O'Connor, the Hill reports. In Philadelphia however, voters approved three ballot measures – including expanding affordable housing and adding more oversight to the prison system – and reelected for a third term progressive reform District Attorney Larry Krasner, per AP. Krasner has long been a target of conservatives in both parties, but has adroitly maneuvered to maintain his position – and dramatically reduced homicide rates in Philly. The Wall Street Journal reports Philadelphia homicides declined by 34% between 2023 and 2024, part of substantial decline in urban homicides nationwide. Kudos to Krasner. This has been Francesco DeSantis, with In Case You Haven't Heard. Get full access to Ralph Nader Radio Hour at www.ralphnaderradiohour.com/subscribe

//The Wire//2300Z May 5, 2025////ROUTINE////BLUF: REVENGE KILLING IN OHIO, PROBABLE REVENGE KILLING ATTEMPTED IN INDIANA. WHITE HOUSE STATES NO TIMELINE FOR EPSTEIN DOC RELEASE. ISRAEL ANNOUNCES PLAN TO COMPLETELY OCCUPY GAZA.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events-Middle East: Israeli media has announced that Netanyahu's cabinet has approved plans to completely seize control of Gaza. Local Israeli media has stated that another general mobilization is underway, with tens of thousands of reservists being calling into active service in the IDF. -HomeFront-Washington D.C. - Significant scandal erupted over the weekend in Congress as House Resolution 867 was introduced for a vote. The bill sought to modify the text of 50 USC 4841 and 4842 (both being wartime trade laws) to restrict American's ability to boycott certain nations and groups (according to the bill's sponsors, specifically one nation, Israel). After the expected backlash, the vote on this bill has been postponed.AC: Most of the outrage over this is really related to the already-passed Anti-Boycott Act of 2018, which went almost completely unnoticed by the chaos of the COVID years. H.R. 867 merely sought to change the terminology so that the term "international government organization" was placed after the words "foreign country" in the text of 50 USC § 4841. What this means in practice is anyone's guess as the original law was passed with extremely vague and broad language. This additional aspect of adding IGO's to the mix is interesting in that it provides a clue as to what manipulations are being undertaken in Washington on this issue. Previously the laws only applied to government-level boycotts...but adding in IGOs could mean that the floodgates are opened for all of this to impact the average American.Washington D.C. - During a press conference the White House has stated that there is no specific timeline for the release of the Epstein files.AC: Though this was probably the case all along, there is almost zero chance that these files will ever be released. Following the binder-scandal of two months ago, a lot of older previously-known documentation will eventually be re-released and touted as new, but the files that everyone wants (as in Epstein's client list that does exist and was presented in court) will almost certainly never be made public.Ohio: A police officer was murdered as part of a revenge killing incident in Cincinnati. A traffic control officer was intentionally struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon near the University of Cincinnati. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Rodney Hinton Jr, who is the father of Ryan Hinton, a black male that was shot and killed by police on Thursday for drawing a gun on police officers who discovered him inside a stolen vehicle they were attempting to locate.AC: Not many details are being released on this incident, probably to reduce the palpably high tensions regarding this incident. Though the timing is hard to verify, local media reports that Rodney Hinton was shown the body cam footage of his son's death, which confirmed beyond all doubt that the police shooting was justified. After viewing the video, Hinton promptly left the police station and proceeded to murder what seems to be a random officer not specifically involved in the incident. Since this was very much a knee-jerk revenge killing, it's hard to imagine that Hinton would have murdered the correct police officer involved in his son's killing (even if it's because the officers involved in the shooting are probably on administrative leave as is standard procedure). However, now that the situation has become a high profile incident, the security concerns to the officers who are actually involved with the prior shooting are exceptionally high, thus the little information regarding the link between these two cases.Indiana

It's Friday, March 7th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian states close all schools for Muslim Ramadan fast Northern Nigerian governments of Bauchi, Katsina, Kano, and Kebbi States issued a directive to close all schools — public and private — for up to five weeks during the Muslim Ramadan fast. It has ignited strong reactions from the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Middle Belt Forum. The groups argue that the closures, which affect millions of students, pose serious threats to education, fairness, and national unity, reports International Christian Concern. John 4:24 underscores the importance of worshiping the one true God, not the false Muslim deity. It says, “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” Trump chastises Democrats for not applauding anything good On Tuesday night, President Donald Trump smartly confronted Democrats early on with their refusal to celebrate any good news. Listen. TRUMP: “This is my fifth such speech to Congress, and once again, I look at the Democrats in front of me, and I realize there is absolutely nothing I can say to make them happy or to make them stand or smile or applaud. Nothing I can do.   “I could find a cure to the most devastating disease, a disease that would wipe out entire nations, or announce the answers to the greatest economy in history, or the stoppage of crime to the lowest levels ever recorded. And these people, sitting right here, will not clap, will not stand, and certainly will not cheer for these astronomical achievements. They won't do it no matter what. Five, five times I've been up here. It's very sad, and it just shouldn't be this way. (applause) “So, Democrats sitting before me for just this one night, why not join us in celebrating so many incredible wins for America? For the good of our nation, let's work together and let's truly make America great again.” Despite his plea, Democrats, without exception, sat on their hands as he announced the acceptance by West Point of Jason Hartley, a high school senior in the gallery, the awarding of the honorary title of Secret Service Agent to D.J. Daniel, a 13-year-old brain cancer survivor in the gallery who aspires to be a law enforcement officer, and the naming of a national wildlife refuge in the Houston area after Jocelyn Nungary, the 12-year-old girl who was brutally killed by two Venezuelan illegal aliens.  Jocelyn's mother was in the gallery. Rep. Al Green kicked out of Trump's congressional speech As he waved his cane, 73-year-old Democratic Congressman Al Green of Texas interrupted Trump by yelling, "You don't have a mandate."  Despite House Speaker Mike Johnson's patient pleas for Rep. Green to stop, he continued, prompting Johnson to have him removed. TRUMP: “Small business optimism …” GREEN: “You don't have a mandate.” TRUMP: “So, it's the single largest one month gain ever recorded, a 41-point jump.” CONGRESSMAN: “Sit down!” JOHNSON: “Members are directed to uphold and maintain decorum in the house and to cease any further disruptions. That's your warning. “Members are engaging in willful and continuing breach of decorum, and the chair is prepared to direct the Sergeant at Arms to restore order to the joint session. (applause) “Mr. Green, take your seat. Take your seat, sir.” GREEN: “No mandate.” JOHNSON: “Take your seat. Finding that members continue to engage in willful and concerted disruption of proper decorum, the Chair now directs the Sergeant at Arms to restore order. Remove this gentleman from the chamber.” House censured Rep. Al Green for disruption of Trump speech Two days later, the U.S. House of Representatives considered a resolution to censure Rep. Green for his disruptive behavior. CLERK: “House Resolution 189: Resolution censuring Representative Al Green of Texas.” After five minutes, House Speaker Mike Johnson announced the vote results. JOHNSON: “On this vote, the yeas are 224, the nays are 198, with two answering present. The resolution is adopted.” The censure of Democratic Congressman Al Green of Texas passed largely along party lines, with 10 Democrats voting with Republicans in favor of the resolution and two lawmakers, including Green, voting "present," reports USA Today. JOHNSON: “Will Representative Green present himself to the well? By its adoption of House Resolution 189, the House has resolved that Representative Al Green be censured. That Representative Al Green forthwith present himself in the well of the House of Representatives for the pronouncement of censure, and that Representative Al Green be censured with public reading of this resolution by the Speaker.” DEMOCRATS: (sing “We Shall Overcome”) After the vote, instead of standing silently while the censure was read, the Texas Democrat led a group of colleagues in a rendition of “We Shall Overcome,” a song long associated with civil rights protests, suggesting that somehow the censuring of Green for his disruptive behavior was racist, reports Roll Call. JOHNSON: (Banging of gavel) “The House will come to order. The House will come to order.” After the Democrats refused to stop singing “We Shall Overcome,” House Speaker Johnson was forced to impose a break called recess. JOHNSON: “Pursuant to clause 12a of rule one, the House will stand in recess subject to the call of the chair.” A censure is considered a severe public rebuke of a legislator brought by other members of Congress, a form of punishment second only to expulsion. The U.S. Constitution allows for Congress to "punish its members for disorderly behavior." Censure is a formal disapproval intended to discipline members of the House. Sen. Fetterman: Democrats are metaphorical car alarms nobody pays attention to Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania had some of the harshest criticism for his party's protests from the chamber, reports RollCall. On Wednesday, Fetterman tweeted, “A sad cavalcade of self and unhinged petulance. It only makes Trump look more presidential and restrained. We're becoming the metaphorical car alarms that nobody pays attention to — and it may not be the winning message.” In 1 Corinthians 13:11, the Apostle Paul wrote, “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” Falling just as flat as Congressman Green's babbling were the Democratic congresswomen who staged a silent protest by wearing pink and other Democrats who held up little paddles emblazoned with lines including “FALSE”, “MUSK STEALS”, and “SAVE MEDICAID.” Plus, some Democrats walked out in the middle of the speech, revealing t-shirts with messages after they removed their jackets. Oil prices dropped to lowest levels in 3 years Oil prices have dropped to their lowest levels in over three years, driven by uncertainties related to the ongoing trade war, which is impacting the global economy and energy demand outlook. Gold up And finally, gold prices rose on Wednesday, supported by a weaker dollar, as investors awaited the release of the U.S. payrolls data later this week for additional insights into the Federal Reserve's monetary policy, reports CNBC. U.S. gold futures rose by 0.2% to $2,927.50 per ounce. In the first half of this week's feature on suppressors, silencers and sportsmen Fred catches up with Knox Williams of the American Suppressor Association (ASA). The two talk about recent victories in Vermont and the remaining states that do not allow hunting with suppressors. Knox highlights the misconceptions and misunderstandings surrounding suppressors and the need for education and advocacy. The conversation concludes with a discussion on the federal regulations and the potential for regulatory reform. Fred and Knox dive deep into the history of suppressors and the National Firearms Act, and the need for suppressor reform.   Next, Fred is joined by CSF board member and CEO of Silencer Central Brandon Maddox, and the two explore the potential $200 million windfall that redirecting federal suppressor ‘tax stamp' revenue to conservation would bring to conservation. Maddox explains that currently, silencers are not taxed for conservation funding, unlike firearms and ammunition. The conversation also touches on the lack of awareness among the shooting community about the impact of their purchases on conservation funding. Maddox also talks about his involvement with the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation (CSF) and the benefits of being on the board..   Takeaways The American Suppressor Association (ASA) works to advance suppressor-friendly legislation and promote the benefits of suppressor use, such as hearing protection and reduced noise pollution. A recent victory in Vermont removed the sunset on hunting with suppressors, while eight remaining states do not allow hunting with suppressors Suppressors are classified as firearms and require a tax stamp and registration, which creates unnecessary barriers for law-abiding citizens. The National Firearms Act was originally intended to ban guns, but due to constitutional limitations, it imposed a tax on firearms instead. Live fire demonstrations are effective in showcasing the safety and benefits of suppressors, and the ASA is willing to host demonstrations for legislators and regulators. House Resolution 6352 proposes redirecting 85% of the $200 tax on silencers to conservation funding, a potential $200 million windfall. It's Tuesday, May 28th A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson 11 pastors jailed in Nicaragua Eleven evangelical pastors are in jail in Nicaragua and a warrant is out for the arrest of a U.S. missionary named Jon Hancock, reports International Christian Concern.  Six countries -- including Cuba, Venezuela, Ecuador, Brazil, Honduras, and Mexico -- have also agreed to extradite the missionary if arrested. At issue is a nationwide revival that occurred in association with the Mountain Gateway evangelical outreach.  A million people heard the Christian Gospel at eight events in 2023. Unbelievably, the pastors face 12-15 years in prison for their participation in the revivals.  And now, 58 members of the U.S. Congress signed a bipartisan letter addressed to the Ambassador of Nicaragua, expressing alarm over Nicaragua's violations of religious freedom. Additionally, House Resolution 1019, also introduced in February, expresses concern “that United States citizens affiliated with the Mountain Gateway ministry are being targeted for arrest and extradition by the Nicaraguan government.” Pray for the Christian pastors incarcerated in Nicaragua today. New Guinea landslide kills 2,000 A massive landslide in New Guinea may have taken the lives of as many as 2,000 people, reports the Post-Courier. The landslide destroyed most of Tulipana Village in Enga Province, at 3:00 am on Friday morning. This marks the deadliest natural disaster in the world for 2024 thus far.  Olympics spotlight drag queens The 2024 Paris Summer Olympics will feature three drag queens hoisting the Olympic torch. It's all in accord with the Olympic theme this year which is “Games Wide Open.” The International Olympic Committee has agreed to remove testing restrictions for male competitors who are pretending to be women. That  means any man can call himself a woman and compete in 38 out of 48 women's categories. The Olympic site is boasting of “full gender equality” this year. Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo affirmed that “I am proud and, yes, Paris is proud, that a drag queen will carry the torch and the values of peace and humanity.” Blue states' low fertility rates The lowest fertility rates in the United States of America are now found in blue states, known for their leftist leanings, according to recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Vermont is the lowest at 1.35 children per woman, followed by Oregon and New Hampshire.  The blue states of Colorado, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island range between 1.4 and 1.5. Overall, the U.S. fertility rate is now 1.62, down from 3.6 in 1960. More potheads than lushes There are now more daily or near daily users of marijuana in the United States than daily users of alcohol.   Since 1992, the number of marijuana daily users has increased from 900,000 to 17.7 million.  Alcohol daily users have increased from 9 million to 14.7 million over the same time period. At this point, 74% of Americans live in states that have legalized pot. U.S. tornadoes and storms killed 21 In God's providence, more tornadoes and severe storms killed another 21 people in the U.S. over the weekend. Nearly 100 were injured and seven killed in a powerful tornado that struck near the Texas-Oklahoma border.  This is reported to be the most active tornado season in seven years, with 442 tornadoes so far reported for the month of May, according to Fox News.  Walmart pushes sexual perversion Some say, “Go Woke. Go Broke.” But now, Walmart has opened up its “Pride Always” line of products in commemoration of what has become known as June Pride Month.   A recent Fox News report pointed out that Target is pulling back on its Pride celebration, while Walmart is advancing the Pride agenda. “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” That's Proverbs 16:18. Randall Terry is Constitution Party presidential nominee Former Operation Rescue director, Randall Terry, is the Constitution Party's nominee for the 2024 presidential race. The pro-life activist declared, “The Democrats are running ON child killing.  The Republicans are running AWAY from child killing. We are running AT child killing, to END child killing!” However, the Constitution Party has never done better than 0.2% of the vote, and 0.04% of the vote in 2020.  According to its website, the Constitution Party is on the ballot in 12 states and is petitioning to be on more. In 2022, the party made it on the ballot in 15 states, including the battleground states of Georgia, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Homosexual activist clinches Libertarian presidential nomination And finally, Chase Oliver, a homosexual and political activist, won the Libertarian Party nomination for President over the weekend, reports CNN. He beat out former President Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., both attempting to secure the Libertarian vote. Kennedy received 19 votes and Trump received six. Chase Oliver received 497 votes in the final tally or 60%. He  supports the legalization of killing unborn babies and he is campaigning to abolish the death penalty for those who commit murder. Proverbs 17:15 reminds us that “He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the LORD.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Tuesday, May 28th in the year of our Lord 2024. Subscribe by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.
