In any relationship we have responsibilities and a role to play, sometimes one person takes on more than the other without even realising. The responsibilities we take on can be subconscious and influenced by our parents, partners, peers and society, yet we have the freedom to define and redefine these within our relationships when and however we choose. We have the luxury of not having to maintain the gendered or stereotypical roles that have played out in the generations before us. We can live a life and relationship by design and not by default.Paige & Tom Harkin are a wife and husband team who have built three successful businesses together that support men, women, and leaders to question their current reality and ask themselves who they really want to be for tomorrow? Together they discuss the challenges they've overcome in their own relationship as well as those facing society. We chat  Checking in on our life and authoring our future The invisible load that women often bear in a relationship Gender stereotypes and how they can be hard to break   Better Relationships We empower couples to create thriving relationships so that they can play all out in life, set big goals and put plans in place to actually achieve them Better World Many research studies have shown that great relationships are associated with better health, greater happiness, and even a longer life. If more of us had thriving, healthy, happy romantic relationships, we know we would have a better world. That's why, every time someone works with us, via our partnership with Buy1Give1 we also help someone else in the world. Yep a stranger, someone you'll never meet. The recent Oceania Track & Field Championships in Townsville are the central theme for Episode 20 of DTT. With Sean Whipp enduring the European heatwave on a diet of pasta and chianti, Tim is joined in studio by Lisa Verstraten as co-host. And in the guest’s chair we are very pleased to have Oceania Athletics Council member Matt Mahon to provide the inside word on the Championships from the organiser’s perspective. The episode kicks off with the announcement of the very strong Victorian open teams taking part in the Australian Half Marathon Championship on the Sunshine Coast and the Australian Cross Country Championships in Wollongong – both competitions taking place in August. Discussion turns to the Oceania Championships with Matt providing some great insight into the organisation, the event and the bearing these Championships now have on athletics in Australia and across the region. The first part of our results wrap focusses on the Sprints/Hurdles, Jumps and Para events and includes interviews with Eddie Nketia, Jack Hale, Naa Anang, Mietta Russell, Brooke Stratton, Chad Perris and Marty Jackson. Stage two of the results wrap looks at the Middle & Long Distance, Throws & Walks with interviews from Matt Ramsden, Ben Buckingham, Melissa Duncan, Paige Campbell, Damien Birkenhead, Benjamin Voogd, Kelsey- Lee Barber, Isobella Simonelli and Jemima Montag. With so much great interview coverage from the Oceania Championships, we’ve edited six feature interviews that go into greater detail or provide a story we believe is worth retelling. These interviews are with Elizaveta Parnova, Kelsey-Lee Barber, Matt Ramsden, Brooke Stratton, Naa Anang and Harry Summers. Meanwhile in Victoria the XCR competition continues on it’s merry way and we provide coverage of the recent relay events… the Ekiden in Anglesea and the Road Relays at Sandown. Rosie Donegan leads off the other results segment with her tremendous Steeplechase effort in the US that places as the Australian lead for 2019 and in the box seat for a trip to Doha later in the year. We also go through the results from the various races conducted on the Gold Coast over the weekend. Like plenty of others in advertising, Paige Campbell, president and partner at Grady Britton, didn’t necessarily expect to end up in the industry. A fine arts major, she was “terrified of becoming a starving artist” and took a design class at the University of Oregon’s journalism school. (Fun fact: Campbell was the mascot for the Oregon Ducks) From there, Campbell ended up at the front desk of a small agency and, over time, from job to job, landed in her current role at the Portland, Oregon-based indie. In her element juggling multiple things at one time, Campbell is natural team-builder and has built a culture at the agency that keeps people there for long times, bucking the trend of talent moving from one place to another. Balance is a crucial part of keeping work and life on track for Campbell, especially when change, a constant in advertising, arises. Additionally, knowing ones self is something that she preaches, as it helps unravel the process of career direction and success — providing a foundation of purpose. Campbell has strong opinions about what needs to change in the agency world for it to thrive, noting that pitching is still a relatively arcane practice and one that is ripe for substantial disruption. To that end, Grady Britton makes it a point to not necessarily pitch, but rather to fully understand a potential client’s business which can lead to stronger overall results. An open, selfless leader, Campbell cares deeply about the people that make Grady Britton. Additionally, she is in tune with her responsibility to the community and the greater world at large, and constantly believes that, yes, marketing can make a meaningful contribution as long as they are “helping the good guys” of the world win. In the end, though, to Campbell, it all comes down to integrity — knowing that feeling good about the work, done in the most honest way, is the smartest way to not only run a business, but to live as well.

In a new series of infrequent experimental podcast episodes, Kenn talks to other comedians at his home, but they must remain standing up the whole time, in an effort to generate the same kind of energy they get presenting ideas on stage. This week's guests are veteran SLGTTPers, Winston Hodges and Paige Campbell. They explore a variety of subjects, including the longest stint talking about sports ever experienced on the likes of this podcast - and in a more relatable way than any non-sports nerd has ever heard - as well as track the current frustrations and lessons Kenn has been experiencing at this particular time, hitting his own wall, 3-years into his own comedy career. High energy, fun, and thoughtful. Enjoy!
