Unbeknownst to them, their coworker, 24-year-old YouTuber Randy Stair, coldly barricaded the store's exits as he prepared for a brutal massacre with chilling determination. Moments later, Randy removed his shotgun and unleashed a horrifying wave of violence, shooting and killing three innocent people before turning the gun on himself. In the days leading up to this absolutely devastating tragedy, Randy broadcasted his dark intentions on his YouTube channel, revealing his twisted plan for destruction and exposing the depths of his pain and inner turmoil. This horrific event is not only about the shocking crime Randy executed, but the years of silent suffering and escalating darkness that drove him to that fateful moment. We've all felt the impact of rising prices, but you might be surprised to learn that one in nine people in Central Pennsylvania face food insecurity, including one in seven children. Plus, 58% of our neighbors who seek charitable food have a paying job. Joe Arthur Chief Executive Officer with the Central PA Food Bank says food insecurity is at an all time high in Central Pa. "We thought that four years after the pandemic started that we would be in a better position with respect to hunger. And that's not really the case. We're actually serving as many people now, actually a bit more in terms of individuals coming for help than we were even in 2021 at the height of the pandemic. So unfortunately, with inflation and many of the other challenges, challenges hitting families, we're at this really high level of need and we're really just trying to make sure the public understands that." WITF is proud to partner with Weis Markets, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and you for our Annual Day of Foodraising on November 14. For each dollar you contribute to WITF today through November 14, Weis Markets will match it – up to $35,000 – with a donation of food to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank CLICK HERE to donate.Support WITF: https://www.witf.org/support/give-now/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

While ecommerce and social media have certainly made shopping easier, they also have made it a bit overwhelming. With instant access to so many brands and products, it's difficult for consumers to easily weigh options and find the best, safest product. This is especially true if they're shopping for babies. Brands like Lalo are attempting to change all that, and they're seeing a surge in growth as a result. During this week's Retail Remix, the company's co-founders, Greg Davidson and Michael Wieder, share the brand's story, including how: Content and community are helping build brand trust and credibility; Influencer and customer fans (including Khloe Kardashian) are creating a powerful ripple effect for demand and growth; and A combination of entertainment, unique services and community partnerships is helping Lalo break into brick-and-mortar retail.
