Elior leads Kain and Neville out into the wilderness near Llorkh, where they get attacked by stirges, find the Red Wizard Tharidun Mirza excavating some mysterious Netherese ruins with a zombie crew that includes the body of their dead friend Zimevos, then they run out of food in the hills. Foraging separately, Elior is attacked and killed by a panther. His friends find the body and are then joined by young goliath barbarian Bron, who explores several nearby hexes with the spellcasters (and narrowly survives a leucrotta attack) before getting back to Llorkh. Over in Upperthorn, Swift Current goes as emissary to the Bignose Goblins, and Mike contemplates his next moves to save New Ammarindar and send an expedition north into the ruins of Orlbar.

Happy October, everyone. Kicking off the divination month, we dive into the psychic arts, thanks to our listener question from way back when. We discuss the differences between how you can tell if it's real or not, how to hone it in with practice, and what to do with the information after you get it. Our listener from the UK says,  TL, DR: For those of us who are not born gifted in this regard, what can we do to strengthen our intuition and learn to understand what it shows us? I am a beginner reader who enjoys studying tarot in my spare time. I've bought books by Rachel Pollack, Melissa's book, and Barbara Moore's Tarot Spreads book, and I take time to practice on willing friends. One thing I know we probably can't learn from a book is how to nourish and develop our intuition. I appreciate that some of us on this planet are born with a stronger gift than others, such as clairvoyance or psychic ability, and it amazes me to hear how you all get clear visions and exact information from your readings. In your opinion, can anything like this be learned, and if so, how do we strengthen and nourish our intuition so we can level up our tarot practice both for ourselves as a healing practice and in reading for others? (I sometimes think I can picture something, a kind of vision or snapshot, that I could communicate to somebody, but then I don't know if it's me inflicting my own ideas on them or if it's my intuition popping up and handing me helpful information.) Hi everyone, this is Jono speaking on behalf of the entire Goofballs & Goblins team. You’ve probably noticed that we’ve taken some time off recently. This is in part due to the state of the world right now, partly because we still haven’t quite figured out remote recording, and partly because of recent events in the TTRPG community. We’d like to take this moment to properly address those events. As many of you may know, Wizards of the Coast, the company who makes D&D, let slip over a month ago that they were still working with Mike Mearls, who they had previously claimed was no longer employed by them in the TTRPG department. For those who don't know, Mearls was involved in enabling abuse within the tabletop community, in addition to further endangering abuse survivors by exposing them to their abuser. We firmly believe- and I cannot stress this enough- that Wizards of the Coast needs to fire Mike Mearls. When we initially wrote our statement regarding Wizards, this was the most recent news. We were still hopeful that they would appropriately and publicly address this failure on their part and work to rectify the situation. It was our belief that once that action was taken we could perhaps continue playing D&D with a clear conscience, and what’s more we planned to use this platform (however small it may be) to uplift and showcase indie creators making D&D content. I recognize now that that belief comes from a place of privilege and naivete, especially after this past weekend. On July 3rd, Orion D. Black, a Black nonbinary former Wizards of the Coast employee, posted a thread of their experiences working for them and the continual mistreatment they received during their time there. If you’ve not seen it or read it yet, their statement will be linked in the transcript for this recording on our website. (https://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sra9pq) This was the last straw for a lot of people, ourselves included. After reading about the hypocrisy, toxicity, and unwillingness to change that Wizards has shown time and again (not to mention their deafening silence when it comes to #FireMikeMearls), we cannot in good conscience continue to play Dungeons and Dragons on this show. To do so would be to give our tacit support to them, and I speak for all of us when I say we do not now nor will we ever support this kind of behavior. So, what does this mean for Goofballs and Goblins? The details are as of yet unclear, but I can assure you that the Frighty Fellows’ story will continue using a different system as the medium. We have found several options that we will be privately trying out over the next few weeks. Once we find something that works for us as a group, we’ll transfer this story over and get back to bringing you the content of dubious quality that you’re used to. As for the several backlogged episodes that we hadn’t released before everything went down, we’ve decided as a group that we’re just not comfortable putting D&D content into the world anymore. Join The Higherside Chats podcast as host Greg Carlwood talks Texas' Rock Wall, Scientology and the Hollywood machine with guest, Josh Reeves. We know the world is largely run by unseen hands- in a vast web of international corporations, banking oligarchs, secret societies, think tanks, bloodlines, religions, disinformation agents, and alphabet agencies- and it's not an easy task to deconstruct. As soon as we examine the power and influence of one far reaching network, we're exposed to another with dominion over a different sector of societal control and the pattern repeats until our dying day. Yes there are many hands in the cookie jar and today we're going to look at some threads on this spider's web that haven't been brought to light as much as others. Today's guest is a great documentary maker and all around master of multimedia and he's put together some really great films that avoid rehashing the same old conspiracy 101 bullet-points that cover well sourced information that's hard to find any where else. 2:25 With elements of older films helping Reeves make some of the connections in his most recent work "The Spellcasters", Greg begins by discussing Josh's background and some surprising influential forces along his pathway. With his previous work the "Secret Right Volume 1" offering insights into some of the more nefarious forces at work such as the Council for National Policy, Reeves was able to follow the breadcrumbs while researching the Rock Wall for his film "Lost Secrets of Ancient America." 5:00 Following his "Secret Right" series exploring networks of power on the right side of the American two-party system, Reeves produced the "Lost Secrets of Ancient America" series focusing on a frequency emitting unnatural structure shrouded in mystery dubbed the Rock Wall. Constructed from a variety of rare crystals, rare Earth metals and minerals that have been sourced from various locations and brought together to create composite stones, the Rock Wall consists of non-indigenous materials such as Zircon, Garnet and Tourmaline. A particularly perplexing aspect of the Rock Wall is the presence of Niobium, a material discovered in the 1800s that can only come to fruition through the extraction from the element known as, Columbite. Aside from the paradoxical materials sourced to form the Rock Wall, their alignment to the solstices and equinoxes is also rather puzzling. 12:42 After discussing several enigmas relating to the Rock Wall, Greg and Josh pivot to exploring the possible uses or purpose behind it's erection. Clocking in at 20 miles in diameter and encompassing most of the modern day city of Rockwall, Josh contends that along with acting as an ocean barrier, the wall served a variety of uses. An interesting piece of evidence found was underground tunnels leading to nearby water sources. A few of the wilder speculations circling around these tunnels includes the legends of an underground cavern found to contain some disturbing artifacts, and the wall doubling as a safe haven for people from cannibalistic giants roaming the area. 25:24 Switching gears to "Spellcasters", Greg and Josh tackle the topic: who really runs the Hollywood machine? Stepping beyond the gross over simplification of chalking it up to the Jewish elite and further dissecting the evidence, Reeves puts a point on some of the finer details. In an effort to circumvent the east coast Edison Trust monopoly of the film industry, a group of industrialist Jews moved west and began building an empire based on Nickelodeons. Following a successful and profitable start, coupled with the shifting of powers after WWII, the Hollywood elite recognized and began unlocking the potential of mass manipulation and psychological warfare through media. 32:20 After previously touching on the coinciding world changing events taking place in 1947, such as the establishment of the entire national security apparatus,
