Gunna, who is also signed to the 300 Entertainment label imprint, was released from jail last week after pleading guilty to a racketeering charge. The rapper, born Sergio Kitchens, issued a statement via his lawyers explaining that his “Alford plea,” which allows him to accept a plea while maintaining his innocence, was in his best interest after having been detained since his arrest in May. “When I became affiliated with YSL in 2016, I did not consider it a ‘gang'; more like a group of people from metro Atlanta who had common interests and artistic aspirations,” Kitchens said in his statement. “My focus of YSL was entertainment — rap artists who wrote and performed music that exaggerated and ‘glorified' urban life in the Black community.” itchens was sentenced to five years in prison with one year commuted to time served and the other four suspended on the condition that he complete 500 hours of community service. He also made clear in a statement that he would not cooperate with prosecutors going forward, including during the trial scheduled to begin Jan. 9, 2023. A source with knowledge of the ongoing case recently told Rolling Stone that the rapper will not be called to testify against any of the defendants during the trial. YSL member Walter Murphy, who Fulton County prosecutors claim founded YSL as a gang alongside Young Thug and others, took a plea deal in the case, as well. Murphy agreed to “testify truthfully in any further trial as it may become necessary,” with his 10-year sentence to break down as one year of time served and the remaining nine on probation. Rappers SlimeLife Shawty and Lil Duke also accepted plea deals. Following his release, the former explained via Instagram Stories that his admittance that YSL is a gang does not qualify as snitching, writing: “It ain't illegal for no group to be a gang look it up that don't hurt nobody anyone can be a gang, plus the founder already admitted it.” He also entered a guilty plea for one count of conspiracy to violate RICO. Cette musique disco a aussi contribué à rendre le film culte, film de John Badham qui a lancé la carrière de John Travolta. Mais est-ce que vous vous souvenez qu'on entend aussi du Beethoven dans "La fièvre du samedi soir" ? Il s'agit du 1er mouvement de la 5ème symphonie. On ne l'entend pas tel quel dans le film, mais en version disco. Cet instrumental a été arrangé par le musicien Walter Murphy. Even though he was at the top of his game Stevie Wonder almost retired to work with handicapped children in Ghana before this album was made. Instead, he signed what was then the largest recording deal in history, and released what many consider the best of his classic era — the double album Songs in the Key of Life. This album was released in late September, debuted at number 1 (the first artist other than Elton John to do so), and remained there for 13 weeks.“Songs in the Key of Life” was nominated for seven Grammy Awards in 1977, and won Album of the Year, returning Wonder to the stage for the third time after his wins in 1974 and 1975. The album is full of passion and politics, jazz and funk, and can be nostalgic or melancholy without losing an upbeat feel all the way through. This album really gives you a sense of the multi-talented artist, singer, songwriter, keyboardist, harmonica player, and producer that is Stevie Wonder. He surely has been an influence in Rock and Roll and we are pleased to present this amazing work.I WishThis is the lead-off single from the album. It was released a month after the album hit the stores, and takes a nostalgic look back on Wonder's childhood in the 1950's and early 60's.AsIt was a full year after the album was released that this song made its appearance as a single. The song describes how long the singer's love will last in terms like “until the dolphin flies and parrots live at sea...until the day that eight times eight times eight is four.” It flips between major and minor keys, but maintains its positive attitude throughout.Summer SoftA deeper cut, this track uses the metaphor of summer and winter to describe loss and transience in relationships. McCartney references members of his real family in this song, then includes Martin Luther, Phil and Don (The Everly Brothers), Uncle Ernie (from the rock opera "Tommy").“Getaway” by Earth, Wind, & FireBrian's staff pick returns to some funky R&B from Earth, Wind & Fire's album “Spirit.” The song was written for a flute player named Bobbi Humphrey, but the demo never made it to her.“Lowdown” by Boz ScaggsBruce features the first major hit from Boz Scaggs. It was co-written by Scaggs and his keyboardist David Paich. Scaggs' session musicians would later on form the band Toto. Composer Sherri Chung has quickly established herself as a prominent voice in the industry with her storytelling talents. After scoring many short films as well as being an orchestrator for Walter Murphy on shows like Family Guy and The Cleveland Show, Sherri began to work with Blake Neely. She has worked as an additional composer on shows like Blindspot, Arrow, and Supergirl. Sherri is currently is the co-composer of Riverdale with Blake Neely and you can catch her music on the recent album release for Crisis On Earth X, exclusively on La-La Land Records. The massive CW / DC four-part 2017 television crossover event showcases a score composed by Blake Neely, Nathanial Blume, Daniel Chan and Sherri Chung. This interview was a fantastic opportunity to talk to Sherri about her journey to becoming a composer and to explore her approach. From indie classics Swingers and Go to big budget blockbusters The Bourne Identity and Edge Of Tomorrow, Doug Liman is a director who makes a point of thrusting the viewer into the very heart of the action. His musical selections are central to the experience - as evidenced by the Oakenfold track which so memorably accompanied the exhilarating car chase in Bourne, and accompanies Edith's intro. Doug's latest film is American Made. It's based on the life of Barry Seal, a commercial pilot who became a drug smuggler in the 1980s and was recruited later on by the DEA to provide intelligence. The film is scored by Christophe Beck, who has very kindly sent us a couple of his cues from the film to exclusively feature in this episode. They're not available anywhere yet, so MASSIVE thanks to him. But as well as Christophe's original compositions, American Made also features a rip-roaring array of needle-drops from the 70s and 80s, including tracks by George Harrison, Talking Heads and the one which opens up the conversation - A Fifth Of Beethoven by Walter Murphy

Roller skating in 1979 was huge and it was great fun. I remember everyone rushing out to the floor on certain songs, and not being able to skate backwards.
