Maskava un Pekina. Savējie saprotas. Mēreni kreisie nostiprina pozīcijas Portugālē. „Brīvības piegāde” premjerministram Trudo. Aktualitātes vērtē Latvijas Ārpolitikas institūta jaunākā pētniece Aleksandra Palkova. Savējie saprotas Pagājušā nedēļa nesa vēl vienu akcentu Ķīnas pozicionējumam pēdējos mēnešos samilzušajā Krievijas un Rietumu pretstāvē, kuras pamatā ir Krievijas iebrukuma draudi Ukrainā un neizpildāmās prasības Savienotajām Valstīm un NATO. Telefonsarunā ar Savienoto Valstu valsts sekretāru Entoniju Blinkenu Ķīnas ārlietu ministrs Vans Ji izteicās, ka Krievijas paustās bažas par savu drošību esot jāuztver nopietni, ka reģionālo stabilitāti nevarot garantēt kādu militāru bloku stiprināšana vai, vēl jo vairāk, paplašināšana, un būtu jāatsakās no aukstā kara laiku domāšanas. Tas ir līdz šim pamanāmākais Krievijas pozīcijas atbalsts no Ķīnas puses un apliecinājums, ka notiek loģiska tuvināšanās starp Maskavu un Pekinu situācijā, kad abu šo režīmu attiecībās ar Rietumiem netrūkst spriedzes momentu. Kamēr prezidents Baidens un vairāku citu rietumvalstu līderi pieteikuši Pekinas ziemas olimpisko spēļu diplomātisko boikotu, Krievijas līderis dodas uz Ķīnas galvaspilsētu, lai piedalītos spēļu atklāšanā un pie viena tiktos ar Ķīnas līderi Sji Dziņpinu. Oficiālā Kremļa pārstāvis Dmitrijs Peskovs jau paziņojis, ka abi līderi pamatīgi pārrunāšot drošības situāciju Eiropā un Krievijas attiecības ar ASV un NATO. Kā norāda analītiķi, Pekina uzmanīgi vērojot rietumvalstu reakciju uz Krievijas izaicinošajiem žestiem, lai prognozētu, cik vienoti un konsekventi Rietumi varētu būt savā attieksmē pret Ķīnu, kura sākusi īstenot ekspansīvāku ārpolitiku un, vienlaicīgi, „skrūvju piegriešanu” iekšpolitikā. Ir pat izskanējuši viedokļi, ka vāja rietumvalstu reakcija uz Krievijas iebrukumu Ukrainā varētu pamudināt Ķīnu uz kādu militāru avantūru pret Taivānu. Šāda iespēja gan ir maz ticama, ciktāl Savienotās Valstis ir uzņēmušā Taivānas neatkarības garantēšanu. Nav arī skaidrs, cik tālu Pekina varētu atbalstīt Maskavu, ja tā nolemtu izvērst plašu iebrukumu Ukrainā. Labas attiecības ar Maskavu Pekinai ir svarīgas, taču jāšaubās, vai tik ļoti, lai riskētu vēl krietni palielināt saspīlējumu savās attiecībās ar Rietumiem. Mēreni kreisie nostiprina pozīcijas Portugālē Uzmetot aci Portugāles parlamenta jeb Republikas Asamblejas lielāko frakciju nosaukumiem, var rasties iespaids, ka portugāļu politika ir teju viscaur kreisa. Taču nosaukumu konjunktūra šai gadījumā ir maldinoša. Politiskais spēks, kas sevi dēvē par Sociāldemokrātisko partiju, vēsturiski gan ir bijis mēreni kreisi orientēts, taču pakāpeniski dreifējis pa labi vispirms uz centriski/liberālām, bet vēlāk, pagājušā gadsimta nogalē, – uz labēji centriskām pozīcijām. Attiecīgi, kreisi centrisko jeb klasiski sociāldemokrātisko nišu Portugāles politikā ieņem Sociālistiskā partija, tā saukto sociāldemokrātu galvenais konkurents teju kopš 1976. gada, kad Portugālē pēc diktatūras perioda tika atjaunota demokrātija. 2019. gada vēlēšanas nesa relatīvus panākumus sociālistiem, kuri ieguva lielāko frakciju parlamentā un izveidoja mazākuma valdību ar radikālāko kreiso – „Demokrātiskās bloka” un komunistu, kā arī zaļās partijas atbalstu. Taču pagājušā gada oktobrī kreisie sabiedrotie izgāza premjera Antoniu Koštas valdības budžeta apstiprināšanu, un valsts prezidents Marselu Rebelu de Souza izsludināja ārkārtas vēlēšanas, kuras notika 30. janvārī. Vēlēšanu rezultāti liecina, ka portugāļu vēlētājiem ir īsti pa prātam Koštas kabineta sabalansēti taupīgā, bet izaugsmi veicinošā politika un, acīmredzot, arī rīcība pandēmijas krīzē. Sociālisti ieguva nepilnus 42% balsu, palielināja savu frakciju līdz 117 no 230 mandātiem un nu jau veidos vairākuma valdību. Pēc visa spriežot, viņi atņēmuši balsis saviem līdzšinējiem sabiedrotajiem, kuru frakcijas šajā parlamentā sarukušas pavisam mazas un nenozīmīgas. Ieguvēji šajās vēlēšanās ir arī libertāriskā partija „Liberālā Iniciatīva” un, jo sevišķi, radikāli nacionālistiski populistiskā partija „Chega”, kuras nosaukums latviskojams kā „Pietiek!”. Tomēr arī šīs frakcijas ir mazas un nenozīmīgas, salīdzinot ar portugāļu politikas smagsvariem – sociālistiem un sociāldemokrātiem. „Brīvības piegāde” premjerministram Trudo Autotransportam ir milzu nozīme Kanādas ikdienā. Liela daļa no valstī patērētajām precēm tiek importētas pāri robežai no Savienotajām Valstīm, un tiek lēsts, ka šai loģistikā ir nodarbināti apmēram 120 000 kravas automašīnu vadītāju. Līdz šim uz šiem tālbraucējiem netika attiecināta valstī pastāvošā prasība nevakcinētām personām pēc iebraukšanas no ārzemēm ievērot karantīnu un atgriezties darbā tikai pēc negatīva Covid-19 testa, taču nesen premjerministra Džastina Trudo Liberālās partijas valdība kārtību manīja, kas nevakcinētajiem tālbraucējiem faktiski nozīmē liegumu turpināt darbu. Kā jau varēja paredzēt, neapmierinātie organizējās protestam, kas šoreiz ieguva t.s. „Brīvības konvoja” veidolu. Kravas mašīnu un citu braucamrīku kolonas devās uz galvaspilsētu Otavu, solot varas iestādēm, kā izteicās paši organizētāji, „loģistikas murgu”. Viņu prasības jau drīz vien izvērtās no konkrēto autovadītājus skarošo ierobežojumu atcelšanas un vispār jebkāda ar pandēmiju saistīta regulējuma likvidēšanu. Pasaules sociālos tīklus sāka aplidot ziņas par 50 000 kravinieku, kuri virzoties uz galvaspilsētu, un pie reizes ar protestiem uzstādīšot arī Ginesa rekordu garākajai kravas auto kolonai pasaules vēsturē. Faktiskais efekts izrādījās krietni pieticīgāks, un, kā lēš, maksimālais kravas auto skaits, kas pagājušajās brīvdienās ieradās Otavā uz protestiem, varētu būt ap 230, privāto mašīnu skaits – nepilns tūkstotis. Protams, arī šāds braucamrīku apjoms galvaspilsētas centrā radīja zināmas problēmas, tomēr par satiksmes paralīzi netiek ziņots. Tāpat protesti, kas savu maksimumu sasniedza svētdien, kad iebraukušajiem pievienojās arī vietējie iedzīvotāji, noritēja visumā mierīgi. Tika fiksēti vien nelieli ekscesi kā necienīga izturēšanās pret kritušo kareivju memoriālu, uzdejojot uz nezināmā kareivja kapa, vai agresīva ēdiena pieprasīšana bezpajumtnieku patversmes zupas virtuvē. Premjerministra Trudo un viņa ģimenes pārcelšanās no rezidences galvaspilsētas centrā uz kādu publiski neatklātu vietu, pēc visa spriežot, bija pārspīlēts drošības solis. Pirmdien daļa konvoja dalībnieku sāka pamest Otavu, lai gan daži, cik var noprast, joprojām tur uzturas. Nopietnākās loģistikas problēmas protestu dalībniekiem izdevies radīt uz vienas no maģistrālēm, kas savieno Kanādas Albertas provinci ar Savienoto Valstu Montanas štatu. Bloķējot ar kravas mašīnām robežpunktu, izveidojies vairākus kilometrus garš sastrēgums, kas pamatīgi pabojājis dzīvi tajā nejauši iekļuvušajiem robežas šķērsotājiem un pierobežas ciemata Koutsas iedzīvotājiem. Premjerministrs Trudo par „Brīvības konvoja” dalībniekiem izteicies visai asi, paziņojot, ka viņiem neesot cerību iebiedēt valdību. Savukārt kravas auto vadītāju profesionālā organizācija – Kanādas Kravas pārvadājumu apvienība – norobežojusies no protestu organizētājiem, paziņojot, ka vismaz 85% no tālbraucējiem šoferiem esot vakcinēti. In this episode we look into the creative life of San Francisco-based Lithuanian composer Albertas Navickas. Living a life of a scientist and composer, he is immersed in creative collaborations expressing many musical outpourings involving traditional instruments, voices and opera projects. The idiom, sound and aesthetics of his music remind of the forms of French culture (from Impressionism to authors heavily influenced by French music, such as Kaija Saariaho). His music of serene melancholy is supple, pastel, nuanced, formed of transparent textures and subtle dynamics, with specific acoustic colouring; it is a music of a single state (be it a chamber miniature or an opera), which spreads like an aroma and is slightly intoxicating. You guys know what this is, if i say to much it will get censored.  This podcast has a bit of everything, anger, sadness, laughs and tears.  In no way is this scientific information but it's truly how i feel no more and no less and of all the things you could say about this episode you can't say it isn't 100% from the heart.  Something exceedingly rare these days of packaged content and think-tanked narratives It was amazing to see the response my instagram stories brought out in people and how many people are silently feeling similar.  But it was also astonishing to see the venom and hate thrown my way when I tried to be nuanced and compassionate of both sides of the issue.I always thought I was the type of person that would never let things said on the internet affect me but I was sorely mistaken. Even though the responses were 10:1 positive to negative, I cried a lot yesterday as my points were twisted and mischaracterized to fit an existing narrative even though it could not be farther from what I was actually saying. It was so hurtful I was very tempted to just shut up about the whole thing and keep my head down.But I am not that person I am strong intelligent and my voice deserves to be heard and i will keep bringing my message of love and compassion to the world regardless what people have to say about it. I welcome anyone to come onto the podcast to discuss in a  safe place any of the points brought up on this podcast.

The lower high flying tech stocks will go.Beneath the surface of DDTG, Diamond 💎Hands, ARKK and Wall Street bets is a single underlying fact.The risk-free rate is zero and, as a result, no one has any care or concern for current cash flow.The risk-free rate is what you can earn from buying an asset that theoretically cannot lose its value (think 3-month Treasury bills or 3-7 year Treasury bonds) and subtracting the rate of inflation from the current yield of those bills or bonds. If we believe inflation is 2 percent annually, then the risk-free rate is effectively and actually zero (or worse).In theory, this means money is almost free. Which means that if you’re borrowing it to earn a better return elsewhere, your hurdle rate to clear in terms of generating income is also almost zero. It’s the same capital, chasing the same assets and strategies, with the same mindset. And the longer it goes on for, the more crowded the room, the higher the risks and the more relatively narrow the exits become.A risk-free rate of 1 percent doesn’t necessarily crash the prices and values of these trades as much as it holds them back from proliferating any further. A risk-free rate of 1.5 percent probably unwinds the trend and sets it in reverse. A 2 percent risk-free rate starts blowing up deals.
