Václav Tomanec je mladý úspěšný podnikatel. V projektu One percent radí lidem, jak se stát lídry vlastního života, jak žít to, co chceme. Kdo by to nechtěl? Bude to spíš konfrontace anebo naopak souhra?
On this week's episode of Beautiful and Bothered, we're discussing the worst looks from the controversial 2026 Met Gala! Including the backlash surrounding Jeff Bezos involvement, toned-deaf celebrities walking past protestors, and the collapse of integrity and detail in art!
It's Cinco de Mayo, so Rob and Mark are skipping the bourbon and drinking tequila their boss brought back from Mexico while admittedly day drunk. He wanted them to find out if he got taken. He probably did.The Campo Segrado añejo smells amazing and tastes like a mint julep, which sends them down a rabbit hole on the four additives that can legally go into a tequila bottle without showing up on the label. Then there's the couple in Guadalajara who built a website to expose it all and got their house raided for it.After that, El Padrino mezcal. It's smoky, a little weird, and honestly worth your time, especially if bourbon is your thing and you've never given it a real shot. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
By the DOJ's own actions, what was promised as a meaningful step toward transparency has instead turned into a masterclass in bad faith. Despite a clear legal mandate requiring the release of Epstein-related records by December 19th, the Department of Justice has released roughly 1% of what it was obligated to disclose. Not 1% of what was convenient. Not 1% of what they felt like parting with. One percent of the total universe of documents they have publicly acknowledged possessing. This is not a paperwork hiccup or a minor delay—it is an institutional refusal to comply with the spirit or the letter of the law. For decades, the DOJ has insisted that Epstein was thoroughly investigated, that the evidence was reviewed, that the case was handled—yet when transparency is finally required, the files suddenly become too numerous, too complex, and too sensitive to release on time. The contradiction is glaring: either these materials were already organized and understood, or the DOJ has been misleading the public for years about the depth and seriousness of its investigation. For survivors, this isn't just bureaucratic nonsense—it's a direct insult. Many of them waited decades to be believed, to see the system acknowledge what was done to them and who enabled it. Releasing a token sliver of records while slow-walking the rest sends a clear message: institutional self-protection still outweighs accountability. To the American public, it's an unmistakable middle finger—proof that even when Congress acts, even when the law is explicit, the DOJ believes it can stall, obfuscate, and wear people down through attrition. Transparency delayed is transparency denied, and in this case, the delay isn't accidental. It reinforces the same power imbalance that allowed Epstein to operate in plain sight for so long, signaling that when powerful interests are implicated, justice remains optional and accountability remains negotiable.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Justice Department has released only 1% of Epstein files, new filing says

Send a textEpisode 432 — Bob Dole: The Life That Brought Him There (Part 13) Roy vs. Dole for U.S. Senate, 1974: One Tenth of One Percent (C)In this thirteenth installment of our continuing series on the life and career of Bob Dole, we reach the dramatic conclusion of one of the closest and most consequential elections in Kansas history — the 1974 race for the United States Senate. As the campaign between Senator Dole and Democratic Congressman William R. Roy entered its final days, the political climate remained extraordinarily difficult for Republicans nationwide. The aftermath of the Watergate scandal had reshaped the national mood, and many believed the Kansas seat was poised to change hands. But what followed was a finish so close it would become legendary. When the votes were finally counted, Bob Dole held his Senate seat by one tenth of one percent — a razor-thin victory that preserved his political career and helped shape the next two decades of American politics. In this episode we walk through the closing days of the campaign, the final strategies, the election night tension, and the stunningly narrow result that decided the race.We also hear reflections from Dr. Roy himself, drawn from his oral history interviews, as he spoke later in life about the campaign, the outcome, and the path his life took afterward. Dr. Roy passed away in May 2014, leaving behind a legacy not only as a physician and public servant but as one of the central figures in one of Kansas's most memorable political contests. The program also features moments from a lecture at the Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics, where participants revisited the race decades later — including Dr. Roy's son and Bob Dole's campaign manager, former Kansas Lieutenant Governor Dave Owen.Together their reflections provide a rare behind-the-scenes look at a campaign decided by the narrowest of margins — and the respect that endured between opponents long after the ballots were counted.A race decided by one tenth of one percent… and remembered for generations. Should My Club Switch?Today on Black Dragon Biker TV, we're tackling a question that's being asked more and more across the motorcycle set:Should a 99%er club make the switch to 1%er status?Lately, we've seen a growing number of clubs attempting to move from 99%er, riding, or social MCs into the 1%er world — and not everyone is prepared for what that actually means. This isn't just about changing a patch. It's about changing your club's entire reality. Today's Conversation Will Cover:What it really means to go from 99%er to 1%erWhy many clubs are not ready for the switchThe responsibilities, expectations, and risks that come with itWhat must be in place before a club even considers making the moveWhat happens when clubs rush the process or ignore protocolWe'll also talk about the hard truth: Not every club is meant to be a 1%er club — and that's okay.

Money and power are merging on the high seas. The New Yorker's Evan Osnos exposes how super yachts became the new seat of American oligarchy.Full show notes and resources can be found here: jordanharbinger.com/1217What We Discuss with Evan Osnos:Billionaire political donations increased 200x in 20 years ($25M to $3B in 2024), marking America's shift from democracy to oligarchy — where economic and political power fuse.Super yachts are floating power centers — not just status symbols but boardrooms, tax havens, and networking hubs where billion-dollar deals happen beyond public scrutiny and regulation. Each super yacht pollutes like 1,500 cars running continuously, costs 10 percent of its purchase price annually to maintain, and creates toxic work environments for crew in legal gray zones. The ultra-wealthy face insatiable desire — where 50-meter boats become "embarrassing," half-billion-dollar yachts are "quite nice," and satisfaction remains perpetually out of reach.History shows extreme inequality resolves through crisis — war, revolution, or pandemic. But we can prevent these outcomes by making systems less advantageous to the few and more inclusive to all. Support politicians who limit campaign finance influence. Vote with your wallet. Build communities that value contribution over consumption. “It's just the way music is consumed. My kids went to summer camp, and they wanted to, like, bring music with them. But they're not allowed to have electronic devices, like, they can't bring a phone. And my son was, like, ‘Oh, I'll just take my phone.' And I'm like, ‘No, you don't understand, like, you're not going to have internet.' And they're like, ‘Well, how do I get the music from, like, Spotify, like, on my phone?' I'm like, ‘You can't without internet.' And just the whole concept, like, you used to carry a record or even a cassette or a CD, and it was physical, and you had it.” – Sherene Strausberg This episode is the second half of my conversation with Emmy-nominated art director, sound engineer, and founder and creative director of 87th Street Creative Sherene Strausberg as we talk about her work to bring diversity to sound, how streaming audio is creating a generation gap and what that might mean for marketers, and whether the days of going to the movie theater have come and gone. As always, if you have questions for my guest, you're welcome to reach out through the links in the show notes. If you have questions for me, visit audiobrandingpodcast.com where you'll find a lot of ways to get in touch. Plus, subscribing to the newsletter will let you know when the new podcasts are available and what the newest audio chats will be about. If you're getting some value from listening, the best ways to show your support are to share this podcast with a friend and leave an honest review. Both those things really help – and I'd love to feature your review on future podcasts. (0:00:00) - Creating Audio for VisualsOur conversation picks up as Sherene shares her approach to combining visual and sonic elements for an effective branding strategy, and her recent work on a particularly compelling, and challenging, animation project. “It was for a nonprofit named Womankind, the opening part of this animated video I did for them was about, you know, these really devastating statistics,” she tells us. “But then it kind of changed tone... and so we needed a real shift, and no track was able to really do that in the timing that we needed. So I ended up using two different tracks and through the power of music editing we were able to very smoothly change that tone.” She tells us more about her work with diverse composers and voices, and partnering with such groups as One Percent for the Planet. “I make animated videos,” she explains, “I can't clean the carbon out of the air with my business, right? That's not what I do… but it's finally getting me to put sort of, like, you know, my money where my mouth is.”(0:08:24) - Evolution of Audio TechnologyWe look at how sound technology has moved from big and loud to small and private, and how sound has shifted from a communal to a personal experience. “You know, go back to the ‘80s when suddenly there were Walkmans and you were listening on these tiny headphones,” she says, “but then it became the tiny music file that went into the tiny headphones.” The discussion turns to where such a trend might lead, and she wonders if a theatrical experience like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice could ever be replaced by streaming media. “Sure, yeah, it fills your peripheral vision,” she says about virtual and augmented reality. “It's bigger in scope but smaller in experience, you're obviously not experiencing it communally... I feel like I'll be saying to my kids, ‘In my day we went to movie theaters.'"(0:17:02) - Power of Sound in MediaWe discuss
