This episode of Value Proposition shares ideas and methods to make your next event a success through creative marketing strategies designed to boosted awareness and drive attendance. As an executive or senior manager, it can be hard to determine when and why to bring on an executive assistance, so we walk you through a variety of ways to maximize your time and hire an executive assistant. It is a game changer and our partner WorkBetterNow, which we also feature in this episode can help not only with your executive assistant, but also a variety of remote talent and workforce needs to help your company or organization succeed and grow. Amplify Your Event's Attendance The proof is in the numbers. When your event has a large number of attendees, it sends a clear message to everyone that your association is sought-after and doing something right. It also assures your team that all their hard work is paying off.  From budgeting and logistics to marketing and advertising, event organizers already have a significant responsibility to create a profitable event. Ensuring you have a worthwhile number of attendees is one of the primary elements of that responsibility.  When you have a good turnout, you can easily prove the ROI generated by your event to investors through increased sales or awareness. Organizers can then confidently make changes and tweak their event planning strategies with an increased sense of assurance. Executive Assistants: When You Should Hire One, And Why The responsibilities of an executive can be overwhelming for a single person to manage on their own. The success of any organization doesn't come without longer work hours, additional people to oversee, and more duties to fulfill. Sometimes, executives have no choice but to focus their time and energy on administrative work, tedious tasks, and running errands. Having an executive assistant can be a professional relief and lifesaver, allowing the executive to focus on revenue strategies and company operations. An executive assistant typically has higher stakes than a general administrative assistant because they work directly with the C-suite. In addition, general assistants usually support an entire office, whereas an executive assistant is one-on-one with a single executive, ensuring their needs are met. EXEC Featured Partner: WorkBetterNow WorkBetterNow provides incredible full-time and dedicated remote talent from Latin America to work with North American businesses. Their clients turn to them for top performers, from executive assistants to over 40 roles such as marketing coordinators, customer service reps, and project managers.   WorkBetterNow's talent is highly vetted and matched specifically to your business needs.   About EXEC EXEC is a plug-and-play suite of tools and resources built to run a premium member-focused organization benefits program. In this week's podcast we talk to Tim Akinnusi, the CEO of MortgageMarket.co.za. Tim is originally from Nigeria but has resided in South Africa for 30 years. He is the former Managing Executive of ABSA Home Loans, and prior to that he was the Executive Head of Sales and Client Value Management at Nedbank Home Loans.   Tim is a seasoned property finance expert with over 15 years' experience in the financial sector. Tim started MortgageMarket in 2020 to help ordinary South Africans get the best loan to value.   MortgageMarket is the first online marketplace for home loans to give customers direct access to the Top 7 banks in SA and has done more than 2000 homeloans; they pay customers R5,000 cash back just for getting their home loan through the platform.    MortgageMarket will also help you find a property, understand if the property is priced correctly so you are not over-paying for the property. They also help you get the best deal for your mortgage by being able to compare deals across banks and negotiate better.   MortgageMarket also works with property developers who are buying land in good areas to partner with them to help them make sure they are packaging the properties in a way that allows the banks to see value in what they are offering.   MortgageMarket is also expanding into insurance and bridging finance.    In this podcast episode Tim also shares how to increase your credit score without a credit card or taking on more debt. The higher your credit score, the more like you are to qualify for a home loan.   He lost out on buying his first home for R345,000 off plan because he had too much debt (an expensive car), so he ended up buying his first home for R600,000 and ended up paying transfer costs.   He has started to build a strong property portfolio because he can see properties before they hit the market, from working with property developers.

The Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act, or JOBS Act, will be celebrating its fifth anniversary in April. When it was passed in 2012, the hopes were that streamlining the financial disclosure process and opening crowd funding platforms for capital raising would encourage more companies to go public. The Financial Executives Research Foundation, in partnership with Donnelly Financial Solutions, is working on a research project focusing on the Jobs Act and the impact on Emerging Growth Companies born out of the legislation. In this issue of the podcast, we speak with Joseph Hall, a partner at the law firm of Davis Polk. Mr. Hall is head of the firm's corporate governance practice and is a former Managing Executive for Policy at the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission. Today, he often advises companies on the disclosure relief embedded in the Jobs Act. Special Guest: Joseph Hall.
