Mike und Mo hingegegen haben sich „Kingdom of Night“ angesehen, ein isometrisches Action-Rollenspiel mit Pixelgrafik und einem Setting, das eindeutig von Stranger Things inspiriert ist: Ein kleines amerikanisches Städtchen in den 80ern, zwielichtige Kuttenträger (not the Metal kind), Dämonen, Zombies und eine Kneipe als zentraler Hub (not the Winchester). Mike hat endlich den PC für seine Nichte gebaut: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F, Radeon 9060 XT 16GB und 32GB RAM. Zweiunddreißig Gigabyte Random Access Memory? In this economy? Alles gut, er hat es gerade noch erwischt, bevor die Preise in komplett Absurde gestiegen sind. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Build, preislich noch im Rahmen, wenn auch nicht das allergünstigste, AM5-Plattform leicht aufrüstbar, Grafikkarte mit genug Bumms und VRAM für die nächsten Jahre. Das Lian Li Lancool 207 ist ein durchdachtes Gehäuse, in dem es sich angenehm bauen lässt, dabei aber nicht zu groß. Nur ein zusätzlicher Staubfilter in der Front wäre noch nett. Grundsätzlich brauchen heimische Vögel kein Futter von uns. Singvögel, Greifvögel und Eulen finden genug und artgerechtes Futter selbst. Und auch im Winter ist Zufüttern nur in Ausnahmefällen nötig. Die gesetzlichen Regelungen zum Füttern von Vögeln aller Art sind von Kanton zu Kanton verschieden. Grundsätzlich verboten bzw. bewilligungspflichtig ist es jedenfalls bei Greifvögeln und Eulen. Singvögel können oder sollen höchstens gefüttert werden, wenn im Winter während längerer Zeit eine Schneedecke liegt und/oder die Böden gefroren sind. Wichtig ist dabei immer das richtige, artgerechte Futter. Von Brot und anderen Lebensmitteln wird dringend abgeraten, sie sind für Vögel nicht verträglich. Singvögel brauchen Samen und Kerne oder Früchte. Auch sollte der Futterplatz regelmässig von Kot befreit werden. Und er sollte «katzensicher» sein, um für die Vögel nicht zur Falle zu werden.

Google stellte das Pixel 10 und 10 Pro (XL) vor, und auch wenn das meiste schon durch Leaks bekannt war, sind doch einige nette Sachen dabei: Zuerst ja, der neue SoC, Tensor G5, ist tatsächlich bei TSMC anstatt bei Samsung gefertigt, was Google auch besonders hervorhob. Wie erwartet führt das wohl auch zu einem ganz ordentlichen Performance-Sprung von laut Google etwa 34 Prozent, wobei die Kerne zum Teil weiterhin aus der alten Generation stammen. Damit können sie auch nicht an die Spitze aufschließen, dort sitzt derzeit unangefochten Qualcomm mit den eigenen Oryon-2-Kernen im Snapdragon 8 Elite. Das größte Upgrade für das normale Pixel 10 dürfte die dritte Kamera mit Telelinse sein, was bisher nur dem Pro vorbehalten war. Die gesamte Reihe hingegen bekommt Unterstützung für den kabellosen Ladestandard Qi 2.2 mit ins Gerät integrierten Magneten. Insgesamt vielversprechend auch ohne Spitzenperformance, aber wir (bzw. Nach dem ersten Frost werden sie vom Baum geschüttelt, in flachen Harassen an einem vor Regen geschützten, schattigen und kühlen Ort nachgereift. Erst dann werden sie weich, aromatisch und süss. Es ist nicht mehr die Zeit der Melonen. Ich weiss nicht, ob du sie magst - es gibt ja einige Sorten davon. Jedenfalls ähnlich anderen vergleichbaren Früchten sind auch Melonen umgeben von einer verhältnismässig harten Schale, dann folgt ein eher weicher Teil des Fruchtfleisches und ganz im Zentrum, im Innern die Kerne. Wir Menschen haben den Mittleren Teil, also das Fruchtfleisch am liebsten. Die Schale schneiden wir weg und die Kerne beseitigen wir auch. Dabei sind es gerade sie, die quasi die nächste Generation sind. Das, was das Fortbestehen enthält, ist also im Zentrum am besten geschützt, umgeben von viel anderem Material. Ich denke, eine Gesellschaft tut gut daran, das, was sie zukünftig erhält auch am besten zu schützen und sich nicht nur beim Alltäglichen - dem Fruchtfleisch - aufzuhalten. Die einheimische Pimpernuss (Staphylea pinnata) wird als mehrstämmiger Strauch gut 3-4m hoch. Sie bevorzugt sonnige bis leicht halbschattige Lagen mit kalkhaltiger und lockerer Erde. Sie wächst vasenförmig: unten eher schmal und oben mit ausladender Krone, deshalb lässt sie sich gut mit einheimischen Kräutern wie Dost und Bergminze unterpflanzen. Blüten duften nach Kokosnuss Im Mai erscheinen weiss-gelbe Blüten in hängenden Rispen, welche einen leichten Kokos-Duft verströmen. Kandiert sind sie eine Delikatesse: Blütenrispen auswählen, welche unten noch knospig sind, mit leicht geschlagenem Eiweiss einpinseln, mit feinstem, weissen Zucker bestreuen und auf ein Backpapier legen. Die Blütenrispen bei knapp 40° im geöffneten Backofen oder auf dem Dörrex trocknen lassen. Blasige Früchte im September Im Frühherbst erscheinen die Früchte wie aufgeblasene Kapseln, darin sind 2-4 hartschalige, hellbraune Samen, welche sich bei Reife lösen und in der blasigen Frucht rasseln = 'pimpern'. Die Samen besitzen eine sehr harte Schale und die darin enthaltenen Kerne sind essbar, sie schmecken fein nussig.
