It's Jen x2! In easily the most stressful week of an incredibly fraught fall, I know we could all benefit from a little extra kindness and positivity, which just so happen to be two of the qualities most filmgoers associate with actor Paul Rudd. Chatting with Vulture's delightful TV critic Jen Chaney, who literally wrote the book on writer-director Amy Heckerling's masterful 1995 romcom CLUELESS, the two of us spent a breezy hour celebrating some of Rudd's most iconic & intriguing roles, including the films CLUELESS, WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER, ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND OF RON BURGUNDY, I LOVE YOU MAN, OUR IDIOT BROTHER, & ANT-MAN, in particular. Touching on everything from his ability to play both broad & more character-based comedy to his work on the small screen as well as his loyalty to the friends he collaborates with repeatedly (sometimes in tiny indies with next to no budget), I hope this episode gives you a mini-escape from election week stress, especially because Jen tells so many stories that are sure to make you smile.Guest Bio: Jen Chaney is a TV critic and writer for Vulture and New York magazine. She's also the author of the book AS IF: THE COMPLETE ORAL HISTORY OF CLUELESS. She previously worked at The Washington Post and has contributed to the New York Times, Vanity Fair, and other publications. It's Paul Rudd Week on Love and Horror! We watched Our Idiot Brother, and the pinnacle of his career - Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers. We also discuss modern art, using the fancy dishes, the Halloween francise lore (and, ahem, plot holes), and Deanne's loud AF neighbours make a bit of an appearance (sorry!). Hop on the Hot Mess Express with us! All is fair in Love and Horror!
My guest today is Daniel Tashian is a Gammy-winning producer, musician, and songwriter who has produced for artists such as Kacey Musgraves, Tenille Townes, Jessie James Decker, A Girl Named Eddie, Trent Dabbs, Emily West, and Keelan Donovan. He has had several sync placements in hit TV shows and movies including the film Our Idiot Brother, Pretty Little Liars, Nashville, Reign, and Scorpion among others. His first #1 Country song was with “Hometown Girl” by Josh Turner co-written with Marc Beeson and Daniel co-produced Kacey Musgrave's critically acclaimed and CMA and Grammy nominated album Golden Hour & also co-wrote 7 of the album's 13 songs. He also has a band called The Silver Seas with Jason Lehning (episode 74) in 1999 doing very well in the U.K. including a gig on the Jules Holland Show. I had great fun recording with these guys a few times at my studio, and I'm happy to have Daniel back on the show to keep talking about songwriting and creating as much as we can in the time that we have. Trailer zur Komödie „Our Idiot Brother“ mit Paul Rudd.
Back to our regularly scheduled podcast we bring you a collection of movie-related chatter and complain about George Lucas’ worsening senility. Paul only saw one single, solitary film this week (Fright Night) but Nathan once again brings the long-winded monologues, this time concerning John Carpenter, Wes Craven, Paul Rudd’s latest (Our Idiot Brother) and many more. In fact, pretty sure he forgot about a film or two he saw this past week but we’ll blame his starvation-induced dementia for that oversight (90 hours, provided you don’t count that banana on day 3). Enjoy!
SG Flix is back with another podcasting masterpiece. In this dose of Sarcastic Gamer's movie podcast, Jitterbug and Yoshifett rot their brains with Our Idiot Brother, Tron Legacy, The Brick, and Limitless, discuss trailers for Chronicle, Goon, The Dictator and much more. In case you're wondering why we haven't accompanied the rest of the staff to their new home, we hope to make that move sometime in the next few weeks. Check back in a next week because the gang will be discussing The Prophecy.
For the second time in as many months, Kat picks a Fassbender driven film with this recent adaptation of Jane Eyre. Should Scott be worried about Kat's new Hollywood boyfriend? Probably. Can Cary Fukunaga's team bring something new to this tale of woe that has already been adapted for the small and big screens countless times? Tune in to find out. We also share our quick thoughts on 30 Minutes or Less, Our Idiot Brother, Violent Naples, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Trip. All this and a very generous serving of feedback - that to everyone who phoned or wrote it. Please drop us a line and share your thoughts at 206-338-0793 or marriedwithclickers@gmail.com
Matt and Conlan talk about Our Idiot Brother, Beginners, The Muppets Movie, 30 Minutes or Less, Analyze Phish, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Skyrim, Rocksmith, Saints Row: the third, football, Colts, Tebow, politics.
So you might be wondering where Episode 19 is. Technical difficulties. You might also be wondering where the first half of Episode 20 is. Unfortunately, it suffered the same fate. But never fear! We've got half of BOP 20, totally intact! And we're talking about our movie of the month, Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. We also, very briefly, go over some of the movies we saw over the last month, including The Ides of March, Our Idiot Brother, Cyberbu//y, and even a little Deep Space 9. Come back in two weeks for more trailer trash, and again in a month for our next Movie of the Month, Y Tu Mama Tambien!
A review of Drake Doremus’ LIKE CRAZY (Anton Yelchin and Felicity Jones). Mighty Minute review of CRAZY, STUPID, LOVE. DVD Quick Pick reviews of OUR IDIOT BROTHER and RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES.
Welcome, boys and girls, to another off-the-cuff, scriptless episode. After a little bit of getting’ to know you banter, the boys randomly decide to talk about why we geeks are so drawn to works of fantasy and science-fiction. They also say some words about the latest wave of DC Comic’s New 52, AJ shares his thoughts on the films Our Idiot Brother and Horrible Bosses, and Paul waxes rhapsodic on Another Earth. But of course what we all care about here are the boys thoughts on the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 9 #1 (hint: they dig it), and Ultimate Spider-Man #1, which includes them mocking the %#$& out of “valued reader” Jimmy Champane and “formally happy Marvel true believer” Douglas Maxfield. Good times.

We talk about Scott's movie challenge of Little Fockers in excruciating detail. We also do the Top Ten, Finger list, Take Out The Trash, a reading from The Terrible Game and a new Straight to Video segment review for the film Alive Or Dead.
Please don't question my music choice, I don't even remember if I've used it before but yes this song was on The Change-Up soundtrack. And at least I could use this without having to download something new. It's a quick show this week as I cover the news, the Trailer Spot this week is Underworld: Awakening, and then there's the Box Office Report. The reviews this week are The Change-Up and Our Idiot Brother. Then for my closing comments I talk about the overuse of set photos and videos. Enjoy the show! Opening and Closing Song- Cherry Pie by Warrent
Scott and Joey do this weeks Top Ten, The Finger List and talk about Joey's movie challenge of Sphere. Also, we do the "Taking Out The Trash" segment for Sphere and Scott reads the next installment from The Terrible Game.

Inspired by an obnoxious "texter," Steve Head and John Black discuss what should be done to stop cell phone users during movies, and the protocol for booting these selfish, incosiderate jerks (particularly texters!) from a theater. We're at our wit's end. These people must go.Receiving the full film review treatment is Guilermo del Toro's Don't Be Afraid of the Dark and the comedy Our Idiot Brother, starring Paul Rudd. Also up for discussion is the new documentary Chasing Madoff, and the new home video releases: Akira Kurosawa's High & Low, Jodie Foster's The Beaver, the BBC's Top Gear 16, Blitz starring Jason Statham and Little Big Soldier starring Jackie Chan. And Steve (having experienced a 5-hour screening of Cleopatra during the Harvard Film Archive's Joseph L. Mankiewicz retrospective) and John (who's seen the film *6* times) reminice about Taylor & Burton's epic 1963 debacle. We slow it down from the all the summer blockbusters with a few films that have kept a lower profile. The first is Guillermo Del Toro's remake of the 1973 TV horror, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. Was this mostly unseen cult film worth dusting off? Plus, Zoe Saldana finally gets the spotlight all to herself in Colombiana, from the team behind The Professional and The Transporter! All this plus the Paul Rudd indie comedy, Our Idiot Brother! We'll have all the major news straight out of Hollywood, plus you never know who might pop in and join us!
Lots to talk about on Episode 74 of Movie B.S. with Bayer and Snider. For one thing, it’s Eric’s birthday. Also, there were some movies. Jeff and Eric had possibly their biggest disagreement yet on “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark”: Jeff hated it, Eric liked it a lot. You make the call! They agreed that “Colombiana” is a generic and overlong action movie. Jeff saw the documentary “Senna” and called it the best doc of the year so far; he was less fond of “Our Idiot Brother,” starring Paul Rudd. Bayer and Snider both liked “The Interrupters,” a respectable doc about stopping violence in inner-city Chicago, directed by the man who made “Hoop Dreams.” Finally, they talked to Evan Glodell, the writer/director/producer/star of “Bellflower,” which both guys loved. Evan was very enthusiastic about his movie. You should go see it. QOTW: In honor of “Apollo 18,” which presents a horror twist on the Moon landing, what other historical event could be given the horror treatment? Give us your ideas, and we will steal them.
The guys have a heart-to-heart talk with "Columbiana" / "Star Trek" / "The Losers" star Zoe Saldana, as well as reviews of "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" and "Our Idiot Brother." Most importantly: Matt Mungle is back, y'all!
Paul Rudd plays a lovable screw-up, who isn't the black sheep his family makes him out to be. Is this movie precisely what you think it is from the trailer? Matt and Devin run through the latest comedy attempt, and debate Rudd's status as Everyman...
