Join Tom Fox, the Voice of Compliance, as he visits with top innovative minds, thinkers, and creators in the award-winning Innovation in Compliance podcast. In this episode,  host Tom visits with Tim Morss, CEO at SpeakUp, about the evolution of speak-up systems from the employee perspective. Morss describes his background in compliance technology and SpeakUp's global footprint, emphasizing that employee expectations favor frictionless, mobile-first, intuitive reporting with transparency and feedback over 800-number hotlines and complex forms. He notes common program gaps: hard-to-find reporting channels, poor mobile experiences, overreliance on telephony (especially problematic for non-English speakers), insufficient guidance on what to report, and weak trust due to lack of follow-up and perceived inaction. They consider generational preferences, privacy-aware deployment, such as QR code placement, and AI use cases such as multilingual voice intake for illiterate supply-chain workers, while cautioning against unsafe AI practices and autonomous decision-making. Morss highlights investigative management as a major opportunity beyond basic case repositories and forecasts greater AI-driven integration with in-house systems amid geopolitical and regulatory divergence. Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm so honored to have back on the show for a second time: Masonic Ritual Abuse Victim, Survivor and now Whistleblower for the first time, intuitive empath, entrepreneur, public speaker and improv comedian, biofeedback facilitator and educator, clean farming and nature lover, and an incredible hero coming forward to advocate for whistleblower and survivor protection and safety and to do everything in her power to facilitate the change she wishes to see in the world: Allison AdamsA little bit about Allison in case you're new here, missed her riveting first episode, or need a little recap:Long before tragedy found her, Allison had already forged a remarkable path. Diagnosed with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy as a child, she refused to be defined by it. For 45 years she mastered her condition through unwavering commitment to clean food, restorative sleep, mindfulness, and inner sovereignty. This wasn't mere management—it was her superpower, a disciplined daily practice that kept her grounded and vibrant. An outsider by choice and circumstance, she lived openly and trustingly. But that openness was brutally exploited. In April 2020, on the patio of an acquaintance named Marty - a James Beard-nominated chef connected to a network that was targeting her through sophisticated grooming tactics - Allison was drugged with at least four substances. She lost ten harrowing hours to ritualistic horror: violation, strangulation, hazing, and terror orchestrated by a sophisticated, organized network. Yet even in that altered state, her decades of biofeedback training activated. While her body appeared unconscious, her consciousness remained hyperaware. Piece by piece, Allison gracefully reconstructed her truth and healing the same way she managed her epilepsy growing up.Allison's awakening turned personal devastation into fierce purpose. She watched brave whistleblowers step forward only to face targeting, financial desperation, illness, and silencing: These stories ignited a righteous anger in Allison. She realized disclosure isn't just dramatic testimonies - it is everyday survivors like her speaking out, and it demands community protection. There is no witness protection for these crimes. Society often blames victims, dismisses their stories as too outrageous, or changes the channel because the darkness is uncomfortable. Allison challenges us to do something - share, like, comment, donate five dollars instead of a coffee, offer a skill, send encouragement. In her own words: “Do what you can, but do something.” Her own story reveals how insidious and organized the darkness is. Allison was not born into a multi-generational cult family - an important truth that shows anyone can be hunted and lured. Yet she refuses silence. Her testimony is unique yet unifying - detailing not only the horror, but her path of remembering, healing protocols drawn from a lifetime of self-mastery, and her battle cry for community accountability. She demands we stop losing children through these corrupt systems, that we surround survivors, amplify their voices, and create real support so no one faces this alone.Allison embodies the rarest heroism: quiet, relentless, and transformative. She proves survival is not passive endurance but active rising - speaking, organizing, and loving the vulnerable more fiercely because she knows the cost. Rooted in inner discipline, awareness, and unyielding courage, she has become a force of justice and healing. Even while still at risk, her light shines undimmed.Allison continues to shine as a beacon of hope, proving that courage multiplied by truth can overcome any darkness. The world is forever brighter, stronger, and more compassionate because she chose to rise and speak. Her legacy is not one of victimhood, but of triumphant, unbreakable light that invites every soul to join her in building a safer, more awakened world.WATCH ALLISON'S PART 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCgKSfDJ4nsCONNECT WITH ALLISON:Donate on Buy Me a Coffee: https://buymeacoffee.com/allison1776X: https://x.com/AdamsAllis94140CONNECT WITH EMMA:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@imaginationpodcastofficialRumble: https://rumble.com/c/TheImaginationPodcastEMAIL: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.com OR standbysurvivors@protonmail.comMy Substack: https://emmakatherine.substack.com/BUY ME A COFFEE: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/theimaginationVENMO: @emmapreneurCASHAPP: $EmmaKatherine1204All links: https://direct.me/theimaginationpodcastSupport the show

Have you hear of the False Claims Act? This whistleblower statute recovers $2–6 billion per year for taxpayers. But most of us have never heard of it. Well, If you report fraud against the government (a "qui tam" action) and the government recovers, the whistleblower receives 15–25% of the recovery.Sam Buffone is our guest on this episode of Fraudish, he is whistleblower attorney and founder of the Buffone Law Group. Sam spent 9 years at the Department of Justice and helped recover $3 billion in civil fraud enforcement. Kelly met him at the Maryland ACFE conference after being impressed by his last-minute fill-in presentation.Sam describes his role as a translator: whistleblowers come to him feeling gaslit, with scattershot observations, and he packages their experience into something that speaks the government's language and directs investigative attention. Cases routinely take years. He works on contingency (no recovery = no fee), which is essential since whistleblowers rarely have the budget to fight corporations.Sam doesn't advertise. Whistleblower clients are scared, isolated, and often don't even know whistleblower attorneys exist as a specialty. Ever wondered why your team's brilliant technical expert turns into a bumbling fool the second they're promoted? Or why your boss would rather launch a doomed rocket than admit a mistake? Welcome to the brutal, biological truth: status is the invisible force driving every decision, conflict, and ego in your workplace. In this eye-opening episode, Jimmy and James are joined by Ceri Newton-Sargunar—neuroscientist, chaos theorist, and self-proclaimed "ologist"—to dissect how our primal need for status (success, power, or virtue) shapes behaviour, from boardroom power plays to the quiet despair of middle managers. Ceri reveals why even flat organisations aren't immune, how status threats trigger the same brain response as a punch to the face, and why your "virtuous" colleague might actually be the office's biggest problem.Key points:Status isn't just about job titles—it's a biological drive as old as the pecking order in chickens. The three types of status: success, power, and virtue—and why they clash spectacularly. Why promoted experts often fail: losing technical status can break their sense of self.Psychological safety is impossible without addressing status threats. How to spot your own status monsters (and everyone else's).Dry, unflinching, and packed with dark humour, this is the episode that'll make you question every meeting, every promotion, and every time you've rolled your eyes at a colleague.Got a question - get in touch. What happens when a 50-year-old brand built on whistleblowing and independent journalism has to master digital subscriptions? For Ben Moss, CEO of The Moss Report and Publisher of the Townsend Letter, the answer was trading a "leaky" paywall for a high-value "Essentials" strategy. In this episode of the Paywall Podcast powered by Leaky Paywall, Ben joins Pete to discuss how he modernized two legendary niche publications without losing the "Trust Moat" his father built over half a century. They dive deep into the mechanics of the digital transition, including:The "Essentials" Strategy: How Ben replaced a standard metered paywall with a curated "Starter Pack" of 20 high-value articles—and why it triggered a 30% spike in free registrations. The Power of the Automated Drip: A look at the 18-email onboarding sequence that nurtures new readers from "casual visitor" to "mission-driven subscriber."Consolidating the Tech Stack: Why Ben moved away from "Frankenstein" setups (like Mailchimp) to an integrated Flow Letter and Leaky Paywall dashboard to save time and reduce technical debt.Acquiring a Legacy: The reality of taking over the 40-year-old Townsend Letter, moving it from a declining print-and-ad model to a 100% digital, reader-supported platform. The "Patreon" Mindset: Why authenticity and a whistleblowing legacy are the ultimate competitive advantages in an AI-driven world where "information is cheap, but trust is expensive."If you are a niche publisher wondering how to turn a loyal "analog" audience into a thriving digital community, this episode is a blueprint for building a brand that readers don't just read, they fund.

Comment on the Show by Sending Mark a Text Message. What happens when a workplace meant to honor the dead becomes a breeding ground for sexual harassment and toxic culture? Join Mark Carey in this eye-opening episode of the Employee Survival Guide® as he unpacks the shocking case of Sheehan v. Everstory Partners, a federal lawsuit that exposes the horrific realities faced by employees in a funeral home setting. This episode is not just a recounting of legal proceedings; it's a clarion call for every employee to understand their rights in the face of discrimination and harassment. Carey and his co-host dive deep into the allegations made by five brave female plaintiffs who faced severe sexual harassment and were coerced into violating state laws regarding the handling of human remains. The contrast between the expected solemnity of a funeral home and the chaotic, degrading behavior reported by employees could not be more stark. As they dissect the implications of this case, listeners will gain a clearer picture of how sexual harassment can manifest in even the most unexpected places, and why it's crucial to advocate for a healthy workplace culture. But this episode goes beyond just storytelling; it highlights the legal significance of the Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Act of 2021 (EFAA). This landmark legislation empowers employees to bypass mandatory arbitration agreements in cases of sexual harassment, opening doors for justice that many thought were permanently closed. The hosts break down procedural maneuvers, the gravity of the allegations, and what the court's rulings could mean for the future of employment law and corporate accountability. Are you aware of the fine print in your employment contract? This episode serves as a wake-up call, urging employees to educate themselves about their rights and the potential pitfalls of workplace policies. From severance negotiations to understanding workplace discrimination, Carey provides insider tips that can help you navigate employment law issues effectively. Whether you're dealing with retaliation, hostile work environments, or simply trying to survive in a toxic workplace, this episode is packed with valuable insights and resources for every employee. Don't miss this opportunity to empower yourself with knowledge about workplace rights, legal protections, and the importance of advocating for a fair work environment. In this raw episode of Do Good to Lead Well, I welcome Tom Hardin, whose journey from Wall Street hedge fund analyst to one of the FBI's most prolific informants is a powerful examination of what drives good people to cross ethical lines. Despite the widespread belief that corruption comes from major events, Tom outlines the subtle drift and rationalizations that can turn ambition into poor decisions.Tom makes a compelling case that most people are far more vulnerable to contextual pressures than they would care to admit. In fact, he argues that the more confident we are in our belief that we are incorruptible, the more likely we are to make an ethical misstep. Through honest storytelling, the episode urges us to move beyond blaming or distancing ourselves, challenging us to ask better questions, reflect on our own values, and foster workplaces where psychological safety and true accountability can thrive. For anyone seeking a deeply personal and vulnerable understanding of ethics, culture, and resilience, this conversation delivers practical tools for self-reflection, leadership, and building lasting trust. Comment on the Show by Sending Mark a Text Message. What would you do if your career was at stake, and your integrity was challenged by the very system you worked for? In this gripping episode of Employee Survival Guide®, Mark Carey unravels the whistleblowing legal saga of Trevor Murray, a strategist at UBS who faced a harrowing integrity dilemma in the cutthroat world of Wall Street. As the pressure mounted to alter his research reports to benefit the trading desk, Murray found himself at a crossroads, ultimately choosing whistleblowing on unethical practices that threatened not just his job, but the very fabric of corporate integrity. This episode takes you on a deep dive into the murky waters of employment law, focusing on pivotal legislation such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the Dodd-Frank Act. Over an arduous 14-year journey through various legal battles, Murray's case culminated in a landmark Supreme Court decision that redefined whistleblowing, clarifying that the intent to retaliate does not need to be proven for a case to hold water. But as we celebrate this legal victory, we must also confront the harsh realities faced by whistleblowers. Are the protections offered by the law truly effective, or do they merely exist on paper? Join us as we explore the moral and ethical challenges that arise in a hostile work environment, shedding light on critical issues like employee rights, retaliation, and workplace discrimination. Murray's story raises vital questions about the culture of silence that often pervades corporate America, and the toll that such battles can take on individuals' lives and careers. Through this lens, we examine the broader implications of employment law issues, from severance negotiations to performance improvement plans, and the importance of employee advocacy in navigating workplace dynamics. Whether you're an employee grappling with a toxic work culture, a manager striving for a healthier workplace, or someone interested in the intricacies of employment law, this episode is packed with insights and practical advice. Send us a textA simple question opens a complicated story: what happens when you say no to a powerful directive that feels wrong? Rick joins us with 43 years of experience spanning infantry, war-zone logistics, and Pentagon program oversight to recount how refusing an alleged extortion scheme set off a cascade of retaliation, reassignment, and legal battles. The stakes are not just personal—this is about how procurement ethics, whistleblower protection, and culture shape national security and public trust. We walk through his time in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan, where he says he pushed back on inflated costs, substandard equipment, and pressure to rubber-stamp paperwork. Then we move to the Pentagon, where Rick describes a supervisor's alleged attempt to steer work from one contractor to a competitor to prompt a payoff hidden as a cost overrun. He asked for the order in writing; it never came. Instead, he says doors closed, friendships and office politics complicated oversight, and a familiar pattern emerged: small write-ups, nitpicks about tone and attendance, and a transfer that led to new allegations of harassment and denied accommodations. This conversation goes beyond headlines to examine how DEI can be misused when identity becomes a shield against scrutiny, why fewer veterans in key roles changes decision-making, and where contracting oversight often cracks under pressure. We dig into the alphabet soup—MSPB, OSC, EEOC, ADA—and how slow, costly processes can deter even the most committed public servants. The message is clear: real inclusion requires merit, transparency, and the courage to investigate quickly, document directives, and protect those who speak up. If you care about defense acquisition, government accountability, and protecting taxpayer dollars, this is a story you need to hear.If this resonates, subscribe, share with a colleague, and leave a review with your take: how should agencies strengthen oversight and safeguard whistleblowers without politics?Stories of Service presents guests' stories and opinions in their own words, reflecting their personal experiences and perspectives. In the UK, whistleblowers are encouraged to report wrongdoing, but often at cost to their livelihoods and careers. One solution would be to pay corporate whistleblowers for coming forward. However, many in government have held the idea for years that doing so is not very “British.” But now, longtime opposition to the idea seems to be shifting. Suzi Ring, the FT's legal correspondent in London, explains how and why. The two are now working in DC to rewrite the law that broke healthcare's back in the first place.Dr. Robitaille's substack: https://substack.com/@pattirobitaillemdPATREON https://www.patreon.com/c/demystifysciPARADIGM DRIFThttps://demystifysci.com/paradigm-drift-showHOMEBREW MUSIC - Check out our new album!Hard Copies (Vinyl): FREE SHIPPING https://demystifysci-shop.fourthwall.com/products/vinyl-lp-secretary-of-nature-everything-is-so-good-hereStreaming:https://secretaryofnature.bandcamp.com/album/everything-is-so-good-here00:00 Go!00:02:01 Historical Context of Healthcare Corruption00:06:44 Erosion of Physician Advocacy00:10:01 Inversion of the Peer Review System00:14:08 Case Study: Dr. Christopher Dunch00:19:20 Proposed Legislative Changes00:22:40 Profit Motive vs. Patient Care00:25:00 Impact of the Databank on Practitioners00:30:34 Disruption Labels and Patient Safety00:34:28 Case Study of Dr. Ryan00:40:25 Flaws in Peer Review Legislation00:43:36 Physician Rights and Hospital Contracts00:46:04 The Impact of Credentialing Practices00:50:35 Case Study: Jacob Newfeld's Plight00:55:00 Evaluations and Their Consequences01:04:25 The Dehumanizing Experience of Psychiatric Evaluation01:08:21 Tragic Outcomes of Mismanaged Care01:10:24 The Flaws in Administrative Accountability01:12:50 The Corruption Within Healthcare Administration01:18:06 Systemic Issues in Patient Safety and Care01:23:40 The Need for Legal Protections in Healthcare01:25:29 Fraudulent Practices in Hospitals01:28:15 The Dystopian Shift in Patient Care01:31:44 Organ Harvesting Concerns in Healthcare01:39:43 Legal Actions and Institutional Corruption01:44:17 Consequences of Whistleblowing in Medicine01:47:40 History and Context of Sham Peer Review01:48:34 Advocacy and Legislative Action01:52:02 Patient Vulnerability and Reform Potential01:53:40 Education and Awareness Campaign#makeamericahealthyagain #healthcareheroes , #medicalethics , #physician , #patientcare , #whistleblowers , #healthpolicy , #dataprivacy , #healthcarecosts, #patientadvocacy, #philosophypodcast, #rfkjr MERCH: Rock some DemystifySci gear : https://demystifysci-shop.fourthwall.com/AMAZON: Do your shopping through this link: https://amzn.to/3YyoT98DONATE: https://bit.ly/3wkPqaDSUBSTACK: https://substack.com/@UCqV4_7i9h1_V7hY48eZZSLw@demystifysci RSS: https://anchor.fm/s/2be66934/podcast/rssMAILING LIST: https://bit.ly/3v3kz2S SOCIAL: - Discord: https://discord.gg/MJzKT8CQub- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/DemystifySci- Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/DemystifySci/- Twitter: https://twitter.com/DemystifySciMUSIC: -Shilo Delay: https://g.co/kgs/oty671

What if business insiders could accelerate antitrust enforcement as they have done with other corporate misconduct, like fraud? That's exactly what the Department of Justice is hoping for.In this special episode* of the Emerging Litigation Podcast, I'm joined by Julie Keeton Bracker of Bracker & Marcus and Dan Mogin of Mogin Law to dig into a new program designed to motivate antitrust whistleblowers. They trace the roots of qui tam cases—laws that let private citizens, called relators, bring suits on behalf of the government—and why they remain one of the most powerful tools for uncovering corporate fraud and misconduct. Julie explains historical and modern False Claims Act litigation, and Dan walks us through the machinations of private and public enforcement of antitrust laws, the Sherman Act being the big dog in this fight. Together they describe the Department of Justice's aspirations to bring individuals into the antitrust enforcement game.Along the way, Julie and Dan share lessons from their practices and insights on where whistleblower and antitrust enforcement may be headed next.If you've ever wondered how whistleblowers drive billion-dollar recoveries, or what the rise of antitrust whistleblowing means for businesses and enforcers alike, this episode is worth a listen. Thanks to Julie and Dan for sharing their insights based on decades of practice in two challenging and important areas of law. Tom HagyHost of the Emerging Litigation PodcastP.S. 1000 Year Plan to Crush Thought - Michael Vassar, DemystifySci #366

Michael Vassar is a futurist philosopher who believes that our civilization has lost the ability to think clearly, as the result of a silent project to destroy education that has been running in the background for generations. At the core of his argument is that the modern world has been shaped by elites interested in taking over the world. Interestingly, he seems to think that this multi-generational plan has backfired, and produced a society where there is a vanishingly small number of people even capable of formulating such grand ambitions, let alone possess the cognitive abilities to execute on their plans. We talk through his argument, and start to unpack some lore about the Rationalists, an online community that openly pursues the ideals of the enlightenment but can't stop spawning cults for some reason.
