Para él, el operativo en Rio de Janeiro del martes y el del jueves en la ciudad de Campinas, Estado de Sao Paulo, son una clara muestra de esta desigualdad.   “En los dos casos son muy, muy ilustrativos y muy importantes, porque en San Paulo es una operación que se hizo en una región donde no están los pobres, donde están los más ricos del país. En Río la operación de estos días fue en dos de las mayores favelas de la ciudad, donde están millones de personas trabajadoras, pobres, mujeres, jóvenes, sobre todo negras y negros. La situación es muy clara, o sea, no se combate el crimen organizado atacando las poblaciones, las favelas, porque ahí no están los que manejan el dinero del crimen organizado. Por eso cuando ocurre lo que ocurrió en Río de Janeiro, no están combatiendo el crimen organizado, están combatiendo a la población”, se interroga Carbonari. El balance oficial del operativo en Río de Janeiro es de 121 muertos y 113 detenidos, lo que la convirtió en la operación más mortal de la historia de Brasil. Buenos días. Entramos en la recta final de la campaña presidencial y las cifras se estrechan. La sorpresa hasta ahora, la parece estar dando el candidato del Partido Libertario, Johannes Kaiser, quien ha comenzado a consolidarse en el cuarto lugar acechando a Evelyn Matthei. La encuesta Cadem dada a conocer este domingo muestra a Jeannette Jara liderando las preferencias con un 26%, seguida de José Antonio Kast con un 22%. En tanto, y aunque Matthei (14%) mantiene el tercer lugar, Kaiser se instaló en la cuarta posición a solo dos puntos de la exalcaldesa. Un escenario similar mostró el estudio de Panel Ciudadano publicado el sábado. Ahí el candidato libertario aparece a 3 puntos de Matthei, mientras Jara y Kast comparten el primer lugar con un empate técnico. La irrupción de Kaiser, sin embargo, está lejos de ser una buena noticia para Jara. La candidata oficialista no logra despegar, pese a la división de votos en la oposición. Según el sondeo de Cadem, incluso, en un escenario de segunda vuelta la exministra del Presidente Boric pierde prácticamente con todos los candidatos opositores, superando solo a Mayne-Nicholls y Enríquez Ominami. A menos de un mes de la primera vuelta, pareciera que el votante obligado comienza a hacerse sentir, advirtiendo que los 50 metros finales podrían ser de infarto.

En République démocratique du Congo, dans le bassin du grand fleuve et aux abords de l'immense forêt primaire, la deuxième plus vaste au monde après celle de l'Amazonie, la petite ville de Yangambi abrite les vestiges d'une station de recherche agronomique fondée au début du XXe siècle par les colonisateurs belges dans le but de développer l'exploitation agricole. L'Inéac (Institut national pour l'étude agronomique du Congo belge), aujourd'hui Inéra (Institut national pour l'étude et la recherche agronomique), semble peuplé de fantômes, de ses archives abandonnées à ses annexes rongées par la jungle. Entre ville et forêt, au fil d'une déambulation somptueusement filmée et sonorisée, Sammy Baloji, artiste et réalisateur congolais, regarde vivre les lieux, les gens et les choses, et fait résonner les existences oubliées de deux agronomes affectés au Congo, l'un en 1910, l'autre durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. "Premier fonctionnaire belge à la peau noire", premier Congolais à avoir suivi des études supérieures en Belgique, Paul Panda Farnana (1888-1930) prend rapidement conscience de l'entreprise de pillage raciste et sanguinaire que constitue la colonisation belge et s'engage dans la lutte politique panafricaniste et nationaliste avant de retourner, "de guerre lasse", dans son village natal, pour y périr, peut-être assassiné. Le Flamand Abiron Beirnaert (1903-1941), lui, nommé directeur de la division "palmier à huile" de l'Inéac, a mis au point une variété hybride, le Tenera, dont le haut rendement a ouvert la voie à la monoculture et à la déforestation. Situado entre Perú y Colombia, dos de los grandes productores de esta droga en el mundo, Ecuador ha pasado a ser uno de los puntos de distribución más importantes a nivel mundial, con dos destinos principales: Estados Unidos y Europa. ¿Cómo puede un país que apenas produce cocaína convertirse en un gran exportador? No es un gran productor, pero se ha convertido en uno de los principales puntos de tránsito y exportación de cocaína a nivel mundial. Ecuador decomisó el año pasado 300 toneladas de esta droga, aunque se estima que son apenas una cuarta parte del total que pasa por su territorio -que superaría las 1.000- antes de ser exportada, principalmente a Estados Unidos y Europa. Posición geográfica Según un informe de la Organización Mundial de Aduanas (OMA), un 30% de la cocaína detectada en contenedores marítimos tiene un puerto de carga declarado en Ecuador. ¿A qué se debe este fenómeno? “Lo que ha provocado que Ecuador tenga esta condición es que fundamentalmente nos ubicamos en un espacio geográfico donde confluyen las vías de tráfico desde Colombia, particularmente con un perfil costero bastante amplio. Los principales destinos son Estados Unidos y Europa. Para Europa generalmente lo que se hace es contaminar los barcos que llevan banano, principalmente para hacer que se inserten cargamentos de droga en ellas”, explica a RFI Diego Pérez Enríquez, docente de la Escuela de Seguridad y Defensa del Instituto de Altos Estudios Nacionales en Quito. “Hay que considerar además geográficamente que la frontera de Ecuador con Colombia es un territorio que tiene poca presencia estatal de los dos costados, y eso hace naturalmente que la operación de las organizaciones de tráfico sea bastante más sencilla, bastante más eficiente”, señala asimismo. Empezando a producir Esta frontera compartida con Colombia está en el origen de otra de las alertas en el país: Ecuador está empezando a convertirse en productor. Por el momento las cifras son relativamente bajas, unas 60 toneladas el año pasado. Predominan los cultivos de coca en las provincias de Carchi y Sucumbios, donde se instalan los grupos criminales tras pasar la frontera. “En general, son grupos con una doble identidad. Son organizaciones generalmente colombianas y hay que recordar la operación que tienen las disidencias de las FARC en la zona de frontera con Ecuador”, indica Diego Pérez Enríquez. “Han comenzado a colonizar esos espacios a través de gente propia, gente que viene del lado colombiano, pero también ciudadanos ecuatorianos que en ese costado del país no tienen necesariamente opciones de trabajo, no tienen posibilidades de estudio, no tienen mayores expectativas de supervivencia o para la supervivencia. Y esto, en última instancia, genera un incentivo poderoso para que esas organizaciones se asienten en esos territorios”, detalla el politólogo. Ecuador está considerado como el tercer país del mundo que más drogas decomisa tras Colombia y Estados Unidos. Il mentionne l'appareil de propagande de Nayib Bukele, son culte du leader et l'effondrement progressif de la démocratie. Le journal La Prensa, lui, évoque une restructuration particulièrement radicale de l'éducation dans le pays. Les journalistes rappellent que cette nomination intervient alors que plusieurs syndicats alertent sur des pressions fréquentes sur les enseignants : rien que cette semaine, 14 professeurs ont été licenciés dans le pays. Sur X, le président s'est exprimé : il a toute confiance en la nouvelle ministre de l'Éducation pour « impulser une transformation profonde ». L'idée semble plutôt de réimplanter des valeurs conservatrices à l'école. En 2024, Bukele avait ordonné au ministère de l'Éducation d'éliminer « toute trace » de l'approche de genre dans les manuels scolaires.
