Veteran crew chief Kevin "Bono" Manion sits down with Davey Segal (8:15) to discuss his illustrious career in NASCAR that has seen him work with close to 50 drivers, win multiple championships, crowned jewel races and currently with Rev Racing and Nick Sanchez in the Truck Series, where they already have two wins to their credit in 2024. Bono explains what makes Sanchez so good in qualifying, why the consistency the No. 2 team has showed, the stop/start nature of the Truck Series schedule and reflects on being in the sport for over two decades. He also dives into his upbringing in Massachusetts, who he started racing with, moving down south on a whim with Tommy Baldwin and the friends and racers that lived with the duo down in NC. Bono wound up winning in his first ever start as a crew chief, at Daytona of all places, with Dale Earnhardt Jr. as the driver. He reflects on that day and getting paired up with Martin Truex Jr. at Chance 2 Motorsports (which he was hand picked to help start), where they won back-to-back championships to begin his full-time crew chiefing career. Bono and MTJ then moved up to the Cup Series together before Jamie McMurray came into the picture. Remember that storybook 2010 season? Bono does too, but it wasn't all good, as he explains. He also touches on what made working at DEI so special, what working at so many different teams taught him as a crew chief, why he enjoys where he's at in the Truck Series with Spire/Rev, being the class clown of the team and pulling pranks on his people, expectations for the No. 2 team for the rest of 2024, what else he wants to accomplish in his NASCAR career and where the nickname "Bono" actually derived from. Papa Segal pays homage to Ernie Irvan and Davey discusses Austin Cindric's surprise Gateway win, NASCAR granting Kyle Larson a playoff waiver and looks ahead to Sonoma.

Stamford Chidge & Jonathan Kydd are joined by Dan Silver and Mark Meehan to look ahead to Tuesday night's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Middlesbrough,In part one, Mark reports back from the Chelsea Pitch Owners AGM, held on Friday and discusses what was said and where next in a very important time for the Club and CPO with a stadium redevelopment or move in the offing. In part two we welcome back Dylan Polk from Carefree Louisiana to talk about their forthcoming annual 'Bluesday' event in New Orleans, centred around the Chelsea v Wolves match, his view on this season and a view on the American ownership from the US supporter's perspective. In part three we preview the Chelsea v Middlesbrough match starting with JK's summary of today's presser and Chidge's team selection. Will Boro target Colwill again – should Chilly start? What do we do up front given we need to win by 2 goals? Will Chelsea rise to the occasion like they did v Newcastle with a Wembley final and an incredible home record v Middlesbrough to uphold? It's genuinely massive tomorrow and kicks off a big 10 days for Chelsea with Boro in the Carabao Cup; Villa in the FA Cup and Liverpool in the Premier League. Will we find our way in to another Cup final and closer to another one or dip out of both in a week like we did 30 years ago? We wrap up with how we see the match going and our predictions. And on a sad final note, mark the passing of Tommy Baldwin, one of the King's of the Kings Road team of the late 1960's and early 1970's. Tommy was well loved by Chelsea supporters, was affectionately known as 'The Sponge' and was lauded with a brilliant song. Let's hope the Pearly Gates serenade him with a fine rendition of "His name is Tommy Baldwin, he's the leader of the team...". Farewell Tommy, thanks for the memories and Rest in Peace. They had flair and entertained on the pitch and did likewise off it; drinking in the Kings Road with actors and actresses every night; a real showbiz team.Such is the esteem in which Baldwin is held by Chelsea supporters, a terrace chant created in his honour many years ago is still sung regularly to this day. ‘His name is Tommy Baldwin, he's the leader of the team…' very few who saw him play would argue with that and we all know what would happen if you did! The Chelsea FanCast looks back, season by season, to 50 Years of Chelsea history from 1970 to the present day.Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd and Rick Glanvill, Chelsea's official historian and author of ‘Chelsea: The Complete Record' to look back at the 1973-74 season. The downward spiral and the end of the ‘Kings of the Kings Road' team, recent FA Cup and European Cup Winners Cup winners, hastened this season. In truth, the writing had been on the wall for a season or two, but this season it came tumbling down as Peter Osgood and Alan Hudson were both transfer listed and eventually sold to Southampton and Stoke City respectively. Peter Bonetti and Tommy Baldwin were dropped, John Dempsey was on his way out and fed up with the situation at the club, David Webb wanted out too.A poor start to the season saw Chelsea soon heading toward the bottom of the table. There were injury problems and a striker problem too. Set against a backdrop of financial issues caused by the building of the new East Stand, the energy crisis in the country leading to a 3-day working week and falling crowds, Chelsea avoided relegation just. They finished 17th, one point and three places above relegation and the 3-0 win against Burnley which confirmed this was the lowest attendance since 1938 with only 8,171 in attendance. With systemic dysfunction, anarchy and chaos at Stamford Bridge, it was no surprise to see Dave Sexton, Chelsea's most successful manager at that point, relieved of his duties at the end of the season. To help us celebrate 50 Years of Chelsea we've partnered with 3Retro who have a superb collection of Chelsea retro gear and are offering 10% OFF when you use the 3RETRO10 code and if you order over £50 of merch you get FREE UK delivery.
