Mitch Marner rose to the occasion, Jordan Binnington silenced critics and Nate MacKinnon earned MVP honours, showcasing his elite skating and scoring ability. Marchand’s postgame jab hinted at pregame bulletin-board material, likely fueled by the Tkachuk brothers’ comments. Young defensemen Thomas Harley and Jake Sanderson shined under pressure, making strong cases for Olympic roster spots. Meanwhile, injuries to key players could have lasting NHL implications, highlighting why teams remain cautious about international tournaments. And with the NHL Trade Deadline approaching, speculation swirls around the futures of Brayden Schenn and even Binnington—whose stock has certainly risen in the past 2 weeks.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Many methods of deciding drawn cup ties have been tried done the years, from drawing lots and tossing coins to penalty shootouts and the golden goal, which was a part of the Euros in 1996 and 2000. In the latter tournament, France rescued themselves from seemingly certain defeat, equalising against Italy in the 93rd minute of normal time before going on to win it with David Trezeguet's extra-time golden goal. But what would VAR say about such shenanigans these days? Rob Fletcher and Gary Thacker look for an answer.
Programleder: Eivind Eidslott Hosted on Acast. Programleder: Sivert MoeSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/anger. Also, Bühne frei und welcome back: Oliver Bierhoff!

On this episode, the boys are joined by one of the best goaltenders of his generation, Ryan Miller. During one of the best individual hockey seasons in NHL history, Miller won the Vezina as the best NHL goaltender, a silver medal for Team USA, and Olympic MVP in 2010, while amazingly being on the losing side. He won all but 4 games for Buffalo that year, posting a save percentage of 92.9% in a ridiculous 69 games played. We get into his legendary Olympic run, his run-in with Lucic, squaring off at center ice and much more. Before the interview, the boys get into the Will Smith/Chris Rock hysteria, the Wild's (good) goalie problem, and Matthews vs Draisaitl. Enjoy our sit down with Buffalo and USA hockey legend Ryan Miller on this edition of The Cam & Strick Podcast.
