Martwi muzycy, zgodnie z modus operandi doczekali się rozczłonkowania i pozbawienia całej krwi. Studio muzyczne to także punkt schadzek, a tak się składa, że pewien nieproszony gość już stoi u bram. Pozostaje zatem wypatrywać kolejnych znaków i zgonów, które tym razem mogą wydarzać się znacznie bliżej niż ktokolwiek mógłby się spodziewać. A znaki? My z zachwytem słuchamy Samosierry Jacka Kaczmarskiego a historia rechocze. Rechocze, gdyż podczas gdy nasi dzielni szwoleżerowie, z nadzieją na niepodległość w sercach, ochoczo wspierali Napoleona w podboju Hiszpanii i Portugalii, po drugiej stronie, za niepodległość iberyjskich narodów, bili się Irlandczycy, nierzadko siłą lub podstępem zwerbowani do Brytyjskiej armii. A właśnie tłem dla powstania bohaterki dzisiejszej gawędy jest wojna o półwysep iberyjski, czy jak na wyspach brytyjskich mówią „Peninsular War”. Wojnę o półwysep rozpętał Napoleon w 1807 roku, trwała do 1814. Hiszpanom i Portugalczykom w pokonaniu francuskiego dyktatora znacznie pomogli Brytyjczycy. Posłużyli się przy tym podbitymi narodami. Na półwysep Iberyjski wysłali m.in. 100 tys. Irlandczyków. Byli oni wcieleni do armii podstępem, siłą albo wstępowali żeby uniknąć skrajnej biedy.  I wielu z nich nie wróciło. Lub wróciło okaleczonych. Historię jednego z nich opowiada ballada „Mrs. McGrath”, piosenka opowiada o matce czekającej 7 lat na powrót syna z wojny. Kobieta wypytuje kapitanów statków zawijających do portu czy nie widzieli przypadkiem jej syna - Teda. W końcu Ted wraca - niestety kula armatnia pozbawiła go obu nóg. Autor piosenki jest nieznany, pojawiła się około 1815 roku jako dublińska broadside. Pierwszy raz opublikowana została w 1876 roku. Pierwsze nagrania pochodzą z połowy XX wieku, śpiewali ja The Weavers, Burl Ives, Pete Seeger i Tommy Makem. Melodia jak na tak tragiczną opowieść jest dość skoczna. Ale to już znamy. Podobnie było w przypadku Johnny I Hardly Knew Ya. Zresztą  - obie piosenki skończyły za oceanem jako marsze wojskowe. W rytm Pani McGrath podczas wojny secesyjnej maszerowały Irlandzkie regimenty po obu stronach konfliktu. Ale piosenka była przede wszystkim popularna oczywiście w Irlandii. Podobno znał ją na pamięć każdy rodowity dublińczyk. Podczas powstania wielkanocnego w 1916 roku zyskała status hymnu powstańców. Powoli stała się również pieśnią antywojenną. W 2. połowie XX wieku pojawiły się skrócone wersje Pani McGrath, z nieco zmienionym tekstem, bardziej skoncentrowanym na tragicznym losie syna. W zależności od imienia syna nosiły różne tytuły, „My son John” czy też „My son Tim”. John był wysoki i szczupły, Tim był kumplem bosmana, jeden i drugi stracił obie nogi. Nowe wersje różniły się od oryginału mniej skoczną melodią. Zyskały z czasem wielu wykonawców. Ale to nie koniec historii Pani McGrath. W 2006 roku Bruce Springsteen postanowił płytą oddać hołd wielkiej postaci światowego folku Pete Seegerowi. Nagrał wspaniałą płytę z piosenkami spopularyzowanymi przez Seegera. No i wziął  się za Panią Mc Grath. I ją przerobił, po swojemu. I powstało dzieło. Przejmujący tekst zyskał w końcu przejmująca melodię. A u nas? A u nas w 2010 roku, w styczniu świetny folkowy album „Na wygnaniu” wydał zespół Perły i Łotry, a w zasadzie Prawdziwe Perły bo pod taka nazwą wtedy funkcjonował. A na płycie znalazło się miejsce dla Pani McGrath. Tekst przetłumaczył Michał Doktor Gramatyka, muzykę zespół zaczerpnął z wersji Springsteena. Nie doczytałem kto dokonał aranżacji, ale Pani McGrath stanowi prawdziwą perełkę na tej wspaniałej płycie. While praise may seem obvious at Thanksgiving, let's look at it from some slightly different angles this month, starting with these first couple verses in Psalm 146. Seek the Lord about what He wants to say to you about praise and thanksgiving!WHAT:  What is God saying through this Scripture? This psalm which models intentional praise and thankfulness. Praise flowed from the author's innermost being, and this person pledged to praise, not just for a day or holiday, but for all life long. ~ Do you praise God from your very core; why or why not? How long have you praised Him? What are some of the things this psalmist praised God for in Psalm 146? WHY:  Why does this Scripture matter? Praise changes the focus of our hearts, gets our eyes off ourselves and sets our attention on the One who can help us. Praise will change our hearts from bitter to better, from hopeless to happy, from grumbling to grateful. ~ Are you more grumbling or grateful? Ya encarando su carrera musical, en noviembre de 2019 realizó junto con Bizarrap la “BZRP Freestyle sessions, Vol. 7”, y luego en marzo de 2020 participó nuevamente del ciclo haciendo “BZRP Music session Vol. 24” que juntas superan los 350 millones de streams globales. Entre sus temas se destacan “Mil Puertas”, “A Mi Lado” y su primer single “21334”. También cuenta con colaboraciones con C.R.O en “Normal” y con Lit Killah en “Dime”. En octubre 2022 lanza su álbum debut “La Melodía”, que cuenta con la participación de destacados representantes del trap argentino como Duki, Trueno y Tiago PZK.

Kelly, a shareholder at Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger and recent Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame inductee, shares how he secured justice for the first of thousands of victims of a defectively designed medical device. On December 5, 2007, U.S. Air Force veteran Loren "Bill" Kransky underwent hip surgery in Montana, receiving a DePuy ASR Acetabular Hip System orthopedic implant. DePuy, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, first put the ASR Acetabular Hip System on the market in Europe in 2004, and soon after began receiving notifications from prominent surgeons that the device was flawed. Despite receiving these notifications, DePuy continued to market the metal implant as a low-wear product that required only one surgery and failed to report product issues to American doctors. On August 4, 2010, a recall was issued and the Depuy ASR Acetabular Hip System was labeled as defective, but the damage was already done for millions of patients, including Loren. Following the recall, Loren underwent revision surgery to have the implant removed because it was shedding metal debris into the tissue of his hip and bloodstream. In March 2013, a Los Angeles jury returned a verdict in favor of Loren, awarding $8,338,136.12 in damages for the pain caused by the defective design and ultimately helping to facilitate a $2.5 billion national settlement for all victims.  Click Here to Read/Download Trial Documents   Guest Bio: Michael A. Kelly Mike Kelly is one of the nation's top personal injury attorneys.
