Matty Dalrymple talks with Tiffany Yates Martin about TAPPING INTO YOUR AUTHOR VOICE, including how many writers mistakenly view voice as an external element they need to find or impose on their work. Instead, she believes that true voice comes from genuinely accessing and expressing one's internal truths, a process that can feel quite daunting. Tiffany emphasizes that an authentic voice is not about adopting a façade but rather about tapping into what is true to the author and allowing it to emerge naturally in their writing. It's another chapter in The Dialogue Series - A chill ‘n chat with authors, fellow podcasters, musicians, and more. Our guest is Songfacts founder and owner Carl Wiser. If you love classic rock trivia and love finding out the stories behind your favorite classic rock songs and bands, you probably know about the website Songfacts.com. Songfacts is a music-oriented website that gives you the stories behind songs and lyrics, how and when they were recorded, and so much more. You can search by category like songs about cars, songs inspired by movies, songs inspired by the works of Shakespeare. The list goes on and on. It also has a featured quiz, today's top 10 facts, artists, lyrics, and categories, and a This Day In Music calendar.Songfacts also features exclusive articles and interviews. The journalists who work for the site have interviewed thousands of artists and songwriters to get the facts behind the songs, including Greg Prato who has been on the Booked On Rock podcast many times. The site was launched in 1999 by Wiser, a Connecticut rock DJ who created the list as a database to prepare for his radio show before making it a website for all of us classic rock fanatics to visit. It's one of my original favorite music info sites and I'm not alone. In 2002 it was chosen as a "Yahoo! Pick". The August 2004 issue of Men's Journal listed Songfacts as one of the "100 Best Websites for Guys". USA Weekend has praised it as "a virtual Behind the Music". I reached out to Carl to tell us more about the website, some of his favorite stories he's found for the site, his favorite books on rock, and ones he would love to be written but haven't yet. So let's get down to the facts and talk Songfacts with Carl Wiser!Visit Songfacts.comListen to the Songfacts podcastBookedOnRock.com The Booked On Rock YouTube Channel Follow The Booked On Rock with Eric Senich:FACEBOOKINSTAGRAMTIKTOKX Find Your Nearest Independent Bookstore Contact The Booked On Rock Podcast: thebookedonrockpodcast@gmail.com The Booked On Rock Music: “Whoosh” by Crowander / “Last Train North” & “No Mercy” by TrackTribeBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/booked-on-rock-with-eric-senich--4901091/support.

The journey of a writer is a blend of art and commerce, heart and head."Intuitive Editing is the process of taking the hard craft skills and melding it with creating the story that you're trying to create, not the one that some writing guru or dogma has suggested would be the right structure for you."This week we're thrilled to have editor Tiffany Yates Martin on the show. Did you know that my entire business started because there was one day when I decided that I wanted to learn how websites were built so that I could interpret what the web developers were trying to ask my marketing team to do? In today's episode we're talking all things websites. I still to this day remember creating my very first website: it was on a platform called Joomla and it was sooooo bad. It's been a gradual process of learning about websites, bit by bit and ask any of my clients and they'll tell you - one of my favourite things to do is peek behind the hood of client websites. And I've now worked with almost every type of website backend from Wix to Drupal, Squarespace to Joomla, Wordpress to Shopify, and I can hands down tell you that there are great... and also not so great website builders, and, page builders. And finally we broke down how you can present yourself and your online business to the world in the best way possible.
