Black Sabbath has left a mark for many followers in heavy rock. Laying the foundations of metal in the 1970s without a doubt. We can remember them with great albums, Paranoid and Master of Reality. There are great classics like: Planet Caravan, War Pigs among others. Candelemaas One of the Swedish bands in the doom metal scene. Getting together in 1984, they have great songs like: Solitude, "Under the Oak." Music critics consider them one of the most influential bands for remaining with a tireless legacy for this group. Electric Wizzard It is one of the most respected groups in Great Britain, for having a dark and macabre energy in its compositions. Two of the productions, "Dopethrone", "Come My Fanatics", will get fans on their feet, playing themes like: magic, darkness carrying a distorted atmosphere with virtuosity. 1993 when this group got together. Pentagram One of the most important groups in the 70's and powerful devastating riffs. They have songs like: "Forever My Queen" and "All your Sins". As an elderly man, Gary Grim is visited by two writers who are compiling the story of his life. However, rather than learning about his beginnings, his struggles and his inevitable decline, these writers only seem to be interested in one particular shocking episode of the DTABM podcast... this episode. Old man Grim tells the writers the story of how the DTABM crew spoke about albums released around the time of the episode recording by bands such as Vein, Baptists, the Night Flight Orchestra, Uada, Dopethrone, Morag Tong, Oak, Ovate, Gruesome, Nocturnal Graves, Sleepwalkers, The Konsortium, Craft, and a then yet to be released Rebel Wizard album. He recalls how the lads went on to "break the silence" over not one but two albums by the bands Immortal and Deafheaven. The tales continues with a retelling of a "terrible album debate", a segment the guys had not come up with a catchy title for at the time, with the album St Anger by Metallica getting the DTABM treatment. Then Grim finally gets to the ending of the episode and the big reveal that came with it. What could have happened? What earth shattering news will be revealed? On this edition of the Livecast our good buddy Loni sat in for Sean who chose to go see Converge. We quickly introduce Loni and remind listeners about his Livecast "claim to fame." Rob then discusses an email exchange he had with the owners of metalinjection.com, when he tried to place a bid to purchase the website. We discussed the sad passing of "Macho Man" Randy Savage leading to a tangential conversation about wrestling, including Loni's favorite wrestler Haku/Meng. We hoped that Macho Man could be resurrected by Zelda Rubinstein (you get to find out who she is by listening). After the first music break, we played Thrash It or Trash It basically trashing all the music we heard from the following bands: This Beast, Dopethrone, Apocryphaband, Man Will Surrender. We got off on a tangent about Noa wanting to have a baby within the next two years, which inspired a potential Twitter contest. Darren also smelled Noa's foot (video of this above). We discussed Noa's article about Middle Eastern metal bands leading to a fun game of coming up with Middle-Eastern band names. The show wrapped up with some Mastertweet Theater that may have gone on a little too long.
