Slam the Gavel welcomes back Elaine Mickman, Author of, "Court Gate...The Court$ Divorced From The Law," available on Amazon, FREE in eBook this October 12th - 14th, 2023 and for several days after. Elaine was last on the show on Season 3, Episode 20 and 30. Elaine updated her case, saying that there is not much movement. However, Elaine gave the history of her case. The tactics state and federal courts use on litigants such as tampering with the COMPUTER SYSTEM, "quashing" a case without a legitimate reason and dismissing the case, saying they were never "served." We talked about e-filing and that there are many ways that can be tampered with as well. A first level appeal is a RIGHT, promised in the Constitution. Yet they block people. "They do not rule by law in this unjust system," Elaine states. They are trying to predetermine if a person can appeal by a new tactic called "Summary Action." IT NEVER ENDS. We talked about legislative law. In Pennsylvania, Article 5. 10(c) prohibits Judge's abridging a litigant's rights. The Court has their own rule, 210 PA 63.1 states that the judiciary can't create or diminish rights, yet THEY ARE DOING IT. Discussing Diane Diamond's book, "We're Here To Help, When Guardianship Goes Wrong." Elaine talked about how they put a Guardians on somebody who is getting divorced and would be getting child support or spousal support or divorce settlement, most of the time exparte happens and they sign away your assets and the person has no rights. Then take the Guardian off, and the person is left destitute, homeless and broke. There is no oversight for the Supreme Court. HR288 is looking for accountability and oversight in the US Supreme Court. There needs to be an independent agency. You can't have a judge overseeing another judge. They have dismissed 99% of the complaints filed by litigants. Elaine recommends that if you can avoid the court system do it. For our 78th episode we have an incredible guest - he's a life coach, he's an amazing friend, he's Anna's SoulCycle teacher, he's Noa Shaw! Noa is the author of the book, "Stop Thinking Thoughts That Scare You" (go read it) and hosts the podcast, "I'm Here To Help" which Anna did an episode of. Trust us when we say after getting to know Noa your life will be changed. We discuss so much on this episode as Noa has had a bajillion jobs. We chat about his life changing experience from getting scary news from a doctor to transforming himself and becoming a SoulCycle instructor. Noa is super open about his sobriety and tells some incredible stories about doing drugs, even on jobs, when he was a teenager. He also met a cowboy and spent a year working on a ranch, "terrorizing Texas" as he says, which should be made into a movie. Hard to say what our favorite job was but being an "undercover cop at Bloomingdales" might be our top. You're going to love this episode. It's a full journey! And then when you fall in love with Noa, find him on social media @noashaw26 for more. To watch this episode, check out our Patreon.com/UnemployedPodcast. Don't forget to Rate, Review & Hire us!!!

Sometimes it feels like the most challenging part of booking clients is just getting them in the door to inquire. So it's super discouraging, after spending so much time and energy on that first step, when a couple totally ghosts you. You know what I mean, right? You get all excited when that new contact form submission pops up in your inbox, you spend time carefully crafting the perfect email and . . . crickets. They never respond. Or maybe they do, but they don't want to get on a call. Or maybe you get to the point of having that conversation, but they book someone else. Talking Through Here to Help On this episode 52 of Fear the Walking Dead Talk Through, Brian and Kyle are joined by our special guest co-host Mark from The Walking Dead Talk Through, as we talk through Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 1, which is titled, Here to Help. This was written by showrunners Ian Goldberg & Andrew Chambliss, and directed by Michael E. Satrazemis. SPOILER ALERT!!! SPOILER ALERT!!! The rest of this blog post requires a SPOILER WARNING!!! If you haven’t watched this week’s episode, then you should probably stop reading now. We are back, and we’re here to help you talk through Fear! We were fairly critical of many of the decisions made by the showrunners last season, particularly Madison’s death, and we had all sorts of problems with the second half storyline, to the point where I wasn’t sure I’d want to come back and podcast about the show. However, with the promise of helping people as a story in Season 5, and a really good trailer, we decided to continue on podcasting about Fear the Walking Dead! Where’d they get the plane? We see how far they would go to try to help people. They get a plane. Now, do we understand that Althea (and possibly Strand) are pilots, or did they read a book or play a flying simulator to prepare for the journey? That wasn’t very clear; and where exactly did they get that plane? How did they get fuel for the plane? Who knows. Maybe they will explain it next week. That said, it seems REALLY risky to fly a plane in the apocalypse, especially if you aren’t an experienced pilot. Why is it so hard to help people? One thing I had a hard time resolving is why they had such a hard time find people that needed their help. Helping a big group? Sure, maybe I can buy that, but I had a problem believing they hadn’t picked up any individuals to join up with them. Surely, after a few months, they would have had to run into someone, but they hadn’t. Is Logan a bad guy? I am really torn about Logan. If the denim plant is really his, then why shouldn’t he be able to take it back? It’s pretty clear it wasn’t a con job to me. He knew the combination and too much about the plant to think it could be anything other than what he said. Maybe in the zombie apocalypse, property and deeds don’t matter anymore, but I can’t really blame him for doing what he’s done, especially since he did it without any bloodshed. That said, why did it take him so long to claim what’s his? Did he have to send them so far away that they needed a plane to get there? Luciana hurt again??? She is not my favorite character, and a lot of people agree with me. I was surprised to see her start the season injured again. They had a great opportunity to kill off her character, so I hope they have something planned for her this season that will be worth it. To me, I had to wonder why they would injure her again. Why not someone else? What’s going on? I have to admit, I missed the symbols reference. It was only the mention on Talking Dead that alerted me to it. In case you missed it, too, those circle symbols on the paperwork were also on the helicopter that saved Rick, so they may be tied to the movies. It has to be. That walker had wires attached, and they tasered Althea, and then there’s all that radiation. I don’t know where this story is going, but it seems to be going somewhere. FTWD Ratings aren’t terrible… This week, FTWD ratings were off from both last season’s premiere and the finale, but ratings were at levels
Kyle, Mark and Brian talk through Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 1, the season premiere, titled Here to Help. It was a good episode, with some promise for the season, but also had a few headscratchers, like who knew that Al (and possibly Strand) could fly a plane?

We can all feel like God doesn't hear or know sometimes what we're going through. Or maybe we feel like he's out to get us. In this Mother's Day sermon we look at Jesus' interaction with a desperate mom, and we will see that really God is HERE TO HELP, whatever it is we are going through.
