She's back! Ventress has been resurrected somehow, we dive deep into this episode of the bad batch. There's a lot to get into here, debating ressurecting characters, some deserve it and some don't. Those who have completed the Clone Wars journey and read Dark Disciple will know exactly how her fate wound up.. or do we?  Asajj Ventress was a whirlwind of rage and sorrow. Betrayal carved a cavern in her heart, leaving only a burning desire for revenge. Consumed by the dark side, she craved power, a twisted echo of the strength she yearned for as a Jedi Padawan. Yet, beneath the fury flickered a flicker of vulnerability. The sting of rejection by Dooku, the echo of her master's death, hinted at a complex soul trapped in a web of vengeance. There were moments, fleeting and fragile, where one could glimpse the warrior yearning for redemption, a warrior haunted by the ghosts of what could have been. And along came Quinlan Vos. The redeeming event in her life. It's unfortunate people could not see this story play out on screen, but I urge listeners out there to read through Dark Disciple. It's not only one of the greatest star wars stories told, clone wars episodes produced (in a novel), but it's one of the best endings for a character we ever saw. Ausgelesen #61 – Schüler der Dunklen Seite

JediCast

Zeitmarken spoilerfreier Teil 00:00:00 - Begrüßung 00:01:21 - It was so nice, we did it thrice? 00:04:29 - Erwartungen damals und heute 00:09:29 - Zentrale Stärke und Schwäche Spoilerteil 00:11:30 - Das typische The Clone Wars-Intro? 00:20:29 - Die abgelenkten Jedi und Vos' Motivation 00:28:30 - Hass als Antwort 00:38:05 - The Waiting Jedi 00:41:46 - Manipulation auf dem Silbertablett 00:50:05 - Wer braucht schon die Moral? 00:55:55 - POV-Change 01:02:08 - Handauflegen mit Meister Yoda 01:13:00 - Dooku und Ventress: Ziemlich beste Freunde? 01:15:57 - Fought and Lost 01:21:40 - Niemals geht man so ganz? In Star Wars Episode 7 The Force Awakens, Rey touched Luke Skywalker's lightsaber and immediately had visions of past events. Events where we heard Vader's breathing, Cloud City from Empire Strikes Back, Kylo Ren, Luke and R2, and even heard Yoda and Obi-Wan speak to her (wish we heard Anakin). How did Rey see these things? Is this a power or some magic? I believe it's a power that's in canon called psychometry. It's something Quinlan Vos has the ability to do as well. What do you think? One of our all time favorite Clone Wars episodes is "Hunt for Ziro" where Obi-Wan Kenobi gets paired up with Quinlan Vos. The resulting snark and banter is second to none and made LeeAnn and Lauren instant fans of the roguish Jedi. In this episode, we discuss this hilarious duo, as well as the book Dark Disciple, and Quinlan's mention in the Kenobi series. We hope you enjoy!

Mike's laptop died yesterday (he's using Megan's for now), so his planned (& recorded) episode of the 5 Obi-Wan comics may have been lost, so instead here is a book review from Mike's Patreon for the Clone Wars Era novel Dark Disciple by Christie Golden, focusing on Quinlan Vos & Asajj Ventress! The book was made from unused Clone Wars episode scripts so it fits in with season 6/7 perfectly! Please also note this was recorded in a car so the quality isn't the usual standard! Last week, Mike delved into the fifth & final batch of Crimson Reign comics, where the archivist & the Knights Of Ren travel to a dark side cave to use the screaming key while Qi'ra initiates the next stage of Crimson Dawn's plan against the Empire. Plus, Leia goes up against Commander Zahra in a cave, Sabé takes Vader to meet some unexpected faces from his past, Dengar confronts Lord Khamdek of the Mourner's Wail and Sana must deal with the consequences of Aphra fusing with the Spark Eternal… To hear Mike's exclusive Legends book reviews including Shatterpoint, Darth Bane & Darth Plagueis as well as the movie & TV “Afterthoughts” episodes, support the show at http://patreon.com/genuinechitchat Subscribe to Mike's YouTube channel for videos, playlists and more content! https://youtube.com/GenuineChitChat Mike's Guest Spots: Mike & Megan discussed She Hulk Episode 7 on Comics In Motion's Feed: https://pod.fo/e/143eaf Mike & Megan recently joined Dan & Ria for another Disney Discussion, this time on the weird movies Disney don't want you to see (which aren't even on Disney+)! https://pod.fo/e/143657 Mike appeared on Frank Burton's I Like The Sound Podcast here: https://pod.fo/e/143cf0 Mike went on Ike's Flame podcast to talk about The High Republic here: https://pod.fo/e/143ce4 Intro & outro reads by BZ The Voice: http://bzthevoice.com --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/comics-in-motion-podcast/message

Hello ! S3E7 - Assassin 3:48Tasked to protect Senator Padmé Amidala during a political mission to Alderaan, Padawan Ahsoka Tano is plagued by recurring visions of recently-deceased bounty hunter, Aurra Sing. Unable to clear her mind, Ahsoka worries that the stress of conflict is finally getting to her until her visions indeed prove prophetic. Padmé narrowly avoids death when Aurra Sing attempts to assassinate her. Together, Padmé and Ahsoka trap the hunter, and Ahsoka discovers the true villain behind the plot to kill Padmé: the incarcerated gangster, Ziro the Hutt.S3E8 - Evil Plans 10:42In the middle of a routine shopping trip on Coruscant, C-3PO is abducted by the bounty hunter Cad Bane. Bane is looking for information about the Senate building on behalf of Jabba the Hutt. Finding C-3PO devoid of useful information, Bane and his accomplices kidnap R2-D2 and extract the vital data, before memory-wiping the droids of the incident, and letting them on their way. S3E9 - Hunt for Ziro 16:37Cad Bane has broken Ziro the Hutt out of prison. The Hutt Council demands that Ziro tell them where he's hidden vital -- and incriminating -- information: a journal detailing the criminal activities of the Hutt families. Ziro makes another daring escape with the help of his estranged (and strange) lover, Sy Snootles. Bane is back on the Hutt's trail -- but he's not the only one. The Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Quinlan Vos need to find him too. A chase through the swamps of Nal Hutta leads the pursuers to Ziro's enormous mother, Mama the Hutt, who points them to Teth. It is here, in the secret grave of Ziro's father, that the fugitive Hutt has hidden the diary. When he retrieves it, Snooty reveals her true spots. S3E10 - Heroes on Both Sides 21:42When the Senate begins debating a bill that would eliminate government oversight of the Banking Clan's activities in order to fund the war, Padmé and Ahsoka travel in secret to the capital of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Amidala attempts to forge a peace agreement with the Separatists, while Ahsoka sees, for the first time, the people of the Confederacy. Padmé's friend, Mina Bonteri, spearheads the peace initiative, and convinces the Separatist Congress to sue for peace. Meanwhile, on Coruscant, Senators Lott Dod and Gume Saam conspire with Banking Clan representative Nix Card and Count Dooku to make the banking deregulation a reality. At Dooku's command, General Grievous engineers an attack at the central power distribution grid on Coruscant, carried out by Separatist demolition droids. S3E11 - Pursuit of Peace 35:14Padmé, Bail Organa and Onaconda Farr attempt to rally Senators in opposition to a bill that would appropriate funds for millions of new clone troops and have disastrous financial consequences for the Republic. Their opposition to the measure, however, soon makes them targets for intimidation and attacks by hired guns. After escaping two hired thugs -- Chata Hyoki and Robonino -- in a harrowing speeder bike chase, Padmé is able to sway the Senate with a stirring account of how the war has affected an everyday civilian, her handmaiden Teckla Minnau.S3E12 - Nightsisters 41:07Troubled by Asajj Ventress' growing prowess with the dark side of the Force, Darth Sidious commands Count Dooku to eliminate her. But Ventress survives Dooku's assassination attempt, and the jilted former apprentice vows to take revenge, enlisting the aid of her kinswomen -- the mystical Nightsisters -- in her sinister scheme. Mother Talzin, leader of the Nightsisters, veils Asajj and her fellow assassins in a cloak of invisibility, and they infiltrate Dooku's palace on Serenno. Though they fail to kill the Count, their use of captured Jedi lightsabers leads Dooku to mistakenly believe that the Jedi have tried to kill him. Interested in protection, he requests a new apprentice from Mother Talzin.

Nick and Joe discuss the great novel, Dark Disciple, by Christie Golden. This storyline was originally put together by Katie Lucas as an eight part arc in Clone Wars before the series was cancelled. It is hard to believe this book came out in July 2015 before we saw The Force Awakens. This is a must-read for any fan of the Clone Wars and Asajj Ventress. We love to see her story arc across the Clone Wars through this novel. It was great to see more depth of Quinlan Vos as we barely got to know him in the animated series. Having Obi-Wan, Count Dooku, Boba Fett and others as parts of this story was fabulous.Asajj and Quinlan teaming up and attempting to assassinate Dooku is a great storyline. Having them grow feelings for eachother took it to another level.Nick and I both highly recommend this book to anyone that loves this era of Star Wars.  @rulethegalaxysw on TwitterRule the Galaxy on YouTuberulethegalaxySW@gmail.com

Tholme’s previous training on Anzati served him in good stead in evading Order 66: allowing him to make his way to refuge on Kashyyk.
