Happy Days is the iconically classic 70s TV sensation about the 50s. Its legacy is unparalleled, its popularity ongoing. The show launched a character who remains the embodiment of cool, Fonzie, and it cemented its cast into icon status in perpetuity. That cast includes Donny Most, who played wise-cracking Ralph Malph, who, complete with his own catchphrase, “I still got it!” took a minor role and turned it into the stuff of legend.Don joins us this week to look back on his decades in Hollywood, the magic formula that brought Happy Days to fruition, and created a lasting legacy, and his tireless pursuit of creative expression that continues to keep his schedule full and fulfilling.Don shares stories about his first foray into show business, as a Catskills performing teen, his early guest starring roles on Emergency and Room 222, how he dropped out of college to maintain his acting momentum and landed a small role on Happy Days which he initially turned down until a fateful basketball playing encounter between his manager and Garry Marshall upped the incentives and sealed the deal. Donny and his cast-mates developed a strong, life-long bond which he credits to the collaborative set atmosphere, the genius of Garry Marshall and the strong example set by Ron Howard, which helped anchor egos aboard the Happy Days rocket ride. Type-casting came with the Happy Days territory and it took years or hard work on stage for new opportunities to present themselves. Don has since gone into directing and producing and his most recent roles are the most compelling and diverse of his career. Potsie took most of the lead vocals in the Happy Days band but Donny has been a singer since childhood and his most recent big-band, American Songbook recording, New York High has a BBC reviewer calling him, “The new Sinatra.”All this plus the truth behind the lawsuit against CBS, Happy Days trivia and Don's dramatic Baywatch rescue! And, in recommendations, Fritz and Weezy are discussing Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval and Monsters: The Lyle And Erik Menendez Story, both on Netflix.Path Points of Interest:Donny MostDonny Most on WikiDonny Most on IMDBDonny Most on TwitterNew York High on Apple MusicFar HavenHarsen's Island RevengeUnsung HeroGallatin Comic Con AppearanceEllen DeGeneres: or Your Approval on NetflixMonsters: The Lyle And Erik Menendez Story on NetflixGift of DemocracyMedia Path Podcast

While in junior high school, Don committed to the professional study of acting, singing, and dancing. At fifteen, Don got his first big break as part of a teenage musical revue that played the famous “Borscht-Belt” circuit of New York's Catskill Mountains. At age twenty, Don Most catapulted into the American zeitgeist when he won the role of Ralph Malph on the television pilot Happy Days. The role was originally a stock jock character. Director Jerry Paris and Executive Producer Garry Marshall were so charmed by Don's charisma and natural comedic timing they reworked the part and transformed Ralph Malph into the beloved class comedian that won the hearts of America. Throughout his storied career Don Most's dream of returning to his early musical days never wavered. Inspired by his love of swing, jazz and big band music, he created the musical revue Donny Most Sings and Swings. The show debuted in Los Angeles at Catalina's Jazz Club in Hollywood, and Vitello's Jazz Club in Studio City to great acclaim. Don's act showcases his love of the great standards, and covers the likes of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and his favorite, Bobby Darin. Don Most married actress Morgan Hart in 1982 after meeting on the set of Happy Days. They have two daughters, Madison and Mackenzie, and live in Los Angeles, California. Today on The Neil Haley Show, Neil "The Media Giant" Haley will interview Don Most. "I'm back with my first love," says Don. Before Most was an actor, he was a singer. Fans may fondly recall episodes of "Happy Days" that featured the now iconic characters playing for patrons at the popular hang out called "Al's.” Nowadays, Don's backed by a twelve-piece band on a national concert tours. Although his red hair is silver now, he has clearly retained his appeal, appearing before packed houses of multiple generations, performing standards like "Lady Is A Tramp," "I Can't Give you Anything But Love" and "It Had To Be You." A scan of his audiences show fans in their late 20's to blue-haired music aficionados. His enthusiasm and expertise is contagious, and it isn't long before everyone is either tapping their toes, bobbing their heads and visibly swaying in time to the tunes. Most and his group salute standards and composers from almost every decade of the last century. In addition, Most excites the audience by sharing his knowledge of music through warm stylish deliveries and selections of swing, jazz and rock-and-roll. Most has acted on television and directed several movies, but clearly finds a special connection with music of the Swing Era. Shifting easily between vocal styles, Most pays homage to The Chairman of the Board, Dean Martin, and his idol Bobby Darin, while paying tribute to the path that brought him back to his musical roots.

It's hard to find a person that has never seen Happy Days. This iconic show which represented life in the '50s is easily regarded as one of the most popular shows of the '70s. Set in Milwaukee, WI we meet Richie Cunningham, an all American boy and join him in his day to day interacting with his friends and family. The show was met with moderate success but by its second season was already seeing a dip in the ratings. To counter this the show's creator, Gary Marshall retooled the format a bit focusing on broad comedy and increasing the role of a minor character, a cool biker who went by the name of "Fonzie". These changes quickly turned Happy Days into the number 1 program by the mid '70s. Fonzie became a pop culture phenomenon and became one of the most merchandised characters in television history. Despite the majority of the show's success coming after the seconds season, is there enough in the show's pilot the warrant a green-light? Listen as the boys do a deep dive on Happy Day's pilot episode, "All The Way". www.S1E1POD.com Starring: Ron Howard, Marion Ross, Anson Williams, Tom Bosley, Henry Winkler, Don Most, Gavan O'Herlihy, Erin Moran, & Kathy O'Dare

Anson Williams grew up in a modest home in Burbank which his WWII-veteran father bought with a VA loan. His idyllic childhood unfolded against the sunshine and particular American optimism of the 1950s and 1960s. So when he and his friend Ron Howard were cast in "Happy Days," Garry Marshall's nostalgic look back at the 1950s, he fit neatly within the 1970s zeitgeist. The show, which ran from 1974 to 1984, made Williams' Potsie Weber, along with Howard's Richie Cunningham, Don Most's Ralph Malph and Henry Winkler's Fonzie, among the best-known characters of the era, viewed each week by nearly 70 million people. Williams soaked up lessons on set from Marshall and Howard and has now amassed 43 credits to date as a director, in addition to his 100+ acting credits. He now lives in Ojai, a place he's been visiting for decades and regards as a haven and sanctuary from the manic pace of the outside world. He's announced his bid for Mayor and is committed to bringing a collaborative, cooperative style to Ojai's pressing issues such as affordable housing, fire and drought threats and a spirit of civic goodwill and trust. We also talked about glider piloting, fishing with Henry Winkler, setting up innovative school programs, Annie Besant and much more. We did not talk about the Shoeless Joe Jackson and Black Sox scandal of 1919, the Haber-Bosch method nor lost metallurgic technologies of the Bronze Age.

As a child growing up in Brooklyn, NY, Don Most wanted to be just like the entertainers in his favorite film, The Jolson Story. In the two decades following the success of Happy Days, Don continued to entertain and inspire audiences and earned critical acclaim in a long list of television and film roles. Introduction! Thanks for the warm and overwhelming support on the return! Chapter 007 Recap Parzival has an epiphany that his home school planet of Ludus is actually the resting place of the Tomb of Horrors. After exploiting away to travel there without zero credits, he manages to find the entrance and makes his way in, ready for the perils that lie ahead. Chapter 0008 Summary With the help of a map from the Tomb of Horrors module, Parzival makes his way through the treacherous tomb avoiding traps and monsters and collecting a heavy amount of gold pieces along the way. He's eventually confronted by Acererak who challenges him to a best 2 out of 3 game of Joust, the classic arcade game. Parzival bests Acererak winning the copper key along with a clue to the first gate but before he's able to leave the Tomb of Horrors, he's stopped short of the entrance by a mysterious figure who making their way inside as well… Chapter 0008 Narrative Parzival uses his map to navigate through the ToH and avoid most of the traps and monsters Levels up like a few types of classes; monster xp vs GP xp; gp xp converts to OASIS credits He eventually makes his way to the Pillared Throne Room where he sees a throne and Acereak sitting there which is a break from the D&D module The voices inside our heads here - what did you hear when you read the booK? "Not horses," he replied, stepping away from his throne. "Birds." The rules to win a copper key, best two out of three. Of course, Parzival had honed his skills over time and credits Aech as it was his favorite (and former) game used to settle asinine pop culture disputes, but did you ever take issue with just how good Wade/Parzival was at everything? I've seen some of the negative criticism from people who didn't paritcularly like the novel and it's a go-to for a lot of those people. Parzival gets his arse handed to him in match #1; but then asks to play on the other side in order to win games 2 and 3 After the second win, Acererak pounds on the side of the cabinet smashing into pixles and graciously congratulates Parzival before taking the form of Anorak. Anaorak hands him the copper key, and Parzival notice two lines of text etched into the key reading, “What you seek lies hidden in the trash on the deepest level of Daggorath.” He immediately knows exactly what this hints refers to and has a hunch that he needs to travel to Middletown, a re-creation of Halliday's hometown as a boy. There, in Halliday's old home, he would find a "Dungeons of Daggorath" game and somehow that would lead him to the first gate to use the copper key on. All he needed to do now was get out of the Tomb of Horrors and make his way immediately there, but just as he was leaving the tomb, he is confronted by the silhouette of another avatar… The Pop!
