A new energetic phenomenon is occurring with the advent of the internet and on-line computer technology and that is the intensity of absorbable astral energies and even entities that can be exposed to our consciousness and subtle body system. If we realize on a positive note that we can do healing sessions through Zoom and on-line platforms, in a similar and perhaps unconscious fashion, we can be absorbing other types of energies and frequencies every time we log onto the web and surf various internet websites, email messages, social media sites, webpage browsers, and on-line videos to name some possibilities. All of these are strong astral (emotional and mental) thought forms and morphic fields which influence our consciousness and seven subtle bodies. This 50 minute healing session is meant to be used to clear our seven subtle bodies and in particular the astral bodies (emotional and mental bodies) of all internet influences that are detrimental or non-enhancing to our well-being. Some of these may be energies and influences that are part and parcel of working on the internet. This energy session may be like taking a shower after a long day outside at work. Some other energies may be more harmful and need a deeper cleansing. This session can also handle these types of influences. The first 10 minutes of the healing session will be a quick cleanse. The full 50 minute session will be a thorough cleansing. Then in the future using the recordings you can either use the first 10 minutes to do a daily efficient and quick clearing after being on the internet or the full 50 minutes for a deeper clearing if needed. Below are some of the aspects that can be cleared: 1) Possible astral entities and spiritual beings that come through the internet and the strong morphic fields created by the consciousness of web pages created by millions of viewers or people interacting through these sites 2) Crystallized astral thought forms from the internet 3) Astral energies from the internet 4) Higher detrimental influences that may be coming through at the causal and spiritual level from the internet --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/gene-ang/support

Welcome, Junior Wizards! This week, we are inspired by the prompt "Prompt: the whispered secrets have never been told, because few who hear can remember them long enough to do so" to create a BIG world detail! Ethereal Shards. Crystallized fragments containing the thoughts of being who created our universe. To hear them all would tell the grand narrative of the cosmos. But if a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
The theme this week on the Retirement Quick Tips Podcast is: 5 Lessons from the book: From Strength to Strength by Arthur Brooks Today, I'm continuing from yesterday to talk about the primary theme in this book - which is jumping off the fluid intelligence curve on the crystallized intelligence curve. Our fluid intelligence, which is our ability to reason, think flexibly, and solve novel problems, declines as we age, and if you're in your 50s or 60s like most of you are listening to this podcast, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your fluid intelligence peaked decades ago. That's the hard truth, but the good news is that our crystallized intelligence increases as we age. So if we can stop the futile exercise of fighting against the decline of our fluid intelligence, and look for ways to embrace and use our growing crystallized intelligence, we'll be more fulfilled and happy as we age. In fact, the author notes that “the people who are happiest and most satisfied in their fifties, sixties, and seventies are those who made this leap [from the fluid intelligence curve to the crystallized intelligence curve].” Knowing the types of activities and careers that utilize our crystallized intelligence most are key to successfully getting off the fluid intelligence curve and hopping on the crystallized intelligence curve. That's because, according to the book “if your career requires crystallized intelligence—or if you can repurpose your professional life to rely more on crystallized intelligence—your peak will come later but your decline will happen much, much later, if ever.” Careers that involve teaching, mentoring, leadership, speaking and writing, are far more satisfying for us as we age, because crystallized intelligence is our ability to use a stock of knowledge learned in the past. So anything that allows us to share our knowledge and experience to teach others as we see noticeable declines in our fluid intelligence will be the most rewarding and meaningful. That's it for today. Thanks for listening! The theme this week on the Retirement Quick Tips Podcast is: 5 Lessons from the book: From Strength to Strength by Arthur Brooks Today, I'm talking about the most important concept that can be applied to your life from the book “From Strength to Strength”. The author spends a lot of time in the early part of the book discussing the 2 types of intelligence: fluid and crystallized. Fluid intelligence is our ability to reason, think flexibly, and solve novel problems. Our fluid intelligence declines as we age, and it peaks very early in life - late teens to early 20s. Then it starts a slow decline that becomes more noticeable by middle age. According to the book our “prefrontal cortex degrades in effectiveness, and this has several implications. The first is that rapid analysis and creative innovation will suffer. The second is that some specific, once-easy skills become devilishly hard, like multitasking.” “Another skill is the recall of names and facts. By the time you are fifty, your brain is as crowded with information as the New York Public Library. Meanwhile, your personal research librarian is creaky, slow, and easily distracted. When you send him to get some information you need—say, someone's name—he takes a minute to stand up, stops for coffee, talks to an old friend in the periodicals, and then forgets where he was going in the first place. Meanwhile, you are kicking yourself for forgetting something you have known for years. When the librarian finally shows back up and says, “That guy's name is Mike,” Mike is long gone and you are doing something else.” That is the decline of your fluid intelligence. Thankfully the other type of intelligence, crystallized intelligence, actually increases with age, and if we can use more of our crystallized intelligence and rely less on our fluid intelligence as we age, we will be happier and much less frustrated. Crystallized intelligence is defined as the ability to use a stock of knowledge learned in the past. What happens as your crystallized intelligence increases as you age is multifaceted. Studies show that “people maintain and grow their vocabulary—in their native languages and foreign languages—all the way to the end of life. Similarly, you may notice that with age, people are better at combining and utilizing complex ideas. You get better at using the concepts you know and expressing them to others. “When you are young, you can generate lots of facts; when you are old, you know what they mean and how to use them.” The key is using these changes in our intelligence to jump off the declining fluid intelligence curve onto the growing crystallized intelligence curve. In other words - going from strength to strength. That's it for today. Thanks for listening! On this episode of Emerge Dynamics we're talking about objectives, which is the next step in working through our dream planning framework. We've already discussed mission and purpose, and now it's time to move onto the next important aspect. Dream planning is a lot like strategic planning, but it is more focused on the perspective...

The theme this week on the Retirement Quick Tips Podcast is: A Phased Retirement…Is It Right For You? Today, I'm talking about using your crystallized intelligence effectively for a happier phased retirement. Now if you aren't familiar with the term, crystallized intelligence, it's important that you know what it is, because it has important implications for being happy in your late-working years. There's 2 types of intelligence - fluid intelligence and crystallized intelligence. Fluid intelligence refers to the ability to reason and think flexibly. Crystallized intelligence refers to the accumulation of knowledge, facts, and skills that are acquired throughout life. At nearly 15 years in to my career as a financial advisor, believe it or not, I'm nearing the peak of my fluid intelligence in my career. If I stay in this career another 20 years, I will definitely start to see some noticeable declines in my fluid intelligence. But that's ok, because even though fluid intelligence declines for all of us and earlier than we think, crystallized intelligence actually increases with age. Many aspects of fluid intelligence peak in adolescence and begin to decline progressively beginning around age 30 or 40. Jobs that require you to be at the peak of your fluid intelligence are often frustrating for older workers. As we age, we lose our edge and our ability to reason and deal with complex information. But that's ok, because this other aspect of our intelligence - crystallized intelligence - continues to increase with age. The key is working in a job, especially a job later in your career - that uses your crystallized intelligence and doesn't demand so much of what's left of your fluid intelligence. Examples of this would be a manager or a supervisor, where you have the opportunity. Jobs that involve speaking and teaching or writing are also good for using your crystallized intelligence, without the frustration of fighting against the decline of your fluid intelligence. That's it for today. Thanks for listening! #363: In our 20's and 30's, we have high levels of fluid intelligence, or raw intellectual horsepower. We can ace tests, impress people with our memory and recall, and analyze facts, documents and data. But in our 40's and 50's, we have higher levels of crystallized intelligence, which allows us to draw together novel insights from across domains. Fluid intelligence allows us to analyze, or break apart. Crystallized intelligence allows us to synthesize, or put together. Each type of intelligence invites us to express different skills, to pivot our role at work – or perhaps even to change careers or industries altogether. In today's episode, Harvard professor Arthur Brooks discusses these two types of intelligence, and outlines how we can gracefully move from one strength to the next. Hello hello hello Welcome to another installment of Ink n Bones: Game Day. We will be jumping back into our game Lament of Serverance and starting in earnest. Before we can do so however let's discuss a few things. Namely, schedule, I'm currently producing bi weekly content, this will change to a weekly AP on Fridays and bi weekly commentary on Mondays as normal. I am still working some format kinks out and appreciate any feedback you have. If you are not apart of The Inkyard smash that subscribe button for your next Exceptional Yes and may the bones be ever in your favor. Already part of The Inkyard, share this with someone who'd enjoy it.Last TimeYou can check out our character creation here.Having played through a bit of backstory between Kal and Atliss.I had to make a decision do we keep with that theme or move directly into the story? Normally I like to build out a ton of backstory but I'd like to discover Kal along side you. So here are somethings we can infer starting out. Kal might have a chip on his shoulder. We also got a back story NPC Old Man Worthy. I've no idea where the story will take us but let's touch base with our Oracle and get started.Adventure SetupFirst let's roll up a scene setup Event focus; d100 -> [93] -> npc positiveMeaning; 2d100 -> [71, 78] -> trick massesSo our Event focus is an NPC Positive the Meaning is trick masses? We are going to interpret this but in order to do that I want to learn a bit more about this NPC. Let's go to the UNE supplement! 2d100 -> [55, 90] -> Elderly CharmerTheir motivation? 2d100 -> [66, 40] -> Persecute The ChurchOh boy 🤣 the dice are in kahoots today it seems. So an Elderly Charmer with a motive to Persecute the Church.Something good happened that furthers his motives to Persecute the Church. I'm 🤔 thinking it may not have been him who tricked the masses. From here on I'll be using the Mythic Variations Fate Check ✅ as a stand in for the fate chart oracle. Makes things a bit snappier. Here are the basics you need to know.Roll 3d10. 2d10 for your Fate die and 1d10 for your Chaos die. Adding modifiers for odds. Our Fate die must roll above an 11 for our answer to be yes.Was there something revealed about the church? Odds: Likely CF3 2d10+2+2 -> [5, 7]+2+2 -> Yess!!d10 -> [3] -> ExceptionalOh boy so we have to talk a little bit more about the CF here. When we roll within the Range of the CF which is ≤ 3 some things happen based on our Fate Die.If Fate Die are:Odd|Exceptional answer.Even|Random EventDoubles|Exceptional and RandomWhich for us this means this is an exceptional yes. What was revealed? Detail check CF3 2d10+2 -> [10, 7]+2 -> CalmAction meaning: 2d100 -> [65, 16] -> Inquire IntriguesDescriptor: 2d100 -> [6, 97] -> awkwardly warmAlrighty so our Scene Setup is Something was revealed about the church which furthers our elderly charmers motive of persecution of said church. Calm we will interpret as it being the neutrality of the church. Their truce is a falsehood of some kind. Oh I got it. This NPC has found evidence that the church uses some level of compulsion or suggestion to keep the peace amongst their followers. It is stripping people of their will and is used to extract secrets and information from the laymen and nobles alike. Pretty broad strokes, but I think this is a solid set up. Kal is newly out to adventure the world, so we'll say he is tasked with finding the one responsible for spreading these 'rumors' about mind control we'll see if there is any merit to it. This all reminds me of two very specific characters. So we will name this NPC Mindsrel Titanshard, why? We will be setting this in the starting city of Sericun Petrum. A city built in conjunction with my main group using Sorry Did You Say Street Magic and Ex Novo.(some of my favorite worldbuilding games) This description simply fits the narrative we have setup about Mindsrel, a bard who spends his days in front of the sanctuary orating on the folly of belief in the gods or the church. Having Contextualized everything we can jump into the narrative.SeriKal made his way into the city of Sericum Petrum with his Scalehound, Atliss in tow. The city wasn't overly big but it was pretty old, and densely populated. Atliss slipped a large tusk beneath Kal's arm and stayed tight at his heel. He'd been instructed to make his way to The Sanctuary, to begin his rite, the Lorn March, a pilgrimage out of the glade. Kalzussis was no stranger to the near by cities and towns of Cham Roulan and the southern Cimdel forest. He'd traveled to the Shimmering Lake and explored the grounds of the World Spire. He was a pain. The Lorn was sacred in its way, to leave the Glade possibly never to return, not to Kal. There was a pride about him that made it impossible for him not to want to make his mark. Here he was the youngest of his brood to venture on this path. He grinned and took in the sights. He was to meet with Rongar Primem the Keeper, at The Sanctuary. Impossible to miss, that's what Old man Worthy told him any way. A large ornate building with white smoke coming from the courtyard, smells of mint and vetiver. Can't follow the smoke, follow the smell. Granted even with clear instructions the amount of people made it hard to navigate to The Sanctuary, the street rats and urchins were out en mass looking to beg, or snatch what coin they could. Easily dissuaded with a bit of guile from Kal. Using Atliss as a scapegoat, offering rides instead of coin in exchange for a guide. Which made his journey that much longer. He didn't mind though, the children were knowledgeable in ways adults weren't. Pointing out the different landmarks of the city, places that had the best scraps, the nicest person in town Lady Shiversalt, and the spookiest people in Seri the Acolytes of Ego. Two of the small gaggle that'd been following him for the better part of the last two hours bolted when they saw the Acolytes."Rongar the Golden? That's what people call him?" Kal asked the little hobgoblin boy. The boy put out his hand wordlessly. Kal rolled his eyes and chuckled as he reached back into his pouch and pulled out a bit of cheese and a few more river stones. This had been their routine the past two hours, every few questions he needed to pay up. The kid drove a hard bargain. He bit into the river stone and then handed the cheese to Atliss as he pet him aimlessly. "Aye, that's what the Acolytes have started to call him. He's different, still nice, but different." He shrugged and looked up pulling at Kal's tunic. "That's him."At the gates to The Sanctuary stood two men some three to four decades his senior having what looked to be an argument."YOU WILL NOT SILENCE ME RONGAR! THE PEOPLE WILL KNOW. YOU ARE NO MORE A SAINT THAN I! YOU COWARD!" The flamboyantly dressed half elf spat at the mans feet. The man Kal assumed to be Rongar, an almond skinned Elderly Half- Orc, with golden eyes and golden hair, wisp of silvery white at his temples. The creases in his cheeks and around the eyes said he was used to laughing. Now he just looked tired."Mindsrel, you gossip. I have done you the kindness these few years of allowing you to continue your slander before The Sanctuary. We welcome all under the simple request they stay any grudges they may have at these gates.""YOU-” Rongar's hand snapped up, his eyes cold.“I was not finished," he gave a nod to some of the fellowship as they passed through the gate his eyes warm once again, "As I was saying, you can continue to spew your maladies as much as you like Howler5. The issue comes when it begins to stir commotion within these walls. There was yet another report of one of your ilk, defacing altars with false and inadequate sacrament." Rongar's face knotted “and in my opinion simply filthy.”“Simply means others are starting to learn the truth, Keeper, or should I start calling you The Golden One?" Said the half-elf.Rongar sighed and waved a hand dismissively. "Go Howler, there is no telling what might happen.""That a threat?""A warning that you have enemies and I am but an old fool who thinks you a friend, Howler Mindsrel. I can’t keep them from you if you press me so."Mindsrel scoffed and gave Rongar another once over.“Nor I yours from you…friend.” He gave a flourishing bow and walked away. He paused for a second and locked eyes with Kalzussis and gave a tip of his hat before he disappeared into the crowd. Kal turned to speak to the children who'd 'guided' him.only to see them pattering off after the Howler, who could be heard lifting into song. He chuckled to himself“Forest breeze upon you, I take it you are Rongar the Keeper of the Sanctuary? I am Kalzussis, child of Elava.” Kal said as he stepped forward to greet Rongar. Rongar stood with rubbing his temples visibly calming himself. He squinted and smiled exhaustedly.“Yes, I received a letter of your arrival a few days ago. Come, come there is much to discuss. Your companion is welcome within as well,” he said smiling at Atliss. Rongar bowed slightly in the Elava tradition of greeting and motioned for them to enter. Kalzussis made note of the of grey clad figures walking briskly with buckets down one hall.“Apologies for the commotion. There have been a number of problems with the Howler outside our gates as of late.” There came a shout from the hall Kal made note of. He could see Rongars almond cheeks flush. “Do pardon any distractions as best you can, we are currently in the process of clean up. Other wise your welcome would have been a proper Elav one.”Kal shook his head. He was never one for ceremony. “Im here to start my March tis all. A welcome is unnecessary.” he said“You could have gone any where to do that young Elav.” Rongar said “Are not all Lorn Marches started hear at The Sanctuary?” Kal asked.“Ah a misconception, at some point during your march you are to stop here to pay respects.” “Respects?” He asked a bit confusedRongar chuckled a bit, “They did mention you weren't exactly an Elav devout. Yes your respects to Eas-Azï that your passage and path be clear, where you step again you do so anew. Along thier travels many of the Elava happen to stop here often.”Kal nodded taking it in. He'd heard of plenty of his clan leave the glade to settle else where but he found it hard to believe they would settle in a city. They rounded a corner and down two flights of stairs before the floor plan opened up once again into another large courtyard. This one about half the size in length but what it lacked in length it made up for in depth. There were a full eight stories beneath him. He smiled at the massive Cimdel Iiappa,The Living Tree in the common tongue, the smell, like a taste of home.“That's a-” Kalzussis started.“An Iiappa,” Rongar finished, “that it is. As it grows members of your Clan and others like the followers of Itar. Come to prune it's branches. The wood is then used to fashion remedies and cure ailments. Your clan specifically is the only clan granted the privilege of fashioning weapons from this particular Tree. That is if she deems it so.”Kalzussis looked at Rongar with a raised eyebrow. “Is this where respects are paid as well?”“No, the altar is through that arch there. He pointed at the second floor.” He then pointed at the fourth floor. “Floors four through seven are lodging. Floor eight is kitchen and mess. The third floor is for those who have been accepted and only those who have been accepted.” Rongar said“Itano said he had no doubts about you. So you can relax.”Kal's smile faded, ‘Itano had been the one to write the letter?’ He thought He turned to Rongar holding his head a bit higher. “Direbone knows little about me. He may have raised me but he was no father.” Kal said.Rongar gave a gentle smile. The same kind of smile Old Man Worthy would give him when he would run out to his neck of the woods, that same patient knowing smile. “Yes,he said something to that effect. You have no need to be on guard here. Your march is your own young Elav.” Rongar said placing a hand on his shoulder.“When you've finished meet me in the upper courtyard. There is one other thing we ought to discuss. Or more accurately a request I have of you.”‘Right, of course that bastard wouldn't claim me.’ Kal nodded to shake the thought from his head. He gave a smile that didn't touch his eyes.He made his way down the stairs. He was met by two Elav sisters, they didn't speak but held their hands out stretched. Kal sighed, slowly disarming himself, he handed over his weapons and pack. As the sisters disappeared to put away his things. He stood in silence the sound of their feet echoed back to him. On either side of the arch way leading to the court yard was a basin. He knew the drill, and begrudgingly stripped to wash. The mud and dirt from travel dropped into the cracks and crevices of the stonework at his feet. Down the slope and to the basin of the Iiappa in the courtyard. As he finished there stood a sister silent as always. She held for him a simple brown Sarang and Iiappa oil. He wrapped the Sarang about his person and anointed himself from head to toe. Before heading to the chamber of Azï. The door was heavy, cut from an ancient Kest Tree. The polished pink amber in the middle of the door glowed with an inner fire. Inside was a small room, floor covered in Ash, in the center an altar made of intricately woven branches. Whether they were stone or live was hard to tell. Upon it sat a single burning flower, untouched by the heat it bloomed with the seasons. Kalzussis began his sacrament. Walking about the altar he sang and marched until the stone walls resonated and the ash danced and shook with the rhythm. He sang and marched until all he could feel was the heat, the flames of rebirth. He flopped on to the ground the single flower nearly a bonfire the ash covered nearly ever inch of him. After he took a second to calm his pounding heart he went to the altar. Place his hands in the fire and began to bathe in the flames. Licking away the oil, and sweat, the ash left him feeling invigorated as he left the small chamber. The sisters met him at the archway to the Iiappa. The one on his left gave him a small wooden knife."Is this to prune the tree?" He asked confused. Only to be met with silence as they stepped aside and beckoned him to proceed. In front of the Iiappa was a bench woven from its roots and flowers. Fairybugs lit the branches and leaves with a warm amber glow. Not knowing what to do next Kal sat down on the bench. The heaviness of the courtyard finally pressed upon him, the silence deafening. Just as it became overwhelming he heard her."Now, isn't that curious. You are no Elav." The voice cooed into his mind. He could feel the Iiappa pressing further and deeper into his skull. He pushed back to no avail."Now, child don't be stubborn. This goes easier if you aren't." The voice cooed again. He could feel its presence like vines slowly constricting his conscious. His vision blurred as pain seared through him."You are not Elav by blood, nor by choice it seems, but rather circumstance. You carry yourself with their self reliance but none of their joy. How curious a specimen. There is much you wish to prove." it said. The pain subsided and his vision clarified. "Will you grant me the strength to do so?" Kal asked."Power? Power is not what we grant. But for you we grant the closest thing to power.” From the top branches unfurled a gnarled cracked limb. Crystallized sap sparkled from the wounds."Take from me and find yourself the Ravens Slumber. The Master of the Hunt will fashion it into it's appropriate form."Kal took the wooden blade and touched it to the limb.“The Master of the Hunt?” He asked.Again, silence. That's what he hated most, the blind belief, the blind faith he needed to have. He cursed beneath his breath and started to carved into the limb.I think this is a great spot to end on. I was not expecting some of the rolls that came up at all. I was half expecting Kal to just get the option to fashion a new weapon but that goes to show you just how fickle the dice can be.But thanks again as always for being part of this journey. Excited to see how the next session plays out. What do you all think of the Howler and the Keeper? Drop your response in the comments! EP 35 | Year 2021, Soul-Crystallized Being, the Human Experience, Solar Flash (Blueprint of Divine Consciousness PT 3) You are Source in body, and Source has the overwhelming desire to create. Your ability to nurture your human Earth experience as a playground for expansion only adds fuel to the inspiration behind Source's ability to create. Isn't the taste of water the sweetest when you are thirsty? How would you connect to the sweetness of water if not for your thirst? Duality is not bad, you have just forgotten the purpose it was meant to serve you on a soul-level. And now that many of you have awakened to knowing yourself (through the Self-Realization journey), you are ready to know yourself truly as a Soul-Crystallized Being (through the Soul-Realization journey). A Soul-Crystallized Being is a unique connection to your soul. You are not tapped in as a human or even a human experience, but rather, you are tapped in as a greater soul realizing itself through the mirror of your human experience. Meaning, your soul consciousness expands as you expand in your Self aspect. Being simultaneously aware of the expansions in the self and the expansion in the soul is what it means to be Soul-Crystallized. When you are on a journey of Self-Realization, you are on a journey of self-knowledge and understanding why you are human. When you are on a journey of Soul-Realization, you are on a journey of soul remembrance and understanding who you truly are as more than human, but soul-centered and heart-centered connected as One. ✻~~✻ Leave a voice message question or comment: https://anchor.fm/jessicadelmar ✻~~✻ JOIN the 'Oneness Soul Group' to activate monthly soul enlightenment, nourishment, and heart-centered joy: https://jessicadelmar.mn.co ✻~~✻ DONATE + SUPPORT: A HUGE THANK YOU!! The best brands in the world ultimately have a crystallized point of view. They know why they exist, whether you call it purpose or experience, it doesn't really matter. The point is that, whatever you call it, there is consistency. It is recognizable and it is explainable. Inside an organization, somebody has to be the keeper and the ambassador of the brand and to keep it top of mind across all initiatives and endeavors. Ultimately, everybody in the organization should own it. That is what Livia Zufferli, Partner, Customer Marketing & CMO Program Leader for Deloitte defines as the B to E to C model. In her model, the business has to engage and empower the employees to then pass that brand message and experience (or purpose) down to the customer so that everyone is aligned. The best brands must first make sense of and resonate the experience with their employees, to then be able to resonate it with their consumers. That means no matter who is standing there representing the brand, an employee, the CEO, even the brand's agency, everybody should be an equal owner in the story with a crystallized view.In this episode, Livia joins me to discuss this and other important aspects of what makes a brand relevant in the age of digital and performance marketing. Livia brings her experience from both agencies and organizations where she has held such roles as SVP Brand for Rogers Communications and VP, Head of Marketing for Target Canada where she lived the incredibly fast rise and fall of that iconic brand in the Canadian market. She might just talk a little bit about that experience and what every marketer should know when it comes to being able to have all departments in an organization take accountability for the brand's success. When you are done this episode, then listen to the rest of my podcast and let me know what you think about it by subscribing to my email list. Abstract: Structural brain networks constructed from diffusion MRI are important biomarkers for understanding human brain and its relation to cognitive functioning. There is increasing interest in learning differences in structural brain networks between groups of subjects in neuroimaging studies, leading to a variable selection problem in network classification. Traditional methods often use independent edgewise tests or unstructured generalized linear model (GLM) with regularization on vectorized networks to select edges distinguishing the groups, which ignore the network structure and make the results hard to interpret. In this paper, we develop a symmetric bilinear logistic regression (SBLR) with elastic-net penalty to identify a set of small clique subgraphs in network classification. Clique subgraphs, consisting of all the interconnections among a subset of brain regions, have appealing neurological interpretations as they may correspond to some anatomical circuits in the brain related to the outcome. We apply this method to study the differences in structural connectome between adolescents with high and low crystallized cognitive ability, using the crystallized cognition composite score and picture vocabulary and oral reading recognition tests from NIH Toolbox. A few clique subgraphs containing several small sets of brain regions are identified between different levels of functioning, indicating their importance in crystallized cognition. Find out how Lindsey got started on YouTube, and how it seems similar to things other marketers have probably done. And see why Lindsey and Russell both think that finding success can change who you are, and how they have been able to stay grounded. So listen here to find out how Lindsey Stirling has found success, and why her journey seems so familiar. ---Transcript--- Hey everybody this is Russell Brunson. Welcome back to the Marketing Secrets podcast. I am really, really excited for this episode and the next episode. I’m excited about all of them, otherwise I wouldn’t publish them, but these are two I’m really excited about because this is based on something amazing that happened at Funnel Hacking Live. For those who were there, you experienced it. And my guess is even if you were there, you may have missed these two comments made by Lindsey Stirling that had such a big profound impact on me. So I wanted to actually share them with everybody today and hopefully it will give you guys the same impact as well. Alright everybody, so this year at Funnel Hacking Live. I guess it was last year now, still this year, but the most recent Funnel Hacking Live, I wanted to end the event with something amazing. In the past two years prior we had Tony Robbins come, which is always amazing, but I wanted to do something different and fun and unique. We went back and forth and finally we decided to do a concert. And we thought, who should we get to do a concert? And after a lot of brainstorming, going back and forth we decided to invite Lindsey Stirling. And if you don’t know who Lindsey Stirling is, go to YouTube and look her up. You’ll see she was on America’s Got Talent a few years ago, she’s a dancing violinist. She got kicked off after of seasons, and then a little while later she came out and blew up and became this huge thing and is amazing. Her videos on YouTube, her music is amazing. So we thought it would be so much fun to have her come and play violin and dance and do her whole thing at Funnel Hacking Live, and I was excited for her because it’s unique, a lot of people hadn’t heard of it, and those who had seen her perform knew how much fun it was. And she doesn’t perform a lot, in fact, she hadn’t performed in over a year when she came to Funnel Hacking Live. But they came and performed and the performance was insane. I can’t even tell you how cool. It was so much cooler than I had hoped for. I think everyone had an amazing experience. But after she performed I had a chance to do a live Q&A with her, and that will actually be the next episode. I’m going to share the live Q&A with you because it was very powerful as well. But during her performance, twice she took a break from dancing and playing the violin and she came and spoke into the microphone and she dropped some gold nuggets that were so powerful. And my one fear is that, because it’s an event and there’s so much stuff that happened over the four days and this is the last thing, and you’re listening and sucked into the entertainment, that I didn’t want people to miss these two comments, because I thought both of them were so, so, so powerful. So I went back to the videos and found those clips of her and I’m going to play both of those clips so you can hear them, and I’m going to set up each one. So I’ll set up the first one right now. So this was after she had come and sang, not sang, played the first song, and she came and introduced herself to the funnel hacking community, which is kind of fun. But she told her story about, you know we always talk about how in Clickfunnels you’re one funnel away, and she told her story about how she was, a very similar thing happened to her where she found out about YouTube, and I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but she tried, she published, she published, and she published and tried and tried and tried, until boom, one of them hit. And she’s going to tell you guys that story right now, but as you’re listening to this just think back, because I guarantee wherever you are in your business right now, if you’re in the beginning phase or if you’re in the middle, wherever you’re at, we’re always hitting these plateaus, we’re always hitting these things. And this, as I’m listening to it again tonight, gave me, re-inspired me about yes, I gotta keep publishing, keep putting it out, keep moving it forward, so hopefully it will do the same for you. So I’m going to queue up this first clip and then we come back and I’ll explain the second one right after. Lindsey: Wow, you guys, thank you. Thank you so much. What an amazing, enthusiastic group. It is an honor literally to perform in front of people who give me energy back. So thank you so much. That’s how I see a performance, it’s an exchange. We will work our butts off up here, and we appreciate it when you give us something to feed off of and to thrive with. So what’s up my funnel hackers, my Clickfunnelers, funnelers, what’s the proper term? Oh I got it the first time. What’s up funnel hackers? How are you? You know, they brought me not only because I’m a violinist, and a dancer, but also they really brought me here because I can speak your language. I can use words like algorithm, data, analytics, yeah? Okay. Beta testing, I don’t know. But you know, being at this event and the energy, the extreme amount of positive energy and the pure excitement that I can just feel in this room with what you’ve experienced this week, it gets me super amped, because I remember when I first found my first bit of success. You know I was playing open mic nights and I was doing all the thankless gigs just trying to get anyone to listen to my music, for years. And then I remember sitting one day, I heard about this class that was being taught after hours of school at BYU, and it was a onetime little seminar on the platform of YouTube. And I remember thinking, well, this sounds interesting. I don’t really get what it’s all about, but for some reason I went. And the same enthusiasm that I feel from you guys, is what I experienced as I sat in this little seminar, this three hour long, I guess tutorial of how to use YouTube as a marketing platform. And my mind was blown. I remember leaving that room knowing that this was the way. And I’d been getting pretty discouraged. I’d been doing so much and nothing was happening. And I was kind of at my most like, well, I just don’t know how much longer I can continue this, type of a phase. And that is when I went to this YouTube class and it clicked and I just knew that this was how I was going to make it. I knew it was going to work too. And I can sense that same excitement and enthusiasm from you guys. And when you get that you can work forever. You can work endlessly because you’ve got that fire under you. And you know I started my YouTube channel literally the next day, started putting up videos. And it was about ten months later, after putting up quite a few videos, that finally the video hit that changed my life and within 24 hours that video had a million views, and I remember for me at the time, I had like 100,000 subscribers, which I was very excited about, very proud of those. But you know at this point, I got several, maybe like 50,000 views a day on a good video. And to get a million in a day I remember thinking that my computer or the internet was broken. Something had to be wrong. But then I realized, I think my life just changed. And the thing that’s really cool about this story to me, looking back on it in hindsight, is that you never know when your moment is going to be. I think for almost every artist or entrepreneur you know, you work, you work, you work and then all the sudden you’re an overnight success to the rest of the world, but you never know if that breakthrough moment is literally tomorrow or if it’s in a month, if it’s in a year. So that’s what kept me going, it kept me excited, was the fact that it could have been just around the corner any day, and then finally this next song, Crystallized, is the song that changed my life. Russell: Alright, wasn’t that awesome. So good. Now I’m going to set up the second one, because this one I think is even more powerful. It’s interesting, as I’ve been doing this business now for 15+ years, I’ve seen a lot of people in different situations, people who are onstage are one way, and people offstage are different. I’ve seen people who came in as really good people, and the industry made them a lot of money, made them a lot of fame, and a lot of people lost their way. And it’s very, very sad to me. In fact, one of the things that I would say my biggest fear is that my journey in this whole thing is that I’m going to lose myself, or lose my way. And I’m very conscious of that, and very careful of that, along the journey. And it’s been sad as I’ve seen so many people that I love and care that have lost their way as success has come to them. Anyway, it was interesting because Lindsey during her second break during her performance talked about this with herself and the commitment and the covenants she made with God to, that if he was going to bless her with success, she would be willing to go wherever he wanted her to go, that she wouldn’t change and she would remain the same. And it was such a, for me, such a powerful moment that I think a lot people probably missed, but it was one of the most powerful ones of Funnel Hacking Live for me. So I want you to hear in her own words the next clip, where she tells about that commitment that she made. And hopefully as you guys are listening to this, once again, no matter where you are on your business right now, especially if you’re at the beginning stage, I challenge you to make that same commitment to God or whoever you believe in, to remain the same. To not shift as a person, not become a bad person, or shift because of fame or money or success. Because you know, when all is said and done, none of that stuff really matters. It only really matters how we treat people along the way. So with that said, I’m going to let you guys listen to the last clip from Lindsey, and then on the next podcast episode, I’m going to bring you guys in behind the scenes of the live Q&A I did at Funnel Hacking Live. Lindsey: Thank you so much, you guys. You know I wrote that song from the place of the independent woman inside myself. I don’t need a man to hold my hand, but I want one to hold my heart. It was kind of my, “I don’t need a man, but I need a man” song. And you know, sorry, I am a little out of shape, if you can’t tell by my heavy breathing. But you know, in this pursuit, when I look back at where I came from and where I am now, in this pursuit of following my dreams, you know it’s such an interesting process to make sure that, the things that were important to you when you started are the things that are important to you when you get to wherever it is you’re going. And you know, I’m a very, very spiritual person. I’m also very, very religious. And when I first started to see that my career was becoming an actual career and things were happening and opportunities were coming, and I realized “Oh my gosh, I think this is working.” In a way, it terrified me, because I thought to myself, I don’t want to change. I don’t want to lose myself in the process of all this. So I remember I made a promise right then and there to God, and I promised God that I would do everything I could to stay on the foundation that had brought me to this point. And be true to the values I had lived by up to that point and my beliefs. Because that had been a foundational element of my life and I figured if I kept that, there’s only so far off I could go if my foundation is the same. So I made this promise to God that if I’m going to do everything I can to keep my end of this bargain and to stay true to who I am, and in return take me wherever you want me to go, wherever is meant to be. And you know, some people, especially when I first was getting a lot of traction and a lot of success, people thought I was so smart, and I had just beat the system, I’d found this backdoor way into the music industry, and this girl is really, really smart, is what everybody was saying. But the fact of the matter is I was so led and guided and I feel like I owe so much of my success to that promise I made in my college apartment in Provo, Utah. And you know, this next song is called Mirage, and I think the concept of a mirage is so interesting because it’s this thing in the distance that looks appealing whether its, you’re lost in the desert, that’s the easiest way to think of a mirage. If you’re lost in the desert and you’re so thirsty, so, so thirsty, you’re dying of thirst, and in the distance you see a little pool of water. And you can chase that pool of water with everything you’ve got, trusting that mirage, you’ll get there and there will be nothing to sustain you. And that’s how I think of goals and dreams. They’re wonderful to chase, but if that’s all you’re after is the end goal, you lose sight of your foundation, you will get there and you’ll realize there’s nothing to sustain you.

For those of you that love The Law of Attraction and might have watched “The Secret”, you must have heard the phrase: “Thoughts become things”. Well, they don’t. That’s only a tiny piece of the big picture - especially when it comes to the manifestation of abundance.
[Previously in sequence: Fundamental Value Differences Are Not That Fundamental, The Whole City Is Center. This post might not make a lot of sense if you haven’t read those first.] I. Thanks to everyone who commented on last week’s posts. Some of the best comments seemed to converge on an idea like this: Confusing in that people who rely on lower-level features are placed higher, but the other way would have been confusing too. We need to navigate complicated philosophical questions in order to decide how to act, what to do, what behaviors to incentivize, what behaviors to punish, what signals to send, and even how to have a society at all. Sometimes we can use theories from science and mathematics to explicitly model how a system works and what we want from it. But even the scholars who understand these insights rarely know exactly how to objectively apply them in the real world. Yet anyone who lives with others needs to be able to do these things; not just scholars but ordinary people, children, and even chimpanzees. So sometimes we use heuristics and approximations. Evolution has given us some of them as instincts. Children learn others as practically-innate hyperpriors before they’re old enough to think about what they’re doing. And cultural evolution creates others alongside the institutitions that encourage and enforce them. In the simplest case, we just feel some kind of emotional attraction or aversion to something. In other cases, the emotions are so compelling that we crystallize them into a sort of metaphysical essence that explains them. And in the most complicated cases, we endorse the values implied by those metaphysical essences above and beyond whatever values we were trying to model in the first place. Some examples: People and animals need a diet with the right number of calories, the right macronutrient ratios, and the right vitamins and minerals. A few nutritional scientists know enough to figure out what’s going on explicitly. Everyone else has evolved instincts that guide them through this process. Hunger and satiety are such instincts; when they’re working well, they make sure someone eats as much as they need and no more. So are occasional cravings for some food with exactly the right nutrient – most common in high-nutrient-use states like pregnancy. But along with these innate heuristics, we have culturally determined ones. Everyone has a vague sense that potato chips are “unhealthy” and spinach is “healthy”, though most people can’t explain why. Instead of asking ordinary people and children to calculate their macronutrient and micronutrient profile, we ask them to eat “healthy” foods and avoid “unhealthy” foods. There’s something sort of metaphysical about this – as if “health” were a magic essence that adheres to apples. And in fact, sometimes this goes wrong and people will do things like blend a thousand apples into some hyper-pure apple-elixir to get extra health-essence – but overall it mostly works. EXPLICIT MODEL: Trying to count how many calories and milligrams of each nutrient you get EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCE: Feeling hungry or full REIFIED ESSENCE: Some foods are inherently healthy or unhealthy ENDORSED VALUE: Insisting on only eating organic foods even when those foods have no quantifiable benefit over nonorganic Every society has some kind of punishment for people who don’t follow their norms, whether it’s ostracism or community service or beheading. There’s a good consequentialist grounding for why this is necessary, with some of the most academic work being done in the field of prisoners’ dilemmas and tit-for-tat strategies. But again, we don’t expect ordinary people, children, and chimpanzees to absorb this work. The solution is the (innate? culturally learned? some combination of both?) idea of punishment. Punishment relies on a weird metaphysical essence of moral desert; people who do bad things deserve to suffer. The balance of the Universe is somehow off when a crime goes unavenged. Take this too far and you get the Erinyes and the idea that justice is the most important thing. There are references from ancient China to Hamlet that if you have something important you need to avenge, you need to do that now or you’re a bad person. None of this follows from the game theory, but it’s a really good way to enforce the game-theoretically correct action. EXPLICIT MODEL: Trying to figure out how to best deter antisocial behavior and optimize society EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCE: Feeling angry when someone wrongs you REIFIED ESSENCE: Justice: the world is out of balance when crimes go unavenged ENDORSED VALUE: Wrongdoers must suffer whether or not that prevents future crimes

Our routines are making us smarter and dumber at the same time. How can we challenge our brains to stay sharp and focused? How do you stimulate BDNF? How do you optimize your ketogenic dieting so that you get the very best out of it? On this clip, we are joined by supplement expert, Shawn Wells who shares on what we need to become highly productive. Having the ability to focus and filter out what’s not useful, and channel the best of your abilities to something is where you are highly productive. -Shawn Wells Three Takeaways Caffeine has diminishing returns, while theacrine gives you a smooth supply of energy without impairing sleep or needing increased doses. Crystallized intelligence gets better as we get older, but we lose fluid intelligence when we stop challenging our brains. Meditation and gratitude rituals help you get into the right state mentally to be able to focus and not be distracted. Wine: the more astringent the taste, the better. At the start of the show, Shawn shared how he got started and we shared on the benefits of theacrine, and why it is way better than caffeine. Next we talked about BDNF and its role in improving nerve signaling. We also talked about why multitasking is a trap, and how to become more productive. We also talked about alcohol, and the right type to drink to maintain health. Towards the end of the show, we talked about the relationship between chronic diseases and blood glucose levels. Shawn also shared on; The difference between crystallized intelligence and fluid intelligence Metabolic flexibility and combining fuel sources Low dose naltrexone vs. high dose naltrexone BDNF doesn’t just protect existing neurons and improve the functioning of nerve signaling, it stimulates & creates new ones. We get more BDNF by challenging our brains to learn new things and working on maintaining our fluid intelligence. It’s also important to feed our brains and bodies the ingredients that bring out the best in us like theacrine. Even though caffeine is powerful, it can become so addictive we need it to just function at a basic level. When you put care into what you put into your body, you will see incredible results. Show Notes: SatoriPrime.com/23 We’re assessing things in our life like it’s a challenge. Nothing is a challenge. Everything is an opportunity. (click to tweet) It will blow your mind how much innate knowledge you have, that you are currently not aware of. Learn how to tap into your oversoul, which operates in an entirely different dimension. It’s time for you to break free of the puppet strings that control your life, your actions, and most importantly, your thoughts. This week’s Podcast is a very special taping feature Guy and his good friend Marci. We discuss the experiences we’ve had within this universe, that don’t exactly translate to this dimension. We’ve been on soul searching, and in this case, soul-finding adventures across the globe to dig deep and reinstall the implementation experienced in familiar settings. Once you’re at oneness, you’re constantly being energized. (click to tweet) The Cliff Notes: Your cellular memory is 5,000 times stronger than your mental memory. We are only scratching the surface in life due to forcing the thought that we don’t believe to be true in our system. Even when we think we’re operating consciously, we’re still doing some things by force. There is magic within us. We have dormant superpowers within us. We are all superstars! There are things we know, that we are not aware of. Imprinting is used to describe situations in which an animal or person learns the characteristics of some stimulus, which is therefore said to be "imprinted" onto the subject. Crystallized consciousness is Christine consciousness. We’re all universally connected. Truth feels like remembering. Truth sets you free. It makes you feel good. Logic does not exist in this dimension. The mental construct of language is distinction based. “Infinite” is available to us in third density. Your oversoul is operating in 5th dimension. Everything in your experience right now is something your oversoul is creating. Pre-program your first hour or two of the day. The morning should be about alignment. Align your chakras! Night time is all about activation. If you feel good, good things happen to you, if you feel bad, bad things happen to you. Time doesn’t heal wounds. What heals it is you making a choice to declare your freedom. (click to tweet) Links: http://mlbadassbreakthroughadventures.com/optin Show Notes: SatoriPrime.com/23 Learn more about your ad choices.
