Brad Hutchings returns to discuss AI. Pete A Turner of the Break It Down Show has been working to use AI in some of his projects. He tried to find the Median debut for all baseball players. He did the work to find Detroit Tiger phenom, Jim Proctor who today is the middle player in all players, based on debut date, in MLB history (per baseball reference). Pete Writes about Jim in an article on X. Brad and Pete discuss Grok's inability to find the median player. Pete tried a few other AIs...they just don't work this way. Brad notes that AIs will give loquacious answers, but the results are more fantasy than fact. Then a funny test happens...what happens when you ask an AI, while offline, to reference an online resource...well...AI does a performance of giving an answer. This is a fun one.

Babe Ruth is probably the biggest cultural figure of the 20th century. Nearly 100 years after his death, his name remains relevant. In 1922, after losing the World Series to the cross bridge rival NY Giants, Babe Ruth and Bob Muesel departed for a barnstorming tour of the Mid West. Tim Grover, a Mid West kid from Iowa took to this story and wrote a book about Bob and Babe's tour. The story is full of early 20th century greatness. After the 1921 World Series, the Bambino and teammate Bob Meusel began a barnstorming tour in the Northeast. The new baseball commissioner, Kenesaw Mountain Landis, had warned them against doing it, citing a ridiculous and seldom-enforced rule. Greed overruled logic, and they did it anyway. Landis responded by suspending both players for the first six weeks of the 1922 season. A year later, Landis had waived the rule. And after losing the World Series in 1922, Babe Ruth and Bob Meusel left the harsh glare of New York for an eighteen-game Great Plains barnstorming tour. Stops included Omaha, Kansas City, and Denver. But also Sleepy Eye, Pratt, and Tarkio. They played in sleet, rain, and snow, traveled overnight on “jerkwater” railroads, and tolerated endless civic celebrations. They hit monstrous home runs, played against formidable Negro Leaguers, and faced some great small-town pitchers. They also visited orphanages, raised money for the American Legion, and created lifelong memories for hardscrabble farmers who would have never otherwise had a chance to see a major league baseball player. The adventure kicked off with a spitball in Perry, Iowa, on Friday the thirteenth…

While most leadership books focus on individual styles of leadership, author Charlie Hurdt realizes that leaders do not exist in a vacuum. By leveraging what he calls the "Team Collaboration Process," the author shows how any leader can empower their teams, and how the team-oriented leadership approach guarantees superior results. Drawing from author's own leadership experience, and a study of various management systems, The Team Leadership Handbook has taken small yet meaningful references, and refined them into a measured, easy-to-use framework primed for any team endeavor. This handbook will ensure the desired "end state" for any team: high performance and high job satisfaction while accomplishing the team's overall mission.

Lawrence Uchmanowicz isn't a guy you're likely to know. He spent his early career as an interrogator. As he seasoned into senior leadership, he deployed as a sergeant major for the 165th MI Bn. This deployment is unlike any other in modern history Though the battalion had an infantry company, E Co, 51st, it was D Co, that made the mark on history. Delta Company was strictly a counterintelligence asset. Then the Army started changing post cold-war to de-emphasize the tactical role for CI agents...and drastically reduce the role of interrogators. This change was happening rapidly in the summer of 1995. The company of interrogators was reduced and not back-filling. The interrogator company was shuttered and it's guidon furled. The remnants of the company were housed with D Co. Then they deployed...in a way that was never expected, and never repeated. Larry led the battalion and is on the Break It Down Show with Pete A Turner. How cool is this story. Go ahead and search for Larry Uchmanowicz? You'll find out right away...ONLY on the Break It Down Show is this story possible.

John Kiriakou knows from personal experience what it's like to be imprisoned when you shouldn't be. He was a CIA analyst and case officer from 1990 to 2004. In December 2007, John was the first former CIA officer to confirm that the CIA indeed waterboarded prisoners and had a torture program – approved at the highest levels of our government. As a result, Kiriakou spent eighteen months in federal prison – despite the fact that he never tortured anyone. Joel Lambert is a former Navy SEAL. Since completing his Navy career, Joel has done it all. He's written a book! Acted in blockbuster Hollywood movies. Hosted his own show Predators Up Close on Discovery Channel. This is Joel Lambert's inaugural appearance on the Break It Down Show. A Navy SEAL's Bug-In Guide: How to Turn Your House into the Safest Place on Earth Here's the blub from his book, Bug In. A Navy Seal's Bug-In Guide There are a lot of bug out guides out there, but this is probably the first ever BUG-IN Guide. And the truth is that for almost every crisis out there, that's what makes the most sense! Except for a few unlikely cases like a raging wildfire or tornado barrelling straight for your house, bugging out is a very bad idea. Why would you ever want to leave your amazing home where you probably have a half full fridge, maybe some cans, a warm bed, a roof over your head, as well as neighbours you know, and terrain you're familiar with, … only to run OUT THERE to some place you know nothing about and try to forage your daily meals? And maybe get 5 calories from some roots after spending 6 calories digging them up. Much better to Bug-In! But you need a guide, or else you might overlook vital things that you just won't be able to get once a crisis is underway. Inside this unique 240-page physical book, former Navy Seal and BUD/S Instructor Joel Lambert will show you exactly what you need to stockpile and know to turn your house into the safest place on Earth. Unlike most other “survival experts” Joel has survived war and chaos from Iraq to Afghanistan, and other places you've probably never heard about. His survival knowledge, which you'll find in the book, is not theoretical – it's the purest form of practical. The stuff that actually saves lives and families once things go terribly bad, and there's no more 911 to call.

The 2024 election is done. The presidential race broke for President Donald Trump. It appears that both houses of congress favor Republicans. We dig deep into our bag of talented pros to speak with James Rosebush and Robert Hunter. These two decades long pros in DC sit on opposite sides of th aisle...yet, they are friends. In part because they are neighbors, but also, because Pete A Turner brought the two together. Rather than gloat, celebrate or denigrate. We'll seek to find areas to collaborate, tolerate and get beyond small party beliefs. Let's see how we proceed now that the demos has spoken.
