Lisa Kelly returns to the podcast to introduce us to the transformative power of Kundalini energy healing—a modality that works directly with the life force energy we all carry within. This eye-opening conversation explores how trauma becomes physically stored in our bodies, creating patterns and limitations that conscious awareness alone can't always address. The results can be life-changing—from newfound clarity and authenticity to natural shifts in relationships, habits, and self-perception.You'll discover the fascinating connection between energetic and physical well-being, including why post-session practices like grounding, proper nutrition, and energetic hygiene are crucial for integration. Lisa shares powerful personal stories of transformation, including how Kundalini helped her process grief, anger, and past traumas when traditional approaches reached their limits.Whether you're new to energy work or looking to deepen your healing journey, this conversation offers practical insights on finding a trustworthy facilitator, preparing for sessions, and integrating the experience. The episode particularly resonates for empaths, those with trauma history, and anyone feeling stuck in their healing despite years of talk therapy.Ready to discover if this path of surrender might be the missing piece in your healing journey? According to the 2022 Canadian Survey on Disability (CSD), 27% of Canadians aged 15 years and older (8.0 million people) have one or more disabilities that limit their daily activities. Employment is important for individuals with disabilities as it provides economic self-sufficiency, a platform to use their skills, and increased engagement in community life.   Research by Deloitte has shown that companies with inclusive cultures are eight times more likely to achieve better business outcomes, which are closely tied to employee performance and productivity. The success of businesses depends on the success of their employees, and employee satisfaction is crucial for productivity and success.   Lisa Kelly is a business manager for the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. With extensive experience in business development, program management, training, and workforce development, I am a passionate advocate for a prosperous Ontario. My role involves reaching out to organizations to promote the benefits of joining the  'indispensable partner of business' network of over 60,000 businesses, organizations, and associations across the province. The OCC focuses on advancing policy priorities and recommendations to the government on policies that affect the province's businesses and communities. The OCC engages in ongoing discussions across various policy areas such as health, energy, sustainability, AI, workforce development, economic reconciliation, and infrastructure policy.   On a more personal note, inclusion is a business imperative. It contributes to productivity and a healthy culture. Diversity in our workforce provides unique perspectives and helps us identify and remove barriers for customers and employees. It drives innovation and makes our workplaces better.   For more information: https://discoverability.network/#open-modal Email: lisakelly@occ.ca

Her own life journey from career to entrepreneur as a single mother - while getting sober, has not always been easy but with a profound shift in mindset and a commitment to becoming the best version of herself, she has been able to find purpose and passion inspiring others to find the courage to make the inner changes necessary for external transformation. In Lisa's words: “Our external world is a reflection of our internal world.... Your whole life is a manifestation of the thoughts that go on in your head…  By understanding how powerful our subconscious mind is, we can release old programming, BELIEVE that anything is possible, harness our infinite potential and leverage the support of the Universe. “                  Lisa's 3 top tips: 1. You don't have to know HOW the big dream is going to manifest. You worry about the ‘what' - let the Universe take care of the ‘how'. 2. Act as if you're already your future self - behave and make decisions from that place of ‘already being there'. 3. If you're in a place of ‘I don't even know what I want', or lacking clarity on a big vision, then start from the place of ‘how do I want to FEEL'? This will start to bring desires into focus. You’ve probably heard about the Law of Attraction and how you can manifest anything you want by envisioning the future and setting and intention.  But does this really work? The answer lies in both science and spirituality. The universe is made of energy and we ourselves our energy beings. So how can we tap into that energy and direct it to give us more of what we actually want? What are the silver linings or unveilings we want to keep moving forward? & What kind of world do we want to build after? Awo Okaikor M. Aryee-Price, Ed.D. is an anti-racist teacher-organizer and teacher educator who organizes from an anti-racist de/colonial Black feminist lens. She is one of the co-founders of MapSO Freedom School and a founding steering committee member for the National Black Lives Matter at School, a Black-led organizing group of educators, parents, and community organizers committed to transforming schooling for Black and Brown students in the nation currently referred to as “The United States of America.” As a former classroom teacher, teacher-leader, and now, teacher educator, Okaikor is committed to undoing and unlearning the systems and structures that hinders all of us from being able to access our full human-selves. Okaikor is also a core trainer and organizer for the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond– an anti-racist organization committed to Undoing Racism. Okaikor’s dissertation research explored the dehumanizing impact of Eurocentrism and racism on Black educatorhood and Black studenthood, and what we can do to rehumanize ourselves and our learning environments. Most importantly, Okaikor is the mother of two amazing children, Saige Ayikailey and Kaeden Nii Ayikundzra and partner to Keith L. Price. Belinda Bellinger is jubilant about youth empowerment, community organizing, performance theater/spoken word, and healing work. She is known for creating instructional spaces where students are seen, heard, and encouraged to be their authentic self. Over the last 15+ years, she has worked with Bay Area young people in many formations, from tutor to organizer. Before becoming a classroom teacher, she did community organizing, developing young people into social justice warriors who fought for Ethnic Studies, cleaner bathrooms, more counselors and less cops, and youth employment. She began her teaching career as an English teacher at KIPP Bayview Academy, and is currently the 7th grade Social Studies teacher at Summit: Tamalpais in Richmond, CA. Lisa Kelly, an Afrolatina runner and rugby player from Sacramento, CA, is a 9 year teaching veteran. Raised in a small village in South Derbyshire (10 minutes from where she lives now), Lisa grew up a self-professed "teacher's pet", who tried very hard academically - a virtue which is demonstrated by the senior role she occupies today. Her leadership qualities showed themselves early - in her pre-school nativity she played Mary and had a tendency to boss her schoolmates around. At university, she first studied Geography, involved a lot of human geography and international relations, furthering her interest in people and the social aspects of healthcare, sparked by a trip to Ethiopia when she was 16. To this day, in her current role, she manages the partnership with a hospital in Ethiopia. As a leader, Lisa emphasises building relationships and connections, recognising the value of every team member's contributions, understanding what they bring to the table and how you can make the best use of that.

In the North American Church, music and worship styles play a big role in our church experience. It is one of the first things we notice when attending a new church, and a big factor in whether or not we continue to attend. Many of the West's largest congregation are more recognizable from their syndicated music than what they preach.  The question is, how does what we sing in our churches impact what we believe about God? This week on the podcast, Lisa Woodruff interviews Kelly Sammon of The Organizing Advantage. Kelly resides in Lakeville, MN with her husband, Scott and her two sets of identical twins!  Kelly participated in Organize 365's mentorship program and in addition to being a Sunday Basket Workshop Organizer, she also represents the Direct Sales Workbox and the Entrepreneur Workbox.  She was a stay-at-home mom thinking about what she wanted to do when I went back to work when she found Lisa's podcasts. She has always loved organizing, it comes easily to her and gets her excited. When she lived at home, she completely organized her parent's home and offices, top to bottom just for fun and would jump at the chance to help family and friends. Once she realized this was an actual industry, she knew she wanted to be an organizer instead of going back to a corporate job. She loves helping people and creating systems that make their life easier.    Her advice for anyone considering becoming a Professional Organizer is two fold.  1) Just start and don't worry about having everything ready. You learn as you go and you improve and tweak along the way.   2) Say yes and do it afraid.  If someone asks you to speak or organize something you haven't done before, just say yes and go figure it out. Allow yourself to stretch beyond your comfort zone. It's how you learn and grow.  Just act "as if" you've done it many times before and nobody will be the wiser.     Listen in to learn more about Kelly and the Organizing Advantage!

Tonight's special guest is Lisa Kelly from California, a gang-style date rape survivor and blogger at BreakingMySilence: A Story of Hope and Healing. "I grew up in Virginia by Christian parents who loved each other," she writes. "My Dad was around but was a distant father .. he suffered from untreated depression and came across as an angry person. He scared me and I made many bad decisions in order to get attention from him. That vulnerability and desperation for male attention made me a prime target to get taken advantage of. I ended up in abusive situations and ultimately raped." She says, "I am a survivor of acquaintance rape or the more familiar term would be “date rape.” I was first raped at 16 yrs old on my first Valentine's Day date. After the first rape my light dimmed and I began to hate myself. My confidence turned to shame and embarrassment. I wanted to escape the pain I felt so I went to drinking alcohol. Drinking and partying led to more bad decisions and I was raped again by my boyfriend at the time and his friend. They took turns having sex with me while I was passed out. After this happened it lead to me starving myself and going on diets and drinking and partying even more. I wanted to control something so I controlled my weight in an unhealthy way." She concludes, "I thought that moving away from my problems would solve them. I continued my partying lifestyle living in this new place where no one knew me; I felt a false sense of freedom. At the age of 25 I went out on a date and I was raped again. It wasn't until God stepped into my life did I begin to heal and find true freedom from my past. Here I am today using God's strength and encouragement to speak out and break my silence in hopes of helping other survivors!"
