María Santos repasa todas las noticias del sector. 1.- Unión de Uniones de Agricultores y Ganaderos ha reclamado durante la reunión convocada por el Ministerio de Agricultura para abordar el Plan 2026 de Seguros Agrarios Combinados el que se incorpore "cuanto antes" la siniestralidad extraordinaria por el cambio climático, según informa en un comunicado. En concreto, la organización agraria ha recordado durante esta reunión que, dentro del documento de las 43 medidas acordadas por el Ministerio en marzo de 2024, los puntos 27, 28, 29 y 30 incluían compromisos concretos relacionados con el sistema de seguros agrarios que aún no se han materializado plenamente. En particular, el punto 27 establecía la creación de instrumentos complementarios para hacer frente a la siniestralidad extraordinaria derivada del cambio climático, como las Danas, sequías o inundaciones, una medida que sigue pendiente de desarrollo. 2.-El Ministerio de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación ha publicado este martes en el Boletín Oficial del Estado (BOE) varias modificaciones en las normas de ordenación de la flota pesquera y de los títulos profesionales del sector con el objetivo de modernizar la misma y promover el relevo generacional. 3.- Entre las principales novedades de esta reforma figura la introducción de facilidades para la obtención del título de patrón costero polivalente y la reducción de 12 a 9 metros la eslora mínima de los buques en los que se pueden realizar los embarques necesarios para obtener el título. "Esta medida, muy demandada por el sector, favorece el desarrollo de la carrera profesional y facilita la incorporación de nuevas generaciones a la actividad pesquera, lo que garantiza la continuidad de un sector estratégico para la economía azul española", subraya el Ministerio. Asimismo, el nuevo marco regulador facilita y abarata las obras de modernización y los cambios de motor en los buques pesqueros, al tiempo que establece un procedimiento más ágil para regularizar embarcaciones con exceso de potencia, lo que permite que continúen operando una vez completado el trámite. 4.- La reserva hídrica española baja de nuevo: esta semana pierde 0,3 puntos y llega al 51,3 % de su capacidad total, con 28.745 hectómetros cúbicos (hm3) almacenados en los embalses. La Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (Aemet) confirmó que el pasado miércoles 29 fue el más lluvioso de sus registros en un mes de octubre, superando lo recogido el 31 de octubre de 1968 (86,2 litros por metro cuadrado) y, a pesar de lo ello, los embalses han registrado de nuevo esta bajada en sus reservas. Media docena de cuencas aumentaron su caudal durante los últimos días, especialmente las de Tinto, Odiel y Piedras (con un incremento del 1,8 %) y Galicia Costa (1,2 %), pero también Segura (0,3 %), Guadalquivir (0,2 %), Júcar (0,1 %) y Guadiana (0,1 %).

Va a tener lugar este fin de semana (viernes, sábado y domingo) 7, 8 y 9 de noviembre en el Palacio de Convenciones del Recinto Ferial de la Casa de Campo. Repaso de la actualidad agroalimentaria con Agrobank. 1.- El Ministerio de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación ha remitido a la Comisión Europea (CE) un plan de vacunación contra el virus de la dermatosis nodular contagiosa ampliado a nuevas comarcas de Cataluña y Aragón tras la aparición de 18 focos en explotaciones ganaderas de la provincia de Girona. En concreto, Agricultura ha explicado que la autorización de la CE es una "condición imprescindible" para aplicar la vacuna contra esta nueva enfermedad que afecta al ganado bovino a nivel nacional. Actualmente, el radio de vacunación aprobado, de 50 kilómetros desde los 18 focos detectados en la provincia de Girona, abarca 2.003 explotaciones con 152.892 cabezas de ganado, según han explicado fuentes del departamento a Europa Press. Con el plan, que debe recibir el visto bueno de la CE, se quieren alcanzar otros 369.323 animales repartidos por 2.164 explotaciones de una veintena de comarcas catalanas, así como 685 fincas con 86.386 vacas de tres comarcas de Aragón. 2.- La montanera del cerdo ibérico -época en la que el animal se alimenta de hierba y bellota en la dehesa- está arrancando y lo hace con buenas perspectivas en cuanto a la carga de bellota y a la calidad de la misma pero a expensas de que lleguen más lluvias para que la campaña incluso pueda mejorar su pronóstico. El presidente de la interprofesional del cerdo ibérico (Asici), Raúl García, ha asegurado que están siguiendo "con atención" la evolución de las dehesas, a la espera de la generalización de las lluvias otoñales. Son unas precipitaciones "fundamentales" para que la bellota "complete su desarrollo, gane calibre y calidad, y para que el campo recupere la hierba, que tan necesaria es para complementar la alimentación de los animales". En todo caso, las previsiones que les trasladan los operadores del sector "son, en general, positivas" porque se observa "una buena disposición de fruto en los árboles". 3.- El Producto Interior Bruto (PIB) de la agricultura, ganadería, silvicultura y pesca de España retrocedió un 0,4 % en el tercer trimestre de 2025 respecto al segundo, según ha informado en su avance el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE). Este descenso es menor al registrado en la comparativa intertrimestral del segundo trimestre respecto a enero-marzo, que fue del -6,6 %. En la comparativa interanual, el PIB agrícola retrocedió un 2,2 %, frente a la estabilidad (0 %) registrada en el primer trimestre de este ejercicio. 4.- El Foro Ganadero Cárnico, que está formado por las interprofesionales de Asici, Avianza, Intercun, Interovic, Interporc y Provacuno, lanza una campaña para poner en valor y reivindicar la casquería. Las organizaciones presentan el 'Mapa de la Casquería Española', una herramienta digital que reúne a los restaurantes, bares y carnicerías que trabajan con estos productos y lo hacen coincidiendo con la celebración este miércoles del 'Día Mundial de la Casquería'. La campaña busca poner en valor este producto desde una mirada cultural, sostenible y moderna, reivindicando su lugar en la cocina actual y su contribución a un modelo alimentario más responsable. los españoles consumieron en 2023 cerca de 29.500 toneladas de casquería, por un valor aproximado de 184 millones de euros, lo que supuso un incremento del 8% respecto al año anterior. 5.- La reserva hídrica almacena 29.910 hectómetros cúbicos (hm3), por lo que está al 51,6% de su capacidad, según datos del Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico (MITECO). En comparación con la semana pasada, los embalses han perdido 296 hm3, o lo que es lo mismo, el 0,5% de su capacidad. El Segura sigue siendo la cuenca con menos agua almacenada, al 18,6% de su capacidad. En la última semana, las precipitaciones han sido abundantes en la vertiente Atlántica y han afectado en menor medida a la vertiente Mediterránea. En concreto, la máxima se ha producido en Navacerrada, donde se han recogido 71,8 litros por metro cuadrado (l/m2). En lo que respecta a las cuencas, las que están por encima del 50% son el Cantábrico Oriental (65,8%), el Cantábrico Occidental (58%), el Miño-Sil (54%), las Cuencas internas del País Vasco (76,2%), el Duero (52,7%), el Tajo (56,9%), el Guadiana (57,6%), el Tinto, Odiel y Piedras (62,4%), el Ebro (52,4%) y las Cuencas internas de Cataluña (73,1%).

Douro Tinto is often called a “Steakhouse Wine” but that really doesn't do it justice. This fabulous wine from the Douro region of Portugal - an area most famous for the fortified wine Port - is a rich, smooth, and lovely drinking wine that needs to be on your table. Grown on very steep hillsides, the variety of the grapes in the blend can include up to 50 varieties, but the majority of the blend is usually Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz - which is the Portuguese name for Tempranillo, most famously in Rioja wines from Spain. Because of the wide-variety of grapes used, the blends can vary, but overall you can expect a lush, juicy wine with enough acidity that it pairs amazingly well with food. If you are looking for an alternative to your rich Syrah or Bordeaux or Napa Cab, and you want a wine with more balance and less punch-you-in-the-face oak, Douro Tinto is a wine you have to seek out. The Nechako River was one of the main tributaries of the Fraser until the Kenney Dam was built in the 1950s. The dam diverted most of the river's flow to power Rio Tinto Alcan's aluminum smelter in Kitimat, severely impacting the lives of the local Stellat'en and Saik'uz Nations. Nechako is a new film that documents years of resistance by the two Nations, including a groundbreaking legal proceeding against the Canadian government and Rio Tinto Alcan that continues to this day. Situada principalmente en lo que hoy es la baja Andalucía y Extremadura, su influencia se extendió por las actuales provincias de Huelva, Sevilla, Badajoz y Cádiz, abarcando también el sur de Portugal. Este pueblo, conocido por su riqueza y avanzada cultura, es mencionado en textos antiguos como los de Heródoto, quien lo relaciona con el mítico rey Argantonio, un gobernante longevo y sabio. La economía de Tartessos se basaba en la explotación de los ricos recursos minerales de la región, especialmente el cobre, el oro y la plata, que extraían de las minas de la Sierra Morena y el Río Tinto. Su habilidad para la metalurgia los convirtió en expertos artesanos, creando joyas y objetos que comerciaban con otras culturas del Mediterráneo, como los fenicios y los griegos. El comercio marítimo fue clave para su prosperidad y llegaron a tener escritura propia, conocida como la escritura tartésica, aún no descifrada. Los tartesios fueron también grandes artistas, combinaban elementos autóctonos con influencias orientales. Sus ciudades estaban organizadas y contaban con murallas y templos. El declive de Tartessos se atribuye a diversos factores, como conflictos internos, el agotamiento de recursos o la presión de pueblos invasores como los cartagineses y los celtas. A pesar de su desaparición, su legado perdura en la arqueología y la historia. Credit: Bodegas Ontañón Facebook Page   This time, Raquel Pérez Cuevas, 4th generation family member of Bodegas Ontañón joins to tell us about Rioja Oriental (formerly Rioja Baja). Raquel is an agricultural engineer and oenologist, and has traveled the world presenting the beautiful wines of Ontañón.   Ontañón is one of the most highly regarded and best wineries in Rioja. The family started as growers that sold to large companies but in the 1980s, they started making their own wines, breaking with tradition and most of their neighbors in Oriental at the time. The Perez Cuevas family are unique in that they 250ha of vineyards, in around the village of Quel (which Raquel discusses a lot in the show). Their vineyards are also unique because they sit very high in the mountains, even higher than the vineyards of Alta in Alavesa.   In this show, Raquel tells us about Oriental, the differences between the region and Alta and Alavesa, the grapes that grow here (they are different from the other regions – there is much more diversity), and her perspective on what is happening in the region right now.
